Peran Politik Islam Dalam Dinamika Pemerintahan Perspektif Dalam Negeri dan Luar Negeri

This study discusses the role of Islamic politics in government dynamics, with a focus on domestic and foreign perspectives. Islamic politics is a key factor influencing political policies and processes in many countries with a majority Muslim population. The aim of this research is to analyze how political Islam plays an important role in shaping government systems and public policies, both domestically and at the international level. This research uses a qualitative approach by combining literature analysis and case studies from several countries that represent differences within the country and abroad. The analysis was carried out by considering aspects such as Islamic political participation, the influence of Islamic politics on policy changes, and the impact of Islamic politics in international relations. The research results show that Islamic politics has a significant role in the dynamics of government in the country. Islamic political participation, through Islamic-based political parties or social movements, can influence the policy-making process and change the political orientation of the country. Factors such as religious identity, social justice, and the aspirations of Muslims often form the basis of Islamic politics in taking positions in government. At the international level, political Islam also plays an important role. Countries with a majority Muslim population often use Islamic politics as a tool to maintain their sovereignty and fight for their interests in the international arena. This can be seen in relations between Muslim countries and Western countries and in issues such as Palestine and the role of Islam in global affairs.

Edukasi Konsep Pengembangan Halal Tourism Wisata Pantai Pengubaian dalam Meningkatkan Kepuasan Wisatawan di Kabupaten Kaur

The development of halal tourism in Indonesia has become one of the priorities to increase tourist satisfaction, especially in areas with a majority Muslim population. Pengubaian Beach has great potential to develop the concept of halal tourism. However, until now the concept has not been applied optimally. This community service program aims to provide education to tourism actors and local communities about the importance of developing halal tourism at Pengubaian Beach. The methods used include Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and socialization with the Kaur Regency Tourism Office. The results of this activity show an increase in the understanding and awareness of tourism actors, the local community towards the concept of halal tourism, with the hope of being able to increase the attractiveness of Pengubaian Beach as a sustainable tourist destination.

Producer and Consumer Behavior towards the Consumption of Halal Food and Beverages

Introduction: Indonesia, as a country with a majority Muslim population, shows its concern for religion by consuming halal food and beverage products. Balanced consumption in Islam is implemented by avoiding tabzir and israf behavior. Objective: The method used is literature with qualitative data to describe community behavior from the producer and consumer sides when considering daily halal food and beverages. Method: The research approach used is a comparative qualitative approach. The research data was obtained from risk management reports contained in the annual reports of Bank Victoria Syariah and Bank Syariah Indonesia in 2023. Result: The result of this study is that consumers still think that halal food and beverages are only based on whether the product contains pork and dog meat and their derivatives or not. The obstacles from related agencies are moving institutions and processes that are still confusing and centralized, so there is a lack of human resources. Producer constraints are related to high costs, business management unpreparedness, and lack of socialization and awareness to register their products. Business actors' fraud against the halal label cannot be handled seriously with the policy of the halal product guarantee agency. Implication: This study increases awareness and adherence to halal standards among the public, including producers, consumers, and related institutions.

Analysis of Monetary policy in Muslim Majority Countries: Tunisia

This research aims to analyze the monetary policy of Tunisia, a country with a Muslim-majority population, from both conventional and Islamic perspectives. Monetary policy, under the responsibility of the Central Bank, seeks to maintain currency stability and ensure overall economic strength. Islamic monetary policy specifically incorporates principles such as the prohibition of usury (riba), currency stability, the avoidance of excessive speculation, promoting productive financing, distributive justice, inflation control, and transparency. Tunisia, with its majority Muslim population, provides an interesting case for examining how Islamic principles are reflected—or not—in its monetary policy. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, utilizing secondary data from library research, including websites and scientific journal articles. The findings show that Tunisia's monetary policy has a significant impact on economic indicators such as price stability, currency value, and overall economic growth, contributing to benefits like increased employment, higher purchasing power, improved investment levels, and sustainable economic prosperity. Key tools include interest rates, open market operations, reserve requirements, foreign currency interventions, selective credit policies, and macroprudential regulations.

‘Overwhelmed by the pandemic’: the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on students’ questions in religious education in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Türkiye

ABSTRACT This article seeks to examine the effect of the COVID-19 Pandemic on religious education (RE) in the three Muslim-majority countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, and Türkiye. It specifically explores the effects of the Pandemic on students’ interests by asking questions in RE classes and the way in which RE teachers respond to them. Malaysia, Indonesia, and Türkiye were chosen, as they all have a Muslim-majority population, and their respective curriculum encourage the constructivist learning theory, which suggests that learning should be a student-active process. This is qualitative research that employs a case study design. Semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted with RE teachers in the three countries to learn about the changing interests and questions of the students and how teachers respond to them. RE teachers from upper secondary schools without a religious character (i.e. common/public schools) were chosen for the interviews, as older students are more likely to ask challenging theological questions in the face of the Pandemic. The study documents the Pandemic’s effects on RE, specifically students’ interests and questions and the way in which RE teachers respond to them. Additionally, it provides insights into how RE could help students to better understand the new experience, such as the Pandemic.

Analysis of Ramadhan Effect on Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Sector Companies in Indonesia Sharia Stock Index 2020 - 2023

Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population and is listed as the first country with the largest Muslim population in the worl. With investment levels also increasing and a Muslim-majority population, this will greatly support researchers in conducting research related to sharia shares. This research investigates the existence of an anomaly effect. Where this effect is supported by religious situations and conditions, namely the month of Ramadan, so it is called the Ramadan effect which has also been widely documented by researchers, with the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Good) company sector indexed by Indonesian sharia shares from 2020 to 2023 as the object of this research. The GARCH method is the model used in this research. Introduced by Bollerslev in 1986. This research was conducted quantitatively using secondary data on daily closing stock prices. The results of this research show that there is no effect of Ramadan on returns or volatility in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Good) sector shares listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI). There are only 3 companies that have a Ramadan effect on stock returns, including PT Martina Berto Tbk., PT Prima Cakrawala Abadi Tbk., and PT Sekar Bumi Tbk., then on volatility there are also 3 companies that have a Ramadhan effect, including PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua Tbk. ., PT Sekar Bumi Tbk., and PT Kimia Farma Tbk.. However, it was found in this research that in the month of Ramadan all the returns of the companies studied produced positive values with the majority of volatility being low.

Upaya Meningkatkan Minat Beli Omset Penjualan Melalui Sertifikasi Halal Di Kecamatan Tirtoyudo

Indonesia's economic growth is significantly assisted by micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM). However, many UMKM in the Tirtoyudo sub-district area are not aware of the importance of product certification. To make business owners aware of the importance of product certification, extensive socialization is needed. As a country with a majority Muslim population, halal certification has a significant impact on consumer interest in a product. This is the motivation behind our devotional research, which aims to educate consumers on the importance of halal certification for food or cosmetics. In addition, so that business owners are aware and understand that managing halal certification is simple and only requires KUA to achieve sub-district level management. The product must be able to compete in the market and broaden its reach in order to generate more revenue.

Honor Killings in Traditional Societies: Revisiting the Case of Türkiye After Istanbul Convention Withdrawal

This research delves into the complex dynamics of honor and honor killings in traditional societies, with a specific focus on Türkiye, which has a Muslim-majority population and secular-democratic politico-legal system. It sheds light on the cultural and societal frameworks that reinforce honor, particularly in the context of gender relations and familial reputation. Using a qualitative methodology, the study analyzes the case of Türkiye, with a significant emphasis on the controversial withdrawal from the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence, also known as the Istanbul Convention. Examining discussions in the parliament, legal documents, and secondary sources, such as research reports, supports the case study. The findings reveal a complicated interplay between traditional perceptions of honor, legal inadequacies, and societal attitudes that perpetuate violence against women. The study argues that while legislative reforms have been implemented, cultural and societal norms continue to pose significant challenges to their effectiveness. The conclusion underscores the urgent need for a multifaceted approach, incorporating legal, educational, and societal strategies to dismantle the cultural norms that condone honor-related violence. This article contributes to the discourse on gender-based violence, advocating for a comprehensive understanding and action to address honor killings in Türkiye and beyond.

Regulation of Multi-storey Residential Ownership by Foreign Nationals in Indonesia and Malaysia: A Legal Perspective and Islamic Principles

This study analyzes the regulation of multi-storey residential ownership by foreign nationals (WNA) in Indonesia and Malaysia from the perspective of Islamic law and principles. The issue requires clear and fair arrangements to protect national interests and local residents' rights. Both countries, with majority Muslim populations, integrate Islamic principles into public policy, including property. Using a comparative study and qualitative analysis, the research examines Indonesia's Government Regulation No. 103 of 2015 and Malaysia's "Malaysia My Second Home" (MM2H) program and strata title regulations. Findings reveal that both countries emphasize social justice and the protection of local citizens' rights in line with Islamic principles. The study concludes that regulations should be refined with Islamic principles to attract foreign investment and protect national interests, focusing on simplifying bureaucracy, increasing transparency, and reviewing property price policies.

Freedom that is not Absolute: Ecological Ethics and Human-Nature Relationship in the Qur'an

This article presents an analysis of ecological ethics in the holy scripture of Islam through the intellectual interpretations of Muslim scholars. The primary focus is on discussing the limitations of human rights in utilizing ecology and the obligation to preserve it according to the perspective of the Qur'an. This discussion is particularly relevant for Indonesia, a country with a majority Muslim population, which is experiencing increasing ecological degradation. The article urges Muslims in Indonesia to refer back to the ecological principles within Islam, avoiding capitalist ideologies that contradict Islamic teachings. The research methodology used is literature analysis, drawing from the texts of the Qur'an and its exegesis, analyzed through thematic and descriptive-analytical interpretative approaches. Two main themes discussed are the limitations of human creativity towards ecology and the relationship between humans and nature. Research findings indicate that the Qur'an explicitly prohibits human behavior that can harm environmental sustainability. Although nature was created to meet human needs, humans are still forbidden to treat the environment carelessly. The Qur'an emphasizes the importance of maintaining ecological balance, forbids isrāf (wastefulness), and warns of punishment in the afterlife for those who damage the environment.

Empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Through Free Halal Certification Assistance to Strengthen Economic Independence Synergy in Triharjo Village

Halal certification on business products is an aspect that is always considered by every consumer. Indonesia as a country with a majority Muslim population, always maintains that every product circulating in the community has been halal certified. However, in reality, there are still many products that have not been certified halal due to the lack of knowledge and information possessed by business actors. KKN MIT 18 Post 58 UIN Walisongo together with Walisongo Halal Center took proactive steps to provide socialization and assistance for MSME actors in Triharjo Village to obtain halal certification for their products. This program applies the Service-Learning method by showing the commitment and direct contribution of students in empowering sustainable solutions in the community. This program aims to expand the market reach of their products, encourage MSMEs to consistently provide quality halal products and enhance economic independence for the people of Triharjo Village in a sustainable manner.

Comparison of the Legal Regulation of Adultery as Social Control in Society: A Comparison Between Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Turkey

Introduction: Differences in adultery regulations in various countries in the world can be different, one of which is due to the ideology adopted by each country. Regulations related to adultery actually have relevance to state ideology and the values held and lived by society, including religious values.Purpose of the Research: This research aims to analyze and compare adultery regulations based on the values and ideology that apply in a country by comparing adultery regulations between Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Turkey.Method of Research: This research is normative legal research by prioritizing historical, conceptual, legislative and comparative approaches.Results of Research: The results of the research confirm that the development of adultery regulations in Indonesia has not been substantively facilitated since it was regulated in the WvSNI and even passed into the Criminal Code in 1946. This is because what is regulated in the Criminal Code as an official translation of Dutch criminal law is only an overspel that if translated into Indonesian is closer to the act of infidelity and not adultery. The regulation of adultery in the new national criminal law is officially regulated in the New Criminal Code, especially in Article 411 of the New Criminal Code, which is actually in accordance with the meaning of the offense of adultery in accordance with the values and culture of Indonesian society. Does Religious Identity Moderate Economic Voting? Evidence from Indonesia

Scholars have long suggested that economic voting is contingent on political factors, but how social identity contributes to such contingent economic voting has been overlooked. While the literature suggests the presence of direct function of religion on voting decisions, we are not sure about religion’s other functions. By treating religion as a social identity, this article seeks to uncover a moderating function of religion on economic voting. It draws on an embedded exit poll survey in Indonesian gubernatorial and mayoral elections in 2020, covering 9,400 respondents. This paper finds that the self-identification of religious identity moderates economic perception in the voting decision. Although the findings show strong evidence of economic voting, they challenge previous studies arguing that religion is a weak predictor in a new democracy with a Muslim-majority population. This paper contributes to the literature on economic voting and the role of religion in the voting decision.

Why Do Religious Ideas Matter? The Multidimensionality of the Indonesian Public Sphere

In this paper, I challenge the claim of the universalistic public sphere by providing contextual complexity of the national and local public sphere in Indonesia. In the original version of the Habermasian public sphere, people sat together in the salon and the café to exchange their ideas, sustaining the secular, capitalistic, and individualistic public sphere. However, further critics have shown the problems of putting secular ideas as the central force of the public sphere, particularly as it overlooks the complexity of the public sphere in religious contexts. These critics are particularly relevant to understanding the Indonesian public sphere in which the Muslim-majority population aims to dominate public life, as the religiously motivated political agenda has a further consequence for democratisation in Indonesia, which has been heralded as a prime example of harmony between Islamic values and Western democracy. At the same time, digitalisation has facilitated a religious revival in the national public sphere, combining religious sentiment within a highly individualised and digitalised society. This paper analyses the challenges of the digital divide in the local public sphere of pondok pesantren (Indonesian Islamic boarding schools). With a lack of digital access and democratic practices in day-to-day pondok pesantren life, communalistic religious practices have dominated the public sphere of these boarding schools. Within such complexity, this paper deliberates on how the local and national contexts in Indonesia shed light on the multidimensionality of the public sphere.

Effects of Murâbahah Financing And Mudharabah Towards Customer Welfare Case Study at Bank Syariah Indonesia Kcp Bsd South Tangerang

At this time there are not a few banks that carry out activities conventionally or based on sharia principles. Currently the development of the Islamic financial market (Financial Market Sharia) is rife in the world, especially in countries with a majority Muslim population. This was marked by the establishment of the Islamic Financial Market in Kuala Lumpur which was pioneered by Islamic countries. The progress of the Sharia Financial Market in Indonesia, especially in Islamic banking and insurance is quite significant, followed by the Islamic capital market and pawnshops. Many financing contracts are carried out in the practice of Islamic financial institutions, for example murabahah, mudharabah, ijarah, musyarakah and so on. In this research the authors focus on murabaha and mudharabah financing. The purpose of writing this thesis is to analyze the effect of murabahah and mudharabah financing on the welfare of customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP BSD South Tangerang. This research includes quantitative descriptive analysis research. The design used in this study is a correlational analysis design (a problem to find a relationship between two phenomena) precisely causal correlation. Data collection uses research instruments, data analysis is quantitative/statistical. The primary data used in this study are 132 customers who received financing according to the criteria and the secondary data in this study is in the form of documents and archives at Bank Syariah Indonesia which contains reports on customer funds that carry out murabaha and mudharabah financing. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling, which is a method of determining respondents to be sampled based on certain criteria. Based on the results of data analysis with the help of the SPSS 26.0 program, research that has been conducted at Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP BSD Tangerang using linear regression analysis through SPSS program data processing shows that, (1) There is an effect of Murabahah financing on the welfare of customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP BSD Tangerang. The statistical test results showed that Fcount = 27.898 at db 1 and 94 was 3.94 at the 5% level. Based on the explanation above, 27,898 > 3.94 at the 5% level, so H0 is rejected, meaning that there is an influence of Murabahah financing on customer welfare of Mandiri Syariah Bank KCP Tangerang, (2) There is an influence of Mudharabah financing on the welfare of customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP BSD Tangerang. The statistical test results showed that Fcount = 15.048 at db 1 and 34 was 4.13 at the 5% level.

Comparative Study Of Reasons For Divorce Based On National Marriage Laws In Indonesia And Turkiye

Marriage aims to build a happy and eternal family, but realizing this is challenging because many factors trigger a conflict that leads to divorce. Research focuses on reasons for divorce based on marriage law. To sharpen reasoning in studying the laws of other countries, the research was carried out using comparison. The country chosen to compare with Indonesia is Turkey because Turkey has reformed family law in the form of a law, apart from that because Indonesia and Turkey have a majority Muslim population with a majority of the Shafi'i school of thought in Indonesia and Hanafi in Turkey. The research method uses a statutory and comparative approach with secondary data, namely Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), and the Turkish Civil Code 1926. The analysis uses three paths with conclusions based on vertical comparisons: Indonesia and the Islamic School of Religion. Shafi’i and Turkey, with the Hanafi School, both adopted some of the provisions of the school to become part of the regulations. Horizontally, the reasons for divorce in the Marriage Law in Indonesia and The Turkish Civil Code 1926 in Turkey are largely similar, and diagonally with a comparison of the history of marriage legislation, namely that every aspect of marriage law regulations is more or less influenced by the school of thought followed by that country.

Integrating Living Values Education into Indonesian Islamic Schools: An Innovation in Character Building

As a country with a majority Muslim population, Indonesia has strong foundations in religious teachings guiding daily life. However, social changes, technological advances, and globalization present challenges in ensuring character education remains relevant and adaptive. Islamic education in Indonesia is central to shaping individual character based on religious and ethical teachings. This study examines the potential of the Living Values Education (LVE) approach as an innovative mainstream in developing Islamic education in Indonesia. This research is a literature study, involving an in-depth analysis of relevant literature. The study shows that LVE provides a holistic approach covering ethical, moral, social, and emotional aspects. In the context of Islamic education, LVE can strengthen the understanding of religious teachings and associate them with universal virtues. The relevance of LVE lies in educators building learning dynamics based on positive character values. Thus, LVE becomes an innovative alternative in Islamic education, encouraging the creation of intelligent, moral, and creative generations for the nation's future.

Public Understanding of the Implementation of Islamic Law in the Context of Modern Life in Indonesia

This qualitative research explores people's understanding of the application of Islamic law in the context of modern life in Indonesia. As the country with the largest Muslim majority population in the world, Indonesia is a unique case study to see the intersection between Islamic law and the dynamics of contemporary society. Through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, this study explores the diverse perspectives, beliefs and experiences of Indonesian individuals regarding Sharia principles and their relevance in today's society. The findings highlight the complexities of reconciling religious norms, cultural traditions, and modern realities in Indonesian society, and provide insights for policymakers, scholars, and civil society actors seeking to promote social cohesion, religious tolerance, and legal reform.

Ulema and Santri Movement During the Indonesian Revolution of 1949-1950

This article analyzes the power of Islam as a mobilizer against the invaders and defending the NKRI during the revolution in 1949-1950. This research illustrates that the Indonesian revolution is Islamic. Because Islam in that era became the power base in Indonesia. Apart from the majority Muslim population, Islam also dared to show its actions in resisting colonialism. Promoters in the Islamic movement were played by Ulema and Santri. The form of struggle of scholars during this revolution began with the call for jihad which aimed to revive the spirit of the Santri involved in the fisabilillah war. Then it was seen in his fatwa about the prohibition of Hajj to maintain Indonesia’s security from the threat of the invaders. While the struggle of the Santri by forming Islamic movements and fronts, namely the Hisbulloh and Sabilillah lascar fronts, which then attacked the British army headquarters in Surabaya. The Santri was also involved in the battle of November 10, 1945, which was incorporated with the Gerakan Pemuda Islam Indonesia (GPII). This research uses a historical methodology that includes four steps, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography.
