Mentoring and Training in Developing Gunung Ireng Geotourism, Patuk District, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region

Gunung Ireng geosite is an excellent geoheritage that is also a part of the Gunungsewu UNESCO Global Geopark in Pengkok, Gunungkidul Regency. It is widely recognized as an experiential leisure tour destination with the sunrise, sunset, and milky way watching as its activities. The primary attraction is the natural museum of Tertiary submarine paleo-volcanic miniature that was developed during the Early Miocene (±20-23 million years ago). Mentoring in utilizing the resources is necessary. The local community has agreed to develop geotourism as an effort to conserve the cultural, biotic, and geological environment. The certified instructors or mentors and professionals used mentoring methods to increase the local community’s abilities in preparing, managing, and evaluating the geotourism, including management, advertisement, marketing, guidance, web hosting, culinary, and accommodations.. The results are the status of the geoheritage area (by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 13 K.HK.01.MEM.G.2021), the viral of the local Gunung Ireng’s Spot Festival, the local culinary facilities, the CHSE certificate, as well as up to 300% increase in visitors per month before the pandemic and 200-300% increase during the pandemic. Other results that have successfully developed the supporting attractions are the Ahad Pon traditional market, the footsteps flashback of the great da'wah Sunan Kalijogo on Gunung Ireng and the Geological Natural Track of the Ancient Volcano of Gunung Ireng. Those three attractions are the efforts to improve the local community's economy, nature, and cultural conservation as the solid implementations of geotourism activities. Qualitatively, these various efforts are now starting to show impacts, with the increased motivation of the community to focus more on developing this destination, and the increasing attention of local governments to support these conservation activities, although quantitatively it has not to be measured yet.

ROAD PLANNING ON SEGMENT INARI – BOFUWER (STA. 61 + 500 – 68 + 200) KAIMANA REGENCY WEST PAPUA PROVINCE

West Papua Province is a new province with a relatively low economic level due to inadequate road access. Many areas are isolated, which hampers the distribution of goods and services. One isolated area is the Kaimana Regency with Fakfak Regency. Therefore, to open regional isolation and improve the local community's economy, it is necessary to plan a road in the Inari – Bofuwer segment as an infrastructure that can connect the two areas.Road planning consists of geometric road planning based on Tata Cara Perencanaan Geometrik Jalan Antar Kota No. 38 Tahun 1997, road pavement thickness planning using the 2017 Bina Marga method, and road drainage planning based on Perencanaan Sistem Drainase Jalan Tahun 2006.The geometric design of the road for horizontal alignment obtained 13 Spiral-Circle-Spiral bends and 5 Spiral-Spiral bends. In contrast, the vertical alignment consists of 13 concave curves and 13 convex curves. The road pavement uses Burda or Burtu with a thickness of LPA Class A 250 mm, LPA Class B 110 mm, and a soil stabilization layer 150 mm. The planned road drainage channel is in the form of a trapezoid with a width of 0,4 – 0,6 meters and a height of 0,85 – 1,15 meters.

Portrait of International Backpacker Tourism during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Bali

The world pandemic due to COVID -19 has destroyed almost all aspects of human life in the world, including the tourism sector. However, the existence of backpacker tourists is unique, because they can still contribute to local communities in Kuta Bali. This study aims to determine the impact of COVID -19 on the level of backpacker tourist visits in Bali and see the benefits generated by backpacker tourists during the pandemic. The entire research and writing process was designed using a qualitative method with a case study approach through in-depth interviews with several random tourists. The results of this study indicate that the pandemic due to COVID -19 has had an impact on the decline in the number of backpacker tourists in Bali. However, they can still contribute to the local community's economy during a pandemic.

TINJAUAN ‘URF TERHADAP BUDAYA EKONOMI DALAM USAHA FOTOKOPI PERANTAU MINANGKABAU DI YOGYAKARTA

One of the efforts to meet the needs of the Minangkabau people that they achieve is through migration, as in the economic culture of Minangkabau immigrants from Nagari Atar Batusangkar, Padang Gantiang District, Tanah Datar Regency. About 99% of the imigrants were found in the field involved in Photo Copying businesses scattered in the city of Yogyakarta. The hope is that people's behavior in fulfilling the economy can continue to run well and in accordance with Islamic law. This study aims to explain how Urf's review of the economic culture of Minangkabau migrants in Yogyakarta using a qualitative descriptive research methodology. The results of the study conclude several things, among others: First, according to records in 2015 the number of Minangkabau residents in Yogyakarta reached 10,000 people or around 350 families, and those who run photocopy businesses are 80 families or 155 tablets. Second, the Economic Culture in the photocopy of the Minangkabu Community in Yogyakarta is referred to as 'Urf in Islamic law, because it fulfills several conditions' Urf and the law is mubah. Third, related to economic culture can furthermore be one of the studies that offers siding to the local community's economy which has basically been an economic support since the past in an effort to promote life, as well as' Urf which can then be used as a method and source of Islamic law in its development. economy because it conforms to Islamic principles.

COPING PRACTICES OF COASTAL FISHERMEN IN RESPONSE TO CLIMATE CHANGE FOR SOUTHERN COASTAL BELT OF BANGLADESH

Climate change impact over the fishermen of an coastal river that flowing over the southern coast of Bangladesh are suffering the increased vulnerability in terms of less stable livelihoods, decreases in the availability of fish catch, and safety risks due to fishing in harsher weather conditions. This study highlights the river-based livelihood and economies of local communities along the Sangu River basin inside Bangladesh in response to climate change induced problem. Adaptation practices by the fishermen of Sangu river was investigated by triangulating semi-structured interviews, household survey data, while the different environmental variables and their fluctuations at five year’s time scales had been compared to detect the bio-physical changes. About 20% fisheries productivity reduced and the annual yield dropped to 162 MT from 850 MT in last fifteen years, which lead to BDT 280 million (80%) revenue loss. Socioeconomic impacts were felt through changes in capture, production and over all income, and possible increases in risks of damage or loss of fishing gears and crafts. Due to the low adaptive capacity, fishers tend to be poorer, more marginalized and losing their occupation.

Microsatellite analysis of Rafflesia cantleyi from the Rafflesia Conservation and Interpretive Centre, Bersia Timur and Gerik Forest Reserve, Perak, Malaysia

Located at Bersia Timur, the Rafflesia Conservation and Interpretive Centre (RCIC) was initiated by the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and FELDA to boost research and conservation efforts of the iconic Rafflesia species in the state of Perak. It also plays a role in supporting the economy of local communities by promoting local eco-tourism, providing trainings to local tour-guides and involving them in conserving the Rafflesia population. As part of the R & D and conservation effort, genetic diversity assessment of Rafflesia cantleyi from RCIC and Gerik Forest Reserve (FR) was carried out. Bract samples from a total of eight and 35 R. cantleyi individuals of different flowering / anthesis stages were collected from RCIC and Gerik FR, respectively. We used nine polymorphic microsatellite markers for genotyping. Despite the small sample size (∼75% lesser compared with Gerik FR), the total number of alleles observed in RCIC is > 50% than that of Gerik FR, i.e., 33 compared to 57. The genetic diversity measure in terms of observed (Ho) and expected (He) heterozygosities from both sites are comparable (RCIC: Ho = 0.5298, He = 0.5347; Gerik FR: Ho = 0.5145, He = 0.5868). Our findings suggest that the R. cantleyi population in Gerik FR is a suitable source for future translocation activities.

Service Quality and Interest Impact on Satisfaction and Loyalty of Agro Tourism Visitors

The agricultural sector is one of the opportunities for improving the economy of local communities. Opportunities will be a challenge for agro-tourism managers in their development. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of service quality and importance on visitor satisfaction and loyalty. The research method used is a survey method and research sampling using incidental sampling technique to 127 tourists who come to visit. Furthermore, the data is processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the support of Amos SPSS Version 24. The results show that good service performance can significantly increase visitor satisfaction by 44%. However, it is inversely proportional to the effect of service performance on consumer loyalty directly. Improved service performance can lower visitor loyalty rates by 48%. In addition, increased satisfaction can also have a significant effect on visitor loyalty by 111%. In contrast to service performance and satisfaction, interests do not have a significant effect on visitor satisfaction or loyalty. So that the presence or absence of complete facilities at the research location does not guarantee that visitors will feel significant satisfaction and loyalty.

Strategi pengembangan kawasan ekowisata dengan menggunakan model Community based ecotourism (CBE) di desa Kuala Terusan Kabupaten Pelalawan

Community-based ecotourism is one of the efforts in rural development to improve the local economy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential for community-based ecotourism development (CBE) in terms of ecological aspects (flora and fauna characteristics, Carrying capacity and waste management) and socio-economic aspects of culture and local community wisdom and formulate CBE development strategies. The study was conducted in April to July 2019 in the area of natural attractions in the village of Kuala Terusan Pelalawan Regency. The method in this study uses a survey method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study are that the flora found in Kuala Terusan is a type of peat forest and freshwater swamp forest so that there are no special flora that are characteristic of the Kuala Terusan Village area, fauna types in Kuala Terusan are reptile animals, mammals, birds and fish species that exist in the Kampar River. Based on the calculation of physical carrying capacity (Physical Carrying Capacity / PCC) PCC values obtained for swimming / snorkeling activities can accommodate 40 people / day. Activities carried out by Kuala Terusan tourist visitors are accompanied by beach tours and family picnics. The family picnic and beach tourism site has a utilization area of 3,000 m2. Carrying capacity that can accommodate tourists for beach tourism activities is 240 people / day. Facilities still need improvements such as in the processing of waste that has not been going well. CBE development strategies that can be carried out include planning CBE development programs, increasing stakeholder knowledge and awareness, formulating the concept of ecotourism with the government and involving community groups, developing food (local snacks typical of the Kuala Terusan region), improving the economy of local communities, utilizing the important issues of natural forest and the sustainability of nature, utilizing and enforcing existing regulations to support the community-based ecotourism development program at Kuala Terusan Village.

Badung's economic growth over the past five years shows that there is a rate that is always higher than the economic growth of regencies / cities in all provinces of Bali. The Regency Government has made a policy regarding the requirements for the establishment of a business place or shopping center, the provisions for operating time, control and supervision, administrative sanctions stipulated in the Badung District Regulation Number 7 of 2012 concerning Structuring and Guiding Traditional Markets, aimed at stimulating the local community's economy. And facilitating community economic transactions in rural areas. The formulation of the problem is how to implement the revitalization of the Badung District Regulation No. 7 of 2012 concerning the regulation of traditional markets in the Badung Regency and how the obstacles to implementing the Regional Regulation are. This thesis uses the type of empirical legal research by collecting legal data in the form of implementing regional regulations in Badung Regency number 7 of 2012 concerning the regulation of traditional markets. Traditional markets are a place where traders and buyers meet, where trade is carried out by negotiation and bargaining but along with the times often the decline in performance of traditional markets is caused by various factors, where in addition to being caused by modern markets, the decline factor is even more dominant due to weak power competitiveness of entrepreneurs who carry out activities in traditional markets.
 

LOCAL COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION AND ECONOMIC IMPACT OF PENTINGSARI VILLAGE TOURISM YOGYAKARTA

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the level of community participation in Pentingsari Village Tourism management Yogyakarta. There aremany activities involve the local communities, such as cooking class, traditional dancing, painting, out bond and local activities likes planting rice and fishing. The level of local people participation is based on the theory of public participation Level (Tosun, 1999), that is categorized into spontaneous, induced and coercive.This study measured the level of participation by Tosun Theory (1999), the same as previous research of Agustini and Suarthana (2016), then analyzed its impact on the economy to local communities. Methodology used in this research are qualitative and qualitative analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS). In depth interview conducted to 8 key informants in managing Pentingsari Village Tourism and 40 respondens whom involved in tourism village activities. The finding of this research is that community participation in tourism activities impact 29,2% to economy. It was generate income, providing employment, increase the amount of production, marketing network and promote the Pentingsari Village Tourism to the world. The implications of this study are to raise the level of community participation in various tourism activities. Thus the local community's economy will improve, the standard of living and welfare of the people is also increasing. Limitations of this study only focus on the economic, social and environment aspects; in fact, many other aspects that rose up as the impact of community participation in tourism activities need to be further analyzed.

Collaboration of stakeholders in the development of ecotourism of Tangkahen village in Pulang Pisau regency of Central Borneo

Indonesia is known for its various panoramas of natural beauty that are tempting to visit. Various natural tourist destinations in Indonesia are favourite destinations for local and foreign tourists. This is of course a huge potential for the development of Indonesian tourism. The government has also started to promote ecotourism programs as a tourist destination for travellers in Indonesia. Ecotourism is one of the environmentally friendly tourism activities by prioritizing aspects of nature conservation, aspects of socio-cultural empowerment, local community economy, and aspects of learning and education, and ecotourism development is one of the best efforts to save forests from human-caused damage. Cooperation between stakeholders involved in ecotourism development is a way to make it happen. This article aims to analyze collaboration between stakeholders in the development of ecotourism in Tangkahen Village in Pulang Pisau district, Central Borneo Province. This research uses descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques are using interviews, observation, and documentation. According to the result there are differences in the strategic mission of each stakeholder and the development of ecotourism depends on regional finances. The supporting factors for this collaboration are the role of the ecotourism manager as well as the traditional religious leaders in the village and a very strong role of the head of the working group team to accelerate tourism development. Analisa biaya pengembangan objek wisata air di perairan Sungai Siak bagi masyarakat Rumbai Pesisir Pekanbaru

Ekowisata is a regional environmental (ecological) based tourism development. The coast of the Siak River is an area that has the potential to attract tourism and at the same time improve the economy of local communities. A strategy is needed to motivate the public and business actors to take an active role in the tourism industry. Investors have to consider the costs and benefits of investing. The community also has limited capital to do business. So in this research activity the team divides the development strategy into three targets, namely the first target is to increase public interest through small and medium enterprises, the second is to provide encouragement to local governments, namely the sub-district (kelurahan) to prepare groups of middle economic actors and the third is to provide opportunities for investors. to manage the water tourism industry in collaboration with the community. One form of the community's active role is to invite them to build tourist icons on the coast of the Siak River and provide training in making Malay culinary.

PENGEMBANGAN BUDIDAYA PORANG DI LAHAN BAWAH TEGAKAN POHON DI DESA PACAREJO, KECAMATAN SEMANU, KABUPATEN GUNUNGKIDUL

Pacarejo Village in Semanu District Gunung Kidul Regency is a village where is still a lots of potential lands under Tree forest stands. Land Proverties taht belonging of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVYK) located in this place. It is available to cultivate Porang stalk. Porang is going to growing well, if there are shading plants, in the form of stands.There are still capable of about 50 percent light. The land in Pacarejo Village is overgrown with teak, sonokeling, mahony and sengon trees. It is rich and get benefits apart from the timber, soo the land underneath can be used for plant that can provide yields well. In other hand, this activities provide economic added value to the community around the forest and get the better welfare. This Community servises activity aims to cultivate land, including UPNVYK land which has not been utilized as well as to be used as a forum for education for the community and can obtain additional results, thereby improving the local community's economy. The program dedicated to improve the commnunity empowerment. In program implementation, we conduct with communities approach methode. It was carried out using the RRA (Rapid Rural Approach) and PRA (Participatory Rural Approach) methods, which are the philosophy model to close the village community deeply. All of Activities have been doing by Focus Group Discussion (FGD), get the extention to the community, dissemination commodities of Porang and its benefits of commodities. The program are cultivate land with Porang and make the derivative product after harvest handling. To get the ideal of the program, to be done through scheduled mentoring, implementation of technology, controlling and monitoring. The application of the method, in the form of activities by presenting a "demplot" of Porang cultivation and assistance properly and correctly. It is able to carry out the cultivated of post-harvest handling and calculated revenue to be get economical benefit. The results of the activities showed that the program is useful and able to get the land use optimal and the end of the program will increase household community income.

THE IMPACT OF AGROTOURISM DEVELOPMENT ON THE SOCIAL ECONOMIC LIFE OF LOCAL COMMUNITY KAMPUNG FLORY SLEMAN, YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampung Flory Desa Tridadi Sleman Yogyakarta. Kampung Flory memiliki tiga destinasi utama yang dibagi menjadi tiga zonasi yaitu Zona Taruna Tani, Bali Ndeso dan Desa Wisata Flory. Kampung Flory sudah dikembangkan enam tahun terakhir dan terus mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat. Fokus penelitian ini tentang dampak pengembangan agrowisata terhadap ekonomi masyarakat lokal. Agrowisata merupakan Zona Taruna Tani yang dikelola masyarakat lokal. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan in-depth interview, observasi dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan model interaktif yaitu: pengumpulan data, redukasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah masyarakat lokal mendapatkan dampak yang positif dari pengembangan agrowisata. Agrowisata Kampung Flory dikelola oleh generasi muda yang memiliki keterampilan dalam bertani. Para pemuda yang awalnya tidak tahu harus memasarkan produk tani kemana dan seperti apa, menjadi memiliki wadah untuk saling berbagi ilmu dan juga mendapatkan penghasilan. Tanaman yang dikembangkan ini kemudian dijual kepada para pecinta tanaman dan juga mendapat pemasukan dari wisatawan yang berkunjung. Masyarakat tidak hanya mendapat manfaat sebagai tenaga professional di Agrowisata Kampung Flory namun juga sebagai banyak yang bisa membuka usaha warung disekitar kawasan agrowisata. Produk yang dijual berupa makanan dan minuman khas Kabupaten Sleman. Pengembangan Agrowisata ini juga memberikan manfaat pengetahuan berupa keterampilan untuk bercocok tanam sehingga dapat menambah perekonomian masyarakat. Agrowisata hadir sebagai tempat masyarakat untuk menyalurkan hobi bertani dan juga dapat memberikan edukasi kepada wisatawan.

Gender and Economy in the Niger Delta: An Examination of the Role of Women in Sustaining a Region in Conflict

The discourse on the structure of the economy and the drivers of growth in different African societies is underlined by patriarchy. The dominant view is often that men are at the heart of the productive and profitable sectors of the society, hence the skewed power relations and visibility of men in all organs of the society. While this framework seems to typify patriarchal societies in different African nations, it overshadows the tenacity of women in conflict-ridden societies where men focus mainly on the execution of war and combat roles rather than on the economic survival of their families and society. In the oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria, years of grassroots struggle against the state and mining companies over oil wealth and the environment have shifted economic relations hitherto dominated by men, and created a platform where women have become visible participants in the economy. This paper looks at the role of women in the economy of local communities of the Niger Delta. Analyses of the decades-old conflict have often been limited to male-led military, political and environmental struggles between major actors in the conflict, with little attention paid to the role of women in the economic survival of the region. The paper uses both ethnographic and secondary data collected from Egbema community and its neighbours in the northern Niger Delta region.

EFFECT OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT POLICY AND EMPOWERMENT OF ENHANCING FOOD SECURITY IN SAROLANGUN REGENCY, JAMBI PROVINCE

Food Security is one of the economies of local communities in Indonesia, rehabilitated and reconstructed by the efforts of adequate food availability for households. However, not all areas to manage the existing resources well be the center of attention, carrying out development evenly. Therefore the role of government and the community is very important in improving food security. This study aimed to analyze the influence of Rural Development Policy and Community Empowerment against Improved Food Security in Sarolangun, either partially or collectively sama.Metode research is quantitative, and Mechanical Sampling and descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that there are significant rural development policy, the low influence of community empowerment and rural development policy and community empowerment together affect the improvement of food security. Indicators of the availability of clean food staples and the percentage of areas close to 5km from a health facility is to support and be an attraction in this study. Recommendations of the study: (1) The collection and compilation of data and documents on local food security, (2) Strategic Plan pangandaerah resistance and (3) food security program is short, medium and long term.

Local Wisdom of Desa Gadang Village of Kampar Regency In An Effort To Improve Tourism Potency of Riau Province

The village of Pulau Gadang District XII Koto Kampar, Kampar regency is a village that has an interesting historical value. Starting from the transfer of old Gadang Island Village to the current area due to the Koto Panjang PLTA Project, drowning four villages including Pulau Gadang Village. After 25 years passed the transfer was successful to give a positive impact, although initially received rejection. Improving the economy of local communities, supported by the tourism potential that recently developed in the area of this village and directly managed by the community of Pulau Gadang Village. Tourist attraction that is currently viral enough that Raja Ampat his Riau, at the beginning of the emergence of a very loved but the highest point of achievement only up there only. Tourism sector is a leading sector that is being developed and managed directly by the surrounding community, of course the positive impact of increasing the tourism potential in Riau. this paper will provide an in-depth analysis of the local wisdom of the community of Pulau Gadang Village that manages tourism directly, based on the construction of the concept of local wisdom that is capable of bringing progress to a region. Local wisdom is now an interesting issue as it returns to the foundation of a development theory that post modernism that can succeed a region is when the specialty of the area can be managed properly. Local wisdom that has influence in attitude and action, local local ideas that are wise, full of wisdom, good value, embedded and followed by members of the community.

CAN COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP BE A SOUL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM? : STUDY IN KARANGANYAR DISTRICT

Tourism development is believed to be able to improve the economy of local communities, even tourism development is one strategy in reducing poverty, especially in rural communities. But in Indonesia rapid tourism development has the potential to isolate the economy of local communities. This occurs because the tourism business is managed on a large scale by the private sector. Various studies support that this weakness occurs because there is no maximum empowerment of local communities in managing it, so that the community loses control of tourism development. This study aims to interrogate how collaborative leadership is carried out to support sustainable tourism development and how collaborative leadership should be carried out as an effort to effectively increase tourism's contribution to the local economy. To analyze this, this study uses four collaborative leadership variables namely embracing, empowering, involving and mobilizing. The method used is literature study and interview. Research locus in Karanganyar Regency. The results of the analysis show that there is no maximum empowerment of local communities in developing sustainable tourism because of there are obstacles in implementing collaboration are from the agenda of screening and integration of political aspects. This research also suggests that in order to achieve sustainable tourism development it is necessary to develop institutions in the embracing process in the collaborative leadership agenda as well as cooperation between regions. Thus, this paper can contribute theoretically in linking between collaborative leadership models and institutional development for effective sustainable tourism development.
