Implementing Project Based Learning in Mathematics Learning Media Course

In order to describe the implementation of PjBL in the Mathematics Learning Media course as a learning assessment material, a classroom action research (PTK) was conducted. The research subjects were 3rd semester students of Mathematics Education at Alkhairaat University Palu in the academic year 2023/2024. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, which were then analysed using the Miles & Huberman model. In addition, data triangulation was also carried out to obtain valid and credible data. The results of this study resulted in 7 (seven) evaluation materials, namely the effectiveness of PjBL, challenges of PjBL implementation, students' reactions, students' skills, students' creativity, use of learning media and recommendations for improvement. With these findings, it is hoped that it can be our concern so that we can correct deficiencies and improve the learning process.

Sikuadrat: Mathematics learning media with the Merdeka flow in solving quadratic equations and functions

The use of smartphones in education, particularly in mathematics learning for high school students, is becoming more prevalent as most students are familiar with Android-based devices. However, despite widespread access to smartphones, not all students utilize them as learning tools, and there remains a lack of engaging and interactive learning media tailored for this platform. This study aimed to develop and assess the effectiveness of "Sikuadrat," a mobile-based learning media focused on quadratic functions and equations. The media employs the MERDEKA instructional flow, designed to facilitate student engagement and understanding in solving quadratic equations. The development process followed the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. Data collection involved observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, conducted with high school students and mathematics teachers at SMA 1 Klaten, Indonesia. The media's practicality and effectiveness were evaluated based on feedback from the participants. Results show that Sikuadrat is a highly valid and practical tool for enhancing the learning experience in mathematics, particularly for topics related to quadratic functions and equations. The media not only supports interactive problem-solving but also aligns with the instructional goals of mathematics education in high schools. In conclusion, Sikuadrat offers a valuable solution for integrating technology into mathematics learning and is suitable for implementation in high school curricula to support students’ mastery of quadratic functions and equations, making it an effective and accessible learning tool for smartphone users

Development Of Mathematics Learning Media Smart Snakes and Ladder Statistics (UTAPTIK) In Primary School Statistics Materials

Learning media is an important element in the learning process, functioning as a valuable instrument for transmitting knowledge. The learning media used in education must be appropriate to the needs and characteristics of students. In class 6 at SDN Pasirangin 05 the majority of students are actively involved in the learning process. Therefore, it is very appropriate to utilize learning media that fosters innovation, fun, and increases students' understanding of the subject matter. The objectives of this research are: (1) Designing and constructing UTAPTIK learning teaching materials. (2) What is the level of validity of the UTAPTIK media used in learning mathematical statistics concepts? (3) Knowing students' responses to UTAPTIK game media. Researchers used Research and Development methodology to conduct research. This research methodology uses the ADDIE development paradigm, namely the Analyze, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluate stages. This research uses data collection methodology such as filling out questionnaires, making observations, and documenting findings. This research resulted in the development of UTAPTIK learning media which consists of several components such as a game arena, dice, game guide book, and statistics cards. The results of this research are UTAPTIK products with product validation results showing very valid criteria determined by a score of 97% from material expert validators. In addition, the criteria were considered valid with a score of 76% from media expert validators. The validation results by material expert validators and media expert validators are classified as very valid so that the media can be tested. The student questionnaire obtained a score of 94% in the very valid category. The smart statistical snakes and ladders game media (UTAPTIK) is classified as very valid and worthy of being integrated into the learning process of class VI students.

Factors shaping Indonesian preservice math teachers’ digital media adoption in online mathematics teaching practice: An instrument development and validation study

Numerous studies have examined the development of instruments to identify factors influencing preservice teachers' integration of technology in teaching practices. However, limited research has been dedicated to designing instruments specifically tailored to assess mathematics preservice teachers' integration of Digital Mathematics Learning Media (DMLM) during online teaching practice. This gap is particularly pertinent in the Indonesian context, where assessing future teachers' competencies is crucial. Addressing this gap, the present study endeavors to develop and validate an instrument to identify the factors influencing Indonesian Preservice Mathematics Teachers' (PSMTs) integration of DMLM in online teaching practice. The instrument's theoretical foundation is derived from the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, with an emphasis on the Math-TPACK domain, and the Theory of Planned Behavior, focusing on beliefs related to DMLM and online learning. The research employed the ADDIE model for instrument development, combined with Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), involving a sample of 303 Indonesian preservice mathematics teachers. The study resulted in the development of a questionnaire comprising 59 indicators across four domains: Math-TPACK, Beliefs on Online Learning, Beliefs on DMLM, and the Use of DMLM. This instrument provides a robust tool for policymakers and educators to identify critical factors affecting PSMTs' effectiveness in online mathematics teaching. Additionally, it offers insights for designing targeted interventions to enhance the quality of online teaching practices.

Development of Mathematics Learning Media using Geogebra-Assisted Scientific Approach to Improve Students' Creative Thinking Skills Learning Skills and Independence

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektivan media pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan geogebra dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Model pengembangan penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP Swasta di Medan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan geogebra mendapat rata-rata skor 4,79 pada kategori valid. Kepraktisan media pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan geogebra dinilai dari rata-rata skor keterlakaanaan pembelajaran diperoleh sebesar 88,33% dengan kategori baik, dan respon positif siswa memperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 88,38% dengan kategori sangat positif sehingga media yang dikembangkan dapat dikatakan praktis. Sedangkan keefektifan media pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan santifik berbantuan geogebra dinilai dari rata-rata skor ketuntasan secara klasikal siswa sebesar 90,63% dengan kategori sangat tinggi, ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 86,81%, dan respon siswa diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 88,33% sehingga media yang dikembangkan dapat dikatakan efektif. Skor peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa mendapat nilai N-gain sebesar 0,37 pada kategori sedang, dan skor peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa mendapat nilai N-gain sebesar 0,35 pada kategori sedang, sehingga dapat dikatakan media yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar siswa

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Aplikasi Android Menggunakan Power Point dan iSpring pada Materi Himpunan untuk Siswa Kelas VII SMP Swasta Swadaya Tarus

The number of smartphone users is increasing across various demographics, including students. With the presence of smartphones among students, it should be able to assist learners in enhancing their interest and understanding of mathematics effectively, anytime and anywhere. Therefore, this research aims to develop a mathematics learning media based on an Android application using PowerPoint and iSpring for set theory material for Grade VII students at Swadaya Tarus Private Junior High School that is valid, practical, and effective. The method employed in this research is research and development using the ADDIE development model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data for this research were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results of this research show that the set theory class application meets the criteria for valid, practical, and effective learning media for set theory material. The average total validity score from three validators is 4.34, indicating that the Android-based mathematics learning media falls into the valid category. The average practicality score from the large class teacher is 4.38, and the responses from the small-scale trial students were 4.6, while the responses from the large-scale trial students were 4.67, placing the Android-based mathematics learning media in the practical category. Additionally, the pass rate for small-scale trial students was 80%, and the pass rate for the large-scale trial students was 70%, indicating that the developed Android-based mathematics learning media falls into the effective category.

Design of Mathematics Learning Media Using Genially Combined Quizwhizzer Platfrom for Class X Senior High School Students

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness, practicality, and validity of learning media in improving student academic achievement. The method applied is R&D (Research and Development) by adopting the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research findings indicate that the Genially platform- based math learning media combined with Quizwhizzer is declared Valid, based on the assessment of material experts and media experts. Practicality test shows good results, seen from student observation sheets and teacher observation sheets. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the media in improving math learning outcomes is said to increase. In conclusion, the development of mathematics learning media using a combination of the Genially platform and Quizwhizzer proved to be very effective in improving students' understanding of quadratic equation material.

Development of Game-Based Mathematics Learning Media to Improve Mathematical Understanding Abilities

This research aims to develop mathematics learning media in the form of games. Apart from that, this research aims to determine the feasibility and find out whether the learning media being developed is appropriate and can improve students' understanding abilities in mathematics subjects. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research subjects were class VII students at YP Sunan Dalem Gumeno Middle School. The research instruments used in this research were (1) Interview Guide (2) Validation Sheet (3) Student Response Questionnaire (4) Mathematical Understanding Ability Test Questions. The mathematics learning media in the form of games developed is expected to improve students' mathematical understanding abilities. The validation results from media experts and material experts respectively obtained an average of 4.4 and 4.2 with valid criteria. The validation results of the mathematical understanding ability test obtained an average score of 4.2 with valid criteria. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained an average practicality of 4.2 with practical criteria. The results of the mathematical understanding ability test were carried out using a t-test using the SPSS program and the results showed that the significant value was 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that students' mathematical understanding ability after using game learning media was better before using the game learning media, so it can be concluded that the learning media Games can improve students' mathematical understanding abilities and can be said to be effective. The results of this research show that learning media is said to be valid, practical, and effective. In other words, game-based mathematics learning media can improve students' mathematical understanding abilities.

Need Analysis of Using Button Seed Boards Based on Performance Assessment as Mathematics Learning Media for Elementary Schools in Kudus District

This research investigates the significance of utilizing button board media in mathematics education, particularly for teaching addition of whole numbers. The study adopts a qualitative approach and involves first-grade students from two different elementary schools within a sub-district of Kudus City, with 25 students from SD 2 Demaan and 23 students from SD 2 Mlatinorowito, along with their two homeroom teachers. Data were collected through non-test methods, specifically interviews. The findings indicate that button board media, when used as a mathematics learning tool, is essential for enhancing students' understanding of place value and facilitating the addition of integers. The use of this media was shown to significantly improve learning outcomes, as students were better able to engage with the material and perform addition tasks more effectively. The study concludes that performance assessment-based button board media is crucial in increasing student engagement, preventing boredom, and improving comprehension of mathematical concepts.

This research aims to determine the feasibility, practicality and effectiveness of using the Canva Application as a Mathematics Learning Media for Class VII Flat Building Material at SMP Negeri 1 Citeureup.This research adopts the ADDIE model stages (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate). The analyze stage includes initial analysis, student analysis, concept analysis and formulating learning objectives. The design stage includes preparing learning media in the form of selecting appropriate media and designing learning content. The development stage includes the development of data collection instruments. The data collection instrument in this research was interviews with the teachers concerned. The implementation stage includes implementing the use of the Canva application. The evaluation stage includes the form of evaluation carried out at each ADDIE stage. The data analysis technique used is the validity coefficient by Aiken's V. The research results show that the learning media that has been developed is in the very good category and can be used in the learning process.

Comparison Effectiveness of Concrete and Digital Mathematics Learning Media: Systematic Literature Review on Industrial Revolution 4.0 Era

Industrial Revolution 4. 0. Technological developments affect all aspects of human life, as well as education. Therefore, innovation is needed to achieve learning objectives. The goal is to produce a competitive workforce equipped with skills known as the 4Cs (communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation). Reforms in the field of mathematics education to achieve the intended expectations include the use of tangible digital educational media. Researchers conducted research using systematic literature review methods to find out the latest facts about concrete and digital mathematics learning media in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4. 0. We interpret a total of 30 articles from various databases and make an overview of the use, advantages and disadvantages of digital and real mathematics educational media in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4. 0. The benefits of real educational media include improving students' problem-solving, creative and thinking skills, and visual reasoning. The advantages of digital learning media include efficiency and efficiency when learning mathematics, allowing for face-to-face (distance) learning, and eliminating the need for certain treatments. The shortcomings of concrete learning media require more consideration so that it takes a long time.

Improving Mathematical Understanding Through the Use of Wordwall Media in Elementary Schools

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using WordWall media in improving the understanding of mathematical concepts at the elementary school level. The research method involves a literature review that includes a critical evaluation of literature related to mathematical concepts and WordWall media. Data analysis was conducted thematically with a qualitative synthesis approach, resulting in four main themes and twelve sub-themes. The study's findings indicate a positive impact of using WordWall on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The average learning outcome scores increased significantly, and there was an improvement in students' mastery of learning through WordWall Gameshow. This medium also proved effective in enhancing students' learning motivation, creating an interactive learning environment, and boosting active participation and collaborative skills among students. WordWall was found to be more effective compared to some other learning media, contributing positively to learning outcomes and student motivation. WordWall also helps overcome students' difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts by providing visual representations and vocabulary support. Thus, WordWall is considered an effective learning tool for improving the understanding of mathematical concepts among elementary school students. The study's conclusion confirms that WordWall successfully achieved its objectives with high significance. However, the study has limitations such as sample size and relatively short research duration. Recommendations for future research include conducting comparative studies with other mathematical learning media, examining the influence of the social environment, developing more specific WordWall learning models, and exploring long-term effects and the correlation between student learning motivation and mathematical learning outcomes. Research on the effectiveness of WordWall in virtual mathematics learning environments is also an interesting area for further study.

Interest of 11th Grade Students in Mathematics Learning Media Assisted by Microsoft PowerPoint

Learning media has an important role in providing new variations in learning, especially in learning mathematics. The purpose of this research is to describe students' interest in learning using Microsoft PowerPoint on statistics in grade 11. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a sample of 24 students from SMK Migas Bumi Melayu, Riau, Indonesia. The research instrument used was a non-test instrument in the form of a learning interest questionnaire with 20 statements consisting of 5 aspects. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The final results show that the feeling of pleasure category is at 81.67%. For the category of interest in learning is at 81.46%. While in the category of attention to learning is at 79.79%. And for the category of involvement in learning is at 80.42%. Based on the results of the research that has been described per aspect, almost all categories of student learning interest in the questionnaire are classified as very good, so that learning media shows a positive response from students to student learning, with a percentage of 80.83% in the very good category.

Geogebra As A 21st Century Learning Tool: A Systematic Literature Review

Learning in the 21st century requires the use of media in learning which results in new desires and interests, increases motivation and stimulation in learning, and even has a psychological effect on students. Technology-based learning media can make learning more interesting, because the use of appropriate media can help convey material abstractly, so that students can more easily understand the material. The existence of technology in learning mathematics helps students in understanding mathematical concepts. One form of math learning media is GeoGebra. This study aims to analyze the distribution of education levels, materials, and 21st century skills that are most often used in the application of the GeoGebra application as a 21st Century Mathematics learning media. The research method used was systematic literature review. The research subjects were 33 journal articles obtained from the Scopus, Google Scholars, ScienceDirect, Springer, ResearchGate, OJS (Open Journal System), and Eric databases in the last 7 years. The results showed that the study of 21st century geogebra increased in 2020 and the peak occurred in 2022 with the research method used dominated by quasi-experiments. In addition, the junior high school education level, geometry transformation material and analytic geometry of the field, as well as creative thinking skills become the most dominating and widely conducted research.

Introduction of Mathematics Learning Media at the Elementary School in SD Inpres Teamate, Pallantikang Village, Pattallassang District, Gowa Regency

Mathematics is one of the core subjects in elementary school and plays a significant role in the development of students' logical and analytical thinking abilities. Therefore, the need to be given guidance on the introduction of learning media in mathematics education at the elementary school level. This activity aims to introduce and integrate IT-based learning media into mathematics education at Teamate Inpres Elementary School in Pallantikang Village, Pattallassang District, Gowa Regency. The implementation method of the activity includes the development of materials, teacher training, and student mentoring using the Khan Academy and To DO Math platforms. The findings indicate positive involvement, with 90% student participation in the activity. Evaluation of the activity results reveals a significant improvement in the understanding of mathematical concepts, with 80% of students showing increased speed and accuracy in their responses. The benefits obtained include an increase in student interest in learning, improvement of teacher skills in managing IT-based learning, and enhanced collaboration between the school and the community. The conclusion of this activity emphasizes the role of IT-based learning media strategies in improving the quality of elementary-level mathematics education and strengthening community involvement in supporting educational innovation.

Organology Analysis of Dol Musical Instruments as a Mathematics Learning Media Based on the Local Wisdom of Bengkulu in Elementary School

The research was held back by the unique background of the Dol instrument as ritual music at the ceremony of the Tabut and the identity of the Bengkulu traditional music. The purpose of the study is to describe the organology of the Dol instrument and its method of production and describe the design of the implementation of musical instruments on mathematics learning materials in elementary schools in both physical and sociocultural detail. The theory used is ethnomusicology and mathematics learning media. The method used is case analysis, which requires a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach to the organology of the Dol musical instrument and learning media. The data sources used are their sources and a validator with observation techniques interview techniques, and documentation techniques. The validity of data uses their types of triangulation (technique, source, and time). The result of this research was either a text box or a materials module. The result of the Dol instrument’s organological analysis as a media learning mathematics based on local cultural wisdom at the elementary school is expected to assist every teacher in educating students in understanding the preservation of local culture and implanting the local area’s cultural arts character. Besides, the results of this study will contribute to the literacy and media sources of common education and general education. Developing Android-Based Mathematics Learning Media for Package C Equivalence Education at the Faradika Community Learning Center in East Jakarta

The rapid development of Science and Technology has greatly influenced various aspects of the nation's life, including the field of Education. Relevant to the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution era, this research focuses on the utilization of mathematics learning applications in the Package C equivalent education based on Android at the Faradika Community Learning Center (PKBM) in East Jakarta. The advent of virtual reality technology has been able to create simulated classroom environments and conduct virtual learning based on Android. The aim of this research is to describe the process of Android-based virtual reality as a means of developing mathematics learning in the Package C Program. The research method is qualitative. Data collection techniques include interviews, reflective journals, observations, and document analysis. The output of this research is the model application and publication of articles in reputable national and international journals. The results of the research show the creation of Android-based equivalent education learning media in mathematics, which contains information about learning objectives, material presentation, assignments, and feedback provided by tutors and media developed with an Android basis that has been able to support the mathematics learning process optimally. The development of Android-based media consists of five stages: analysis, development, design, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation technique is formative with expert review and field testing. Summative evaluation includes pre-experiment one-group pre-test and post-test. The conclusion of the research is that the results of the media development are able to support the learning process optimally, so that the learning process runs smoothly, and learners are also active, enthusiastic, and passionate about participating in the learning process.
