In this paper, a multi-axis follow-up CNC planing process for twisted blade profile is proposed to reduce the machining cost and achieve high machining efficiency. Firstly, the planing process of the turbine twisted blade is analysed to determine the planing shaping movements; then the machine layout and CNC planing system needed to realize the shaping movements are constructed; then the implementation method of the multi-axis follow-up function which is unique to the CNC planing system is studied; Finally, a proof experiment of this machining process has been done to verify its feasibility.
