Pertumbuhan Tanaman Sawi (Brassica juncea L.) Terhadap Aplikasi Pupuk Organik Cair

The mustard plant is one of the horticultural commodities that is popular with the public because it has high fiber and nutritional content so it has high economic selling value. Various cultivation techniques that can be done to increase mustard greens production are by applying liquid organic fertilizer which can increase plant growth and production. Liquid organic fertilizer is an organic fertilizer designed as a balanced food complete with macro and micro nutrients for various types of plants. This research aims to determine the effect of mustard greens growth and production on the provision of liquid organic fertilizer. This research used a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 5 treatment levels. The first factor is the use of liquid organic fertilizer (P0: 0 cc/l; P1: 2 cc/l; P2: 4 cc/l; P3: 6 cc/l; P4: 8 cc/l).The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect on leaf area but had no significant effect on plant height. The most efficient concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for the growth and production of mustard greens is 6 cc/liter. Keywords : mustard greens, liquid organic fertilizer, growth

APLIKASI PUPUK VERMIKOMPOS DAN POC URIN SAPI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN TOMAT (Solanum lycopersicum)

This study aimed to determine the effect of vermicompost fertilizer dose and concentration of cow urine Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) on the growth and yield of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum). This research was an experimental study conducted from March to May 2024. The experimental design used in this study was a factorial Randomised Group Design (RGD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was the dose of vermicompost fertilizer, which consisted of 4 levels, including 0 g/plant, 35 g/plant, 45 g/plant, and 55 g/plant. The second factor was the cow urine concentration LOF, which consisted of four levels: 0 ml/l, 30 ml/l, 60 ml/l, and 90 ml/l. The results showed that the treatment with a vermicompost fertilizer dose of 45 g/plant had the best effect on the parameters of plant height at 4 weeks (79.16 cm), 5 weeks (94.58 cm), and 6 weeks (117.08 cm), and stem diameter at 4 weeks (6.00 mm), 5 weeks (7.01 mm), and 6 weeks (7.94 mm). The concentration of cow urine LOF at 60 ml/l had the best effect on the parameters of plant height at 4 weeks (78.50 cm), 5 weeks (95.66 cm), and 6 weeks (116.25 cm), the number of fruits per plant (12.83 fruits), and fruit weight per plant (474.75 g). There was an interaction between the treatment of vermicompost fertilizer dose and concentration of cow urine, with a combination of 45 g/plant of vermicompost and 60 ml/l cow urine having the best effect on the parameter of plant height 6 weeks after planting (123.33 cm).

Optimizing the Growth and Yield of Kale (Brassica oleracea Var. Acephala) by providing Eggshell Liquid Fertilizer and Water Hyacinth Bokashi

This study investigated the optimal concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from chicken eggshells and the effective dose of water hyacinth bokashi for enhancing kale (Brassica oleracea var. Acephala) growth and yield. Conducted in Bontomanai Village, Bungaya Subdistrict, Gowa Regency, the research utilized a factorial randomized block design with two factors: concentration of liquid fertilizer (0 ml, 100 ml/L, 300 ml/L) and bokashi dose (0 kg, 1 kg, 2 kg). The study included 9 treatment combinations, each replicated 3 times, resulting in 27 experimental units. Key parameters measured were plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight per plant, fresh weight per plot, consumable weight per plot, root weight per plot, and yield per hectare. Findings revealed that neither the interaction of liquid fertilizer concentration and bokashi dose nor their individual effects significantly influenced kale growth or yield. The concentration of 100 ml/L liquid fertilizer produced the highest number of leaves (23.29), fresh weight per plant (73.67 g), and yield per hectare (5.50 tons). The 2 kg/plot bokashi dose resulted in the highest number of leaves (23.81), fresh weight per plant (72.98 g), and yield per hectare (5.60 tons).

PENGARUH KONSENTRASI PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR LIMBAH SAYUR TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN BAWANG DAUN BUNCHING (Allium fistulosum L.) DENGAN SISTEM SUMBU (WICK SYSTEM)

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of Effect of Liquid Organic Fertilizer Concentration of Vegetable Waste on the Growth and Production of Onion Bunching Plants (Allium fistulosum L.) With Hydroponic Axis System (Wick System). This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of the best concentration of organic fertilizers in increasing the growth and production of Bunching Onion Plants (Allium fistulosum L.) with a Hydroponic System (Wick System). This research was conducted in Tamamaung Village, Panakukkang District, Makassar City. Which runs from March to June 2022. This study was prepared with a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 1 factorial, namely liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and used 4 treatments, namely 10ml / liter of water, 20ml / liter of water, 30 ml / liter of water and 40 ml / liter of water. The parameters observed are 4, namely plant height, number of saplings, root length and fresh weight of the plant. The results showed that the application of various concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer to the growth and production of onion bunching plants had an influence on the parameters of plant height, number of saplings and fresh weight of plants. The concentration of 40ml/liter of water is best in increasing the growth and production of onion plants at plant height of 28.66 cm, the number of saplings is 23 saplings, the root length is 7 cm and the fresh weight of the plant is 39 grams.

Growth of Rubber Seeds (Hevea brasiliensis Muell.Arg) from Sleeping Eye Stum by Applying Organic Fertilizer Bulk and Liquid Herbal Waste

The organic fertilizer derived from herbal medicine waste in both bulk and liquid form is rich in macro and micro nutrients as well as decomposing microbes and probiotic bacteria needed to improve soil chemical properties. These fertilisers can be used to obtain better growth of rubber seedlings, especially rubber seedlings of sleeping eye origin. The objectives of this study was(1) to determine the effect of organic fertilizer and liquid bulk herbs Against Waste growth and (2) to know nutrient uptake of N, P, and K seedling stum Sleep eye. The study was conducted in a 4 x 3 factorial experiment arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with five replications. The first factor is the concentration of organic liquid fertilizer consisting of four in the standard: h0 = 0 ml L-1 of air (0%); h1 = 2 ml L-1 air (0.2%); h2 = 4ml L-1 air (0.4%); h3 = 6ml L-1 air (0.6%). The second factor is the dose of organic fertilizer consists of three levels: (b0 = 0 mg ha-1: b1 = 5 mg ha-1: b2 = 10 Mg ha-1). Data were analyzed with Analysis of Variant and continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test 5% level. The results showed that the dosage of bulk organic fertilizers was significantly different at the level of 5% of the uptake of nitrogen, other observations were not significantly different. While the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer was highly significantly different at the level of 1% of nitrogen absorption, other observations were not significantly different. No real effect on their interaction in all observations. The treatment dose of organic fertilizer 5 Mg ha-1 and the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer 4 ml L-1 provided the highest results in leaf area of 586.46 cm2 per plant compared to the control treatment of 181.06 cm2 per plant. The treatment of bulk organic fertilizer dose and liquid organic fertilizer concentration predicted P2O5 nutrient uptake per rubber plant did not show significant differences. While the treatment of doses of bulk organic fertilizer and concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer is thought to be potassium nutrient uptake per rubber plant does not show significant differences, but can be seen from the growth of diameter, number of leaves, and leaf area.

The Effect of Foliar Application of Azolla Liquid Organic Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Rice in Swampy Soil

Rice cultivation faces challenges due to limited land availability despite increasing demand. Utilizing swamp land for cultivation presents an alternative, albeit hindered by difficult-to-control water conditions and less effective fertilizer spread. To ensure optimal nutrient supply, foliar application of Azolla liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) is explored. This study investigates the ideal concentration and frequency of Azolla LOF application for rice growth and yield. Employing a split plot design, the main plot assesses LOF concentration (3%, 6%, 9%, 12%), while the subplot evaluates application frequency (1, 2, 3 times). Results indicate that a 9% LOF concentration yields the highest tiller count (17.99), longest panicle (25.788 cm), highest grain count per panicle (158.2978), heaviest grain weight per hill (45.878 g), and highest grain weight per plot (3457.52 g). However, the fastest flowering period (54 DAP) occurs with a 12% LOF concentration. Applying Azolla LOF three times achieves the earliest flowering (55.25 DAP), while two applications yield the longest panicle (25.03 cm). Notably, no interaction is observed between LOF concentration and application frequency on rice growth and yield. These findings provide insights into optimizing Azolla LOF application for enhanced rice cultivation in swamp lands.

Pengaruh Konsentrasi dan Frekuensi Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair Terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman dan Produksi Sawi Samhong (Brassica juncea L.)

In mustard cultivtion, the right combination of the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer given through the leaves and the frequency of application are factors that can optimize growth and yield. This research aimed to test the effectiveness of the concentration and frequency of NASA liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of Samhong mustard (Brassica juncea L.). The research was carried out in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Pattimura University, Ambon. This research was conducted as an experiment using a Randomized Block Design with 2 factors. The first factor was the concentration of NASA liquid organic fertilizer which consisted of 4 levels, namely: concentration of 0 mL/L of water (without giving POC); 4 mL/L of water; 8 mL/ mL/L of water; and 12 mL/L of water. The second factor was the frequency of fertilizer application which consists of 3 levels, namely 6 times, 3 times and 2 times of application. There were 12 treatment combinations, with 3 replications, so there were 36 experimental units. The research results showed that the concentration of NASA liquid organic fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight and root dry weight. A concentration of 8 mL/L of water was the best concentration for plant fresh weight, namely 323.89 g. For the treatment of frequency of application, there was a very significant effect on the number of leaves, leaf area, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight and root dry weight, with a frequency of 3 applications being the best frequency for the growth and yield of Samhong mustard greens. The interaction between NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration and application frequency did not significantly effect all observed variables.

Application of Liquid Organic Fertilizer to Improve Yields in System of Rice Intensification (SRI).

<b>Background and Objective:</b> Organic fertilizer is a source of nutrition for plants which is an alternative to inorganic fertilizer. Liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) which comes from coconut fiber and banana LOF which comes from banana stems from which the fruit has been removed, so that wasted plant residue can be used as fertilizer. The study aimed to obtain the best type of LOF and concentration in increasing the growth and yield of the Batang Piaman rice variety using the SRI method. <b>Materials and Methods:</b> The research was conducted from June to December, 2023 in Padang City, West Sumatra. The method used was an experiment with a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) in nested with each treatment consisting of 3 groups. The treatment consisted of LOF types at two levels (banana stems and coconut fiber) and LOF concentrations at seven levels (0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 mL/L). Observational data were analysed by variance analysis with F test at 5% real level, but if there were differences, it was continued with DMRT further test at 5% real level by STAR IRRI Philippine software (Philippine). <b>Results:</b> The results obtained were that LOF coconut fiber provided better growth components, yield components and physiological components than banana stem LOF with the best concentration, on the provision of LOF coconut fiber 100 mL/L on the number of rice plant tillers and stomatal density and concentration of 200 mL/L on the number of productive tillers. <b>Conclusion:</b> The application of LOF coconut fiber is better for the growth and yield of rice plants of the Batang Piaman variety compared to the administration of LOF banana stems by applying coconut fiber liquid organic fertilizer with a concentration of 100 mL/L, it is recommended to add coconut fiber LOF to rice fields to increase growth and yield.

PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN PAKCOY (Brassica rapa L.) DENGAN KONSENTRASI DAN INTERVAL WAKTU PEMBERIAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR KOTORAN AYAM

Pak choy is a vegetable that content high nutrition, beneficial for health, and the price is higher compared to other types of mustard greens, so that pak choy cultivation has bright prospects. One effort to get quality pak choy is by providing chicken manure liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The research was conducted to study: the interaction; concentration of LOF; and time interval for applying LOF that provides the best growth and yield of pak choy. The experiment was conducted from June to August 2021 in Sumber Sari Village, Sebulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The experiment was arranged in a Split Plot Design with six replications. The concentration of LOF as the Main Plot, consisting of four levels, namely control (0), 25, 50, 75 mL L-1; and time interval for applying LOF as Subplots, consisted of every 2 and 4 days. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance, continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test at 5% level. The relationship between plant dry weight and LOF concentration was determined using polynomial orthogonal regression and correlation analysis. The results showed that the interaction and the time interval for applying LOF was not significantly different on all variables; while the efffect of LOF concentration is significantly different on all variables. A concentration of 25 mL POC L-1 is able to meet the nutritional needs of pak choy. The shape and strength of the relationship between dry weight of pak choy and POC concentration is linear and very strong with the regression equation ŷ = 3.263 + 0.0615x; correlation coefficient (r) 0.8344; and the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.6963.

Increasing shallot yields by using solid organic fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer on dryland

Abstract Palu’s local shallot are very popular because they have a distinctive texture, taste and aroma. This research aims to determine the effect of the dose of cow manure and the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of the Palu Valley variety of shallots. The research was carried out in Bulupountu Jaya Village, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, from May 2023 to September 2023. The research used a randomized block design (RBD) with a factorial pattern. The first factor was the dose of cow manure which consisted of 3 levels, namely: S0 = no cow manure, S1 = 10 tons/ha and S2 = 20 tons/ha. The second factor was the fertilizer concentration. liquid organic which consists of 3 levels, namely: H1= 5 mL/L water and H2= 10 mL/L water, and H3 = 15 mL/L water. Each experimental unit was repeated 3 times so that there were 27 experimental units. The research results showed that there was an interaction between the dose of cow manure and the concentration of herbafarm’s liquid organic fertilizer on plant height, number of leaves, bulb diameter, fresh weight of bulbs and shallot bulb yield per hectare. Cow manure treatment with a dose of 20 tons/ha and a liquid organic fertilizer concentration of 15 mL/L of water gave the highest yield of shallot compared to other treatments.

The Effect of Liquid Organic Fertilizer from Kepok Banana Humps on Cayenne Pepper Plants' (Capsicum frutescens L.) Growth and Yield

The primary issue encountered in the cultivation of cayenne pepper is the low production levels attributed to the non-intensive cultivation system and poor soil fertility. Enhancing cultivation techniques, mainly through the application of liquid organic fertilizer derived from Kepok banana humps, has the potential to boost production yields. Kepok banana humps harbor microbes that aid in the decomposition of beneficial organic matter. The objective of this study is to assess the impact and optimal concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from Kepok banana humps on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper. Employing a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, the findings indicated that the utilization of liquid organic fertilizer from Kepok banana humps significantly influenced flowering age, harvest age, fruit weight per plant, and plant dry weight. At the same time, no notable effects were observed on plant height and leaf width. The most effective treatment was P3 (300 ml/plant), which yielded the most favorable outcomes across these parameters.

Response to Applying Vegetable Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) on Cucumber Plants (Cucumis sativus L.) Growth and Production

The horticultural plant Cucumis sativus L., commonly known as the cucumber plant, is highly favored and extensively grown in different regions across the globe. This study aims to establish the most effective concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for enhancing the growth and yield of cucumber crops and to offer valuable guidance for farmers seeking to enhance the efficiency and productivity of cucumber cultivation by employing liquid organic fertilizer. The study adopts a non-factorial randomized block design and includes 5 variance tests to determine whether there is a significant difference in further testing using BNT at the 5% significance level. The findings indicated that the 100-dosage treatment yielded consistently superior outcomes regarding fresh fruit weight, fruit length, and the quantity of fruit per harvest compared to alternative treatments. The administration of the 100 doses resulted in a significant increase in the fruit's fresh weight, with the most favorable outcomes observed at Harvest 3. Conversely, the 0 dose exhibited lower results across all measured parameters. The dosis 50 treatment demonstrated favorable outcomes, although not to the same extent as the Dosis 100. Conversely, the dosis 75 treatment yielded suboptimal results in enhancing fruit production.

Effect of Planting Media Composition and Consentration of Vegetable Waste Liquid Organic Fertilizer on the Growth of Oil Palm Seedlings (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq) in the Main Nursery

The research was carried out at Research and Educational Garden of the STIPER Agricultural Institute which is located in Maguwoharjo, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. This experiment was conducted from April – July 2023. This research design used a factorial experiment arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was the composition of the planting medium with 3 kinds, namely: M1 = top soil + cocopeat (1:1); M2 = top soil + husk charcoal (1:1) and M3 = top soil + cocopeat + husk charcoal (1:1:1 ). The second factor was the LOF of vegetable waste which consists of 4 kinds, namely: P0 = without LOF (Liquid Organic Fertilizer) of vegetable waste (control); P1 = 50 ml / plant; P2 = 80 ml /plant and P3 = 100 ml / plant. The treatment combinations were 3 x 4 = 12 with 4 replications to obtain 48 plants. Data observations were analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and if there were significantly differences, it was continued analyzed with the Duncan's Multiple Range Test at 5%. There is an interaction between the composition of the planting medium and the LOF of vegetable waste, on the fresh weight of the crown and the fresh weight of the roots. The best treatment combination for crown fresh weight and root fresh weight is top soil + husk charcoal with vegetable waste LOF 100 ml/plant. The composition of the planting media has an influence on planting height, number of leaves, fresh weight of the crown and fresh weight of the roots. Top soil + charcoal husk planting media is the best. The LOF concentration of vegetable waste has an effect on stem diameter, fresh weight of the crown and the roots. Giving vegetable waste LOF of 50 ml/plant and so on up to 100 ml/plant shows better growth.

Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Sawi Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) Akibat Dibudidayakan pada Berbagai Komposisi Media Tanam dan Konsentrasi Pupuk Organik Cair dengan Sistem Vertikultur

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is one of the important and popular vegetable crops in Indonesia. City development and massive urbanization have resulted in the shrinking of agricultural land in urban areas. Home gardens have great potential if managed optimally and planned. Therefore, the concept of urban farming with the vertical farming method can be a solution. This study aimed to determine the optimal composition of planting media and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) concentration for the growth and production of pakcoy plants. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was the composition of the planting medium, which consisted of three levels: soil, compost, and goat manure with a ratio of 1:1:1, 1:1:2, and 1:2:1. The second factor was the concentration of LOF and urea, which consisted of four levels: 1 gram urea, 2 ml/liter water, 4 ml/liter water, and 6 ml/liter water. The results of the study showed that the combination of planting medium composition and LOF concentration had an effect on all observation parameters. The combination of planting medium composition 1:1:2 and LOF concentration of 4 ml/liter water produced the best results for all observation parameters, namely plant height, number of leaves, total fresh weight, fresh head weight, fresh root weight, and plant dry weight. The Effect of Moringa Leaf (Moringa oleifera L.) Liquid Organic Fertilizer with Different Concentrations on the Growth of Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)

One of the efforts to increase the production of chickpea plants to meet market needs is to optimally utilize the waste of Moringa leaves by converting Moringa leaves into liquid organic fertilizer so that it is easier and more practical to apply and easily absorbed by plants. Liquid organic fertilizer plays a role in improving the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, which can increase the production of upright bean plants. This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) of Moringa leaves with different concentrations and to determine the most effective concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth of green beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). The method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment consisted of a concentration of 16% chicken manure (as a control), POC concentrations of 60%, 65%, 70%, 75% and 80%. The results showed that there was an effect of different concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from Moringa oleifera L. on the growth of plant height, number of leaves and wet weight in bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). The most effective concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from Moringa leaves is at a concentration of 80% with an average plant height of 41.2 cm, an average number of leaves of 15.25 leaves and an average wet weight of 3.98 grams. number of leaves and fresh weight on chickpea plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). The Effect of Different Concentration of Liquid Organic Fertilizer on the Growth of Sea Grape (Caulerpa lentillifera)

Sea grapes (Caulerpa lentillifera) have potential economic value and need to be conserved in their natural environment. The growth and distribution of C. lentillifera depend on physical (such as substrate) and chemical (nutrient) factors of the marine environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of different concentrations of liquid organic fertilizers on the growth of C. lentillifera in a closed culture system. This research was done from April to June 2022. The culture of C. lentillifera was done under a closed culture system using a fiber cage (50 x 50 x 60 cm) inside a (plastic) greenhouse. The experimental design used a complete randomized design of 5 treatments with three replications each. Variables observed during this study were length, weight, and sea grape ramuli quantity. The data was analyzed by using one-way ANOVA. The results show that adding liquid organic fertilizer with different concentrations has an impact on the sea grape weight (F value 3.764 > F tab 3.48) and an increase in the quantity of sea grape ramuli (F value 3.608 > F tab 3.48). The optimum concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for the growth of sea grapes was 20 ml.L−1. The culture of C. lentillifera can be done in a closed system and give good results in its growth. Further study still needs to be done by applying different treatments such as salinity and temperature in order to get exactly good conditions for C. lentillifera to grow in culture conditions and give a good quality that can be consumed and a good economic value.

OPTIMALISASI KONSENTRASI PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR BIOGUSUAN TERHADAP RESPON PERTUMBUHAN VEGETATIF TANAMAN SAWI HIJAU (Brassica juncea L.)

Liquid organic fertilizer is a complete fertilizer because it contains macro and micro elements. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence or concentration of Bio GuSuan liquid organic fertilizer on the vegetative growth response of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). This research is an experimental research. The independent variables is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer, namely the concentration of 1%; 2%;3%;4%; 5%, and control (0%). Data analysis used statistical analysis with one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test with a significance level of 5%. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded: (1) There is an effect of Bio GuSuan liquid organic fertilizer on the vegetative growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L), (2) Bio GuSuan liquid organic fertilizer with a concentration of 5% in treatment (T5) is the most optimal concentration for the vegetative growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L). Leaf area is 5.2 and the number of leaves is 3,800. Based on the F table value with a significance level of 5%, (the sum of inter =3 and the sum of inner =20), the H0 rejection limit is 3.10.

The Availability of Soil N, P, K, and Mustard Yield after the Application of Liquid Organic Fertilizer from Household Waste in Ultisols

Ultisols are one of the dominant soil orders in Indonesia, accounting for approximately 25% of the total land area. The main problem of this soil is high aluminum (Al) saturation with low pH and plant nutrients. The study was intended to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from household waste on the availability of N, P, K, and mustard yield in Ultisols. The research used a complete randomized design (CRD) with six concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer of household waste. The treatments were repeated four times. The treatment included control, 10, 20, 30,40, and 50 ml LOF in a liter of water. The study revealed that the liquid organic fertilizer from household waste increased 1.06 folds of total soil N and 1.04 folds of exchangeable-K compared to the control but did not affect available P. Also, soil pH was comparable among treatments. The greatest concentration of LOF (50 ml per liter of water) exhibited the highest yield of mustard, indicated by the highest fresh and dry shoot weight. In general, the study contributes to the development of eco-frindly agriculture.

Pengaruh Komposisi Media Tanam dan Konsentrasi Pupuk Organik Cair Daun Kelor (moringa oleifera L.) terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.)

This study aims to determine the effect of the composition of the planting medium with the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of Moringa leaves on the growth and yield of shallot plants. This research was conducted in October 2022 - March 2023 in the greenhouse of the Soil Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jember. The study used a completely randomized design with 2 factors, there were 16 treatment combinations, 3 repetitions, and each repetition there were 3 experimental units, so that 144 experimental units were obtained. The first factor is the composition of the planting medium consisting of control; soil: cow manure (1:2); soil: cow manure (2:2) and soil: cow manure (3:2). The second factor was the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for moringa leaves which consisted of control; 20ml/l; 50 ml/l and 80ml/l. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between the treatment of the composition of the planting medium and the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of Moringa leaves on the fresh weight of the tubers and the dry weight of the tubers. The treatment of the composition of the planting media was able to increase the growth and yield of shallot plants, and the addition of liquid organic fertilizer for Moringa leaves was able to increase the growth and yield of shallot plants.

Effect of Nasa Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) Concentration and Varieties on Growth and Production of Lettuce Plants (Lactuca Sativa L.) with the DFT Hydroponic System

Effect of Nasa Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) Concentration and Varieties on Growth and Production of Lettuce Plants (Lactuca sativa L.) with DFT Hydroponic System. Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is a short-lived leaf vegetable that can be grown in both highlands and lowlands. Generally consumed in a raw state so that hygiene is a top priority. Currently the demand for lettuce has not been fulfilled optimally, this is due to constraints in cultivation which causes low quality and yield of lettuce production. Efforts to increase lettuce production can be done by adding organic fertilizers as a source of plant nutrition and selecting the right lettuce varieties. This study aims to determine the interaction between the concentration of Nasa LOF fertilizer and lettuce varieties on the growth and production in hydroponic cultivation with DFT system. This study used a factorial randomized block design with a 2-factor treatment design. The first factor is the concentration of Nasa LOF with 3 levels, namely 4 mL/L; 6 mL/L; 8 mL/L and the second factor is the lettuce variety with 3 levels, namely the new grand rapid variety of lettuce; karina; kriebo le 873 which consisted of 3 groups. The results of this study showed an interaction between the concentration of Nasa LOF and lettuce varieties on the observed variables of plant height (24 DAP and 31 DAP), number of leaves (31 DAP) and wet weight per lettuce plant (31 DAP). The single treatment of Nasa LOF concentration had no significant effect on all variables observed in lettuce. The single treatment of lettuce varieties affected the observed variables of plant height (10 DAP and 17 DAP), number of leaves (24 DAP) and root length (10 DAP, 17 DAP, 24 DAP, and 31 DAP)
