Тoday, transactions with the participation of citizens for the purchase of so-called “apartments”, which constitute a specific object of housing relations, are becoming more and more widespread in the real estate market. In this regard, it is of interest to consider issues related to the concept of “apartments” as an object of housing relations, the definition of the essence of apartments as an object for temporary and permanent residence. The analysis of the aspects of the legislative regulation of relations, the object of which are apartments is conducted. In the course of the research, some problems were identified that require legislative resolution. Attention is drawn to the need to observe the “balance of interests” when making appropriate decisions by the legislator.
