Found mostly in academic libraries, this subscription-only, Web-based database is produced by NISC (National Information Services Corporation). A subject search on affirmative action conducted in July 1998, yielded more than 500 items: articles in women's studies journals, feminist magazines, and gender studies journals; reviews of new books; book citations; government reports; and more. The database is a composite of nine sources including Women Studies Abstracts (since 1984) and Women's Studies Database (since 1972).
