Abstract

Inelastic longitudinal electron scattering form factors have been studied for 9 Be (Jπ = 5/2-, T = 1/2 and Jπ = 7/2-, T = 1/2) in the framework of the complete confi guration mixing p-shell model, and in the large basis no-core shell model with (0+2)w truncations. Excitations out of major shell space are taken into account through effective charge model. Excitations out of the major shells are essential for both models considered in this work, in obtaining a reasonable description of the longitudinal electron scattering form factors.
