Within the framework of the presented work, the concept of the military-industrial complex is studied from the perspective of the theory of investment law, current investment legislation and special regulatory requirements related to this area. In the doctrine of Russian jurisprudence, there are opposing points of view regarding the definition of the military-industrial complex. Some authors reduce it exclusively to the fulfillment of the state defence order, which is neither a correct formulation, since the state defence order is an integral part of the military-industrial complex, nor its entire component. Other researchers, on the contrary, interpret the military-industrial complex too broadly and include the Russian Ministry of Defence and its institutions, military units, etc. The article concludes that the military-industrial complex has special distinctive (qualifying) features in certain aspects of its private law regulation.
