The Urgency of Digitizing Learning for Madrasah Aliyah Islamic Boarding School Students in The Era Of Society 5.0

Digitized learning in Islamic boarding schools is an opportunity and, at the same time, the challenge of continuing to transform to make the learning process massively more efficient and comprehensive in every aspect of human life. In the current era of disruption, technological and industrial change is facing a significant revolution and is known as the Society 5.0 era. Of course, in facing the era of society 5.0, the world of education has an important contribution to make in adapting to current developments in improving the quality of human resources. This research aims to describe the urgency of digitizing learning for Madrasah Aliyah Islamic Boarding School students in the Society 5.0 era. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and a literature study. The research results show the importance of digitalization learning in the era of society 5.0 in Islamic boarding school-based Madrasah Aliyah, activists and stakeholders in education, get an overview of the application of technology learning, which is more specific to communication tools, the challenges of implementing digitalization learning, and the efforts that need to be made to maximize digitalization learning in Islamic boarding school-based Islamic schools.

Development of PBL-Based Chemistry E-Modules for Colloidal Systems

Integrating digital learning tools has become increasingly important for enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes in the rapidly evolving educational landscape. This research aimed to assess the feasibility of a developed e-module and its impact on student learning outcomes. The development process followed the ADDIE Model, comprising five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used included interview sheets, e-module validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and a 20-item test instrument. The e-module was validated by experts based on content, presentation, language, and graphic criteria, achieving an average validity score of 91.6%, indicating strong validity. Following validation, the e-module was implemented with 36 eleventh-grade Science Program (XI MIA) students at a high Islamic school in Medan during the 2023/2024 academic year. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, as evidenced by an N-gain score of 0.76, which falls within the high criteria. Additionally, student responses to the e-module were overwhelmingly positive, with an average approval rating of 87%, categorising their feedback as "very good." The findings suggest that the developed e-module is feasible and effective in enhancing student learning outcomes. The high validation scores and positive student feedback indicate that the e-module is well-designed and meets educational standards. It is a valuable tool for improving student engagement and achievement in the classroom.

Impact Asessment of One Pesantren One Product (OPOP) as a Government Economic resilient Program to Improve the Pesantren Small Enterprises in the East Java Province

Abstract. One Pesantren One Product (OPOP) is one of economic development priority programs initiated by the government of the province of East Java, Indonesia, under the Governor regulation No. 62, 2020, aiming to improve the entepreneurship of Pesantren (an Indonesian term for traditional Islamic school) to raise the society resilient in economy and develop Sharia economic ecosystem through out the region of East Java Province. Up to 2022, there are 750 Pesantren of which 174 Pesantren has been provided both trainings and funds as the benefits of the program. This study is aimed to evaluate the impacts of this 4 year ongoing program by surveying and collecting the primary data of Pesantren enterprise condition prior and subsequent to accepting the benefits of this OPOP program to assess how significance the program affects the growth of the Pesantren enterprise. The method used in this study is content analysis of an in-depth guided interview assessing seven research variables used in this study ; legality, human resources, products/services, marketing, cash flow, internal impacts and external impacts. All of these variables are the result of a Delphi consensus by inter-diciplinary academicians and inter-sectoral government officers. There are 34 samples is taken out of the 174 population with the method of multi-stage cluster random sampling, choosing 8 region in the province by cluster sampling and then choosing ten typologies of the enterprise by non-proportional stratified random sampling. The analysis technique used is a likert scale, to score each research variable in the context of both prior and subsequent conditions to receiving the benefits of the OPOP program resulting in categorization of 3 different classes, and how significance the impacts of the program to the seven variables research lead to the escalation of the class of the studied samples. The result is 62% of the Pesantren enterprise experienced class ascension with 4 enterprise typologies, which are Food raw material, processed food products, farming and beverage products, that is affected the most by this OPOP program.

Arabic Language Learning Models in Schools: A Comparative Study of Islamic Boarding School-Based Madrasah Aliyah in The Kebumen, Indonesia

There are variances in learning Arabic across different institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools and Madrasah Aliyah. The objective of this study is to identify the similarities and distinctions across Arabic language learning models at Islamic boarding schools in Kebumen, Central Java, Indonesia. The focus of the research is restricted to MA Salafiyah and MA Yapika, which are the prominent Islamic schools in the Kebumen district. The research findings encompass two key aspects. Firstly, the Arabic language learning curriculum at MA Yapika and MA Salafiyah is a comprehensive curriculum that combines the Ministry of Religion curriculum with the Islamic boarding school curriculum. Secondly, the Arabic language learning model at the Islamic boarding school-based Madrasah Aliyah in Kebumen district consists of two approaches. (1) MA Yapika applies an Active Arabic Language Learning strategy (Active Learning) with specific practical objectives. (2) MA Salafiyah Wonoyoso focuses more on developing maharah lughawiyah (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) as the foundation of student competence.

Islamic reform with or without Ulama? A comparative study between al-Kawakibi and Naini

ABSTRACT Through historical analysis and literature review, the current article compares the works of two contemporaneous leading Muslim advocates of reform: Abd al-Rahman al-Kawakibi and Ayatollah Muhammad Husain Naini. The comparison is confined to the primary political treatises of the authors, namely Tabaiʿ al-ʾIstibdad wa-Masariʿ al-ʾIstiʿbad and Tanbih al-Ummah va Tanzih al-Milla. The article delves into the multifaced factors that shaped both the style and content of the two works. Al-Kawakibi and Naini hailed from different Middle Eastern countries, belonged to distinct Islamic schools and occupied varying social strata. These differences have influenced the ways in which they conceptualized the relationship between Islam and political reform. Furthermore, despite their shared diagnosis of tyranny as a malady afflicting Islamic societies, the two authors have prescribed divergent remedies. Consequently, these two works represent the culmination of two discrete approaches to reform, rendering them not merely distinct, but in certain aspects, diametrically opposed.

Pengaruh Quality of Friendship terhadap Hardiness Siswa Islamic Boarding School di Kota Padang

Islamic Boarding School is a dormitory-based Islamic school that combines a regular curriculum and a religious curriculum. The personality characteristic of hardiness is needed so that students can navigate the systems, regulations and changes that exist in Islamic boarding schools. One of the variables that can influence hardiness is the quality of friendship. The aim of this research is to see the influence of quality of friendship on the hardiness of Islamic boarding school students at junior high level in Padang City. The method used in this research is a quantitative survey with a correlation method. The subjects in this research were junior high school students studying at an Islamic boarding school in Padang City which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture with a sample size of 173 students. The technique used in sampling is cluster sampling. Data were collected using the McGill Friendship Questionnaire - Friendship Function scale. The analysis carried out was simple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that quality of friendship has a positive influence on student hardiness at Islamic boarding schools in Padang City, with an influence contribution of 12.1%.

This research was designed to find out how Islamic school students feel about e-learning. This research examines how students interpret e-learning, how they use it, and potential opportunities. Remarkable openings and challenges associated with e-learning in understanding learning. This research plan consists of a subjective descriptive examination. Students at Sunan Giri Surabaya College, namely the Islamic education program which is strictly focused on this program, is the subject of the exam. The research results show that there are both opportunities and challenges in implementing internet-based learning. Thus, the results of this research provide a comprehensive picture of how Islamic Religious Education students view e-learning. This can be used as a useful reference for building more innovative and flexible learning methods in the future.

Implementasi Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Adab di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu

The implementation of the National Curriculum character education program has not achieved maximum results, because the value of religious manners has been eroded by the growing influence of technology, culture, and the times, we can see this in today's students who have not been able to apply the values of polite culture both in the application of speech, dress and behavior patterns, while manners are the main staple of the Islamic generation before studying science. The adab-based character education program can restore the character of Indonesian students who have noble morals by upholding polite culture. This study aims to describe and analyze in depth the Implementation of Adab-Based Character Education Management at Khoiru Ummah Integrated Islamic Primary School. This research uses a Qualitative approach. Data sources were obtained from the Principal, Vice Principal of Curriculum, Vice Principal of Student Affairs, Vice Principal of Islamic Personal Development, Student Guardians, and Students of SDIT Khoiru Ummah. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation studies, and data analysis using Milles and Huberman models. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of adab-based character education management at SDIT Khoiru Ummah through a program strategy based on the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT) in the BPI Islamic Personal Development program, by instilling ukhrowi values in every learning process and extracurricular activities through management patterns of Planning, Actuating and Controlling as an effective implementation of adab-based character education management

Diversity and practice: local decision-making practices on multi-cultural diets for British Muslim school children (BMSC) and implications for social justice.

British Muslim School Children (BMSC) are required to follow special halal dietary requirements in accordance with their religion, which is often not accounted for in British schools. This often leaves BMSC limited to a vegetarian diet while at school, despite this not being their chosen diet or preference. This study explores the perceptions of key stakeholders regarding fairness and accessibility of school meals for BMSC, as well as discussing school food provision for those maintaining a religious diet in light of social justice. This is in the context of limited knowledge previously being explored in the North East of England regarding procurement and decision-making at a systems level to cater for BMSC. A qualitative research design was conducted. A total of 62 participants (39 BMSC, 15 parents, and 8 school and catering staff) took part in a semi-structured interview or focus group. Participants were recruited from six schools, with these schools selected based on their differing levels of BMSC in attendance. This project took place between March 2022 and October 2023. Results suggested that where schools already catered for diverse food requirements, inclusive of BMSC dietary needs, food choices were still limited in the options and amount available. School and catering staff stated that cost implications contributed to their menu development process. Despite this, there was an evident willingness to learn about the cultural food options and how these can be implemented in future school menus. Suggestions discussed included an increase in the use of halal meat in order to provide a more inclusive school food experience for BMSC.

تحليل مشكلات الطالبات في تعلم مفردات اللغة العربية : دراسة وصفية في الصف الأول المتوسط بالمدرسة الإسلامية أولو النهى ميدان جوهور

The research questions are: What are the problems of female students in learning the Arabic language vocabulary in the first grade at the Islamic School Ulu Al-Nuha, Johor Square, and what are the solutions from the school to the students’ problems in learning the Arabic language vocabulary in the first grade at the Islamic School, Ulu Al-Noha, Johor Square. The method used is qualitative descriptive research of the type of field research, using the observation and interview method in collecting data. The results of this research are summarized as follows: (1) The problems of female students in learning the vocabulary of the Arabic language are that they rarely use the Arabic language and are not accustomed to using the Arabic language because they do not have the courage, less ability to allocate time between memorizing vocabulary and memorizing the Qur’an, difficulty in memorizing the vocabulary that They were not used to hearing it. (2) The school’s solutions to the students’ problems in learning Arabic vocabulary are to consider the students’ learning methods in choosing learning methods. The students try to get used to using the daily Arabic language with vocabulary. The school gives daily assignments to the students to memorize the vocabulary on the day. Effect of Using Quizwhizzer Application on Learning Outcomes of Grade VII Junior High School Students on Pythagoras Theorem Material

Mathematics is very concerned with understanding concepts in the process of working. There are still many students who are constrained in understanding the concept of a material because learning is a little monotonous and lacks dance, this has an impact on the low learning outcomes of students in mathematics. This study was conducted to see whether the QuizWhizzher application media could have a positive influence on student learning. This research was conducted in class VII.6 SMP IT Madani Islamic School Payakumbuh with the type of research that is a combination of quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data is obtained from students' learning outcomes, starting from the pre-test and post-test. Qualitative data is obtained by describing the data obtained quantitatively and also explaining whether there is a positive influence or not. The results of this study indicate an increase in student learning outcomes in the Pythagorean Theorem material with an average of 81.67, so it can be said that QuizWhizzer is effectively used to improve student learning outcomes.

These activities facilitate mental preparedness and foster students' receptivity to new information, thereby enhancing the efficacy of early learning in Indonesian instruction. Development of science e-modules with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach for islamic schools

The current development of education demands students to compete globally with modern technological knowledge. This research aims to develop a science e-module with the STEM approach embedded with religious values for students of madrasas, pesantren, and integrated Islamic schools. The research method used is research and development with the ADDIE model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, which were then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of the material expert validation reached 93% (excellent), and media expert validation reached 92% (excellent). This e-module is considered practical with a practicality test result by educators of 81% (excellent) and attractive according to users with a test score of 80% (very attractive). This module integrates religious values within the science material using the STEM approach to stimulate students and support science learning in the context of Islamic education. This research has implications for developing technology-based learning materials in Islamic educational institutions.

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Video Animasi pada Materi Daur Hidup Hewan di Sekolah Dasar

This research aims to: 1) develop animation video-based learning media on animal life cycle in elementary schools, 2) deside the possibility of animation video-based learning media on animal life cycle in elementary schools, 3) find out student respons to animation video-based learning media on animal life cycle in elementary schools. This research uses research and development (RD) using a 4D models with the step, namely define, desihn, development, disseminates. This learning media go through the stages of material expert validation test, media expert validation tests and product trials. The subjects of this research were students of class V SD Aya Sophia Islamic School as many as 20 students. Based on the the results of the research, the average validation of media experts was 47 with categories “very feasible”, material expert validation was 43,7 with categorories “very feasible”, user responses were 92,9% with the category “very good”. Thus, it can be concluded that animated videos are declared suitable for use as learning media, especially in thematic subjects.

A study on nutritional status among rural Bengalee Muslim school going adolescent girls

Background: Adolescent period is in-between period of childhood and adulthood. Studies revealed that rural female adolescents are suffering more than the urban girls, due to insufficient food intake, poor healthcare facilities and socioeconomic differences. Present study was an attempt to survey current malnutrition scenario among rural adolescent girls of Bengalee Muslim community of Cooch Behar district, West Bengal, India. Methods: A community based, cross sectional study has conducted from April to May, 2023 among rural Bengalee Muslim adolescent girls aged 10-14 years (n=160) of Cooch Behar district, West Bengal, India. Data were collected after informing and explaining the purpose of the present study to school authorities, students and their parents. Three anthropometric measurements like, height, weight, MUAC recorded using standard procedures. Derived variable BMI was calculated and nutritional status was assessed using height for age and BMI for age. The degree of stunting (low height for age) and thinness (low BMI for age) were categorized on the basis of the position of the plot. Age specific mean and standard deviation was done. One way ANOVA was done to find out age specific mean differences in the Anthropometric variables. The p value <0.05 was considered as statistically significance. Results: Overall prevalence of stunting and thinness was 28.12% and 22.5% respectively. Prevalence of overall severe stunting and thinness was 10.6% and 10% respectively. Overall prevalence of overweight was 11% respectively. Conclusions: Present study revealed about existence of double burden of malnutrition among rural Bengalee Muslim population.

Implementation of physical fitness learning model through play approach: how does it impact on Islamic school students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah?

Physical education is a compulsory content in the education curriculum under the ministry of religious affairs in Indonesia, especially for junior high school students. Learning to implement the curriculum launched by the government, however, the implementation of this curriculum still requires elaboration to be more operational and can be implemented in schools. The issue of low fitness, learning content and student motivation in physical education is still an operational concern. Creativity is needed so that physical education learning is quality, interesting and able to improve fitness in fun and quality learning. The purpose of seeing the implementation of game-based physical education learning for student fitness development. The research method taken is a type of quantitative research, namely quasi-experimental design with a two-group pre test-post test control group design. The research was conducted on 40 students with two groups. Experimental group 20 students and control group 20 Students. Fitness instrument with 800 meter test for women and 1000 for men. Data analysis using independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a significant effect on students' physical fitness in the experimental group before treatment (pre-test) and after treatment (post-test), seen from the Sig value of 0.000 < α 0.05. Furthermore, the control group also experienced an increase between before and after treatment, as evidenced by the sig value. 0,032. The results showed that there was an increase in fitness shown by both the control and experimental groups. It is proven that the experimental group is better than the control group with a comparison of 51% increase in the control group and 62% in the experimental group.
