Pengaruh Kualitas Produk Dan Inovasi Terhadap Keputusan Pembelian Pada Defitex.Id (Survei Pada Konsumen Mukena Travel Defitex.Id)

The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of product quality and innovation on purchasing decisions among mukena travel defitex.id consumers. The research method used in this research is a quantitative method with a survey approach, while the types of data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. The object of this research is product quality, innovation and purchasing decisions among mukena travel defitex.id consumers. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear analysis and hypothesis testing in the form of the F test and t test. The results of this test prove that product quality and innovation simultaneously have a significant influence on purchasing decisions for mukena travel defitex.id consumers. Partially, product quality and innovation have a significant effect on purchasing decisions.

The Influence Of Sharia Marketing On The Decision Of Medical Beauty Clinic Guests In Choosing Services At Rumah Cantik Sehat Muslimah Yogyakarta

This study aims to determine the magnitude of influence on purchasing decisions (Y) on halal labels (X1), halal products (X2), and medical aesthetics (X3). Quantitative research methodology is the one applied. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires at Rumah Cantik Sehat Muslimah Gedongkuning Yogyakarta, with a sample of 92 respondents. With SPSS output, this study uses Data Quality Test, Classical Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression Test, and Hypothesis Test. The study's findings suggest that medical aesthetics and halal labels influence consumer decisions. The variables of halal labels, halal products, and medical aesthetics influence purchasing decisions simultaneously, although halal products do not show a major influence on purchasing decisions.

Pengaruh Disiplin Kerja dan Budaya Organisasi terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada PT.Ambar Borneo di Sangatta Utara

The influence of work discipline and organizational culture of employee performance at PT.Ambar Borneo or Ambar Borneo company, North Sangatta. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The purpose of this study is to test how the influence of work discipline and organizational culture on employee performance at PT.Ambar Borneo in North Sangatta. The population in this study amounted to 40 respondents from employees of PT.Ambar Borneo in North Sangatta on Jl.Poros Kabo, Kel. Swarga Bara, Kec.Sangatta Utara, Kabupaten Kutai Timur. The independent variables in this study are work discipline and organizational culture, and the dependent variable in this study is performance. The results of data analysis are processed with SPSS version 26. Data collection techniques are based on primary data from observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation.This study uses data analysis techniques for validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis tests, and dominant tests. The results of the study that the variables of work discipline and organizational culture simultaneously have a significant effect on performance.

The Relationship Between Perceived Comfort Level with Moral Sensitivity and Moral Distress Among Oncology Nurses: A Descriptive Correlational Study

ObjectiveThis study aimed to investigate the relationship between perceived comfort level with moral distress and moral sensitivity among oncology nurses MethodsThis is a descriptive-correlational study on 210 oncology nurses. The samples were selected through the convenience method from September 2020 to February 2022 in the oncology centers of Ahvaz, Iran. Data were collected via a demographic form, Lutzen's Modified Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire, Corley's Moral Distress Scale, and Kolcaba's Nurses Comfort Questionnaire (NCQ). Data were analyzed using SPSS V24, descriptive statistics, Independent t, Mann-Whitney-U, Kruskal-Wallis, Pearson's correlation coefficient, ANOVA, and linear regression tests. ResultsNurses experienced a moderate level of perceived comfort (67.91 ± 8.75), moral sensitivity (58.4 ± 13.3), and moral distress (57.54.8 ± 8.9). Moral sensitivity was significantly inversely related to the intensity of moral distress (P < .001). A statistically significant relationship was found between nurses' perceived comfort level with frequency of distress (P < .001) and moral sensitivity (P = .046). Moral distress explained 13.8% of changes in perceived comfort level (R2 = 0.138, F = 6.51, sig < 0.001, R = 0.371). ConclusionNurses’ perceived comfort level, moral sensitivity, and moral distress were at a moderate level and intercorrelated. It is suggested that factors contributing to moral distress should be eliminated. Also, moral sensitivity should be refined as a decisive factor. Implication for Nursing PracticeOncology nurses are exposed to morally distressing situations that may be a source of discomfort. This study guides nurses, managers, planners, and policymakers to identify the contributing factors and use strategies and solutions to enhance nurses' perceived comfort level.

Analysis of the Implementation of the Hypertension Control Program Using Linear Regression Test

Hypertension is a condition that is often encountered. Hypertension is a condition when blood pressure rises. Risk factors that can cause hypertension are age, race, gender, lifestyle, sodium consumption, smoking, alcohol consumption, stress level, and education. The urgency of this research is that the number of hypertension patients at the Purwodiningratan Surakarta Health Center experiences a spike every year. Based on a preliminary study at the Community Health Center, data was obtained that the number of hypertension patients in the last five year period experienced a spike, then fell, then spiked again. The objective problem of this research is the increase in hypertension patients, so it is necessary to research the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and family support and efforts to control hypertension. The importance of this research is a manifestation of efforts to control hypertension which continues to experience a surge using interview methods and distributing leaflets with the aim of a community approach. The aim of the research is to analyze the magnitude of the impact of the hypertension control program using the swallow method (interviews and leaflets). The research approach used cross sectional. The sample was 77 hypertensive patients at the Community Health Center. The sampling technique used the accidental sampling method based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The statistical test uses a linear regression test at a significance level of 0.05.

The Effect of Self-Regulation on Academic Stress Among Tahfidz Students at MA Ulumul Qur'an Pagar Air

Self-regulation is an individual's ability to manage thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors to meet the standards and goals they aim for as evidence of self-improvement. This ability is particularly essential for Qur'an memorization students (santri tahfidz), who not only study general subjects but also have to memorize the Qur'an. The objective of this study is to examine the influence of self-regulation on academic stress among Qur'an memorization students at Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air. The research method used is quantitative. The subjects in this study consist of 146 students from Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air, with the sample selected using a probability sampling technique, specifically simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted using the Likert scale method by distributing questionnaires to the research subjects. Data analysis was carried out using a simple linear regression test. The results showed that there is an influence of self-regulation on academic stress among Qur'an memorization students at Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air, with an R Square value of 0.276, an F value of 55.028, and a significance value of 0.000. The influence of self-regulation on academic stress among these students is 27.6%. The aspect of self-regulation that has the highest impact on academic stress in this study is self-reflection.

Determining the perceived risk of lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) among hookah users in Iran.

Hookah consumption is harmful to human health and can cause various diseases. Developing lung cancer and other lung diseases are one of the health consequences of hookah consumption. Measuring the perceived risk for being diagnosed with these conditions among hookah users is necessary. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the perceived risk of lung cancer and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in hookah users in Iran. This cross-sectional study was conducted with a descriptive-analytical approach on 340 hookah users between January-May 2023. These people were recruited through convenience sampling. The information on the perceived risk of participants was collected through a questionnaire on the perceived risk of lung cancer and COPD. Data were analyzed through descriptive tests and multiple linear regression tests. These analyses were performed using Stata statistical software version 17. The mean and standard deviation of the perceived risk for lung cancer was 8.41 ± 5.50 and for COPD was 8.51 ± 5.58 out of 20 possible scores. The results of multiple linear regression generally showed that the using other type of tobacco (β = 3.14, p < 0.0001), 2 or more use of hookah in past month (β=-3.41, p = 0.025), unskilled workers (β = 1.79, p = 0.017), married smokers (β=-1.31, p = 0.026), negative attitude toward hookah (β = 0.46, p < 0.0001) were the predictive variables regarding to lung cancer perceived risk. In line with COPD the using other type of tobacco (β = 3.47, p < 0.0001), once a month use of hookah in past month(β=-3.74, p = 0.041) and twice or more use of hookah in past month (β=-4.82, p = 0.008), smokers in contemplation stage (β = 3.91, p < 0.0001), female smokers (β = 3.08, p < 0.0001), unskilled workers (β = 2.42, p = 0.007), negative attitude toward hookah (β = 0.46, p < 0.0001) were the predictive variables to COPD perceived risk. In general, the perceived risk of developing lung cancer and COPD among hookah users was low. Therefore, it is necessary to provide widespread information about the potential harm of hookah in causing lung cancer and COPD, at the community level.

The Influence of Intensity of TikTok Use on Consumer Behavior among Early Adult Hallyu Korean Wave Fans in Padang

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of TikTok usage intensity on consumer behavior among young adults who are fans of the Hallyu Korean Wave. This research employs a quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with a total of 100 young adult respondents who are fans of the Hallyu Korean Wave. Data were collected through questionnaires on TikTok usage intensity and consumer behavior, and analyzed using simple linear regression statistical tests. The statistical analysis results show an r value of 0.581 and an R square value of 33.7%, indicating a significant influence between the independent variable (TikTok usage intensity) and the dependent variable (consumer behavior) with a significance level of 0.000 (&lt; 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that a higher intensity of TikTok usage is associated with increased consumer behavior among young adult fans of the Hallyu Korean Wave.

Characterization of Anopheles mosquito breeding habitats for malaria vector control in Mazowe and Shamva districts, Zimbabwe.

Area-specific identification and studies of Anopheles breeding habitat diversity, distribution, and productivity in different seasons are important in designing and advancing effective malaria vector control according to the local context and needs. This study identified and characterized Anopheles breeding habitats for targeted control of malaria vectors in Mazowe and Shamva districts. Repeated cross-sectional surveys were conducted in Mazowe and Shamva districts between April and December 2023. Habitat productivity and physicochemical parameters were measured. Anopheles larvae were collected, reared to adults, and identified using morphological keys. SPSS software was used for data analysis. One-way ANOVA, Fisher's exact, Pearson's correlation, and simple linear regression tests were conducted. Seven different types of Anopheles breeding habitats were identified from 56 sites. The highest mean density of larvae was recorded in stream edge pools during the post-rainfall period. Anophelespretoriensis (67.4%), An. gambiae s.l. (23.1%), An. rufipes (9.2%) and An. coustani (0.38%) were breeding in the study area. Anopheles pretoriensis bred in all habitat types, An. coustani in swamps only while An. gambiae s.l. and An. rufipes preferred stream edge pools, roadside pools, and hoof prints. There was a significant positive correlation between larval density and dissolved oxygen (r = 0.535; p < 0.001) and conductivity (r = 0.288; p = 0.032). Size, origin, and type of breeding habitat were positive indicators for different Anopheles species in the study area. Potential malaria vector breeding habitats should be targeted for larval control under the current malaria control and elimination phases in the two districts.

Profiling the thermal damage gradient in concrete using linear and non-linear ultrasonics

Processes such as carbonation and thermal damage result in a depth-dependent variation in concrete mechanical properties, which are typically characterized by invasive sampling and destructive testing. In this study, several ultrasonic testing methods are employed to nondestructively measure gradients in elastic properties within concrete and mortar slabs, induced by varying amount of exposure to elevated temperatures. The slabs are subjected to two distinct heat exposures, carefully chosen to create different gradients within the first few centimeters below the surface. The first exposure scenario following the ISO fire standard led to superficial damage. Deeper damage was achieved with radiant panels. We use linear and non-linear ultrasonic testing, with the aim of characterizing the resulting property gradients including refracted P-waves, analysis of surface wave dispersion and higher harmonic generation. Additionally, we employ NRUS (nonlinear resonant ultrasound spectroscopy) to test slices extracted from the different depths within the slabs. The ultrasonic test results are benchmarked and interpreted in relation to a suite of other multiphysical measurements (resistivity, capacity, temperature). This work represents a first crucial step towards the development of a new method for measuring gradients of nonlinear elastic properties within concrete through nondestructive ultrasonic testing.

The Effect of the Mediterranean Diet Components on Blood Pressure, Mean Arterial Pressure, and Pulse Pressure in Hypertensive Patients

According to the 2018 Basic Health Research Data (RISKESDAS), the prevalence of hypertension in West Java was 39.6%, while in Cimahi City it was 41.83%. The composition of the Mediterranean diet contains a high proportion of MUFA and PUFA which act as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and cardioprotective with a potential to lower blood pressure. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of Mediterranean diet components on blood pressure in patients with hypertension. The study uses observational analytic methods as the design and also employs a prospective cohort sample of 36 patients with hypertension for three months, using a systematic random sampling technique. The research subjects were checked for blood pressure in the first month (T1) and the last month of the study (T2). The relative Mediterranean Diet (rMED) was used as a source of data on component intakes by administering the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) 12 times within three months. The differences in Mediterranean diet composition and blood pressure in all Mediterranean diet adherence groups were examined using the ANOVA test and Tuckey’s post-hoc test, as well as to test comparisons of proportions between rMED adherence groups. The impact of each component of the Mediterranean Diet on blood pressure was evaluated using a linear regression analysis test. The results showed that the average age of hypertensive patients who underwent the Mediterranean diet was 57.94 years and 69.44% were female. The components of fruit and nuts, vegetables, and fish have a significant effect on systolic blood pressure. Fish components have a significant effect on diastolic blood pressure. The components of vegetables and fish have a significant effect on the mean arterial pressure (MAP). Fruit and nut components have a significant effect on pulse pressure. The limitations of this study are the short research time, the absence of salt consumption restrictions on the Mediterranean diet, and the presence of smoking and physical activity as confounding activities. Pengaruh Good Corporate Governance, Reputasi Audit, Dan Leverage Terhadap Integritas Laporan Keuangan Dengan Moderasi Kualitas Audit

This research is quantitative research which aims to analyze the influence of Good Corporate Governance, auditor reputation, and leverage on the integrity of financial reports with audit quality as a moderating variable. The research was conducted on mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2019-2023 period. The data used is secondary data with a purposive sampling method. The data testing techniques used include the classic assumption test, multiple linear regression test, and moderated regression analysis (MRA) test. The research results show that GCG and auditor reputation have no effect, while leverage has a positive effect on the integrity of financial reports. Meanwhile, audit quality is unable to moderate the influence of GCG, auditor reputation, and leverage on the integrity of financial reports. Therefore, companies need to pay attention to factors that can affect the integrity of financial reports, especially related to the company's debt level.

The Learning Curves of Adelaide- and Gan-Modified Lim-Tsai Flexor Tendon Repair Techniques

Surgical performance that improves with experience is often depicted as representing a "learning curve." Although numerous studies examine the tensile properties of various flexor tendon repairs, few compare the associated learning curves. This study aims to address this gap by comparing the learning curves of Adelaide- and Gan-modified Lim-Tsai repairs. Emphasizing the difference in learning curves is crucial because it highlights the tension between achieving biomechanically superior repairs, which may be challenging to many surgeons, and opting for possibly incrementally less strong but more feasible techniques. We organized a workshop attended by 20 medical students whose experience in surgery was limited to a few suturing exercises. Each participant repaired five porcine tendons in situ either with Adelaide- or Gan-modified Lim-Tsai, followed by a peripheral suture. We tested all tendons with linear static testing to measure ultimate and yield loads. In addition, repair times were recorded for each repair. We used a linear mixed model to compare learning between the techniques. Ultimate loads increased with experience and were higher in Adelaide technique during the first two repairs, compared with Gan-modified Lim-Tsai (80 N vs 63 N and 79 N vs 66 N, respectively). Yield loads also increased with experience but did not differ between the repair techniques at any time point. Mean repair times decreased from 44 to 28 minutes and from 46 to 25 minutes with Adelaide- and Gan-modified Lim-Tsai repairs, respectively. The Adelaide core suture had a higher initial ultimate load capacity despite fewer suture strands, possibly indicating better tension consistency. The ultimate load of the Gan-modified Lim-Tsai repair increased between the first and fifth repair, and repeats were needed to achieve comparable results with the Adelaide repair. The results of this study suggest that both repair methods are suitable for novice surgeons, but Adelaide tends to result in higher strength from the first repair. Generalizability to other repairs should be made with caution.

Pengungkapan pada Hubungan Sustainability Report dan Intellectual Capital terhadap Nilai Perusahaan

This research related to company value aims to analyze the relationship between sustainability reports and intellectual capital in manufacturing companies in the industrial and consumption sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2020-2022 period. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, the results of which were 27 companies that met the research criteria. Data analysis uses SPSS Statistics 26 with descriptive statistical tests, normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, autocorrelation tests, multiple linear regression analysis, simultaneous tests, partial tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The research results show that sustainability reports do not provide an optimal contribution to company value. However, intellectual capital, especially the employee capital aspect, is a consideration for optimizing its contribution to company value.

Work Motivation of Soldiers of Batalyon 23 Group-2 Kopassus in Sukoharjo

This study aims to analyze the influence of work environment, compensation, education and career development on the work motivation of soldiers of the 23rd Battalion Group-2 Kopassus in Sukoharjo.This study uses a quantitative method with primary data collection and purposive sampling techniques using multiple linear regression analysis methods. The population in this study is all members of Detachment-1 Battalion-23 Group-2 Kopassus according to the personnel nominative set on October 1, 2023 with a sample of 50 soldiers, both non-commissioned officers and officers. The data analysis techniques used for statistical analysis were multiple linear regression tests, F tests, t tests, and determination coefficients. The results of the study showed that the variables of Work Environment, Compensation, and Career Development had an effect on the work motivation of soldiers of the 23rd battalion group-2 of Kopassus in Sukoharjo but the level of education had no effect on the work motivation of soldiers of the 23rd battalion group-2 of Kopassus in Sukoharjo. The variables of Work Environment, Compensation, Career Development and Education Level contributed to Motivation by 70.5% while the remaining 29.5% was explained by other variables that were not proposed in this study. Suggestions that can be given to Battalion 23 Group 2 Kopassus are expected to conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of the work environment, compensation and performance development because these variables have a significant influence on motivating soldiers. Pengaruh Komunikasi dalam Keluarga terhadap Motivasi Belajar Mahasiswa Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor

Communication in the family is important to create good relationships between family members. Lack of communication and parental attention can affect the learning motivation of 4th and 6th semester students of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting study program, Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire distributed to 67 student respondent. The data analysis technique uses a simple linear regression test and the (t) test. The results of study showed that communication in the family has an influence of 59,4% on the learning motivation of 4th and 6th semester students of the Islamic Communication and broadcasting study program, Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. In addition, see from the Beta Standard Coefficient value of 0,771, it means that communication in the family has a positive influence on student learning motivation.

Pengaruh Good Corporate Governance Terhadap Profitabilitas Perusahaan Manufaktur Sektor Barang Konsumsi yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2019-2022

This study to determine the influence of the independent commisioners, board of directory, and audit committee on the profitability of manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data uses secondary data with a population of 113 companies listed in the consumer goods sector on the IDX. The sampling applies purposive sampling totaling 52 companies. The data analysis uses classical assumption test, hypothesis testing, and linear regression test. The results show that: 1) The independent commissioners partially does not influence the company’s profitability, 2) Partially, the board of directors does not influence the company’s profitability, 3) Partially, the audit committee influence the company’s profitability, 4) while the independent commissioners, board of directors, and audit committee simultaneously influence the company’s profitability.

B-347 Analytical Performance Evaluation of the High Sensitivity PSA Assay and the Free PSAII Assay on the Atellica IM Analyzer

Abstract Background Measurement of serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels may be used in prostate cancer (PC) screening, but elevated PSA levels also are observed in patients with other etiologies such as benign prostatic hypertrophy. Studies suggest that measuring PSA with or before digital rectal examination (DRE) provides a better method of detecting PC than DRE alone. The free prostate specific antigen (fPSA) assay is an aid for distinguishing PC from benign prostate conditions in men 50 years or older with PSA values 4.0-10.0 ng/mL (µg/L) and DRE findings nonsuspicious for PC. The goal of this study was to evaluate the analytical performance of the high sensitivity PSA (hsPSA)* and free PSA (fPSAII)* assays on the Atellica® IM Analyzer. Methods Detection capability studies were performed per CLSI EP17-A2. Precision testing was performed per CLSI EP05-A3 with native human serum and QC samples, 3 reagent lots, 1 analyzer, 2 runs/day, 2 replicates/run for 20 days. For Atellica® hsPSA and fPSAII assays a multi-site reproducibility study was conducted per CLSI EP-05 A3 using native and contrived serum samples, 3 reagent lots, and 3 different sites and analyzers; samples were assayed in triplicate for five days, two runs/day ∼2 hours apart. Linearity testing was performed per CLSI EP06-A on a dilution series made from a high PSA sample (native human male serum pool) and a low sample (native human female serum), 4 replicates, 3 reagent lots, and 1 analyzer. Specimen equivalency was determined by Weighted Deming regression model per CLSI EP09c-ed3. Results Results are presented in the table. Conclusions The Atellica IM hsPSA assay and fPSAII assays detection capability, precision, linearity, and specimen equivalency were acceptable. *CAUTION: Investigational Device. Not available for sale. Future availability cannot be guaranteed. The results are preliminary and were achieved in unique setting with no expected timeline for completion.

The Effect of Scramble Model on Student Activeness of Class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pademawu

This research is motivated by the fact that student activity is quite crucial in the learning process which ultimately has an impact on increasing their learning activity. So, in order to increase students' active learning, social studies teachers can use models that are interesting and appropriate to students' needs. The aim of this research is to find out whether the scramble model has an effect on student activity. There are 2 problem formulations that are studied in this research, 1) What is the influence of the scramble learning model on student activity in class VIII social studies at SMP Negeri 1 Pademawu 2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for using the scramble model on student activity in social studies subjects class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Pademawu. This research uses quantitative descriptive research methods with simple linear regression data analysis techniques used in this research is simple linear regression. The research results show that the scramble learning model can increase student activity in teaching and learning activities. This is shown by the results of a simple linear regression analysis test with a sig value smaller than the alpha value, namely 0.00 &lt; 0.05, which means the scramble model has a positive and significant effect on student activity. influenced by the results of the coefficient of determination test which produced an influence value of 56% on student activity at SMP Negeri 1 Pademawu, while the rest was influenced by 44%. Next, it can be seen that the results of the calculated t are greater than the t table, namely 9.582 &gt; 1.993, meaning that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So this shows that the scramble.

B-112 Regression Analysis Techniques for Assessing Calibration Reproducibility Within and Between Instruments. A Practical Example with Blood Ca²⁺ Assayed with Two cobas® b 221Analyzers

Abstract Background Reproducibility of the calibration curve within the analytical measurement range (AMR) is crucial for ensuring reliable patient values within and between laboratory instruments to detect shifts and trends of clinical significance. In this practical example for ionized calcium (Ca²⁺) assayed with two cobas b221® instruments, the equality of calibration lines and the verification with patient specimen comparison study was assessed with regression analysis techniques. Methods Instruments: Two cobas b 221 (Roche Diagnostics). Calibration material: COOX/MSS™ (Five levels, Roche Diagnostics). This was independently assayed either three or five times in parallel with both instruments. The patient specimens were obtained by venipuncture in Na/Li-heparin BD™ tubes (Becton-Dickinson). Upon receipt, specimens were assayed with both instruments within two minutes. The data were transferred to Minitab® (Version 21, Minitab Inc) statistical software and analyzed with polynomial ordinary least squares (POLS), orthogonal and locally weighted scatterplot smoother (lowess) regression analysis models. The aptness of the model was assessed with standardized residuals (std. res.) diagnostics. For acceptable total error the CLIA’s criterion target value ± 10% was adopted. Results While the POLS model did not show probabilistically significant differences between instruments (P=0.8), it showed probabilistically significant differences between years (P=0.003). However, this was due to a small MSE (= 0.003 mg/dL), which is not clinically significant. The test for linearity showed probabilistically significant lack-of-fit (P&amp;lt;0.0001) due to a small MS pure error (&amp;lt;0.0001 mg/dL). The lowess for the standardized deleted residuals by the fitted value showed a quasi-linear relationship. The multiple comparisons (P=0.3) and the Levene’s (P=0.4) tests did not detect probabilistically significant heteroscedasticity of the variance by reference value. The plot of the std. res. by the leverage showed two possible outliers (std. res.&amp;gt;|3|) and no influential observations (Hi&amp;lt;0.5). These diagnostics proved the aptness of the POLS model. The harmonization between the two instruments was verified with patient specimens. The orthogonal regression model showed in the interval 3-6 mg/dL a quasi-linear relationship between the values as obtained with the two instruments. The orthogonal regression line (y=0.1+1.02 n) and the OLS regression line (y=0.03+601 n) were very similar. There was no probabilistically significant lack-of-fit (P=0.5). The plot of the std. res. by the leverage showed one possible outlier (std.res.&amp;gt;|3|) and no influential observations. Additionally, the plot of the relative differences between the values as obtained with b221#9371 and b221#24796 by the values as obtained with b221#9371 showed only one value exceeding half of the total allowable error. Conclusions The POLS model clearly showed that the calibration lines for the two instruments were quasi-linear in the interval 2-10 mg/dL and reproducible within and between instruments. Additionally, this reliable performance was verified with patient specimens in the interval 3-6 mg/dL. The differences between values as obtained with each instrument were within half of the CLIA’s total allowable error. This clearly showed that equality of calibration lines ensured interchangeable patient values between instruments. Finally, electronic transfer of data and the availability of statistical software like Minitab was crucial for conducting this study.
