Sosialisasi Pemanfaatan Chatgpt Sebagai Pendukung Alat Pembelajaran Bagi Guru SMP PGRI 8 Sidoarjo

In the ever-evolving digital era, education faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Technology is now an integrated part of the learning process, providing various tools that can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of education. One technological innovation that has great potential to support educators is ChatGPT. This ability can be utilized by teachers for various purposes, including in making learning tools. With the help of ChatGPT, teachers can save time and energy in designing teaching materials, assignments and learning evaluations that suit students' needs (Kharis et al., 2024). The teachers at SMP PGRI 8 Sidoarjo have not made much use of technology that makes it easier for them to prepare learning tools. This can be seen from the results of initial observations which show that 71.4% of teachers have never used applications or technology that makes it easier to create learning tools. This Community Service implementation was carried out with the aim of introducing, socializing and assisting teachers in utilizing ChatGPT to develop learning tools more quickly, effectively and efficiently. The results of participant responses regarding the implementation of activities are measured by participant satisfaction, which is the average of participant satisfaction with the satisfaction indicator factors. In this activity, 84.46% of participants gave an average rating of very good to the statement items in the questionnaire, which can be interpreted as meaning that 84.46% of participants were very satisfied.

Analysis of digital capital for social inclusion in educational context

AbstractThis paper focuses on one of the aspects most investigated and monitored in recent years by the Digital Economy and Society Index on the digitisation process in Europe—human capital, with an in‐depth focus on primary school teachers. Human capital is one dimension underlying school digital capital, closely related to integrating digital into daily practices. Starting from this framework, the paper will present the results of a survey on the digital competencies of teachers from five European countries (Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Romania and Poland), carried out in the framework of the European project Erasmus+ CAVE (Communication and Visual Education in homeschooling). This survey is preparatory to a training intervention and didactic experimentation on digital education, foreseen in the project, and used as a theoretical framework of reference for the DigCompEdu survey, promoted by the European Commission. The teachers' profiles, as the output of the research, will be able to give stakeholders a picture of the investment of schools and teachers, in terms of the application of digital competencies on different educational processes: classroom teaching, assessment, professional training, preparation of teaching materials for the lesson and the implementation of competencies, including digital ones, of students.

Efektivitas Media Pembelajaran E-Modul pada Mata Pelajaran Teknik Pemesinan Bubut di SMKS Dhuafa Padang

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the use of e-module learning media on student learning outcomes in the subject of Lathe Machining Engineering class XI at SMKS Dhuafa Padang. The background of this research is the limited teaching materials and short learning time, which requires students to learn independently. The research method used is quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 35 students of class XI Machining Engineering who were divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed using independent t-test. The results showed that: (1) the average pretest score of the experimental group was 54.77 and the control group was 61.67; (2) the average posttest score of the experimental group was 81.47 and the control group was 71.67; (3) there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental and control groups (t = 0.549, p < 0.05). In conclusion, the use of e-modules is effective in improving student learning outcomes in Lathe Machining Engineering subjects. This study recommends the use of e-modules as an alternative learning media to improve student independence and learning outcomes.

Cultural Persons’ Representations in High School English Language Teaching Materials in Indonesia

Integrating both local and target cultures in English Language Teaching Materials and emphasizes the need for balance to promote cultural diversity and understanding become an important thing in today’s era. During teaching practice activities at SMAN 17 Tebo, the researcher found that the cultural materials in the English Teaching Materials used are not balanced between the source culture, target culture, and international culture. This has an impact on cross-cultural understanding and less than optimal cultural awareness among students. The purpose of this research is to explore the representation of cultural persons in government textbook and teacher-made modules. This research uses qualitative content analysis as a research design. This research involved a sample of government-approved English language textbooks entitled “Bahasa Inggris Work in Progress” and a teacher-made module at SMAN 11 Tebo. The results show that from the theme of great athletes in chapter one of the Bahasa Inggris Work In Progress textbook and teacher-made module, it can be seen that the dominant sports branch comes from international culture. While the cultural persons represented as athletes are dominated by the source culture. It is recommended that future development of English language teaching (ELT) materials, both in government textbooks like Bahasa Inggris Work in Progress and teacher-made modules, should strive for a more balanced representation of source culture, target culture, and international culture for fostering intercultural competence among Indonesian students.

Design of Contextual-Collaborative Assure-Based Learning Program Development in Improving Reading Skills and Bilingual Communication Skills of Early Childhood Children

This article aims to describe the design for developing and evaluating the media for learning with a collaborative-contextual model in improving the reading skills and bilingual abilities of early childhood in the Sukorambi Islamic Kindergarten (TK), Jember Regency. This research uses a qualitative type with a descriptive exploratory approach—data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The data were then analyzed using the stages of domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and cultural theme analysis with the validity of the data, the credibility of the triangulation method and sources, and confirmability. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that the six stages in the design of contextual-collaborative assured-based learning program development in improving reading skills and bilingual communication skills are as follows: Analysis of early-age learners and as digital natives; determining learning objectives; choosing methods, media, and materials (including the use of the student center method, compiling the Outline of the Contents of the Podcast Media, Podcast Media Scripts, and Bilingual Learning Implementation Plans), Utilization of media, and teaching materials (including reviewing materials, preparing materials, learning environments, and learners and ensuring learner learning experiences), Learner involvement, and Evaluatievaluationision.

Pengembangan Desain Wizer.Me Sebagai E-LKPD pada Mata Pelajaran Matematika Materi Bilangan Bulat Kelas VII SMP

The development of E-LKPD in Grade VII Mathematics Subject of SMPN 5 Linggo Sari Baganti is motivated by a teacher-oriented learning pattern, as well as limitations in the use of digital teaching materials such as E-LKPD. This research aims to produce valid and practical E-LKPD products so that they can be used in the learning process. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). The development model used in this study is a 4D model. The 4D model consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The results of the development of E-LKPD were obtained through validity and practicality tests. The product validity test was validated by three validators consisting of one material validator, namely a teacher of Mathematics Class VII SMPN 5 Sari Baganti and two media validators, namely lecturers from the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology, Padang State University. The product practicality test was carried out by conducting an E-LKPD trial for grade VIIB students of SMPN 5 Linggo Sari Baganti. The results of the validity test by a material expert and two media experts obtained an average score of 4.86, 4.86, and 4.8 respectively which was categorized as "very valid". The results of the practicality test obtained an average score of 4.6 with the category "very practical". Thus, it can be concluded that the E-LKPD developed is suitable for use as a teaching material in Mathematics Class VII Junior High School.

Analysis of Mathematics Performance Trends in Certificate of Secondary Education Examination, Tanzania, from 2015–2022: A projection for eight years

Mathematics is essential to life as everyone uses mathematical concepts daily. Many countries have advanced in science and technology by investing in mathematics. This study aimed to determine the trend of students who sat for the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) in mathematics from 2015 to 2022; analyse performance trends in mathematics during this period, examine mathematics failure rate trends, and project pass rates in mathematics for the next eight years, from 2023 to 2030. This study employed a quantitative research approach and an ex-post facto research design. Participants were 4,459,009 students who sat for CSEE from 2015–2022. Analysis from the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 26.0 revealed a consistent rise in student enrollment, with 136,481 more students by 2022. The pass rate was low, as the maximum was 20.12%, while failure rates consistently exceeded 78%. The findings indicated further that the pass rates would remain low from 2023 to 2030. The study recommends reviewing secondary school mathematics curriculum, increasing teaching and learning materials, providing regular in-service training in innovative pedagogical practices and assessment, and hiring more mathematics teachers in secondary schools.

Importance of Parental Teaching in Shaping Children's Islamic Character

This study explores the importance of parent teaching practices in shaping Islamic morals in children within the context of a modern society facing moral and ethical challenges. Using a quantitative approach through surveys, data were collected from 100 parents with children aged 5-12 years. The survey instrument was used to identify parent teaching practices, parents' perceptions of their impact, and factors influencing their effectiveness. The survey was then analyzed using percentages to determine the percentage level of parents' opinions. The results indicate that parental involvement, the quality of teaching materials, and consistency in teaching play crucial roles in shaping children's character. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of increasing parental involvement, diversifying teaching methods, and maintaining consistency in Islamic religious education at home. By strengthening parent teaching practices, it is hoped that children will be better equipped to face moral and ethical challenges in modern society.

Development of Ebook Teaching Materials Based on the PBL Model Assisted by the Kvisoft Flibbook Maker Application in Class IV Elementary Schools

This research was conducted because of several findings in the field in the form of technological devices, facilities and infrastructure that are still not being utilized optimally by teachers in the learning process to support interesting and enjoyable learning. E-book teaching material based on the PBL model assisted by the kvisoft flipbook maker application in class IV elementary school which is valid, practical and effective as a solution to overcome the problems found in initial observations. This research activity uses a type of Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development model. At the analysis stage, observations and interviews were carried out with teachers and students at three schools, namely SDS IT Dar El Iman, SDIT Sabihisma 1, and SDIT Sabihisma 2, Padang city. At the design stage, a teaching material was designed based on the facts obtained. At the development stage, the teaching material that had been designed was validated to find out whether the product was valid for implementation expert validators (material, language and media) as well as one expert from the FGD teacher so that an overall average validation result of 89.33% was obtained with a very valid category. The results obtained after evaluating the practicality test of the teacher response questionnaire with an average score of 93.30% were in the very practical category and the student response questionnaire obtained an average score of 88.59% which was in the very practical category. In the effectiveness test, the learning outcomes obtained an average score of 91.16 with an N-Gain Score of 67.15%, including the quite effective category.

Quality of Discovery Learning-Based Chemistry Learning Tools Developed by Chemistry Teacher Candidates

Prospective chemistry teachers play an important role in implementing Discovery Learning through the learning tools they develop. It is important to evaluate the quality of discovery learning-based learning tools utilised by prospective chemistry teachers in order to provide constructive feedback and improve their competence. This study aims to describe the quality of learning tools in the form of teaching materials and Learner Worksheets that have been prepared by prospective chemistry teachers. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The population of this study were all students majoring in chemistry class of 2021. This study used purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study was prospective teacher students from the 2021 class B chemistry education study programme, totalling 23 people. Data collection techniques in the form of portfolio/document evaluation in the form of learning devices made by prospective chemistry teacher students. The learning tools collected by prospective teacher students are in the form of teaching materials and student worksheets based on Discovery learning. The learning devices that have been collected are then assessed using validated instruments and assessment rubrics and then scored to determine the ability category of prospective teacher students. The results showed that the quality of discovery learning-based teaching materials prepared by Chemistry teacher candidates in the construction component is categorized as Good, content/material is categorized as Very Good, learning assessment is categorized as Quite Good and discovery learning orientation is categorized as Good. The quality of discovery learning-based student worksheets prepared by prospective chemistry teachers in terms of the construction component is categorized as Very Good, learning activities are categorized as Very Good, learning assessment is categorized as Good and discovery learning orientation is categorized as Very Good.

The Development of LKPD Based on a Scientific Approach to Improve Students' Science Process Skills in Material on the Human Circulatory System and Digestive System Class XI SMA

The development of Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on a scientific approach to material on the human circulation system and digestive system is based on the teaching materials used at SMA Negeri 16 Padang in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD). The LKPD is not complete in terms of components or in terms of LKPD elements. The LKPD used only takes the form of sheets containing questions, and does not use an approach that contains activities or learning steps so that it cannot train students' science process skills. This research aims to produce LKPD based on a scientific approach to material on the human circulation system and digestive system that is valid, practical and effective to improve students' science process skills. This research is development research using the Plomp model which consists of three stages, namely preliminary research phase, development or prototyping phase and assessment phase. The results of the LKPD validity test by the validator obtained a value of 84.67% with very valid criteria. The results of the LKPD practicality test obtained a score of 90.74% by teachers and 88.30% by students with very practical criteria. The results of the T-test showed differences in values between the experimental and control classes with a significance of 0.000 each in the circulatory system and digestive system material. It can be concluded that LKPD based on a scientific approach is very valid, very practical and effective in improving science process skills.

The effect of using biography in social studies teaching on academic success

One significant challenge in Social Studies classes is students’ struggle to grasp abstract concepts appropriate to their age. To address this issue, abstract topics outlined in the curriculum must be translated into more tangible forms tailored to student's comprehension levels, which necessitates the utilization of diverse teaching materials. Any material aligned with course objectives facilitates student comprehension. Biographies are one of the materials employed in classes. This study aims to investigate the impact of incorporating biography into Social Studies class instruction on students' academic achievement. The research problem focuses on examining whether there is a significant difference in academic achievements between students in the experimental group, which is taught with biographies (the experimental group), and those instructed through a program-based approach in the control group. To address this research question, a pre-test-post-test control group experimental design was adopted, which involved forming two groups through impartial assignment. One of these groups is the experimental group, and the other is the control group. In the implementation of this research, a pre-test was administered to the experimental and control group students. Subsequently, during Social Studies instruction, the experimental group received lessons explained using the biography method, while the control group followed the standard program-based approach. Measurements were taken before and after the experiment in both groups. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS package program. The findings revealed that using the biography method in Social Studies instruction had a positive effect on students’ academic achievement.

A Comparative Analysis of Structured Pedagogy Interventions in South Africa and Their Impact on Student Performance in Mathematics and Science Subjects

Purpose: The aim of the study was to analyze the comparative analysis of structured pedagogy interventions in South Africa and their impact on student performance in mathematics and science subjects. Methodology: This study adopted a desk methodology. A desk study research design is commonly known as secondary data collection. This is basically collecting data from existing resources preferably because of its low cost advantage as compared to a field research. Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries. Findings: A comparative analysis of structured pedagogy interventions in South Africa reveals that these targeted educational approaches have positively impacted student performance in mathematics and science subjects. Studies show that interventions such as curriculum-aligned teaching materials, teacher training, and standardized assessments significantly improved students' understanding and achievement in these areas. Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Constructivist learning theory, bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives & sociocultural theory may be used to anchor future studies on the analyzing the comparative analysis of structured pedagogy interventions in South Africa and their impact on student performance in mathematics and science subjects. Schools should integrate structured lesson plans and data-driven instruction into everyday practice to enhance teacher efficacy and student performance. Policymakers should implement nationwide curriculum reforms that standardize content delivery across all schools, ensuring consistency in teaching quality, particularly in mathematics and science.

Validation of Physics Kit Based on Sensor and PjBL Model to Improve Students' Digital Literacy, Science Process Skills, and Learning Outcomes

The development of of physics kit based on sensor and PjBL model has been carried out to improve the digital literacy, science process skills, and learning outcomes of students. This development aims to describe the validation of physics kit teaching materials that are suitable for use in learning activities. The development model design used is 4D which consists of definition, design, development and dissemination stages. This research is limited to the development stage. Validation activities have been completed in the development process. The validity of of physics kit based on sensor and PjBL model was assessed by 3 competent experts who are competent at Mataram University. In addition to the validity of the physics kit, there are several learning tools that are assessed for validity to support the quality of the kit developed. Some of these learning tools include lesson plans, worlsheets, test instruments for digital literacy, science process skills, and learning outcomes. The validation results showed that the physics kit received an average score of 93.35%, the lesson plans 87.50%, the student worksheets 94.17%, the digital literacy instrument 87.54%, the science process skills instrument 92.59%, and the learning outcome instrument 88.63%. Based on these results, all components were categorized as "Very Valid". These findings indicate that the physics kit based on sensors and the PjBL model is highly valid and can be effectively used in science learning activities at school.

Ethno-STEAM Based E-Comic “Lilis Lamiang”, is it Necessary to Use it on Science Learning in Elementary Schools?

This research aims to analyze the response to the needs of ethno-STEAM based e-comic “lilis lamiang” for elementary school students. In this study we focus to analyze the teacher and student perception about the development of the local wisdom module, especially to increase learning outcome. The research method is descriptive and qualitative by used surveys to collect data. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 2 elementary school teacher and to 20 student 5th grade students, SDN 4 Menteng in Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this research showed that teachers have never developed their own teaching materials based on local potential in Central Kalimantan, while students are of the opinion that the use of teaching materials based on local potential will make learning activities more interesting. This research concluded that the development of etno-STEAM based e-comic especially about lilis lamiang very important thing to do based on teacher and student perception and important to continue in the next research to develop the module.

DEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE SCIENCE LEARNING E-MODULES BASED ON PROJECT BASED LEARNING TO IMPROVE SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS AT ISLAMIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Interactive Science Learning E-Module teaching materials are developed with science process skills. The interactive science learning e-module has the form of software that can be used with the help of a laptop, computer and cellphone. Interactive e-Modules are presented in PDF form, making them easier for educators and students to use, and can be used offline, but there are several menus such as quizzes, learning videos and evaluations that cannot be accessed if you are not connected to the internet. This research is Research and Development (R&D), by applying five ADDIE model stages (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate). Stage analyze includes analysis of educators and students. The design stage includes preparing the e-module outline in the form of selecting media and e-module formats as well as designing the learning content in the e-module. The development stage includes the development of data collection instruments. The data collection instruments in this research are eligibility sheets for validators and science learning practitioners, as well as pretest and posttest questions for science process skills. This instrument was developed based on review by supervisors, assessments by validator lecturers, science teacher learning practitioners, and trials on students. The implementation stage includes the application of the e-module that has been developed for class IV students at MI Tarbiyatussibyan Banyuwangi. The experimental design used at this stage is one group pretest-posttest. The evaluation stage includes the form of evaluation carried out at each ADDIE stage. The data analysis technique used is the normality test and t test.The research results show that the interactive science learning e-module based on project based learning that was developed is very effective and interesting to use in science learning. The science e-module is effective in improving science process skills because the results of field trials show students' enthusiasm in learning science and students who easily understand science material with the stages of science process skills. Science process skills can also provide innovation to educators in creating enjoyable science learning.

Development of Ethnosciene Reels of Ketapang Malay Tribe as Supplementary Learning Resources on Hydrocarbon Compounds

The habit of the Malay community in using natural materials as fuel can be integrated into chemistry teaching materials in schools. The aim of this research is to assess the validity and practicality of reels as a learning resource and to develop reels based on the ethnoscience of the Ketapang Malay tribe. The research development model used is the Three Stages Research and Development (TSRD) model, which consists of three steps: planning, development, and dissemination. Data collection techniques involve indirect communication using validation sheets and response instruments. The subjects of the research are students from SMA N 1 Sungai Laur. The results of the study indicate that the ethnoscience-based reels of the Malay tribe are valid and practical, with validity and practicality scores of 96.3% and 90.30%, respectively. The reels can be used as an independent, practical, and engaging learning resource that is relevant to students. Therefore, the validity and practicality results of the development of ethnoscience-based reels are expected to serve as an innovative and contextual alternative media for chemistry education in schools.

Improving Critical Thinking Skills of Elementary Students Through Science Learning with Interactive Teaching Materials and Problem Based Learning

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of interactive multimedia-based learning with Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving critical thinking skills of elementary school students in Natural and Social Sciences subjects. This research uses a development method with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of validation from the aspects of material, media, and language showed high ratings, and the product was declared practical by teachers and students. Students were actively involved in learning, and the results of statistical analysis showed significant differences between the control group and the experimental group in learning activities. This shows that this method is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. Nonetheless, this study has limitations in terms of generalization of the results. Future research is expected to expand the scope of the study and consider additional factors for the development of more effective learning methods.

PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KERJA PESERTA DIDIK BERBASIS DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA MATERI SISTEM PENCERNAAN MANUSIA

The background to this research is the development of student worksheets based on Discovery Learning. This research aims to produce interactive learning media products on the human digestive system that are valid, practical and effective. This type of research is the development of the PLOMP model. The research method used in this research is research and development. This research was tested on 20 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 O'o'u. To standardize products, three test stages are carried out, namely: validity test, practicality test, effectiveness test. The instruments used are assessment questionnaires using a Likert scale and evaluation test questions to determine student learning outcomes. The research results show that the Discovery Learning-based LKPD is very valid with a presentation of 85% and is suitable for use. The average value of practicality assessed by teachers is 3.48 and students are 3.64 in the very practical category. Student motivation results are at 86% with a cognitive average of 88.7. The suggestion given by the researcher is that science-biology subject teachers should use LKPD as teaching materials in the teaching and learning process because it can increase students' interest and motivation to learn. Through this teaching material, students can broaden their horizons regarding science-biology learning on the subject of the human digestive system. For future researchers, this student worksheet can be used as reference material in research
