Longitudinal Form Factors and Quadrupole Moments of 22,26Na Isotopes with Different Interactions

The longitudinal electron scattering form factors and the electric quadrupole moments are calculated for the states with Jπ T= 3+0 (ground state) and 1+ 0 (583keV excited state) of 22Na and Jπ T= 3+2 (ground state) of 26Na. Shell model calculations are based on USDA, USDB and Wildenthal interactions. The exact center of mass correction is included in Born approximation picture to generate the longitudinal form factors. The core polarization (CP) effect with the values of effective nucleon charges ep=1.35, en= 0.35, with Bohr Mottelson formula gave a good agreement with the measured electric quadrupole moments. The structure of the nuclei under consideration shows that the 1d5/2 orbit is dominant configuration for 22Na, and 2s1/2 orbit for 26Na.

CALCULATION OF THE INELASTIC LONGITUDINAL ELECTRON SCATTERING OF 20Ne AND 24Mg NUCLEI

The inelastic longitudinal electron scattering form factors F(q)'s, an expression for the transition charge density are studied where the deformation in nuclear collective modes is taken into consideration besides the shell model transition density. The core polarization transition density is evaluated by adopting the shape of Tassie model together with form of the ground state two-body charge density distributions which included the effect of short range correlation(SRC). It is noticed that the core polarization effects which represent the collective modes are essential in obtaining a good agreement between the calculated inelastic longitudinal F(q)'s and those of experimental data for 20Ne and 24Mg nuclei.

Longitudinal form Factors of 25Mg with Bohr-Mottelson Model Using Large-scale Shell Model

The longitudinal electron scattering form factors in large scale SDPF-shell for 25Mg with SDPF now as effective interaction have been discussed using Bohr-Mottelson model to computation core polarization (CP). The calculation are done with the help of NuShell code. To determine the single-particle wave function, the SKyrme-Hartree Fock potential was used to compute the matrix elements' radial wave function containing a single particle. Bohr-Mottelson model is used in these calculation. The result show good agreement with experimental data for 25Mg nucleus.

Core polarization effects up to 12ℏω in 7Li and 10B nuclei

Shell model and core polarization (CP) effects have been used to calculate the transverse and longitudinal electron scattering form factors for 7Li and [Formula: see text]B nuclei. The calculations considered one particle–one hole excitation up to 12[Formula: see text][Formula: see text]. This manner seems to be essential for obtaining the best explanation for empirical results. Therefore, adding the excited states up to 12[Formula: see text][Formula: see text] gives a reasonable description for transverse and longitudinal form factors. Furthermore, with these calculations, it is possible to get a very close location of diffraction minimum, and the behavior of the momentum transfer is described properly at the high configuration for 7Li compared with 6[Formula: see text][Formula: see text] energy.

Core-polarization effect in longitudinal electron scattering form factors of 65Cu nucleus

Inelastic longitudinal electron scattering form factors to 2+ and 4+ states in 65Cu nucleus has been calculated in the (2p3/2 1f 5/2 2p1/2) shell model space with the F5PVH effective interaction. The harmonic oscillator potential has been applied to calculate the wave functions of radial single-particle matrix elements. Two shell model codes, CP and NUSHELL are used to obtain results. The form factor of inelastic electron scattering to 1/21−, 1/22−, 3/22−, 3/23−, 5/21−, 5/22− and 7/2- states and finding the transition probabilities B (C2) (in units of e2 fm4) for these transitions and B (C4) (in units of e2 fm8) for the transition 7/2-, and comparing them with experimental data. Both the form factors and reduced transition probabilities with core-polarization effects gave a reasonable description of the experimental data.

Inelastic longitudinal electron scattering form factors for secondexcited state C42 in 42Ti nucleus have been calculated using shellmodel theory. Fp shell model space with configuration (1f7/2 2p3/21f5/2 2p1/2) has been adopted in order to distribute the valenceparticles (protons and neutrons) outside an inert core 40Ca. Modernmodel space effective interactions like FPD6 and GXPF1 have beenused to generate model space vectors and harmonic oscillator wavefunction as a single particle wave function. Discarder space (coreorbits + higher orbits) has been included in (core polarization effect)as a first order correction in microscopic theory to measure theinterested multipole form factors via the model space.Gogny and Michigan sum of three-range Yukawapotential (M3Y-p2) have been utilized as a residual interaction tocouple the (particle-hole) pair across the model space active particlesand the excitation energy of the pair is (2ħω) and four options for theused effective and residual interactions were determined for thetransitions from (+0) to (+01,2,3), (+21,2,3) and (+41,2,3).

Longitudinal electron scattering form factors for 54,56Fe

In this paper, inelastic longitudinal electron scattering form factors for C2 transition have been studied in 54 Fe and 56 Fe with the aid of shell model calculations. The GX1 effective interaction for the fp-shell is used with the nucleon–nucleon realistic interaction Michigan three-range Yukawa and Modified surface delta interaction as a two-body interactions. The core polarization effects is taken into account through the first-order perturbation theory with the effective charge, which is taken to the proton and the neutron. The effective charge along with the core effects up to 6 ℏw enhanced the calculation very well and improving good agreement with the experimental data.

Elastic Longitudinal Electron Scattering form Factors of 9Be

Inelastic longitudinal electron scattering form factors have been studied for 9 Be (Jπ = 5/2-, T = 1/2 and Jπ = 7/2-, T = 1/2) in the framework of the complete confi guration mixing p-shell model, and in the large basis no-core shell model with (0+2)w truncations. Excitations out of major shell space are taken into account through effective charge model. Excitations out of the major shells are essential for both models considered in this work, in obtaining a reasonable description of the longitudinal electron scattering form factors.

Application of the symplectic model to the giant resonance states in 16O and 40Ca

The energies and longitudinal electron scattering form factors for the giant monopole and quadrupole states in 16O and 40Ca are calculated in the generator coordinate formalism of the symplectic model. Comparisons are made to experimental data where available and the theoretical significance of the calculation and its results is discussed.
