ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN MATEMATIS SISWA SMA PADA MATERI INTEGRAL

In this research, the researcher wanted to analyze the students' mathematical understanding ability on integral material by using a descriptive qualitative approach. One of the class XII students of SMAN 1 Cikarang Barat was made the subject of this research. The instrument used in this research is a test instrument, which is in the form of an integral material description test question which consists of 7 questions. The results of problem solving by students will be analyzed based on indicators of mathematical understanding, namely interpreting, exemplifying (giving examples), classifying, summarizing, inferring, comparing, and explaining. The results showed that the research subjects were only able to answer 3 questions correctly, which means they were only able to fulfill 3 of the 7 indicators of mathematical understanding. Indicators of mathematical understanding that can be fulfilled by research subjects are summarizing, classifying, and exemplifying (giving examples).

Pemahaman Konsep Matematis: pengaruhnya oleh Gaya Kognitif dan Pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E dengan Geogebra

<p><em>This study aims to see the effect of: 1) cognitive style (Field Independent and Field Dependent) on the ability to understand mathematical concepts; 2) application of the geogebra-assisted cycle 7e learning model on the ability to understand mathematical concepts; 3) the interaction between the learning model group (learning cycle 7E learning model, learning cycle learning model 7E assisted by geogebra and conventional learning model) and the cognitive style group on students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. Quasi experimental design is used as a research method with data collection techniques using concept understanding tests and cognitive style tests. The two-way ANOVA test was used to find answers to the research objectives that had previously been tested for normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that: 1) The application of the 7E learning cycle learning model with geogebra has a good effect on the ability to understand mathematical concepts; 2) cognitive style has no effect on mathematical understanding ability; and 3) there is no interaction between the learning model group and the cognitive style group on the ability to understand mathematical concepts.</em></p>

The incredible boong gi: Educational game RPG for mathematical understanding ability

Some of the android-based mobile game genres that are currently very popular such as adventure, first-person shooter, fighting, racing, and others. This development should provide opportunities in the field of education to make games not only for fun but also for education. The purpose of this study was to produce educational games that were valid, practical, and had potential effects to improve the mathematical understanding of the relationship and function of junior high school students. The research method used is RD (research development) using the ADDIE model. The data collection techniques used were documentation, interviews, and tests of mathematical comprehension abilities. The results obtained from the game "The Incredible Boong Gi" are valid with an average of 96.70% of expert validators and media validators. The results of the practicality questionnaire from 9 students averaged 90.32%. The results of data analysis show that educational RPG games have valid, practical criteria and have potential effects. RPG games are valid in terms of relevance, systematics, student-centered compatibility, game design, and compatibility. RPG games get practical results from implementation in small groups. Furthermore, the educational RPG prototype has the potential effect of improving students' mathematical understanding abilities. RPG games provide a fun learning atmosphere, by playing students can also learn. Making RPG games is also not difficult, according to the competence of students to be achieved and challenges the creativity of the teacher.

ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS V PADA MATERI KUBUS DAN BALOK

The research, which was conducted at MI Attaqwa 28 Bekasi City, aimed to describe the level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts on Cube and Block material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with the sampling technique used is purpose sampling. The subjects in this study were 32 students. Based on the results of research and data analysis that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class V students on cube and block material is classified as a concept understanding percentage of 76%, and the average error made by students reaches 24%, which is low as much as 20 Subjects get a score of 75 representing the category high ability to understand mathematical concepts High ability students are able to master all indicators. A total of 12 subjects scored <75 representing the category of low mathematical concept understanding ability, unable to master all indicators, students were unable to explain systematic concepts and were unable to determine the steps in mathematical concepts

Peningkatan Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa dengan Model Think Pair Share dan Problem Based Learning

The ability to understand mathematical concepts is still low. Efforts are needed to overcome these problems, including using the Think Pair Share and Problem Based Learning learning models. The research was conducted to determine the improvement and quality of the improvement in students' mathematical understanding abilities with the two learning models. The research method is quasi-experimental with a population of all seventh-grade students of one of the public junior high schools in Garut. Samples were chosen randomly, namely class VII-G as experimental class I and class VII-H as experimental class II. The instrument is a description test. The results showed that the improvement and quality of the improvement in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who received the Think Pair Share learning model was better than Problem Based Learning. Think Pair Share learning model is more recommended to be applied in improving the ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Perbandingan Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis Siswa melalui Mood-Understand-Recall-Digest-Expand-Review dan Discovery Learning

Students’ mathematical understanding is still low, so it is needed model learning that helps students to be active and creative in learning; including the Mood–Understand-Recall-Digest-Expand-Review (MURDER) learning model with the Discovery Learning learning model. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability and increase of mathematical understanding of students who get the MURDER learning model and those who get the Discovery Learning learning model. This research is a quasi-experimental study in Cisurupan State Middle 1 class VII with a sample of two classes, namely class VII F as an experimental class using MURDER and VII G classes using the model Discovery Learning, as well as the material taught about rectangular flat builds. Data analysis was performed with normality tests and non parametric statistics. Based on the results of the analysis, the ability of students' mathematical understanding between those who get the learning model MURDER is better than students who get the Discovery Learning learning model. Increasing students' mathematical understanding of the MURDER learning model with the Discovery Learning model, which is high - medium.

Analisis Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis Dengan Memanfaatkan Aplikasi Microsoft Teaams di Masa Pandemi Covid-19

This study aimed to analyze and describe the seventh-grade junior high school students’ mathematical understanding ability on comparison material using Microsoft Teams application during the covid-19 pandemic. This study employed a qualitative descriptive. The sampling technique used was the purposive random sampling technique. Subjects of this research were 35 students of class VII F SMP Negeri 1 Cilegon. The results show that student’s mathematical understanding using Microsoft Teams application during the covid-19 pandemic ability is 68% at high level category and 32% at low level category. Microsoft Teams is highly recommended for online learning in time of this pandemic.

Analisis pembelajaran daring pada materi dinamika partikel ditinjau dari komunikasi matematis

This study aims to analyze the achievement of each indicator that measures students' mathematical understanding abilities in basic physics courses on particle dynamics material. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that seeks to describe the analysis of students' mathematical understanding abilities. The research subjects were 6 class 3 semester students of biology education consisting of 198 students. The data collection method used includes tests of students' mathematical understanding abilities in basic physics courses which include particle dynamics material. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the level of ability of biology education students in basic physics courses was as follows: (1) Students already had the ability to solve problems was good enough on particle dynamics material from questions 1 to 5 had an average percentage of 56.2% , (2) Students have reasoning abilities (reasoning on particle dynamics material from questions 1 to 5 have an average percentage of 14.4%, (3) Students have communication skills (communication) on particle dynamics material from questions 1 to 5 have The average percentage is 12.2%, (4) students have the ability to make connections to the dynamic material of particles from questions 1 to 5, have an average percentage of 12.4%; (5) students have representation ability ) on the particle dynamics material from questions 1 to 5 has an average percentage of 4.8%.

Towards the Application of Inquiry Learning Approach in Classroom: Students Exploration of Changes in Understanding Meaningful Mathematical Concepts

This study was intended to investigate the influence of inquiry learning approach assisted with square word media toward students’ mathematical understanding ability in learning mathematics. This study was conducted through quantitative research procedures namely quasi-experimental design. The populations were all students of class X at MAS Syamsuddhuha. The samples were 25 students of class X MIA 1 and 25 students of class X MIA 2, selected by purposive sampling. The nonequivalent posttest-only control group design was used. The data were obtained from the post-test results of the students’ mathematical understanding; they were analyzed by using SPSS 18 software. Since the data was not normal, the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test was applied. The findings of this study showed that the significant value of the test was 0,000 and it was less than 0.05 allowed the H0 rejected. It can be concluded that there was an influence of inquiry learning approach assisted by word square media on students' mathematical understanding ability, which was done in the study of trigonometry II for class X at MAS Syamsuddhuha. Hence, mathematical understanding ability is a crucial aspect in solving mathematical problems which can be measured by applying inquiry learning approach in classroom.

Project Based Learning, Problem Based Learning Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis

This study aims to differences in mathematical understanding ability and motivation between students who use the Project Based Learning methode and students who use the Problem Based Learning methode in terms of gender (male and female), in. The method used in this research is the Comparative Causal method with convergent Mixed Method (qualitative and quantitative) data analysis techniques. The population is all eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Banjaran Majalengka, samples of class VIII A and VIII B. The instruments used are tests of comprehension, motivation, interview and observation sheets. The results showed that there were no differences in the ability of mathematical understanding and motivation between students using the Project Based Learning metoda and students using the Problem Based Learning metoda in terms of gender (male and female). Other results also show no relationship between motivation and mathematical understanding abilities. Student motivation both in PBL and PjBL classes has increased, because both methodes are methodes that determine active students and with problems at the beginning of student learning become even more enthusiastic in learning mathematics

Description of students’ mathematical concept understanding ability, in terms of initial mathematical ability

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of students’ ability to understand mathematical concepts in the basic introductory course of mathematics in terms of their initial mathematical abilities. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects in this study were students of the Mathematics Education Study Program who took an Introduction to Basic Mathematics at Indraprasta University PGRI Jakarta. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, while the instruments used were documents (test results of students’ initial mathematical abilities and understanding of mathematical concepts), observation sheets, interview guides, and researchers. The research data were collected using triangulation techniques. The results of this study were that the students’ initial mathematical abilities were good enough, but the indicators of student functional understanding were still a little difficult.

The enhancement of student’s mathematical understanding ability through the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model

Some teachers pay little attention to the difference in students’ abilities in conducting the learning. Fast-learners feel bored when learning because there is a tendency to repeat the lesson, while slow learners will feel left out because learning tends to be dominated by intelligent students. Therefore, the teachers must accommodate students with different abilities, using a learning model that treats students according to their abilities. The Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model is a solution to assist teachers in helping students master the material taught according to the student’s ability level. This study aims to determine the differences in the increase in the mathematical comprehension of students who take learning using the ATI model and those who take conventional learning. This study involved 51 Year 7 students from one private Islamic Junior High School in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, namely: 25 students in the experimental class and 26 students in the control class. The instrument used was a test of the students’ mathematical understanding ability. Students’ mathematical understanding ability was analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that students’ mathematical understanding ability who took learning using the ATI model was better than those who took conventional learning.

The analysis of students’ mathematical understanding ability in solving two-variables linear equation Ssystem during the Covid-19 pandemic

This research aims to determine the mathematical understanding ability of junior high school students about the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Subjects in analyzing the mathematical understanding ability of junior high school students were grade IX students. The research was conducted at the beginning of the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year in Bandung. The instrument in this study was a written test consisting of 4 essay questions that were given online via a google form. Each question represents indicators to be measured. The indicators measured are defining a concept, indicator of identifying and making example and non-example, indicator of using, utilizing, and choosing appropriate procedure and indicator of applying concept or algorithm toward problem-solving. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the level of students’ mathematical understanding ability for each indicator could be achieved well. However, especially for an indicator of applying concept or algorithm toward problem-solving, students have not been able to interpret the problem.

Mathematical Understanding Ability And Self Regulated Learning Of Elementary School Students Using Snowball Throwing Approach

This research was motivated by the problem of the low abilities of elementary students to understand mathematical understanding and self-regulated learning (SRL). The purpose of this study was to examine the mathematical understanding ability and SRL of elementary school students who received learning using the Snowball Throwing approach. The research method is a quasi-experimental with the population of all students in private elementary schools in Karawang district. The sample subjects were two classes of fourth grade elementary school students in Karawang, totaling 44 students. The first class with 22 students receive the snowball throwing learning approach and the other 22 students receive regular learning. The instrument used in this research were a test of the mathematical understanding ability on the flat shape material, that consist of 5 essay questions and a self-regulated learning scale that consist of 30 statements. The results showed that the enhancement in the mathematical understanding ability of elementary school students who received learning with the snowball throwing approach was better than the reguler learning, while for Self-Regulated Learning students who received learning using the snowball throwing approach there was no significant difference with students who received regular learning. In addition, there is no correlation between mathematical understanding abilities and students' self-regulated learning.

The Use of Generative Learning Model in Improving Students’ Understanding of Mathematical Concepts of Al-Azhar 19 Islamic High School

Background. Distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the landscape of mathematics learning as a whole. One of the mathematics learning models that offer new concepts in distance learning is generative learning model. The Aim of the Research. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of generative learning models in improving students' mathematical understanding abilities. The appropriate research method to test the effectiveness is quasi-experimental design because the class being experimented with is not changed, so that it does not have much effect on overall learning stability. The research sample used cluster random sampling technique where class X MIPA 3 was the experimental class while class X MIPA 2 was the control class. The research instrument used was a test of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in the material of Logarithmic Equations as many as seven essay questions. Conclusion. There is an effect (high) of the generative learning model on the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts applied to the distance learning system at Al-Azhar 19 Ciracas Islamic Senior High School logarithmic equation material with a significance level of α = 0.05. Contribution. This study offers a new concept for the application of distance learning mathematics by implementing a generative learning model which in this study has contributed positively to student understanding

Increased mathematical relational understanding ability and self regulated learning of high school students through Edmodo online learning

This study aims to analyze and improve the relational mathematical learning abilities and independent learning of students who obtain Edmodo and Google Classroom learning which is reviewed with mathematical initial ability. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design. The research sample is students of class X MIPA 1 and 2. Data collection techniques with purposive sampling technique. The instrument used consisted of tests and questionnaires. The results showed that 1) Overall, the achievement and improvement of the mathematical relational understanding ability (KPRM) of students who obtained the Edmodo learning were no higher than students who received Google Classroom learning, 2) a. Viewed from the high KAM category, accepted and improved, the KPRM of students who received the Edmodo learning was no higher than students who obtained Google Classroom learning, b. Judging from the moderate KAM category, the achievement and improvement of the KPRM of the students who received the Edmodo learning were not significantly higher than students who obtained Google Classroom learning, 3) Overall, independent learning achievement arranged by students who learned Edmodo learning was not significantly higher for students who received Google Classroom learning, and 4) A significant relationship is obtained between KPRM and students’ SRL in Edmodo learning.

Pemantapan Materi Matematika Bagi Guru Matematika SMP/MTs Se-Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Provinsi Riau

This service activity aims to (1) improve the ability of teachers about mathematical material that contains ability of mathematical understanding, mathematical problem solving, or mathematical connections; (2) Providing knowledge to teachers about strategies of mathematical problem solving; and (3) drill teachers to solve mathematical problems that contain ability of mathematical understanding, mathematical problem solving, or mathematical connections. Activities carried out with a pattern of 40 hours @ 45 minutes, consisting of 18 hours face to face (first day and last day), and 22 hours of independent activity (2 weeks). In the independent activities the teacher is given the task of working on the questions at home and discussed again at the second meeting. The results of the analysis of the initial test answers obtained an average of 49.58 with the highest value of 90 and the lowest value of 15. Strengthening the material at the time of the training was more emphasized on materials not yet mastered by the teacher. After the training, the average teacher mastery increased at the final test to 75.56. It can be concluded that this community service activity can empower the community in Kampar Kiri sub-district especially the mastery of mathematics teachers in solving mathematical problems.

HUBUNGAN LEMBAR KERJA PESERTA DIDIK BERBASIS CAT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN MATEMATIS SISWA

To find out the development, effectiveness, relationship, response, enhancing the ability of mathematical understanding with the development of learner-based worksheets CAT six graders Methodist-12 field in the material integer arithmetic operations. This research is included in research and development (Research and Development). As that R&D is a research method used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. This method is used with the aim of developing CAT-based student worksheets for grade VI SD Methodist-12 Medan on integer arithmetic operations. The study found, namely (1) CAT-based Student Worksheets are feasible to be developed and good to be applied in learning, (2) CAT-based Student Worksheets have a positive and significant relationship with students' mathematical understanding abilities, (3) CAT-based Student Worksheets have a positive effect on students' mathematical understanding abilities. Teachers can create and present the teaching materials with exciting creativity, media with an attractive creativity, practice questions that are presented in accordance with the material, enhancing the creativity of teachers in designing learning media.

The Influence of Contextual Approach on the Mathematical Understanding and Communication Abilities as Seen from Students' Initial Mathematical Abilities

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of a contextual approach on students' mathematical understanding and communication abilities in terms of their initial mathematical ability (KAM) in the Pythagorean Theorem class VIII material. This research was conducted at MTs Al Ihsan Serang City in the academic year 2019-2020 even semester. Methods The research method used is a quasi-experimental, data collection techniques, namely the ability to test mathematical understanding and communication, hypothesis testing using a two-way manova with a significance level of 5%. Before testing the hypothesis, the analysis prerequisite test was carried out, namely the multivariate normality and homogeneity test, the test results were the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. From the results of the analysis test using MANOVA, it can be concluded that: there are differences in the mathematical understanding and communication abilities of students who get a contextual approach with students who get a scientific approach, there are differences in the mathematical understanding and communication abilities of students who get a contextual approach with students who get a scientific approach between high KAM and low, and there is no interaction between learning approaches and KAM on students' mathematical understanding and communication skills

Development of CAT-based student worksheets to improve basic students 'mathematical understanding abilities

Basically, the ability of Mathematical Comprehension is an ability that can be trained for every student. Students Worksheet is a learning aid in the learning process. One of them is CAT (Computer Assisted Test)-based Students Worksheet. CAT is a learning medium that is designed to be used to develop interactive Students Worksheet related to integer arithmetic operations. This research method is the method of Research and Development. The subject of this research is class VI Methodist-12 Private SD Medan Academic Year 2019/2020. The variables to be measured are proof of important analytical and experimental functions and / or characteristics which includes the accuracy of CAT-based Students Worksheet design, comprehension ability. student mathematics and the effectiveness and efficiency of use.
