Neglected protection for persons with mental disabilities is the result of cultural, social, economic factors, as well as weak law enforcement policies that are pro-disabled. This makes persons with mental disabilities a marginal group who are often victims of abuse, violence, torture and inhumane treatment. The lack of attention to the implementation of the rights of persons with mental disabilities is a big question for the Indonesian government, the government's responsibility should be the implementation of fair legal regulations and the fulfillment of human rights. The rights that must guarantee and recognize the rights of persons with mental disabilities are given in accordance with those regulated by law. This research is normative research. The technique of collecting legal materials is carried out by means of a literature study. The approach used is a statutory approach (statute approach) and a conceptual approach (conceptual approach). This study concludes that protection for persons with mental disabilities has not been implemented optimally. There is still discrimination and negative stigma attached to persons with mental disabilities.

Re-imagining the Spatial and Temporal: A Detailed Study of the Narrative Structure of The Shadow Lines

In The Shadow Lines (1988), Amitav Ghosh, by employing the technique of a non-linear memory narrative, challenges and questions the dehumanised constructs of society and critically examines the concept of borders and nation. This research paper provides a detailed study of the innovative and fluid narrative created by Amitav Ghosh in which he re-imagines the spatial and temporal boundaries with the help of memory montages. In this novel the narrator traverses physically and psychologically over a span of forty years and analyses the heterotopic spaces and pathological effect of violence, partition and war on the marginal groups which suffer from oppression, displacement, exploitation and loss of language and culture.

Resetting the forestry commons: Constitutionality as a conflict resolution strategy in African woodlands

This paper comparatively analyses three case studies in Mali, Senegal and Tanzania regarding common property institutions for forest commons and their transformations during colonial and post-colonial times. Then common pool resource management was fragmented and common property was increasingly turned into state and private property and local control over resources was removed. This led to grabbing processes by foreign investors and conflicts between local and outside users of forest resources and degradation of these resources. The paper further outlines the reactions to these processes. It also highlights the neglect of the gender and marginal groups dimensions in studies of constitutionality (developing a sense of local ownership in the bottom-up institution crafting processes for the governance of the commons). In the cases of Mali and Senegal these constitutionality processes were for managing the forest resources. This led to a mitigation of existing resource conflicts. In Tanzania, out of a land-use conflict, local people had managed to create a kind of an informal convention with a British investor about land use in the valleys, which however remains fragile. The conflict arose because women had largely been left out in land deal negotiations and institution-building about the acquired land, as well as were confronted with institution-shopping by the investor and from below by fellow community- and family-men. This impacted heavily on their workload and hampered their abilities to fulfil their care work. Thus, this paper fills the gap on gender (and more differentiated – intersectionality, and generally the involvement of marginal groups) in the constitutionality process to support the “resetting of the forest commons”. These have been neglected factors that need to be addressed for successful forest resources management and governance.

Cholesteatoma in chronic otitis media secondary to pars tensa perforation

Background Acquired cholesteatoma secondary to pars tensa perforation was rare in clinic. Objectives In this study, we explored factors related to acquired cholesteatoma in chronic otitis media patients with pars tensa perforation. Material and Methods 262 adults (296 ears) with pars tensa perforation were divided into four groups: anterior perforation group, posterior perforation group, central perforation group, and marginal perforation group. Analysis was carried out in terms of cholesteatoma formation, adhesion of perforation edges, mastoid pneumatization, and the function of eustachian tube. Results Cholesteatoma was found in 34% (18 in 53 ears) in posterior perforation group, 14.3% (14 in 98 ears) in marginal perforation group, and 2.5% (2 in 80 ears) in anterior perforation group. For subjects with adhesion in perforation edges, cholesteatoma was approved in 94% of posterior perforation, 42% of marginal perforation and 25% of anterior perforation groups. The adhesion in perforation edges and function of eustachian tube instead of mastoid pneumatization were statistically significant for cholesteatoma formation. Conclusions and Significance Acquired cholesteatoma was mostly found in patients with posterior and marginal perforation, followed by anterior perforation. Adhesion of perforation edges was another risk factor for cholesteatoma formation. Eustachian tube also functioned by influencing the ventilation of middle ear.

Classification of Rural Relative Poverty Groups and Measurement of the Influence of Land Elements: A Questionnaire-Based Analysis of 23 Poor Counties in China

In 2021, China achieved an all-round victory in the fight against poverty and completed the task of eliminating absolute poverty. However, relative poverty will still exist for a long time. According to the degree of relative poverty, this paper divided rural population into four groups, incapability group, vulnerable group, marginal group and non-relative poverty group, to further explore the differences in specific land elements requirements among different groups. Firstly, ten factors were selected as evaluation indexes, including per capita household income, education level, poverty registration situation, employment situation, critical disease situation, natural disaster frequency situation, etc. By extracting 100 relative poverty group evaluation units as samples, the authors established a decision tree for rural relative poverty group evaluation based on an improved ID3 algorithm. Secondly, we quantified the effect of different land elements. Considering the resource, asset and capital function of land, this paper constructed an ordered logistic model with four groups as classification variables. The result showed that: (1) a better condition of land resource endowment leads to a lower degree of rural relative poverty; however, over-reliance on land increases the risk of relative poverty; (2) except for cultivation income and land transfer income, asset value and capital value of rural land are not evident. Suggestions are put forward: use land elements to build a long-term mechanism for rural relative poverty alleviation; improve the quantity, quality and spatial endowment of rural land resources; optimize the rural land property rights and land acquisition system; realize the market-based mechanism for rural land transfer; and implement the policy of Increase and Decrease Connection of Urban and Rural Construction Land.

ntroduction: Stereotypes and pre judice are human traits. It seems that they accompanied humanity since its beginning when people saw or meet somebody, and had to judge him as an enemy or as a friend. In this view, these traits are part of the evolution of human kind, hence, they should be important and valued. Is it? As we will show these traits may destroy the life not only of a person, but those of communities that are different in their origin, nationality, gender, skin color and age. People may be labelled as dangerous to society in accordance to their born status, and they may nd themselves at the lowest strata of their society or culture (Adams -Quackenbush et al. 2019; Barlow & Barlow, 2002; Deskins et. Al. 2017; Park & Wittenbrink, 2002; Plous, 2003). Our article addresses stereotypes and pre judice as an attitude, conscious or unconscious, among the public in relation to forest arsons in Israel. These attitudes are common among the police, and the judicial system. The personal of these systems are members of the culture, inuence by it and inuence back on it. In other words these personal are mirror of the attitudes which are common in the society they serve and inuence this society until there is a loop of attitudes between culture, society and the judicial system. Many studies found out that police ofcers, prosecutors and even judges use the notion of proling to mark certain marginal groups as more dangerous to society. This so-called proling justies arrests, prosecutes, and more severe punishment in the name of society's security. As a result, the mass media and the public accept this proling and develop stereotypes and prejudgment against these groups. In many countries these traits address against immigrants, women, young people, black skin color and other characteristics, which make them more vulnerable to media hype, being arrest more easily and punish more severely. As a result, they become more exposed to negative labels and pre judice. Our article addresses these issues in relation to arson in Israel and show how stereotypes and pre judice among the public make the media and the public to believe that and to blame Arabs in eco terrorism of forest arsons, while the data shows that only 2% of the arsons are motives by national ideology (i.e., Terror).

Perception of political influence within the general population of the United Kingdom

AbstractWhen reflecting upon politics, people express judgements about the political influence exerted by different institutions. However, the nature of these judgements remains to be studied by scholars. The paper explores this with a focus on the United Kingdom. Online, participants recruited from the general population judged the political influence of a variety of institutions such as parties, media and economic powers. Political institutions (e.g., the Conservative Party) were attributed the highest influence, followed by economic powers (e.g., banks), the media (e.g., BBC) and by marginal groups (e.g., laypeople without political expertise). Variability in judgement was explained by two factors: one capturing a tension between marginal groups and economic powers and the second between the media and political institutions. Ideology modulated the latter factor, with participants opposing tradition in politics attributing higher influence to political institutions over the media. These observations shed light on an important, yet poorly known, aspect of political thinking, namely, the perception of political influence.

WHAT MAKES PEOPLE BIND TOGETHER?’: SOCIAL COHESION FACTORS IN THE PEOPLE OF PEKANBARU TOWARDS MADANI CIVILIZATION

Contradict to Islamic and Malay teachings, the people of Pekanbaru face a susceptibility to become a careless society. A consumerism style is adapted massively by people of Pekanbaru, making it harder for the marginal group to live by means. Not to mention the COVID-19 pandemic that caused the economy disruption that majorly affect the marginal group. This social phenomenon that is currently rising is the segregation in society, starting from the scope of work, social, and even education. By this phenomenon, the “Pekanbaru Kota Madani” slogan is not reflected in people of Pekanbaru. Social cohesion is one of the approaches in social psychology that can lead Pekanbaru people to become Madani individuals. This research aims to investigate and explore the factors that can restore the social cohesion of the people of Riau–Pekanbaru in particular–so that society is no longer divided or segregated in the social. A phenomenological study conducted in this research to investigate the forms of social cohesion in Pekanbaru society. It was found to be divided into three aspects: religiosity, activity, and familiarity. With the strengthening of these three aspects, it is considerably good that the issue of social conflict in society in the scope of work, social and education can transform into social cohesion.

Doing critical dialogic accounting and accountability research: an analytical framework and case illustration

PurposeTo present an analytical framework for conducting critical dialogic accounting and accountability-based participatory action research to further democratisation, social change and empowering marginalised groups, and to reflect on its application in a Bangladeshi nongovernmental organisation's microfinance program.Design/methodology/approachThe framework, synthesising prior CDAA theorising and agonistic-inspired action research, is described, followed by a discussion of the methodological challenges when applying this during a ten-year, ongoing intervention seeking greater voice for poor, female borrowers.FindingsSix methodological issues emerged: investigating contested issues rather than organisation-centric research; identifying and engaging divergent discourses; engaging marginalised groups, activists and/or dominant powerholders; addressing power and power relations; building alliances for change; and evaluating and disseminating results. The authors discuss these issues and how the participatory action research methods and analytical tools used evolved in response to emergent challenges, and key lessons learned in a study of microfinance and women's empowerment.Originality/valueThe paper addresses calls within and beyond accounting to develop critical, engaged and change-oriented scholarship adopting an agonistic research methodology. It uses a novel critical dialogic accounting and accountability-based participatory action research approach. The reflexive examination of its application engaging NGOs, social activists, and poor women to challenge dominant discourses and practices, and build alliances for change, explores issues encountered. The paper concludes with reflective questions to aid researchers interested in undertaking similar studies in other contentious, power-laden areas concerning marginalised groups.

Since the 30s of the XX-th century. in Bolivia, there has been the formation of political forces that will become dominant in Bolivian politics throughout the XX-th century. we are talking about revolutionary nationalism, Indeanism, Marxism and right-wing radicalism of the Spanish type, represented by the Bolivian Socialist Falange party. This article is devoted to the study of the ideology and political practice of the Falange. A feature of the Bolivian phalanx was an attempt to apply right-wing radical views of the philo-fascist type in a country where the Indian population predominated, opposing hispanism and clericalism to Indian nationalism, painted in nationalist and anti-imperialist tones. In addition to putschist political practices, violence and anti-communism, the Bolivian phalanx was distinguished by anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist aspirations, building its own right-wing radical social utopia. This party played an important role in Bolivian politics in the 40-60s of the twentieth century, and then became the basis of both ultra-right marginal groups and part of the «new left» that arose in Bolivia in the 70-80s.

Voices of the Indigenous Marginalized Community in Bina Thing’s Yambunera

The article studies the voices of the indigenous marginalized community in Bina Thing’s Yambunera from a Subaltern perspective. Yambunera has included thirteen stories and this article tries to explore the voice of the indigenous marginalized people and their representations only in six stories. Bina Thing attempts to bring into the mainstream literature the cultural dissimilarities prevalent in Nepali society. Characters portrayed in Yambunera are marginalized and silenced because of dominant culture, cultural dominance, poverty and illiteracy. The article intends to argue the ethnic identity issues, marginalization, discriminatory social practices and subordination to the rulers in the selected text. Thus, the study critiques the text from the critical perspectives of Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak and J. Maggio. Basically, Subaltern Studies explores the voices of the marginal groups in society and examines how the literary discourse represents these voices. Spivak argues that class consciousness is self-alienating the social groups from the others within a domain of exploitation and domination. The article tries to examine issues such as injustice, prejudice, protest, and resistance in the text and intends to shed light on the voices of the indigenous women. Yambunera focuses on the plights of the Tamangs living in Yambu who are perceived as being uncultured, savage and uneducated and, above all, they are silenced. The findings of the discussion indicate injustice, prejudice, protest and resistance in the case of the fictionalized characters in Yambunera. Furthermore, the study reflects the search for cultural identity and the marginalized people’s efforts to stand up for the voices. The present article encourages a good understanding of the marginalized voices in Nepali literature.

Expanding the heart donor pool: Can left ventricular assist devices substitute for marginal donor heart allografts?

BackgroundGenerally, heart transplantation with marginal donor allografts is reserved for a subset of high-risk patients. However, given the improved survival rates for patients on left ventricular assist devices, it is worth analyzing if they could potentially substitute for marginal donor allografts. This study aimed to compare survival outcomes of waitlisted patients with left ventricular assist devices who did not undergo heart transplantation to those who underwent heart transplantation with marginal allografts. MethodsThis was a retrospective cohort study of adults (≥18 years) listed for heart transplantation between 2010 and 2022 in the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network database. A previously validated risk score was used to define marginal donor organs. The primary outcome was death after transplantation or on the waitlist, as appropriate. ResultsOf 5,713 patients with left ventricular assist devices, 4,683 (82%) comprised the left ventricular assist devices group and 1,030 (18%) the marginal group. The marginal cohort was older (57 [49–64] vs 55 [45–62] years, P < .001), similarly female (26 vs 24%, P = .16), and less often White (51 vs 60%, P < .001). Relative to the left ventricular assist devices group, the marginal group demonstrated higher 5-year survival from 2010 to 2014 (81 vs 43%, P < .001) and from 2015 to 2019 (77 vs 66%, P < .001). After adjustment, marginal patients demonstrated a significantly reduced hazard of 5-year mortality for those listed from 2010 to 2014 (hazard ratio 0.25, confidence interval 0.20–0.31; P < .001) and from 2015 to 2019 (hazard ratio 0.46, confidence interval 0.37–0.57; P < .001). ConclusionOur study validates the superiority of transplantation relative to left ventricular assist devices but also underscores the survival benefit of heart transplantation with marginal donor allografts, even in high-risk patients.

The Potential for Healthy, Sustainable, and Equitable Transport Systems in Africa and the Caribbean: A Mixed-Methods Systematic Review and Meta-Study

The Human Mobility Transition model describes shifts in mobility dynamics and transport systems. The aspirational stage, ‘human urbanism’, is characterised by high active travel, universal public transport, low private vehicle use and equitable access to transport. We explored factors associated with travel behaviour in Africa and the Caribbean, investigating the potential to realise ‘human urbanism’ in this context. We conducted a mixed-methods systematic review of ten databases and grey literature for articles published between January 2008 and February 2019. We appraised study quality using Critical Appraisal Skills Programme checklists. We narratively synthesized qualitative and quantitative data, using meta-study principles to integrate the findings. We identified 39,404 studies through database searching, mining reviews, reference screening, and topic experts’ consultation. We included 129 studies (78 quantitative, 28 mixed-methods, 23 qualitative) and 33 grey literature documents. In marginalised groups, including the poor, people living rurally or peripheral to cities, women and girls, and the elderly, transport was poorly accessible, travel was characterised by high levels of walking and paratransit (informal public transport) use, and low private vehicle use. Poorly controlled urban growth (density) and sprawl (expansion), with associated informality, was a salient aspect of this context, resulting in long travel distances and the necessity of motorised transportation. There were existing population-level assets in relation to ‘human urbanism’ (high levels of active travel, good paratransit coverage, low private vehicle use) as well as core challenges (urban sprawl and informality, socioeconomic and gendered barriers to travel, poor transport accessibility). Ineffective mobility systems were a product of uncoordinated urban planning, unregulated land use and subsequent land use conflict. To realise ‘human urbanism’, integrated planning policies recognising the linkages between health, transport and equity are needed. A shift in priority from economic growth to a focus on broader population needs and the rights and wellbeing of ordinary people is required. Policymakers should focus attention on transport accessibility for the most vulnerable.

Homestead Vegetable Production: A Means Of Livelihood and Nutritional Security for Resource Poor Households in Bangladesh

Justifiable, nutritious and safe food productions are main challenges for food safety which reduce starvation, meets dietary needs and food preferences for a healthy life. Home gardens can play a significant role in providing better food supply and diversity of food. Studies on niche-based homestead gardening were carried out at FSRD site Atia, Tangail under On-Farm Research Division of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute during 2018-19 and 2019-20 to utilize the homestead resources for producing vegetables and fruits and to enhance nutritional security for the farm families. A total of 12 households were selected from marginal (0.021–0.20 ha), small (0.21–1.0 ha) and medium (1.0- 3.0) farmer groups and seven production niches were intervened for year-round production following the Palima model. Results revealed that homestead area could be capable of harvesting sufficient and diversified vegetables round the year by utilizing all possible homestead nieches. After intervention, the number of vegetables was produced by medium farmers (630 kg/year) followed by small (510 kg/year) and marginal (408 kg/year) farmers. Yearly vegetable requirements of farmers were largely met by homestead garden with a supply between 30-58 kg/head/year compared with bench mark level of 5-12 kg/head/year. Results suggested that farmers consumed lion share of their products that could meet up nutrition. Utilization of farm resources available in the farm that increased nutritional security, income and improved livelihoods as well. The up scaling of the production model based on ecosystem in different poverty-stricken regions of Bangladesh is recommended to attain food security and lessening malnutrition.&#x0D; Bangladesh J. Brokerage, power and gender equity: How empowerment‐focused civil society organisations bolster women's influence in rural Indonesia

AbstractThis article explores how empowerment‐focused Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) traverse scales and perform brokerage functions in helping rural women from marginal groups to connect to and influence powerholders in Indonesia. It identifies three brokerage mechanisms activated by these CSOs: brokering marginal groups' power bases through strengthening organising structures and sources of knowledge/resources; brokering spaces for women's influence on powerholders; and brokering networks with other women and authoritative actors to build supporting coalitions. The article also illustrates that contexts shape how CSO interventions affect change: heavy, resource‐intensive ‘thick’ brokerage strategies were important in deeply patriarchal contexts, whereas ‘thin’ brokerage strategies had some effects in places already more conducive to improving gender equity.

Influence of size and shape of the auricular surfaces on subchondral bone density distribution in the sacroiliac joint.

The sacroiliac auricular surface has a variable morphology and size. The impact of such variations on subchondral mineralization distribution has not been investigated. Sixty-nine datasets were subjected to CT-osteoabsorptiometry for the qualitative visualization of chronic loading conditions of the subchondral bone plate using color-mapped densitograms based on Hounsfield Units in CT. Auricular surface morphologies were classified into three types based on posterior angle size: Type 1: >160°, Type 2: 130-160° and Type 3: <130°. Auricular surface size was categorized based on the mean value (15.4cm2 ) separating the group into 'small' and 'large' joint surfaces. Subchondral bone density patterns were qualitatively classified into four color patterns: two marginal patterns (M1 and M2) and two non-marginal patterns (N1 and N2) and each iliac and sacral surface was subsequently categorized. 'Marginal' meant that 60-70% of the surface was less mineralized compared with the highly dense regions and vice versa for the 'non-marginal' patterns. M1 had anterior border mineralization and M2 had mineralization scattered around the borders. N1 had mineralization spread over the whole superior region, N2 had mineralization spread over the superior and anterior regions. Auricular surface area averaged 15.4± 3.6 cm2 , with a tendency for males to have larger joint surfaces. Type 2 was the most common (75%) and type 3 the least common morphology (9%). M1 was the most common pattern (62% of surfaces) by sex (males 60%, females 64%) with the anterior border as the densest region in all three morphologies. Sacra have a majority of surfaces with patterns from the marginal group (98%). Ilia have mineralization concentrated at the anterior border (patterns M1 and N2 combined: 83%). Load distribution differences related to auricular surface morphology seems to have little effect on long-term stress-related bone adaptation visualized with CT-osteoabsorptiometry. Higher iliac side mineralization was observed in larger joint surfaces and age-related morphomechanical size alterations were seen in males.

Hepatitis C Virus Reinfection in a Real-World Cohort of Homeless-Experienced Individuals in Boston.

People experiencing homelessness are disproportionately affected by hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection compared with housed populations. Surveillance for HCV reinfection after successful treatment is a critical step in the care cascade, but limited data on reinfection are available among this highly marginalized group. This study assessed posttreatment reinfection risk in a real-world cohort of homeless-experienced individuals in Boston. Individuals receiving HCV direct-acting antiviral treatment through Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program during 2014-2020 with posttreatment follow-up assessment were included. Reinfection was identified based on recurrent HCV RNA at 12 weeks posttreatment with HCV genotype switch or any recurrent HCV RNA following sustain virologic response. A total of 535 individuals were included (81% male, median age 49 years, 70% unstably housed or homeless at treatment initiation). Seventy-four HCV reinfections were detected, including 5 second reinfections. HCV reinfection rate was 12.0/100 person-years (95% confidence interval [CI]: 9.5-15.1) overall, 18.9/100 person-years (95% CI: 13.3-26.7) among individuals with unstable housing and 14.6/100 person-years (95% CI: 10.0-21.3) among those experiencing homelessness. In adjusted analysis, experiencing homelessness (vs stable housing, adjusted hazard ratio, 2.14; 95% CI: 1.09-4.20; P = .026) and drug use within 6 months before treatment (adjusted hazard ratio, 5.23; 95% CI: 2.25-12.13; P < .001) were associated with increased reinfection risk. We found high HCV reinfection rates in a homeless-experienced population, with increased risk among those homeless at treatment. Tailored strategies to address the individual and systems factors impacting marginalized populations are required to prevent HCV reinfection and to enhance engagement in posttreatment HCV care.

The Effect of Ideal/Standard Donor and Marginal Donor Use on Primary Graft Dysfunction After Lung Transplantation in Turkey.

The transplantation waiting list is getting longer day by day with the spread of lung transplantation and awareness of it. However, the donor pool cannot keep up with this rate. Therefore, nonstandard (marginal) donors are widely used. By studying the lung donors presented at our center, we aimed to raise awareness of the donor shortage and compare clinical outcomes in recipients with standard and marginal donors. The data from recipients and donors of lung transplants performed at our center between March 2013 and November 2022 were retrospectively reviewed and recorded. Transplants with ideal and standard donors were classified as group 1, and those with marginal donors were classified as group 2. Primary graft dysfunction rates, intensive care unit, and hospital stay days were compared. Eighty-nine lung transplants were performed. A total of 46 recipients were in group 1 and 43 were in group 2. There were no differences between groups in the development of stage 3 primary graft dysfunction. However, a significant difference was found in the marginal group for developing any stage primary graft dysfunction. Donors were mostly from the western and southern regions of the country and from the education and research hospitals. Because of the donor shortage in lung transplantation, transplant teams tend to use marginal donors. Stimulating and supportive education for healthcare professionals to recognize brain death and public education to raise awareness about organ donation are necessary to spread organ donation throughout the country. Although our results using marginal donors are similar with the standard group, each recipient and donor should be assessed individually.

Recommendations to Improve the Nature and Extent of Relationships Among Organizations Within a Network to Enhance Supports for Transgender Survivors of Sexual Assault.

To enhance the provision of comprehensive supports to transgender (trans) survivors of sexual assault, a structurally marginalized group with complex care needs, we developed an intersectoral network of trans-positive health care and community organizations in Ontario, Canada. As a baseline evaluation of the network, we conducted a social network analysis to determine the extent and nature of collaboration, communication, and connection among members. Relational data (eg, activities of collaboration) were collected from June to July 2021, and analyzed using a validated survey tool, Program to Analyze, Record, and Track Networks to Enhance Relationships (PARTNER). We shared findings in a virtual consultation session with key stakeholders and facilitated discussion to generate action items. Consultation data were synthesized into 12 themes through conventional content analysis. An intersectoral network in Ontario, Canada. Of the 119 representatives of trans-positive health care and community organizations invited to participate in this study, 78 (65.5%) completed the survey. Almost all (97.5%) invited organizations were listed as collaborators, representing 378 unique relationships. The network achieved a value score of 70.4% and trust score of 83.4%. The most prominent themes were "Communication and knowledge exchange channels," "Clearer roles and contributions," "Indicators of success," and "Client voices at the centre." As key antecedents of network success, high value and trust indicate that network member organizations are well positioned to further foster knowledge sharing, define their roles and contributions, prioritize the integration of trans voices in all activities, and, ultimately, achieve common goals with clearly defined outcomes. There is great potential to optimize network functioning and advance the network's mission to improve services for trans survivors by mobilizing these findings into recommendations.
