A nonperturbativeC\(\bar C\) component in the light quark fragmentation can naturally account for all the neutrino induced like sign dimuon data. The perturbativeC\(\bar C\) component falls short of data by at least a factor 10, when one uses the constraint on charm quark mass from muonproduction of charm. Several kinematic distributions can be used to discriminate the nonperturbativeC\(\bar C\) model from the perturbative one as well as from the background. The available data on distributions seem to favour the nonperturbative model predictions.
