The Development of the Ability to Solve Mathematical Problems and Academic Achievement Decimal Problem of Prathomsuksa6 Students Through Cooperative Learning Management STAD and KWDL Technique

The research aimed to achieve the following objectives: 1)Assess the effectiveness of cooperative learning management utilizing the STAD technique and KWDL technique among PrathomSuksa6 students in solving decimal problems, with a target of achieving a 75/75 criterion. 2) Enhance the problem-solving abilities of grade 6students in mathematics by implementing cooperative learning management using the combined STAD technique and KWDL technique, compared to a 75 percent criterion. 3) Improve the learning achievement in mathematics of grade 6 students in solving decimal problems through cooperative learning management, employing the STAD technique and KWDL technique, in line with a 75 percent criterion. The research was conducted with a selected group of 33 students from Prathomsuksa6/1, first semester, academic year 2022, at Ban Chiang Yuen School. The research tools employed were: 1) a cooperative learning plan incorporating the STAD and KWDL techniques, 2) a mathematics problem-solving ability test, and 3) a mathematics learning achievement test. Data analysis involved the use of percentage, mean, standard deviation, and efficiency (E1/E2).
 
 The findings of the study indicated the following: Cooperative learning management using the STAD technique and KWDL technique exhibited an efficiency of 76.14/75.45, satisfying the 75/75 criterion. The average mathematics score post-intervention was 75.76 percent, surpassing the 75 percent criterion. Mathematics learning achievement, as measured by the average score post-intervention, reached 75.45 percent, fulfilling the 75 percent criterion.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL SNOWBALL DRILLING TYPE IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Snowball Drilling cooperative learning model in learning mathematics. This study used a true experimental research design with the type of posttest-only control design. This study's population was all class VII MTS Darul Ulum Bandung Diwek Jombang students. At the same time, the sample was 30 students for the experimental group and 30 students for the control group. This sample was obtained through a random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a mathematics learning achievement test sheet in the form of an essay with five questions. Data analysis techniques used in this study include the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing (t-test). Based on data analysis showed that the results of the t-test for two independent samples obtained a sig value of 0.036 for the experimental group and control group with an α value of 5%, so that sig ˂ α means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means there are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes with and without using the snowball drilling type of cooperative learning model. Because there are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes with and without using the snowball drilling type cooperative learning model, it can be concluded that the Snowball Drilling type cooperative learning model is effectively used in learning mathematics.

Experimentation of Think Pair Share learning assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematics learning outcomes

This study seeks to identify learning models that influence students' mathematics learning outcomes. Based on the level of absorption, the learning outcomes of the SMK Terpadu Jannatul Firdaus students have not yet reached the KKM and the learning outcomes in mathematics are not good or low, especially in the field of quadratic function equations, due to the not optimal indicators of the learning process at the school. One solution that can be applied is the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model assisted by GeoGebra Software. This quantitative experimental research used a quasi-experimental design, namely the Posttest Only Control Design with a population of all students of class XI at SMK Terpadu Jannatul Firdaus. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling with three randomly selected samples, two as the experimental class and one as the control class. The first experimental class was taught through the application of the TPS learning model assisted by GeoGebra Software, the second experiment used the TPS learning model only, and the third was used as a control class using the conventional model. The research instrument uses a mathematics learning achievement test instrument. The research hypothesis uses Anova test and post-Anova test. The results showed that students who were taught using the TPS model assisted by the GeoGebra Software obtained a better average and outperformed compared to students who were taught using the conventional model or only the TPS model, as calculated in this study, Fcount was 8.620, which was greater than Ftable, which was 3.096.

EKSPERIMENTASI MODEL BLENDED LEARNING BERBANTUAN VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN MEDIA WHATSAPP GROUP TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA

This study aims to find out whether the blended learning model with the help of learning videos is better than the blended learning model with the help of whatsapp groups on the mathematics learning achievement of class XI MA Ma'arif NU Kaliangkrik students in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is an experimental research using the posttest only control group design with data collection in this study using the cluster random sampling technique. The subjects of this study were grade 11 students of MA Ma'arif NU Kalingkrik who were taken from 2 classes. Data was collected using a mathematics learning achievement test that had been tested and met the reliability and validity requirements, then analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. The hypothesis test used is the t-test. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the blended learning model assisted by learning videos is better than the WhatsApp group assisted learning model for students' mathematics learning achievement.

Self-Efficacy in Mathematics Learning and Efforts to Improve It

This research was conducted to determine the effect of self-efficacy on mathematics learning achievement of students in class XI IPA SMA in Riau and efforts to improve it. This research is a descriptive quantitative research combined with correlational research, with a research sample of 30 students from class XI IPA SMA in Riau who were selected using random sampling technique. Data collection techniques are filling out questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The data collection instruments are: (1) self-efficacy questionnaire, (2) mathematics learning achievement test, and (3) interview to increase self-efficacy. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, namely simple regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) students' self-efficacy was in the medium category, (2) students' mathematics learning achievement was in the medium category, (3) self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on students' mathematics learning achievement, (4) efforts that could What is done in increasing student self-efficacy is (4.1) giving students opportunities to answer existing problems, (4.2) giving awards, (4.3) using models that make students play an active role in learning (4.4) providing positive reinforcements to students, (4.5) providing equal opportunities to all students, (4.6) using group learning and (4.7) using peer tutors.

EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER (NHT) PADA SISWA SMP

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning mathematics through the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative model in class IX-G students of SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. Criteria for the effectiveness of learning can be seen from the increased student learning outcomes and classical learning mastery, at least 75%, the average percentage of student activity in learning mathematics and students who give a positive response to learning mathematics reaches 75%. This type of research is pre-experimental involving one class as the experimental class. The experimental class that became the sample in this study was selected using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research design used was the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted for 6 (six) meetings. The data collection technique used was a mathematics learning achievement test to measure student learning outcomes before and after learning mathematics through the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative model, student activity observation sheets to see student activity during the learning process, and student response questionnaires to knowing students' responses to the implementation of learning mathematics by using the cooperative learning model of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type. The results of this study indicate that, 1) The results of students' mathematics learning after the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model are categorized as "Increasing" and "Completed" classically, 2) Student activities in learning mathematics are categorized as "Active", and 3) Student responses to learning mathematics are categorized as "positive". Based on the results of this study, students have met the criteria for the effectiveness of learning mathematics, so it can be concluded that learning mathematics is effectively implemented through the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative model in class IX-G students of SMP Negeri 21 Makassar.

Improving 7th-grade junior high school mathematics achievement through numbered heads together

The purpose of this study was to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII A students with the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the triangle material at SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta. This type of research is classroom action research, while the method in this research is quantitative by collecting data through documents and tests. The subjects of this study were 21 students of class VII-A. The test instruments used were the pretest and posttest (evaluation questions in cycle I and cycle II) consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions. The data analysis technique of the mathematics learning achievement test was carried out by calculating the class average score. The results showed that there was an increase in mathematics learning achievement. This is indicated by an increase in the average percentage of student mathematics learning outcomes which increased from an average initial value of 48.33 to 67.86 in the first cycle and in the second cycle to 75.93. So it can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII A students on triangle material.

Implementation of Mobile Learning in Mathematics Instruction for Elementary Second Graders

In this study, a mobile learning system (MLS) was developed and adopted to facilitate elementary second-grade students to learn mathematics. A quasi-experimental design was adopted. There were two learning models, including the typical instruction group (TI group) and MLS group. The learning content is the topic of multiplication. A total of 93 s-grade students from four classes in a public elementary school in Northern Taiwan participated in this research. Participants were randomly divided into the MLS group (47 participants: 22 boys and 25 girls) and the TI group (46 participants: 26 boys and 20 girls). Participants in the MLS group received mathematics instruction in the MLS, whereas those in the TI group received direct instruction in typical classrooms. All students took the pretest and posttest of mathematics learning achievement test and mathematics learning interest scale assess their improvement of learning achievement and learning interest after the learning activities. The findings revealed that students in the MLS group had significantly better improvement in their mathematics learning interest and mathematics learning achievement than those in the TI group. In addition, students in the MLS group had significantly better performance in answering items of comprehension and application levels in the mathematics learning achievement test.

ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN TES HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SEKOLAH DASAR BERKARAKTERISTIK HOTS BERBENTUK PILIHAN GANDA

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan analisis kebutuhan terhadap tes hasil belajar Matematika berkarakteristik HOTS (higher-order thinking skills) atau keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi berbentuk pilihan ganda untuk siswa kelas V di kota Singaraja, Kabupaten Buleleng, Provinsi Bali. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada beberapa Sekolah Dasar (SD) di kota Singaraja. Populasi penelitian adalah semua guru Matematika Sekolah Dasar di Kota Singaraja. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel purposif, yakni peneliti menentukan responden dari sekolah-sekolah yang dipilih berdasarkan beberapa karakteristik. Beberapa karakteristik yang dimaksud, yakni (a) sekolah dalam kota dan luar kota, (b) sekolah favorit dan non favorit, (c)) sekolah negeri dan swasta, dan (d) sekolah umum dan muslim. Sampel yang diperoleh berjumlah 7 (tujuh) SD. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Kuesioner pada penelitian ini menghasilkan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif berupa data nominal dari respon “ya” dan “tidak”, sedangkan data kualitatif berupa komentar berdasarkan respon “ya” atau “tidak” yang diberikan. Hal ini dilakukan peneliti agar dapat menarik simpulan yang lebih kuat dan lengkap. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif, sedangkan teknik analisis data kualitatif menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru memerlukan tes hasil belajar Matematika SD berkarakteristik HOTS. Hasil penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengembangkan tes hasil belajar Matematika berkarakteristik HOTS berbetuk pilihan ganda.

The effect of Kumon learning model on mathematics learning outcomes in cognitive style view

This study aimed to determine the effect of Kumon learning model on mathematics learning outcomes in cognitive style view in the Eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Makassar. The research design was quasi experiment with factorial design. The population of this study was the Eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Makassar and the sample technique used was random sampling. The instruments of this study were mathematics learning achievement test, which was divided into pretest and posttest, and GEFT (Get Embed Figure Test) which aimed to categorize the students into two types, FI (field independent) and FD (field dependent). The results indicated that the average improvement of mathematics learning outcomes by applying Kumon model in experimental class increased 34.06% and only 28.83% for control class in the eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Makassar. It could be concluded that the students with FI cognitive style using Kumon model had higher learning outcomes than the students with FI cognitive style taught without Kumon model. And the researcher did not find any significant differences on the students’ learning outcomes of FD cognitive styles in experimental class and control class. Therefore, it could be concluded that Kumon learning model affected the mathematics learning outcomes in cognitive style view in the Eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Makassar.

PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA KOMIK DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA SMP

This research is a quasi-experimental research with an experimental design aimed at: 1) know the influence of the presentation of material in the form of comic media and without comic media on student mathematics learning outcomes; 2) know the interaction of the presentation of the material with learning motivation towards student mathematics learning outcomes; 3) find out whether the results of learning mathematics students who have high learning motivation and are taught by presenting material in the form of comic media is higher than without using comic media; 4)find out whether the results of learning mathematics students who have low learning motivation and are taught by presenting material in the form of comic media is higher than without using comic media. This research involved all SMP in Kab. Gowa. Determination of the sample is done by selecting an A accredited school, while determining the class as a sampling unit using the Purposive Sampling technique with the selected class having more dominant reading interest. So that class VIIIA was chosen at SMP Neg. 1 Sungguminasa as an experimental class and Class VIIIB in SMP Neg. 4 Sungguminasa as a control class. Variables consist of free variables and bound variables. Free variables presented in the form of a comic media and learning motivation while bound variables using the student maths result. The learning tools developed consists of students book (comic media), students worksheet book (comic media) and lesson plan. The data collected in this study were students 'learning motivation obtained using the learning motivation questionnaire instrument and students' mathematics learning outcomes were obtained using the mathematics learning achievement test instrument. Analysis of student mathematics learning outcomes test results using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis namely ANAVA and independent sample t-test. The results that:1) there is an influence between the presentation of material in the form of comic media and the presentation of material without using comic media on student mathematics learning outcomes; 2) there is no interaction of the presentation of the material with learning motivation on student mathematics learning outcomes; 3) mathematics learning outcomes of students who have high learning motivation and are taught by presenting material in the form of comic media are higher than without using comic media; 4) mathematics learning outcomes of students who have low learning motivation and are taught by presenting material in the form of comic media are higher than without using comic media.

The EFFECT OF SCALE CATEGORY NUMBER ON ACCURACY OF PREDICTIVE VALIDITY OF MATHEMATICAL SELF-EFFICACY SCALE

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data about the effect of the number of scale categories on the accuracy of the predictive validity of the Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale between those using a scale of three categories of answers and a scale of five categories of answers. This research uses a quantitative method of comparative study. The population in this study were all students of Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic High School) class XI IPA in North Jakarta in the academic year 2019/2020. Sampling was done by simple random sampling and there were 230 students from six public and private Madrasah Aliyah. The instruments used were tests and non-tests. The test instrument was in the form of a Mathematics learning achievement test and a non-test instrument in the form of a Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale. The research hypothesis was tested using a t-test. The results showed that the average standard error of estimating the predictive validity of the Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale using the five answer categories scale was lower than the scale of the three answer categories. The conclusion of the study is the predictive validity of the Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale which uses a five-answer category scale that is more accurate in predicting mathematics learning outcomes.

Development of Students Work Sheet Based on Realistic Mathematic Approach with Ethnomatematic nuanced to Improve Critical Thinking of 4th Grade Students in Primary School (SD NEGERI 091358 Haranggaol, Haranggaol Horisan Sub-District)

This study aims to develop students' worksheets based on a realistic mathematical approach with Ethnomatematic named on rounding numbers in 4th grade of primary school (SD Negeri 091358 Haranggaol, Haranggaol Horisan Sub-District). The object of this research is the Student Worksheet based on Realistic Mathematics Approach in Ethnomatematic nuance. The instrument used in this study was the mathematics learning achievement test and student response questionnaire. Data were collected and analyzed with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. This research method is Borg & Gall development research combined with Dick & Carey's learning development model. The test subjects consisted of material and design learning experts, two linguists, using trial I and trial II. The results showed (1) The results of the expert test of subject matter on the assessment of the appropriateness of the content and the feasibility of the presentation were in very good criteria (85.42%); (2) The results of the learning design expert test were in very good criteria (94.23%); (3) Linguists' test results are in very good criteria (94.44%); (4) The results of trial I are in good criteria (60%); (5) The results of trial II are in very good criteria (90%).

Experimentation of Interactive Setting Cooperative Learning Model (PSIK) and Course Review Horey (CRH) on The Material Geometry Flat Side Reviewed from Student Intelligence in The SMP N in Districk of Demak

The purpose of this study is to find out from each model of learning mathematics, which provides better mathematics learning achievement, students who have the type of logical intelligence mathematics, visual, kinesthetic or interpersonal. This research method of this study is quasi experimental research or pre-experimental research with research design using 3 x 4 factorial designs. The population in this study is the entire students VIII grade SMP N in districk of Demak. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling technique. Instruments used to collect data are a questionnaire of multiple intelligences and mathematics learning achievement test. The prerequisite test includes the population normality test using the Lilliefors method and the homogeneity test of population variance using the Bartlett method.With α = 0, 05. Hypothesis testing of the study are analysis of variance with unequal cell. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, obtained the conclusion that. There is interaction of learning model on mathematics learning achievement in each category of students’ multiple intelligence.

Pengaruh Kemampuan Verbal dan Kemampuan Numerik terhadap Prestasi Belajar Matematika Siswa SMPS Katolik Aurora Kefamenanu

Kemampuan verbal dan kemampuan numerik adalah kompetensi yang dibutuhkan dalam mempelajari matematika dan diduga berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat ada tidaknya pengaruh kemampuan verbal dan kemampuan numerik terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP baik secara parsial maupun simultan. 
 Penelitian dilakukan di SMPS Katolik Aurora Kefamenanu 2017/2018. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan verbal, tes kemampuan numerik dan tes prestasi belajar matematika.
 Berdasarkan hasil analisis data maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1) Secara parsial terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kemampuan verbal dan kemampuan numerik terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP. 2) Secara simultan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kemampuan verbal dan kemampuan numerik terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa baik secara parsial maupun simultan terdapat pengaruh antara kemampuan verbal dan kemampuan numerik terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMP.

Experimentation of Innovative Learning Models in Terms of Students Multiple Intelligences Among Midle School Students in Demak District

The purpose of this study was to find out from each mathematical learning model, Interactive Setting Cooperative Learning Model (PSIK), Course Review Horey (CRH) and Conventional model, which ones provide better mathematics learning achievements, students who have mathematical intelligence, visual , kinesthetic, or interpersonal in middle school. This research method of this study is quasi-experimental research or pre-experimental research with research design using 3 x 4 factorial designs. The population in this study is the entire students 8th grade SMP N in Demak District. The fokus material in The Material Geometry Flat Side. Sampling was conduct with stratified cluster random sampling techniques. Instruments used to collect data are a questionnaire of multiple intelligences and mathematics learning achievement test. The prerequisite test includes the population normality test using the Lilliefors method and the homogeneity test of population variance using the Bartlett method. With α = 0, 05. Hypothesis testing of the study are analysis of two variance with unequal cell. Based on the results of hypothesis testing is [Fab 4,3390 > 2,14] with the decision of the H test are rejected, this means that there is an interaction between the learning model and students’ multiple intelligence towards mathematics learning achievement

Integrating ethnomathematics into open-ended problem based teaching materials

The idea of integrating ethnomathematics into open-ended problem-based presentation gives a new nuance to mathematics teaching at school. Ethnomathematics is mathematics that develops in a particular culture, and as an alternative in developing mathematics teaching materials which has so far tended to be conventional and less contextual. One way to realize it is by developing open-ended problem-based ethnomathematics which is valid, practical, and effective as an effort to enhance mathematics learning activities and achievement. The development of the teaching materials followed Plomp’s product development procedure. The result of expert validation showed that the teaching materials that have been developed fell into the category of very valid with a few revisions. The student and teacher responses related to the use of the teaching materials showed that the teaching materials fell into the category of very practical with some suggestions for revision. The result of observation related to student activity fell into the category of active and the result of the mathematics learning achievement test of the students underwent an increase in every cycle, so that it showed that the teaching materials developed was effective in enhancing the students’ activities and mathematics teaching achievement.

Problem based learning with scaffolding technique on geometry

Geometry as one of the branches of mathematics has an important role in the study of mathematics. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with scaffolding technique viewed from self-regulation learning toward students’ achievement learning in mathematics. The research data obtained through mathematics learning achievement test and self-regulated learning (SRL) questionnaire. This research employed quasi-experimental research. The subjects of this research are students of the junior high school in Banyumas Central Java. The result of the research showed that problem-based learning model with scaffolding technique is more effective to generate students’ mathematics learning achievement than direct learning (DL). This is because in PBL model students are more able to think actively and creatively. The high SRL category student has better mathematic learning achievement than middle and low SRL categories, and then the middle SRL category has better than low SRL category. So, there are interactions between learning model with self-regulated learning in increasing mathematic learning achievement.

PENINGKATAN KREATIVITAS DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENTS SISWA KELAS VIID SMP NEGERI 2 DUKUN, MAGELANG

The purpose of this research is to increase creativity and mathematics achievement of students in class VIID SMP N 2 Dukun, Magelang with cooperative learning model TGT (Teams Games Tournaments). Type Classroom Action Research. The subject class VIID and object creativity and mathematics learning achievement. Techniques of data collection are using observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The results after application of TGT models, creativity and mathematics learning achievement have increased. This is indicated by the average percentage of questionnaires result of student learning creativity by 47,27% pre-cycle, the first cycle of 60,74%, and 71,27% in the second cycle. Results of students mathematics learning achievement test, the average value of mathematics learning achievement at 52,96 pre-cycle, the first cycle increased to 68,20Â and the second cycle increased to 73,67.
