Mistakes in container stock management can have a devastating impact on the company, such as damage to goods, additional costs, and a tarnished reputation. To improve container loading and unloading services, companies need to improve communication, employee training, truck checks, forklift maintenance, and collaboration with service users. The process of shipping goods through the port involves various stages and parties such as consignees, suppliers, shippers, and field executives. The results of the study can be found that the process of container loading and unloading services in expedition companies experiences various obstacles, such as late truck drivers, delays in sending documents, shortage of containers, damage to container moving equipment at the depot, delays in the start of working hours, and too many containers that do not comply with the specifications by the exporter.

The Urgency of Enforcing Criminal Sanctions Against Perpetrators Waste Incineration

The global issue of various adverse impacts and dangerous risks due to mistakes in waste management is intensively echoed as a shared responsibility to be resolved. As the holder of the G20 presidency in 2022, Indonesia even raised the issue of sustainable waste management in the G20 forum. Therefore, legal research is important to study and provide solutions to these problems from the legal aspect, so that it is useful, not only at the regional and national levels, but also for the sustainability of life in all parts of the world. The purpose of this study is to find out the urgency of enforcing criminal sanctions listed in local regulations against waste incinerators in Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, reviewed from the relative theory as a criminal purpose. This research is a normative legal research, with a legislative approach and a theoretical approach. Based on the results of the research, there are two reasons for the urgency of enforcing criminal sanctions against the large number of waste incinerators in Kubu Raya Regency. First, it is reviewed from a general precaution in relative theory, which is to prevent everyone from becoming a perpetrator of waste burning. Second, it is reviewed from a special provision in relative theory, which is to prevent the perpetrators of burning waste who have been convicted from repeating their actions. Through criminal law enforcement, if general and special prevention are carried out optimally, it is hoped that the purpose of the regional regulation can be realized, namely to reduce the danger posed by sarnpah, especially burned waste, protect and improve the quality of public health and the environment, and change community behavior in waste management.

Chronic musculoskeletal low back pain: mistakes in patient management and optimization issues

We present a clinical observation of a patient with chronic musculoskeletal low back pain (CMLBP), one of the most common conditions in neurological practice. Common mistakes in the management of such patients are highlighted. The patient had previously been incorrectly diagnosed with "osteochondrosis of the spine", the back pain was by mistake associated with "age-related" organic, degenerative-dystrophic changes in the spine, and only passive treatment methods were used in the treatment — various medications, massages, physiotherapy. The factors for the development and chronification of back pain were not evaluated or corrected, therapeutic exercises were not prescribed, the rules of ergonomics and physical activity during the day were not discussed, i.e. methods that have proven to be effective and are recommended for the treatment of CMLBP. Due to an inappropriate management, the patient developed misconceptions about the disease, catastrophizing the pain and incorrect and ineffective strategies for coping with the pain, which perpetuated the chronic course of the back pain. At the Clinic for Nervous Diseases at Sechenov University, the patient was offered a comprehensive treatment approach that included educational counselling, kinesiotherapy and pharmacotherapy. Based on the patient's medical and life history and the data of an objective examination, factors for the development and chronification of back pain were identified: long-term static postures at work at a computer, physical inactivity, increased body weight, neuro-orthopedic features (“flat back”), anxiety, catastrophizing of pain, pain behavior pattern. During the treatment process, all of the above factors were considered and corrected. Kinesiotherapy included therapeutic exercises, recommendations on ergonomics and daily activity, training in correct posture and kinesio-taping. The patient took dexketoprofen as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which is effective and relatively safe for patients with back pain. As a result of the complex treatment, the patient's pain syndrome regressed, daily activity increased and her emotional state improved; observation over 6 months showed a lasting positive effect, increasing working capacity.

The Mistakes that Teachers of English make in Managing their Classes in Almarj/ Libya

This study aimed at investigating the mistakes that teachers of English make in managing their classes from the teachers perspectives in Almarj /Libya .To achieve the study aim, the researcher used A thirty- eight item questionnaire to collect information about the mistakes of classroom management. The population of the study consisted of all secondary English language teachers in Al-marj the scholastic year 2021-2022 .The sample of the study was composed of (40) teachers. The major results of the study that the researcher found were the following: teachers do not use clear classroom rules, ignore bad behavior, and do not reinforce good behavior, or communicate with parents also they do not work in groups in order to avoid classroom management mistakes, not listen to students and try to solve their problems.

Save the Day: How the Dissemination of Tourism Crises Can Reinvigorate a Tourism Destination Image after the Seoul Halloween Crowd Crush

For tourism crises, social media present a double-edged sword: while disseminating the damage caused by tourism crises, it also has the potential to enhance the destination’s visibility and serve as a promotional tool. So, we cannot entirely negate the dissemination of tourism crises but rather proactively utilize its positive aspects to promote the sustainable development of the tourism destination image (TDI). Crisis events caused by management mistakes can be particularly damaging to people’s trust in destination management organizations (DMOs), and a crowd crush is a common and highly damaging type of tourism crisis caused by public management mistakes. Thus, the purpose of this study is to summarize the factors that may positively influence TDI in the dissemination of tourism crises such as the Seoul Halloween crowd crush. This study takes the Seoul Halloween crowd crush as an example and constructs a theoretical model based on information ecology theory. The relationships of variables in the model were analyzed through structural equation modeling. The results show that information transparency, subject authority, and social media interactivity positively influence an organic cognitive image. Social connection and social media interactivity positively influence this organic affective image. Finally, this study provides targeted recommendations for DMOs, which is important for the restoration of TDI after crises.

Labor unrest at Wistron Corporation India plant – What went wrong?

Learning outcomes After completion of this case study, students/managers will be able to analyze reasons for the labor unrest at Wistron Corporation’s Indian manufacturing plant; examine the implementation of labor regulations applicable to the employment of contract workers by Wistron Corporation; infer the problems associated with rapid expansion in the workforce; analyze the labor regulatory challenges faced by Wistron Corporation; and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Case overview/synopsis The focus of this case study was the crisis faced by Apple’s contract manufacturer – Wistron Corporation due to labor unrest, riots and violence in its production facility located near Bangalore in India. This case study discussed the CEO’s dilemma in resolving the crisis and regaining the confidence of stakeholders, namely, the contract employees, Apple Inc. and the State Government of Karnataka. To give the readers an overview of the crisis – this case discussed in detail the underlying reasons for the labor unrest such as a rapid increase in manpower, unilateral increase in working hours without extra pay, unjustified pay cuts, understaffed and underqualified human resources (HR) department, ill-equipped attendance and payroll system. It also gave an overview of mistakes in labor management that could be avoided by a manufacturing firm. The case also discussed the pressure faced by the Wistron CEO due to probation and a new business freeze by Apple Inc. This case study is suitable for understanding the complexities of labor laws and the legal complications that can arise when a corporation disregards local labor laws while operating in foreign countries. Proximal versus distal temporal orientation in an infinite game: lessons from the 1892 Homestead Massacre

PurposeWorking conditions, pay rates and the rights of workers to collectively negotiate have become important points of discussions in recent years, with support for unions and union applications rising to levels long unseen in America. In many instances, though, companies have responded aggressively. This is not the first time such a dynamic has played out in American business. This study aims to take a fresh look at one of America’s most prominent historical disputes between labor and ownership – the Homestead Massacre of 1892 – to glean lessons from that conflict that remain relevant to today’s business environment.Design/methodology/approachThis study adopts game theory and the principles of repeated interaction to assess how differing discount factors led to differences in time orientations between the workers and the Carnegie company. These differing time orientations affected both the strategy each side deployed in the negotiations and the payoffs received by the parties. Letters, contemporary news reports and histories of the events leading up to and immediately following the 1892 Homestead Massacre are qualitatively analyzed with a genealogical pragmatic approach.FindingsDifferences in temporal orientation between management and workers exacerbated the conflict, with the workers adopting a more cooperative stance and distal time orientation, while the Carnegie company negotiated with a proximal time orientation and played to “win” a game that, in fact, could not be fully won or lost given its infinitely repeating nature. The result was a short-term victory for the Carnegie company but with long-term negative consequences that highlight the suboptimal outcome the company achieved by playing a proximal strategy in an infinite game.Originality/valueAlthough the incident at Homestead is a well-studied labor dispute, many of the themes that preceded the incident have resurfaced in the modern work context. This work, by adopting game theory as an analytical framework, provides new insights into management mistakes that led to the labor conflict and lessons for what present-day managers can do to avoid exacerbating labor strife.

Drivers and collaborative governance of public health emergency response in the context of digital city.

With the frequent occurrence of public health events, the government inevitably makes many mistakes in emergency management. In modern emergency management, it is particularly important to promote the diversification of emergency management subjects and improve the government's emergency management ability. In order to make up for the deficiency of government's participation in public health emergency management, this paper analyzes the driving factors and driving effects of enterprises' participation in public health emergency response under the background of digital city. A fully explained structural model is used to analyze the relationship between the different drivers. In addition, the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of public health events were analyzed through spatial auto-correlation. On this basis, the government cooperative governance strategy is discussed. The results show that in the context of digital cities, there are 14 driving factors for enterprises to participate in public health emergency response. The most important factors are the company's own development needs, relative technical advantages and so on. The driving efficiency is mainly concentrated in three aspects: psychology, resources and structure. Public health events have periodicity in time distribution and regional differences in spatial distribution. The significance of this study is to help the government improve the emergency management ability from different angles.

Financial Satisfaction of Students in Serang City: The Importance of Financial Literacy and Financial Management Behavior

Financial difficulties are not always caused by the influence of income, but are also influenced by mistakes in financial management, such as not planning a financial plan, consumer living and various other problems. Especially students in the teenage age group, who still need the ability to manage their own finances to achieve financial satisfaction. Apart from that, students are also a group that has a big impact on the economy. There is a research gap which suggests that financial literacy has a significant effect on financial satisfaction and vice versa. Therefore, there is a need for mediating variables to increase financial satisfaction significantly. So, researchers want to conduct research with the aim of finding out the effect of financial literacy on financial satisfaction, by considering financial management behavior as an intervening variable. This is to find out the extent to which a person's level of financial literacy influences their financial management behavior, and whether this financial management behavior plays a role in linking financial literacy with financial satisfaction. Based on the discussion and hypothesis testing using the partial least squares (PLS) analysis method, it can be concluded that financial literacy influences the financial management behavior of female students on campuses in the Serang city area, meaning that the better the financial literacy of a person or group, the better the behavior. managing one's finances. Financial literacy does not directly influence the financial satisfaction of female students in the city of Serang. This means that as a person's level of Financial Literacy increases, their Financial Management Behavior can improve. So, it is very important to mediate Financial Management Behavior on the Financial Satisfaction of female students in the city of Serang.

BotGo: Growing Pains

BotGo was started in 2007 by Ravi Panchal, an engineer, after he lost motivation to continue at a managerial role at his job. A hands-on technical person, Panchal was inspired to create an underwater tank-cleaning robot. He started BotGo by bootstrapping it with his savings and roped in his friends for key positions in the company. He also started workshops for robotics education in colleges in order to sustain the company; he called this initiative BotLearn. In 2009, BotGo was incubated and Panchal started franchises for BotLearn as part of his growth plans. This led to a crisis within the company, escalating to a point where Panchal was forced to consider options. This case highlights the importance of a product-to-market fit and examines the decision to franchise in view of the case facts. The case also points towards the mistakes in crisis management, with particular emphasis on channel management. Towards the end of the case, Panchal is faced with a dilemma on whether to continue with the franchises or close them down. The dilemma is further accentuated since Panchal's decision would ultimately affect the growth of BotGo as well as directly challenge his intention to franchise.

Research on the Product Quality Problem of Chinese Online Shopping Platform Enterprises -Based on Pinduoduo

This paper takes Pinduoduo, a famous e-commerce platform in China, as an example, analyzes the typical product quality problems of the platform, and obtains the method to improve the product quality of the e-commerce platform. The research method adopted in this paper is case analysis and hypothesis demonstration, using existing papers and financial information disclosed by enterprises to locate, analyze and solve the possible product quality problems of Pinduoduo. At present, the main problems of Pinduoduo are frequent quality management mistakes between the platform and suppliers, easy enterprise marketing methods to cause customer dissatisfaction, and improper internal management of enterprises. The above problems are common in China's e-commerce platforms. The main theory used in this paper is Deming's 14-point management principles. The conclusion is that the e-commerce platforms represented by Pinduoduo should stop taking the price as the only channel to choose suppliers, change their marketing strategies, and improve the internal management level of enterprises.

Global and regional models for identification of cooling technology in thermal power generation for water demand estimations in water-energy nexus studies

Water-energy nexus studies aim to connect the process of power generation with the corresponding water demand. The lack of information on the currently installed cooling systems at individual power plants is a challenge for the assessment of the water use on the power plant-level, which complicates decision-making in water management, especially in water-stressed regions. In this study, we investigate the spatial and temporal trends in cooling technology installations globally. Based on that, we propose a machine learning model for cooling technology identification on a regional and global level, which uses a combination of feature selection and classification algorithms. The global model demonstrates an average test set accuracy of 85.42%, which corresponds to only a minor underestimation of the actual global water footprint of 1.78% when the cooling technology and water footprint of individual power plant units is unknown. Apart from that, a special emphasis was placed on regions characterized by high and extremely high water stress, where mistakes in water policy planning and water management may lead to an unsustainable water use or even to an overexploitation of water resources. In these regions, the calculated test set accuracy was 80.83%, which is significantly larger than the average accuracy of a majority class model. The results and the method proposed in this study enable cooling system identification in individual power units using information available from other sources, such as the water stress score or seasonal freshwater availability in the region.

Defending Earth's terrestrial microbiome.

Microbial life represents the majority of Earth's biodiversity. Across disparate disciplines from medicine to forestry, scientists continue to discover how the microbiome drives essential, macro-scale processes in plants, animals and entire ecosystems. Yet, there is an emerging realization that Earth's microbial biodiversity is under threat. Here we advocate for the conservation and restoration of soil microbial life, as well as active incorporation of microbial biodiversity into managed food and forest landscapes, with an emphasis on soil fungi. We analyse 80 experiments to show that native soil microbiome restoration can accelerate plant biomass production by 64% on average, across ecosystems. Enormous potential also exists within managed landscapes, as agriculture and forestry are the dominant uses of land on Earth. Along with improving and stabilizing yields, enhancing microbial biodiversity in managed landscapes is a critical and underappreciated opportunity to build reservoirs, rather than deserts, of microbial life across our planet. As markets emerge to engineer the ecosystem microbiome, we can avert the mistakes of aboveground ecosystem management and avoid microbial monocultures of single high-performing microbial strains, which can exacerbate ecosystem vulnerability to pathogens and extreme events. Harnessing the planet's breadth of microbial life has the potential to transform ecosystem management, but it requires that we understand how to monitor and conserve the Earth's microbiome.

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease with a very high prevalence in several countries in the world. Inadequate TB treatment can cause tuberculosis bacterial resistance to OAT (Anti-Tuberculosis Medicine). The emergence ofresistance M. tuberculosis can be in the form of single drug resistance (DR-TB) or a number or all of the first-line OAT (Multidrug Resistance Tuberculosis). The purpose of this study was to determine drug resistance factors which are influenced by patient habits, medical history, drugs, and health services. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach method. There were 6 informants in this study who were two MDR-TB patients, two patient personal monitors, a doctor, and the person in charge of the tuberculosis section. The results showed that the patient had a smoking habit and had a previous history of tuberculosis. In terms of treatment, patients do not routinely take medicines while in health services, the puskesmas have run them well so that there are no mistakes in management. The conclusion of this study is that smoking habits, previous history of tuberculosis disease, and not routine treatment are factors that greatly influence the occurrence of resistance

FEATURES OF PUBLIC DEBT REGULATION IN GEORGIA: CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES AND MODERN CHALLENGES

The article addresses the issues of ensuring the exchange rate stability of GEL - the national currency of our country and effective management and regulation of public debt as well as attaches weight to the mechanisms for overcoming the challenges of economic development in the country and to the selection and use of flexible tools. The article highlights the efforts of the leaders of the government and the National Bank of the country in developing and implementing the optimal macroeconomic policies, as well as in maintaining monetary policy stability and achieving sustainable economic development. Furthermore, considerable attention is given to the GEL exchange rate not only against to major currencies - the USD or the euro - but also to the currencies of the other partner countries of Georgia. The article analyzes the dynamics of changes in the GEL exchange rate against the currencies of partner countries, based on the statistical data of the National Bank of Georgia. Factors influencing both effective nominal and real exchange rates as well as government domestic and external debt are also assessed at different time intervals. Thus, the purpose of this article is to identify the issues related to the management and regulation of public debt based on the analysis of the dynamics and structure of public debt of Georgia, as well as to study the factors that have a positive and negative effect on them. This article aims to identify the issues related to the management and regulation of public debt obligations, on the basis of public debt sustainability analysis. The article, on the basis of statistical data, analyzes the dynamics and structure of public debt in 2010-2020. The problematic issues in the financial and monetary system are also identified and their determinants are investigated. Recommendations have been developed to reduce the debt burden and overcome the negative consequences caused by them. Based on the analysis of the economic situation in Georgia and the dynamics of the exchange rate, the recommendations for stabilizing the exchange rate of the financial sector, effective management of public debt and achieving sustainable economic growth have been developed in this article. Subject and object of research. The subject of the article's research is to identify problems related to the fluctuation of the Georgian national currency exchange rate and public debt regulation. While the object of the article is monetary policy that have been developed and implemented by the National Bank of Georgia and the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Research methods. Relevant scientific literature as well as statistical data from the National Bank of Georgia, the Ministry of Finance and the National Statistics Office of Georgia were found at the initial stage of the research. In addition, the studies and articles by Georgian and foreign scholars on public debt issues and the materials of the International Monetary Fund were used. The scientific value of the article. The article analyzes the dynamics and structure of the GEL exchange rate and public debt in 2010-2020 based on the statistical data of Geostat and the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Problematic issues in the field of finance and monetary-credit have been identified and their causes have been investigated. The recommendations have been developed to alleviate the debt burden of Georgia and overcome the negative consequences caused by them. Based on the analysis of the economic situation in Georgia and the dynamics of the GEL exchange rate, the article develops recommendations for improving the financial sector, stabilizing the exchange rate and ensuring effective public debt management and sustainable economic growth. It should also be noted that, the article addresses and assesses the approaches of the leaders of Government of Georgia and the National Bank to ensuring the formation and improvement of a stable macroeconomic environment. The role of monetary policy in ensuring the sustainable development of the economy is revealed. In addition, the mistakes in exchange rate regulation and public debt management are also identified and assessed. The article substantiates the crucial role of ensuring the stability of the GEL exchange rate in achieving economic growth. Besides, reviewing the GEL exchange rate is important not only against the USD, but also against the currencies of other trading partner countries. Accordingly, the paper, based on the statistical data, also analyzes the dynamics of changes in the GEL exchange rate against the currencies of partner countries. The article also analyzes the key factors affecting both effective nominal and real exchange rates, as well as domestic and external debt at different time intervals.

Crisis Communication in the Context of Child and Youth Protection – Diagnosis, Problems, Challenges. The Case of the Catholic Church in Poland

Crisis management principles that have been in place and proven for decades by commercial companies and corporations, tested at great expense, apply equally to all non-commercial entities, governmental, religious, political, as well as to individuals. There is no deviation from them, as crises in today’s world are determined by the media, not the entity or institution itself. Every crisis can become an opportunity for change, strengthening, improvement, purification and even victory. The condition is a professional approach to the problem. A crisis can also be the beginning of the end, a failure. The biggest enemy of success in this situation is lack of knowledge how to act properly, mistakes in communication and management of resources. However, avoiding responsibility, hiding facts, manipulating information, being too quick and inconsiderate, resorting to falsehood, hypocrisy, and calculated behaviour will not facilitate success either. The article will analyse the institutional actions of the Catholic Church in Poland for the protection of children and adolescents in the context of the classical principles of crisis management applied in a crisis.

The article examines the problem of crisis management in conditions of continuous uncertainty. It is considered how leaders and the organisations they lead can maintain reputation, financial and operational strength, and competitive advantage in a crisis. The basics of understanding the essence of the crisis, its main factors and origins, are analysed. Leaders are judged on how they deal with the organisation’s most difficult challenges. The article presents the concepts of anti-crisis management, the principles of effective anti-crisis response. The typical mistakes are identified and the possibility of learning through mistakes is explored to reduce losses in a crisis situation.The article will be useful for heads of organisations for making management decisions.

Клінічний випадок природженої CMV-нейроінфекції в дитини з вибірковим дефіцитом IgA

Вважають, що природжена CMV-інфекція має місце щонайменше у 1 % немовлят, хоча результати останніх клінічних досліджень вказують на питому вагу зазначених уражень на рівні 8 % випадків серед усіх новонароджених. Тяжкість клінічних симптомів ураження нервової системи CMV-етіології залежить від терміну внутрішньоутробного інфікування. При ранньому інфікуванні, протягом першого триместру внутрішньоутробного періоду, коли відбувається закладка головного мозку, розвиваються тяжкі вади центральної нервової системи, включаючи аненцефалію, поренцефалію, шизенцефалію, лісенцефалію, мікрополігірію та пахігірію. При більш пізньому зараженні, протягом 2–3-го триместру вагітності, відзначають більш легкі прояви: вентрикуломегалію, порушення мієлінізації білої речовини мозку, кісти в полюсах скроневих часток, гіпогенезію мозолистого тіла, перивентрикулярні кальцифікати та ураження кохлеовестибулярних нервів. В статті наведено історію хвороби хлопчика віком 5 років з типовими клініко-інструментальними ознаками природженої CMV-інфекції. У дитини відзначались глибокий спастичний тетрапарез, тяжка затримка психомовленнєвого розвитку, рефрактерний епілептичний синдром із поліморфними нападами, порушення роботи тазових органів, унеможливлення самостійного пересування. МРТ головного мозку демонструвала типові радіологічні ознаки природженої CMV-інфекції: кортикальну атрофію, вентрикуломегалію, перивентрикулярний гліоз, поля демієлінізації в білій речовині півкуль, кісти в полюсах скроневих часток, гіпоплазію мозолистого тіла. Протягом періоду новонародженості відзначалися специфічні IgM до СMV у сироватці крові. ПЛР лейкоцитів крові виявила ДНК СMV у дитини в 5-річному віці на момент звернення в клініку за медичною допомогою. Ця інфекція призводила до генералізованої лімфаденопатії, гепатоспленомегалії, тромбоцитопенії та лімфомоноцитозу. Оцінка імунного статусу показала наявність вибіркового дефіциту IgA, з чим пов’язали розвиток цієї опортуністичної інфекції. Efektivitas Peraturan Daerah Nomor 03 Tahun 2012 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah di Kabupaten Probolinggo terhadap Kesadaran Masyarakat dalam Pengembangan Bank Sampah

The increasing population lead to an increase in the volume, type, and characteristics of waste. Waste has become a global problem so that its management needs to be carried out in a comprehensive and integrated manner from upstream to downstream. A little mistakes in waste management will have an impact on environmental pollution and even lead to natural disasters. This research is a study related to its special environmental management regarding community empowerment through the development of waste bank in Probolinggo city. This research uses normative emphirical research. The normative emphirical research is a combination of normative legal approach with the addition of various empirical elements. Due to this research is related to community empowerment in developing garbage bank in managing environment. Subjects in this study are regulatory regulations relating to environmental management, especially the management of waste bank in the Probolinggo city. In this study, the object is the Local Regulation number 03 of 2013 on Waste Management. From the results of the study concluded that Regional Regulation number 03 of 2013 on waste management in the Probolinggo city has provided fresh wind to the development of waste bank in Probolinggo city which is also warmly welcomed by the Probolinggo city society to be aware of hygiene by changing the paradigm of society by gathering, transport, waste. Now the paradigm is transformed into saving innovation through waste bank by reusing existing waste with 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Program.
