Effects of Christian Religious Studies Literacy on Academic Performance and Achievement of Secondary Students on their Academic Achievement: A Case Study of Secondary School 1 Students in Quaan-Pan Local Government in Plateau State of Nigeria

Purpose: This research is being carried out to critically examine the effects of Christian religious studies literacy on academic achievement with a particular reference to Quaan-pan Local Government Area of Plateau State of Nigeria. The researchers deem this research work necessary because of regular massive failure witnessed in CRS results in both WAEC and NECO. Most times, students have to depend on examination malpractices in order to pass exam in Quaan-pan LGA.
 Methodology: In order for this objective to have been assessed, three research questions were formulated. The data that was collected is being analyzed by using simple percentages and tables for the research questions to be analyzed. A structured questionnaire is being used as the major instrument of data collection from the respondents in selected secondary schools in Quaan-pan Local Government Area of Plateau State to ascertain whether there is some level of knowledge that are acquired by Christian religious studies students in Quaan-pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.
 Findings: The study found out that the effects associated with Christian religious studies prompted this study and the mass failure of students in CRS is due to lack of relevant effective teaching method for the subject. The challenges ranging from poor understanding of pedagogical and theological aims of the subject, societal moral decadence, lack of passion and love for students and the job, poor communication technique to vast and abstract nature of the subject. Solutions to these inadequacies have also been sought; hence the need to adhere strictly to the demands of stakeholders in education of children, because factors affecting teachers’ preparation and execution of their lesson plans effectively jeopardize the aim of establishing the subject.
 Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study is being concluded with some recommendations that would require school managers to not only organize, but encourage CRS teachers to attend workshops, conferences and seminars, because the task of molding human behaviour is dynamic; hence regular attendance to conferences, seminars and workshops will equip them with new approaches and methods for effective implementation of CRS curriculum among students.

Cretaceous to Cenozoic controls on the genesis of the shelf-incising Perth Canyon; insights from a two-part geomorphology mapping approach

Perth Canyon is Australia's second largest submarine canyon, and its shelf-incising morphology contrasts with the more prolific slope-confined canyons that typify Australia's passive continental margin. The canyon has a sinuous course that extends 120 km from the shelf break (~180 m depth) to its fan at the foot of the continental slope (~4500 m). Though the canyon initiates only 50 km offshore from a major city, its genesis and geomorphic stability have not been well understood. Bathymetry data acquired in 2015 by the Schmidt Ocean Institute enabled the application of a new two-part seafloor classification approach to objectively map the complexity of the system in unprecedented detail. Part 1 used a semi-automated approach to classify the seafloor bathymetry into morphological categories, and Part 2 defined these units as geomorphological features through the interpretation of sub-bottom and seismic images, sediment samples and acoustic backscatter datasets. The resulting geomorphic map reveals an array of aggradational (cyclic steps and sediment waves), incisional (entrenched canyon floor and nick-points) and mass movement (slump and slab failures) features that for the first time provide detailed insights into the canyon's formative processes. Large faults and the Cretaceous palaeobathymetry appear to have strong influence on the canyon's planform, its depth of incision, and the distribution and types of mass failure that characterise its flanks. These data also reveal the Perth Canyon to be a predominantly relict feature; a large Late Cretaceous infilled incised valley (subaerial) beneath the canyon headwall likely initiated the canyon's development and represents its initial and most active phase. Two more infilled incised valleys are stacked above the first, and demonstrate a progressive decrease in scale, and presumably also canyon activity. Each incised valley represents lowstand incisions of the palaeo-Swan River, and their timing is linked to pronounced Late Cretaceous to Cenozoic sea level regression events, palaeoclimatic change, and onshore catchment enlargement. The disconnection of the modern Perth Canyon from the present day Swan River, and the low rates of sediment accumulation on the adjacent shelf and slope, ensure low rates of sediment supply to the canyon, and only infrequent ignition of turbidity currents. Low rates of sediment supply can similarly account for the entrenched morphology of the modern fan and only minimal headwall movement coincident with seismic events in 2018. However, additional core and bathymetry data for the lower canyon reaches are required to conclusively determine the extent of recent canyon activity.

Multi-Source Information Monitoring Test of Fractured Rock Mass Destruction Characteristics and Sensitivity Analysis of Precursor Phenomena

The accuracy of the monitoring information is particularly important for exploring fractured rock mass deformation and failure mechanisms and precursor characteristics. Appropriate monitoring methods can not only timely and effectively reflect the failure laws of fractured rock masses but also play an early warning role. To explore more reasonable monitoring methods, uniaxial compression experiments and real-time non-destructive monitoring on prefabricated fractured rock specimens through DIC, AE, and IRT were conducted; the strain field, temperature field, ringing frequency, standard deviation, etc. were analyzed; and correlation between the three methods in the information of audience was explored. The results show the following. (1) The failure evolution process of fractured rock mass can be divided into four stages. DIC can detect the initiation and propagation of cracks near the fractures of the specimen at the earliest stages. (2) The order of occurrence of precursor phenomena in multi-source monitoring information is different, which is vertical strain field > shear strain field > horizontal strain field > temperature field > ringing times. (3) The dispersion degree of standard deviation of each field is obviously different; the infrared temperature field is greater, but the strain field and temperature field show the same trend. (4) There are obvious precursors before the specimen is on the verge of instability; acoustic emission detected two consecutive increases in the cumulative number of ringing before destruction, which means the most obvious precursors. The research results can provide a theoretical basis for the precursory information capture and damage early warning of the fractured rock mass destruction process.

Evidence for Upper Cretaceous seismites in the Abu Tartur area, Western Desert, Egypt

Upper Cretaceous tidal-flat sediments of the Abu Tartur region, Western Desert of Egypt, contain a variety of soft-sediment deformation structures (SSDSs) in the Mut Member of the Quseir Formation and the overlying Duwi Formation. Here, we document recognition of a set of SSDSs characterized by complex morphology and large size. The SSDS include: 1) water-escape structures, 2) minor recumbent, chevron, and slump folds, 3) syn-sedimentary minor faults, 4) neptunian dykes, 5) regular ball-and-pillow structures, flattened pseudo-nodules, and load casts, 6) syn-sedimentary undulations, 7) fractures and joints, 8) sand injectites, and 9) autoclastic breccia and brecciated siderite clasts. The dimensions of the SSDSs range from a few centimeters to several decimeters. Both extensional and contractional forces appear to have been involved in development of these structures. A detailed analysis of facies relationships, combined with consistent orientations of SSDSs and the regional tectonics of the target area suggests earthquakes as the triggering mechanism for sediment deformation and large-scale mass failure. The deformed strata are consistent with most of the well-known criteria of typical seismites. Thus, syn-sedimentary liquefaction was identified as the primary driving force in most of the observed deformation horizons for these Upper Cretaceous SSDSs in the Abu Tartur area.

Mechanical Properties and Deterioration Instability of Filling Body with Gangue-Cement Material Based on AE Experiment

Gangue materials have been used to solve mine disasters with a support tunnel along the goaf and filling mining. Mastering the properties and damage characteristics of filling materials is an important basis for effective implementation. Based on the conventional uniaxial compression acoustic emission (AE) test, the effects of cementitious materials, ratio between water and cementitious material, gangue particle size, and grading parameters on the mechanical properties of gangue-cement samples were analyzed. The stage characteristics of compression deformation were studied. The fracture propagation characteristics and rock mass failure types induced by different graded gangues were revealed. The fracture forming mechanism from clustered damage and failure was interpreted. The results show that the compressive strength of the backfill increases with the increase of cementitious material; however, it decreases with the increase of water binder ratio. Controlling the proportion and dosage of materials was the key factor to realizing pumpability and stability. Combined with the deformation and AE characteristics, the failure stage of the backfill body is divided into three stages: linear deformation-low energy changing, block compression-high energy changing, and gentle stability-stable energy changing. Affected by the gangue distribution, the load in each stage will induce fracture to produce five distribution modes of single, turning, breakthrough, bifurcated, and collapsed surrounding gangue. In the process of loading failure, different gradation and particle sizes will also change its stress concentration characteristics, resulting in the transformation of rock failure types. The surface structure and roughness of gangue play an important role in the compressive performance of cement paste. The research results try to provide some guidance for efficient filling mining.

Can Assessment Be a Panacea for All Education’s Ills? The Case of an Entrance Examination to Ghana School of Law

The 2019 entrance examination of the Ghana School of Law (GSL) recorded an unusually high failure rate which sparked a vibrant national discourse. This study sought to throw light on the reasons for the mass failure and unsuccessful students’ understanding of this experience using documentary sources and interviews. The study found that there was concern about the rising cases of unprofessional practices among legal practitioners and the authorities decided to stop the decline with the entrance examination. The entrance examination was purposefully used to restrict the number of entrants to the professional legal training institution. Also, the students who did not pass the examination felt being treated unfairly but were cowed by the fact of their failure in the examination. The study concluded that the entrance examination was used in a unique way primarily because of the notion of merit inherent in assessment which is also seen as the embodiment of acceptable standard. Numerical Simulation of Large Compression Deformation Disaster and Supporting Behavior of Deep Buried Soft Rock Tunnel with High In Situ Stress Based on CDEM

Large compressive deformation of tunnels is a phenomenon involving plastic deformation and failure of surrounding rocks and often refers to the weak surrounding rock self‐bearing capacity loss or partial loss. This research discusses the formation and evolution of large compressive deformation and effectiveness of the combined support of high in situ stress tunnel. From the new perspective of large deformation disaster caused by the structural failure of high in situ stress surrounding rock to clarify it, this paper illustrates the mechanism of progressive cracking and large deformation of high in situ stress soft rock tunnel from the aspects of the formation of self‐bearing system, deformation evolution of the surrounding rock, mechanical properties of the surrounding rock, and failure characteristics. Accordingly, the continuous and discontinuous numerical simulation methods are used. The following conclusions are drawn by comparing the simulation results of surrounding rock under combined support with no support. (1) The supporting structure constitutes the self‐supporting system with the surrounding rock and plays the roles of codeformation and load‐bearing. (2) The support structure has evident reinforcing effect on the rock mass in the relaxation zone, thereby leading to the phenomenon of weakened rock mass failure. Moreover, the shear area develops to the compaction zone. (3) The supporting structure improves the bearing capacity of rock mass in the relaxation zone. It also increases the surrounding rock stress and reduces the range of the compaction zone. Simulation results verify that the combined support measures have a good suppression effect on the large compressive deformation, thereby providing a reference for similar projects and research on the large compressive deformation of soft rock.

A METHOD OF CONNECTING IMPORTANT LOADS TO BACKUP POWER

Increasing the productivity of electrified agricultural and processing industries requires the development of methods to increase the reliability of their power supply. In order to reduce the mass failures in electrical networks caused by weather and climatic conditions, the power supply of agricultural consumers must be reserved by autonomous sources. (Research purpose) The research purpose is developing a new way to connect responsible consumers to a backup power plant, which will allow only responsible consumers to be connected to diesel power plants during the outage of grid. (Materials and methods) Analyzed emergency situations, 70-80 percent of all interruptions in the power supply of agricultural electrical consumers are due to damage to the lines feeding them, while 90 percent of such damage occurs in overhead lines. (Results and discussion) Of all the measures aimed at increasing the reliability of power supply, a special place is occupied by the development and improvement of methods that allow you to quickly connect a responsible consumer to a backup power plant. The use of the local reserve is especially relevant in connection with serious quantitative and qualitative changes in the agricultural and processing industry. During the outage, when feeding responsible consumers from the main line, diesel power plants are most often used as such a backup means. (Conclusions) The proposed method allows powering consumers when connected to a backup diesel power plant by implementing an algorithm for selecting responsible electrical receivers. This will make it possible to increase the reliability of power supply to responsible consumers and reduce the outages.

Controls on submarine canyon morphology along a convergent tectonic margin. The Southern Caribbean of Colombia

Submarine canyons are major conduits for sediment transfer from continental shelf to deep marine environments. Mass failures and faults play a key role in the initiation and evolution of submarine canyons along convergent tectonic margins, in addition to continental sediment supply. Here we analyze high-resolution bathymetry and seismic data from the Colombian southern Caribbean to investigate the controls on submarine canyon morphology along a convergent tectonic margin. We propose three end-member types of canyons: Type I canyons have a direct connection to a major river associated with high sediment supply. These canyons are highly erosive and cut topographic barriers created by tectonic deformation. Type II canyons are associated with faults at the canyon's head, where the location, orientation, and sinuosity are controlled by fault strike. Also, the presence of faults is related to an increase in the occurrence of mass failures from the steep canyon borders, increasing the depth and width asymmetry. Finally, Type III canyons evolve toward the continental shelf edge through retrogressive mass failures. These mass failures produce erosional scars that merge downslope to create submarine canyons in early stages of development, which later evolve to wider but shallow canyons due to the progressive basinward merging. We argue that the morphology of each canyon type is controlled by the interaction between continental sediment supply, mass failures, shelf width, and fault occurrence. We also demonstrate that seafloor topography influences the size of submarine fan deposits at the mouths of canyons. We identified large fan deposits (>650 km2) on the continental rise, whereas in piggyback sub-basins we found smaller fans (<60 km2). Our analysis of downdip canyon morphology and associated deposits can be used to predict the development of submarine canyons and associated fans in convergent tectonic margins worldwide.

A coupled simulation of lateral erosion, unsaturated seepage and bank instability due to prolonged high flow

The impacts of various hydrological processes such as infiltration, saturated/unsaturated seepage and river drawdown on bank retreat are complex, yet crucial in understanding fluvial erosion processes. The bank retreat generally occurs due to a combination of erosion and mass failure. In this study, coupled analyses of a bank retreat during prolonged high flow in Southern Thailand were performed considering these hydrological and mechanical processes, by means of finite element seepage model (SEEP/W), stability analysis (SLOPE/W) and erosion model (BSTEM). The simulation result was then validated based on field observation. A detailed characterization of unsaturated soil hydraulic properties of the bank soils, namely soil–water retention curve (SWRC) and unsaturated permeability (k-function) was carried out on undisturbed soil samples in the laboratory and used in the seepage analysis. Two modes of mass instability were considered in the analysis, namely sliding failure and cantilever failure. The analysis revealed that a prolonged antecedent rainfall lead to saturation of the bank soil which triggered sliding failure of the bank at an early stage of the flood event. As water level progressively increased, repeated cycles of cantilever failure and erosion of the lower bank were reproduced in the model, yielding the estimated total bank retreat of about 5.3 metre, which agreed well with field observation. Another series of analyses with empirically estimated unsaturated soil parameters however yielded a different bank retreat behaviour, thus highlighting the importance of accurately determining hydraulic functions. The lateral erosion was finally shown to be a prominent process that induced overhanging riverbank shape and cantilever failure, thus being a major contribution of the bank retreat in this case study.

Assessing the conditions at the boundary of excavations in bedded or foliated rocks

Routine ground support design requires a rapid analysis tool to allow sensitivity studies on the impact of variations in the nature of bedded or foliated rock masses. A heuristic technique based on the adoption of an equivalent transversely isotropic continuum has been developed that includes a shear modulus that reflects the spacing of bedding partings or foliations . This results in the prediction of much higher stresses around an excavation when compared to an isotropic assumption. A unique relationship between a continuum shear modulus and spacing is not possible because the shear stiffness of bedding partings or foliations increases with increasing vertical stress. The heuristic can be applied to sectors of an excavation where the boundary is sub-parallel to the partings being considered. By adopting an anisotropic stress model, rock mass failure can be modelled using an isotropic brittle strength model. A re-examination of published data on overbreak in jointed quartzites and a moderately foliated rock mass at high depths collaborates the use of the technique. The heuristic technique produces similar failure zones to those predicted using an isotropic stress/ubiquitous joint approach. • Adopting transverse isotropy significantly increases the estimated stress changes near the excavation boundary compared to an isotropic assumption. • Combining a transversely isotropic material model with brittle rock failure concepts results in a useable heuristic for analysing excavation in bedded rock. • A shear stiffness of 3 GPa/m has been adopted for bedding partings or foliations under low normal stress. • Simple elastic anisotropic stress models can be used, but implementation requires the use of design sectors for different excavation faces.

Combining stratigraphic forward modeling and susceptibility mapping to investigate the origin and evolution of submarine canyons

The debate on the submarine canyon origin between the upslope erosion model dominated by retrogressive mass failures and the downslope erosion model controlled by gravity flows has not been fully settled. However, this debate is critical for explaining submarine canyon evolution. This study combines susceptibility mapping and stratigraphic forward modeling (SFM) to examine the origin and evolution of submarine canyons under various fluvial discharge and morphologies. The SFM work consists of dozens of hypothetical numerical experiments based on typical passive margin bathymetry with half bathymetry occupied by an incipient canyon and associated river mouth topography, and another half bathymetry by steep slopes without canyons. Evolution characteristics in both plan and cross-section views are analyzed, and the impacts of fluvial and morphological features on canyon evolution are tested.The results indicate that the submarine canyons retreat landward, tributaries develop on the canyon outer banks, and blind canyons grow landward to capture small gullies and form shelf-incising canyons. The upslope pattern is dominant regardless of changes in fluvial discharge and morphologies. The locations of tiny gullies on steep slopes determine the distribution and growth direction of submarine canyons, whereas fluvial conditions and morphology parameters affect the canyon dimensions. High fluvial discharge and high canyon sidewall slope angle promote tributary development and canyon erosion. High canyon sinuosity leads to an asymmetrical distribution of tributaries on canyon outer banks whereas high regional slope angle increases the canyon length and decreases the canyon spacing.This study settles the debate between the upslope and downslope erosion models. In addition, it refines the upslope model by highlighting the importance of small-scale gullies and testing the influence of fluvial and morphological conditions on canyon evolution. The conclusions could promote the understanding of submarine canyons and assist in reservoir exploration and hazards prevention.

Selection and characterization of microseismic information about rock mass failure for rockburst warning in a deep tunnel

A rockburst is a complex dynamic engineering failure hazard encountered in deep tunnels, which leads to serious casualties, mechanical damage, project delays, and economic loss. To conduct microseismic (MS) warning and safety control of rockburst hazard can reduce the degree of damage and incidence of rockburst failure. Through analysis of the failure behavior and microseismicity of rockbursts of different intensities, the interference factors and causes for rockburst warning were clarified. By introducing the MS energy gradation curve to analyze the completeness of the MS catalogue, a selection method of MS information for rockburst warning was established. Geomechanical conditions, such as the crack initiation level and degree of damage of a rock mass with different intensities of rockbursts, were characterized by using the distribution of MS events based on a MS energy gradation curve. The logarithm of MS energy threshold value is 0.30 for screening MS events for rockburst warning in this tunnel was set. By comparing the difference of the slope of its straight-line segment, its d90 value, and other parameters of MS energy gradation curve in the area at risk to the characteristic parameters used for rockburst warning of various intensities, whether the crack initiation level and degree of damage have reached the condition of occurrence of rockburst can be judged, which can provide some assistance and reference for rockburst warning. Relevant results have been applied in the follow-up rockburst warning work in a tunnel, showing a good effect. More than 85% of rockburst hazards can be effectively identified and warnings were issued. The method proposed here can provide support for warning of rockburst accuracy in the excavation of deep-buried hard rock tunnels.

Study on the Variation Rule and Characteristics of Pore Water Pressure in the Failure Process of Saturated Rock

With the development of tunnels and other engineering constructions into the deep strata, rock masses are more prone to dynamic damage such as rock bursts under in situ conditions and excavation disturbances. The pore water in the rock mass will produce pressure changes during this process. According to the relationship between the change of pore water pressure and the development of rock mass damage, the variation rule and precursor characteristics of pore water pressure in the process of rock mass failure can be found. In this paper, through mechanical analysis, the evolution law of pore water pressure during the failure process of saturated rock is obtained. The study found that, in the process of rock failure, the pore water pressure presents three stages of linear growth, transition, and decrease. The rise and fall of pore water pressure are closely related to rock damage and influence each other. Through the observation of pore water pressure during coal mining, it is found that the coseismic effect of pore water pressure is significant. It is proved that there is a close correlation between the evolution of the stress field in the surrounding area of the stope and the change of pore water pressure in the surrounding area under the effect of mining disturbance. During the engineering practice, dynamic monitoring can be carried out on the change of pore water pressure inside the rock mass according to the law, and the precursor information of rock mass instability and failure can be explored.

Failure characteristics and stability control technology of dynamic pressure roadway affected by the mining activity: A case study

Dynamic pressure roadway affected by the mining activity (DPRAMA), which is aimed at promoting the efficiency of panel replacement, is a new mode of roadway arrangement in neighboring panels. However, the failure characteristics and stability control of DPRAMA surrounding rock are rarely reported. In this study, the fragment grade of two-side coal mass of DPRAMA in Gaojiapu Coal Mine was evaluated using the basic measurement scale-fragment grade evaluation method. Then, the evolution of rock mass failure was analyzed through Flac3D software. The results show that (1) under static loading, DPRAMA is highly stable. (2) Under the second dynamic loading, the stress concentration coefficient and deformation value of surrounding rock both surges. (3) Under dynamic-static loadings, the roof falling value is far larger than the floor heave value, and the deformation of pillar-side coal mass is more serious than that of panel-side coal mass. Surrounding rock deformation is divided into three phases, and the specific support strategy is selected in accordance with the characteristics of each stage. (4) The plastic region shows a tendency of butterfly-shaped failure. Based on these findings, the surrounding rock control strategy of “slow yield and long-short control” was proposed to alleviate roof and pillar-side coal mass deformation. Furthermore, the coupling support scheme of “high-strength yield bolt (cable) & steel band” was designed for DPRAMA.

TEACHER-STUDENTS CLASSROOM INTERACTIONS OF PUBLIC SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS III IN KATSINA METROPOLIS, NIGERIA

Abstract: The paper investigates the teacher-student interactions during English lessons at SS III Public Schools of Katsina Metropolis. The reason that triggered the research was the mass failure of students especially at Senior Secondary Examinations. The paper used the constructivist theory as a theoretical framework. It also used teachers’ and students’ questionnaires, a Target Language Observation Scheme (TALOS) and audio recorded lessons in the schools observed as instruments for data collection. Six schools were examined out of twelve. A total number of 6 teachers and 132 students were selected as the sample of the study. All six teachers were observed, and the lessons were recorded at different times. Simple Frequency Counts and Percentages were the basis used for the analysis of the data collected. The findings revealed that teacher-student interactions need to be improved as teachers gave room for the students to participate in the interactions but unfortunately, they remained idle in the class. An Attempt to Use Machine Learning Algorithms to Estimate the Rockburst Hazard in Underground Excavations of Hard Coal Mine

Rockburst is a dynamic rock mass failure occurring during underground mining under unfavorable stress conditions. The rockburst phenomenon concerns openings in different rocks and is generally correlated with high stress in the rock mass. As a result of rockburst, underground excavations lose their functionality, the infrastructure is damaged, and the working conditions become unsafe. Assessing rockburst hazards in underground excavations becomes particularly important with the increasing mining depth and the mining-induced stresses. Nowadays, rockburst risk prediction is based mainly on various indicators. However, some attempts have been made to apply machine learning algorithms for this purpose. For this article, we employed an extensive range of machine learning algorithms, e.g., an artificial neural network, decision tree, random forest, and gradient boosting, to estimate the rockburst risk in galleries in one of the deep hard coal mines in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin, Poland. With the use of these algorithms, we proposed rockburst risk prediction models. Neural network and decision tree models were most effective in assessing whether a rockburst occurred in an analyzed case, taking into account the average value of the recall parameter. In three randomly selected datasets, the artificial neural network models were able to identify all of the rockbursts.

Localized Enhancement of Infrared Radiation Temperature of Rock Compressively Sheared to Fracturing Sliding: Features and Significance

Previous experiments indicated that infrared radiation temperature (IRT) was applied in monitoring rock stress or rock mass fracturing, and abnormal IRT phenomena preceding rock failure or tectonic earthquakes were frequently reported. However, the characteristics of IRT changing with rock fracturing and frictional sliding are not clear, which leaves much uncertainties of location and pattern identification of stress-produced IRT. In this study, we investigated carefully the localized IRT enhancement of rock compressively sheared to fracturing and sliding (named as CSFS) with marble and granite specimens. Infrared thermogram and visible photos were synchronously observed in the process of rock CSFS experiment. We revealed that localized IRT enhancement was determined by local stress locking, sheared fracturing, and frictional sliding, and the relations between the Kcv of IRT and the shear force are almost linear in wave length 3.7–4.8 μm. In the process of rock CSFS, the detected ΔIRT which resulted from thermoelastic effect is 0.418 K, while the detected ΔIRT resulted from friction effect reaches up to 10.372 K, which is about 25 times to the former. This study is of potential values for infrared detection of rock mass failure in engineering scale and satellite remote sensing of the seismogenic process in the regional scale.
