MACROECONOMIC DIMENSION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MARKET DEVELOPMENT

Information technologies play a crucial role in the modern economic system, acting as a driver for the development of the state. Information technologies are not only one of the most important factors stimulating economic growth but also contribute to the development of society, employment stimulation, and competition enhancement. The information technology market generates a significant portion of the GDP and export revenues. The analysis of the formation and development of the domestic information technology market is a key factor in understanding its importance in shaping the prospects of Ukraine as a digital state. The study analyses the dynamics of the development of the national information technology market, providing a comparative analysis of indicators between the Ukrainian market and several other countries.The article aims to analyse the macroeconomic impact of the information technology market on the development of the national economy, investigating correlation relationships between the rates of economic growth and various indicators both in Ukraine and in EU countries.The article explores the directions of the influence of the national information technology market on the dynamics of economic growth. Based on the conducted analysis, conclusions are drawn about the existence of a direct correlation between the growth of information technology export and GDP growth both in Ukraine and in European Union countries. The correlation between the increase in GDP and the growth of other important indicators in the information technology market, including the number of specialists and investments in scientific research, is analysed. Statistical methods reveal a relatively strong connection between the growth rates of investments in scientific research in the field of information technology and the GDP growth rate. At the same time, the correlation between the growth of the workforce in the information technology market and GDP is somewhat weaker.

Achieving Environmental sustainability through the adoption of industry 4.0: an exploratory case study within the information technology industry

Abstract In the present-day competitive business landscape, integrating Industry 4.0 has transitioned from a choice to a necessity for companies striving to maintain their edge. Given the automation functions of IoT, the data management and transformation capabilities of AI, and the traceability benefits provided by Blockchain, this imperative is now more evident than ever. While widespread interest in Industry 4.0 is prevalent, the uncertainties surrounding the implementation process pose notable challenges. For this reason, in this paper, we present a single case study of a firm that operates in the information technology market to showcase the implementation process and how they overcome the challenges of digital transformation. Furthermore, the effect of this implementation on environmental sustainability experienced by the company and three of its customers was discussed.

Detection of the Compromising Audio Signal by Analyzing Its AM Demodulated Spectrum

The information technology and communication (IT&C) market consists of computing and telecommunication technology systems, which also include a variety of audio devices. Preserving the confidentiality of transmitted information through these devices stands as a critical concern across various domains and businesses. Notably, spurious electromagnetic emanations emitted by audio devices can be captured and processed, potentially leading to eavesdropping incidents. The evaluation of electronic devices for potential security vulnerabilities often involves employing Transient Electromagnetic Pulse Emanation Standard (TEMPEST) technology. This paper introduces a novel approach to TEMPEST testing specifically tailored for audio devices. The outcomes of the proposed approach offer valuable insights into TEMPEST equipment testing, aiming to mitigate the potential risks posed by threats exploitable by eavesdroppers in everyday scenarios. The present work delves into the examination of two ubiquitous global electronic devices: a notebook and a pair of in-ear headphones. The symmetrical framework of this study arises from the intrinsic similarity that, despite belonging to distinct categories, both devices possess the capability to emit electromagnetic emissions that contain compromised audio signals. This assertion is substantiated by the measurement results presented herein. The proposed methodology involves the analysis of the audio amplitude modulation (AM) demodulated signal in the frequency domain. This innovative approach not only mitigates operator fatigue but also significantly reduces the testing time required for these devices and instrument running hours and leads to the development of new applications.

Young specialists on the labor market of information and computer technologies

Introduction. The situation on the labor market of IT specialists in Russia after 02.24.2022 was characterized by a sharp decrease in supply from employers and growth in the number of trainees in information and computer technology specialties. At the same time, salaries in the IT sector for most specialties decreased or slightly increased in comparison with inflation for the same period.Purpose setting. In the article on the basis of analytics of vacancies and salaries in the field of IT sphere the possibilities of occupation of positions in the field of software product development, their maintenance and IT processes management by graduates in the specialties of information and computer technologies are studied.Methodology and methods of the study. The median values of salaries in vacancies in various IT specialties are analyzed and compared with the current salaries of workers in the information sphere.Results. The tendencies of changes in salaries in IT sphere in comparison with employers» vacancies are revealed. The comparison of salaries in vacancies for graduates of universities and vocational training institutions and in offers for specialists with work experience is made.Conclusion. The most in-demand positions in the IT sphere for graduates of universities and vocational training institutions in the specialties of information and computer technologies have been identified.

Influential factors on strategic management accounting application and its influence on the business: Empirical evidence from a developing market

The successful application of strategic management accounting (SMA) and its influence on business in a developing market are contingent on various factors. Oyewo (2022) emphasizes the impact of contextual factors such as organizational structure, information technology (IT) quality, business strategy, market orientation, competition, and environmental uncertainty on the usage intensity of SMA and its influence on competitive advantage. This study investigates the drivers behind adopting SMA and its consequential effects on the performance of listed Vietnamese firms. The research employed a mixed-methods approach, integrating qualitative and quantitative methodologies to delineate research models, formulate hypotheses, assess the determinants influencing SMA implementation, and evaluate the impact of SMA application on corporate performance. The authors employed the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) framework to analyse data from 147 listed companies in Vietnam. The outcomes reveal that variables such as the utilisation of information technology in business operations, participative decision-making, accountant qualifications, perceived environmental uncertainty, and strategic orientation positively influence SMA implementation, subsequently yielding positive effects on the performance of listed companies in Vietnam. This research contributes valuable insights into the factors shaping SMA adoption in Vietnamese enterprises, enriching practical managerial knowledge and theoretical perspectives.

Analysis of Nike's Marketing Strategy Based on Adolescent Consumer Psychology

With the advent of the era of big data, social media platforms have led to tremendous changes in the consumption environment and habits of young consumers, and the marketing methods of enterprises have also been completely subverted. Among many sporting goods brand companies, Nike, as a leading company, has made full use of the rapidly developing information technology and implemented new marketing strategies through social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to further strengthen its competitive advantage in the field of sporting goods. This paper uses the literature analysis method as the main research method, and combines the actual cases in the history of Nike to analyze and discuss the marketing strategy of Nike in the young consumer market. Through the analysis of psychological needs such as the satisfaction of personalization and self-expression, the construction of social status, the strengthening of brand loyalty, and the pursuit of trends and fashion, emphasis on product quality and performance, and exploration of personal identity and escapism, the author can better understand the needs and mentality of young consumers, so as to formulate effective marketing strategies and enhance Nike's competitiveness in the young consumer market. It is now concluded that advocating social justice causes, promoting environmental sustainability and emphasizing innovation, supporting young peoples creative exploration, etc., can improve Nikes marketing strategy, better meet the needs of young consumers, and build deeper relationships with them, ensuring Nikes long-term success in a highly competitive market.

Investigating the relationship between academia and the information technology industry: a systematic literature review

This work aims to investigate the relationship between the information technology industry and academia from 2019 to 2023 through a Systematic Literature Review. The guidelines followed for conducting the SLR were established by Kitchenham and Charters (2007), through which it was possible to obtain a total of 34 primary studies. The results indicate that: (i) academia struggles to keep up with technological advancements due to the disparity between what is taught in the classroom and what is required by the industry; (ii) despite the challenges of keeping pace with technological advancements, academia is making efforts to address these issues through internal academic activities and industry-academia collaboration; (iii) there is a shortage of qualified workforce for the information technology market, particularly in terms of technical and interpersonal skills; and (iv) the job market has defined specific competencies for hiring in this field.

Rapidly advancing information technology and intense global market competition necessitate organizations to evaluate and enhance their performance to remain relevant and competitive. This research aims to investi-gate best practices in HRM and technology integration to promote innovation, with a focus on its positive impact on organizational performance. The approach entails conducting an in-depth examination of literature through qualitative analysis, aiming to attain a comprehensive comprehension of the topic spanning the years 2001 to 2023. The study's findings indicate that human resource management (HRM) strategies focusing on employee recruitment, training, and development, along with effective performance management, form the basis for a competent team. A positive work environment with constructive feedback enhances productivity. Technology integration, through information and communication technology (ICT) and technology based HRM systems, improves operational efficiency. The use of technology for decision-making, administration, and employee data analysis accelerates business processes. Technology integration also stimulates innovation through collaboration and artificial intelligence, aiding organizations in identifying new opportunities in the digital era.

Empowerment of Village Owned Enterprises through E-Commerce Information Technology in Increasing the Economy of Sipodeceng Village Communities

Background: This activity aims to increase the role of Bumdes Padaidi Sipodeceng through e-commerce information technology based on the Bumdes Sipodeceng Store application in improving the economy of the people of Sipodeceng Village.
 Contribution: This activity improves the welfare of the people of Sipodeceng Village through e-commerce information technology.
 Method: The method of this activity includes Socialization of the implementation of activities, Counseling by explaining the e-commerce information technology marketing model (BUMDES Sipodeceng Store), training and mentoring the use of information technology for BUMDES partner groups, carrying out assistance, as well as monitoring and evaluation.
 Results: Training and mentoring activities based on pre-test and post-test data analysis have positive implications for 3 parameters: knowledge from 42.14 to 89.14%, skills from 35.9% to 90.12%, and motivation from 63.2% to 93 .2%. From these data, an analysis of the effectiveness of these 3 parameters is carried out, the values of which are knowledge at 81%, skills at 85%, and motivation at 79%. These three numbers indicate that community service activities are effective because the value is above 50%.
 Conclusion: From these activities, it can be concluded that e-commerce information technology at BUMDES Padaidi Sipodeceng is still very much needed to increase the role of BUMDES in community empowerment.

Evaluating the Popularity of Programming Languages in Indonesia using the MABAC Method

<span lang="EN">In today's fast-paced digital era, the selection of a programming language plays a crucial role in the success of software development projects. This research aims to create an index of popularity for programming languages using the multi-attributive border approximation area comparison (MABAC) method. The study considers four data sources, including Jobstreet.Com, LinkedIn.Com, Google Trends, and Tiobe.com, to obtain the necessary information for evaluating the popularity of programming languages in Indonesia. The data range for this study is from May 1, 2020, until April 31, 2021. The results of the study indicate that the top ten programming languages in terms of popularity in Indonesia are Java, SQL, php, JavaScript, C, C++, python, C#, Visual Basic, and Assembly. The index can serve as a useful guide for strategic decision-making regarding the selection of programming languages for addressing the needs of the information technology market in Indonesia. The study's findings can be useful for software developers, IT professionals, and decision-makers in organizations who need to select a programming language for their software projects in Indonesia. The MABAC method used in this study can also be applied to other contexts for evaluating the popularity of programming languages.</span>

Pengembangan Desa Wisata Batik Girilayu di Desa Girilayu Berbasis Local Wisdom Menuju Global Market

Since 2020, the Karanganyar Regency Government has proclaimed Girilayu Village as a tourist village and the Giriarum Batik MSMEs have produced batik tulis products that are the pride of the community. The existing problems are related: tourism village branding and Girilayu-style batik products have not been identified; the tourism village management program and its unique products already exist, but have not been carried out massively and integrated; Batik Giriarum MSMEs batik tulis products already have a clear market segmentation, but digital marketing and information technology have not been fully utilized. BUMDes, Pokdarwis, Girilayu Village Government, and MSMEs Batik Giriarum are aware of the existing problems and their solutions but have not been able to implement the program properly. This community service aims to: 1) Increase understanding of branding, information technology, and digital marketing; 2) Improve skills and knowledge about the management of tourist villages and their unique products; and 3) Improve local potential management capacity. The method used to achieve the goal are participatory-based community service activities involving all stakeholders in the planning and implementation. Activities are designed and implemented in a comprehensive and integrated manner as a solution to problems so that the Village Government, BUMDes, Pokdarwis, and the Batik Giriarum MSMEs are motivated and concerned about their role as agents of change for the development of the Girilayu Tourism Village. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the batik-making community and the management of the Girilayu Tourism Village, including: 1) Giriarum Batik MSMEs understand and contribute to the design of the brand identity of the Girilayu Batik Tourism Village; 2) BUMDes and Pokdarwis HR insights and skills in managing local potential are growing; and 3) Active promotion of MSMEs Batik Giriarum batik products and tourist villages through social media.

Characteristics of crises resilient organizations in the hospitality and tourism industry

PurposeCOVID-19, like many previous crises, proved once more that some hospitality and tourism organizations are more crises resilient than others. Despite increasing frequency and magnitude of crises, little is known about the features of crises resilient organizations and mitigation strategies they adopt. If the characteristics of such resiliency are identified, those strengths might be targeted. Hence, the purpose of this study is to identify characteristics of crises resilient organizations by analyzing the interface between different organizational characteristics, recovery strategies they adopted and impacts of COVID-19 on individual hospitality and tourism organizations.Design/methodology/approachA global sample of 202 respondents from 20 countries and four continents, representing different sectors of the hospitality and tourism industry, participated in the survey. Descriptive analysis and cluster analysis were used to rank the items and group hospitality and tourism organizations based on their crises resiliency.FindingsService quality, loyal customers, branding, high paid in capital, domestic market base, hygiene and safety image, information and communication technology adoption, product and market diversification and restructuring debts emerged as major characteristics and strategies of crises resilient organizations. Using cluster analysis, four different groups of organizations were identified. Based on the impacts of COVID-19 on these organizations, Cluster-1 emerged as significantly more crises resilient, whereas Cluster-4 organizations were significantly more vulnerable to crises. Their characteristics and mitigation strategies they adopted were discussed.Research limitations/implicationsThe paper not only identified features of crises resilient organizations and successful mitigation strategies but also measured their impact on various performance indicators. Future studies might use characteristics, mitigation strategies and performance indicators identified in this study.Practical implicationsBased on the findings, tourism organizations would focus on strengthening characteristics and implementing strategies that make crises resilient organizations. Public bodies and destination management would also set their decision criteria based on these findings to create a more resilient tourism industry.Originality/valueThis research not only identifies how hospitality and tourism organizations are affected by COVID-19 but also how these impacts change based on different organizational characteristics and strategies. Understanding which organizational characteristics affect the crises vulnerability of hospitality and tourism organizations might inform risk and crises management literature and structural design elements in tourism businesses, hence offer both theoretical and practical implications.

СРАВНИТЕЛЬНЫЙ АНАЛИЗ МЕТОДОВ ВЕКТОРИЗАЦИИ ТЕКСТОВЫХ ДАННЫХ БОЛЬШОЙ РАЗМЕРНОСТИ

The presented publication is devoted to an overview of the problem of presenting textual informationfor the subsequent implementation of cluster analysis in the framework of processingand managing high-dimensional information. Modern requirements for analytical, search andrecommendation information systems demonstrate the weak formation of a holistic solution thatcan provide a sufficient level of speed and quality of the results obtained within the framework ofthe current information technology market. The search for a solution to the presented problementails the need to conduct an objective analysis of existing solutions for representing textual informationin vector space, in order to form a holistic view of the advantages and disadvantages ofthe analyzed approaches, as well as the formation of criteria that allow one to implement theirown approach, devoid of identified weaknesses. The presented work is analytical, and allows youto get an idea of the current state and elaboration of the identified problem within a limited subjectarea. Clustering of text data is the automatic formation of subsets, the elements of which are instancesof documents of some researched, unstructured sample of a fixed dimension. This processcan be classified as unsupervised learning, which implies the absence of an expert who personallyassigns class indices to the original sample of documents. However, the implementation of clusteranalysis of text data without any pre-processing is impossible. To do this, it is necessary to ensurestandardization and reduction of input data to a single format and form. Within the framework ofthis stage of the implementation of cluster analysis, the presented publication discusses methodsfor preprocessing text data. The novelty of the presented publication lies in the formation of thetheoretical basis of the main methods of text data vectorization, by systematizing and objectifyingthe proposed assumptions, by conducting a series of experimental studies. The main difference ofthis work from the already published scientific works is the systematization and analysis of modernsolutions, as well as the hypotheses about the relevance and effectiveness of our own hybridizedapproach designed for text data vectorization.

Teaching Computing to Middle and High School Students from a Low Socio-Economic Status Background: A Systematic Literature Review

Information technology (IT) is transforming the world. Therefore, exposing students to computing at an early age is important. And, although computing is being introduced into schools, students from a low socio-economic status background still do not have such an opportunity. Furthermore, existing computing programs may need to be adjusted in accordance to the specific characteristics of these students in order to help them to achieve the learning goals. Aiming at bringing computing education to all middle and high-school students, we performed a systematic literature review, in order to analyze the content, pedagogy, technology, as well as the main findings of instructional units that teach computing in this context. First results show that these students are able to learn computing, including concepts ranging from algorithms and programming languages to artificial intelligence. Difficulties are mainly linked to the lack of infrastructure and the lack of pre-existing knowledge in using IT as well as creating computing artifacts. Solutions include centralized teaching in assistive centers as well as a stronger emphasis on unplugged strategies. However, there seems to be a lack of more research on teaching computing to students from a low socio-economic status background, unlocking their potential as well to foster their participation in an increasing IT market.

IT-индустрия как фактор развития креативной экономики Республики Крым

The creative economy is built on the IT industry, science, innovation, the Internet as a new technological infrastructure for the economy, knowledge, and intellectual activity. In the Russian Federation, creative industries are rapidly developing. Our country has accumulated vast experience in the innovative transformation of territorial entities, taking into account the existing cultural resource. This direction is followed not only by the regions of post-industrial development but also by other federal entities of the Russian Federation, including the Republic of Crimea. The creative industries are shaped not only by basic activities that form their core but by related activities that have a huge impact on them or are directly dependent on creative industries. One of the key objectives of the Strategy for Social and Economic Development of the Region Until 2030, as part of the creation of a new cultural space, is the formation of creative industry cluster. Currently, in the Republic of Crimea, IT industry products became less accessible due to the sanctions imposed not only against the Russian Federation but also against the region. Another problem hindering the development of the information technology market is insufficient information for population about the possibility of obtaining digital services, what determines the specific features of consumer behavior in the IT technologies environment. Attempts to introduce and spread new digital technologies are not always successful. For example, digital literacy of the population, provision of ICT organizations, creative environment also determine the existing differences. The development of the IT industry in the Republic of Crimea will help level the negative effects of the economic crisis both at the federal and regional levels, creating a multiplier effect on a number of dependent industries.

Experiences with information blocking in the United States: a national survey of hospitals.

The 21st Century Cures Act Final Rule's information blocking provisions, which prohibited practices likely to interfere with, prevent, or materially discourage access, exchange, or use of electronic health information (EHI), began to apply to a limited set of data elements in April 2021 and expanded to all EHI in October 2022. We sought to describe hospital leaders' perceptions of the prevalence of practices that may constitute information blocking, by actor and hospital characteristics, following the rule's applicability date. Cross-sectional analysis of a national survey of hospitals fielded in 2021. The analytic sample included 2092 nonfederal acute care hospitals in the United States. We present descriptive statistics on the perception of the prevalence of information blocking and results of multivariate regression models examining the association between hospital, health information technology (IT) developer and market characteristics and the perception of information blocking. Overall, 42% of hospitals reported observing some behavior they perceived to be information blocking. Thirty-six percent of responding hospitals perceived that healthcare providers either sometimes or often engaged in practices that may constitute information blocking, while 17% and 19% perceived that health IT developers (such as EHR developers) and State, regional and/or local health information exchanges did the same, respectively. Prevalence varied by health IT developer market share, hospital for-profit status, and health system market share. These results support the value of efforts to further reduce friction in the exchange of EHI and support the need for continued observation to provide a sense of the prevalence of information blocking practices and for education and awareness of information blocking regulations.

Components and Psychological Characteristics of Soft Skills

The development of soft skills is in the focus of attention of the world's largest companies and organizations, in particular, the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD), the World Economic Forum (WEF). This is due to the fact that geopolitical and technological trends determine the skills that future specialists need to meet the requirements of the labor market. In the conditions of technological development of a dynamically developing modern society, radical changes in world education, expressed in the formation of a single educational space, the needs of the subjects of education have strengthened the requirements for higher education. As part of this process, new educational standards, a new system for assessing the quality of education are being introduced, modules of educational programs integrated with production are being developed. This, in turn, contributes to the search for the closest and optimal ways to form soft skills of graduates of higher educational institutions to real working conditions. Interdisciplinary direction plays a crucial role in almost all professional fields. The problem of the development of soft skills since the middle of the last century has been dealt with at various times by many scientists who consider and study the concept of soft skills in various aspects. This article, presented in this regard, substantiates the relevance of the formation of soft skills in future specialists. The definitions of the concepts of skill, soft skill, which have been studied and formulated in the fundamental research works of research scientists, are given. Classifications of scientists from far and near abroad by components of soft skills and their psychological component are systematized in the form of tables. As a result of the theoretical analysis, the authors identified the main components of soft skills, such as emotional intelligence, communication skills, critical thinking skills and leadership. The psychological features of the components of soft skills and their relationship are determined. The most important factors of the information and communication technologies (ICT) market are defined as technological development, continuous expansion of the ICT space, the need for a high level of soft skills. The importance of the formation of soft skills among graduates of higher educational institutions is shown.
