Designing Bkd Website Based In Industrial Engineering Department Of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur

Lecturer Workload (BKD) is a portrait of the lecturer workload in the implementation of University’s Tri Dharma in the next semester. In college academic activities, the reporting of Lecturer Workload (BKD) is important because it is concerned with the productivity of lecturer’s performance. The lecturer workload is commensurate with a minimum of 12 credits and a maximum of 16 credits in each semester in accordance with academic qualifications. The Department of Industrial Engineering of UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur has implemented a manual lecturer workload reporting system and indirectly the high potential obstacles to the evaluation process. So that in its application Lecturer Workload reporting (BKD) must be able to facilitate between lecturers, assessors and head of department in coordination. This research aims to produce Lecturer Workload Information System (BKD) effectively and efficiently. The design of this system uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method. From the results obtained, the output of this system is that lecturers report their performance online, assessors can verify files easily, and study programs can monitor lecturers' performance. It is hoped that the Lecturer Workload Information System (BKD) can help the Industrial Engineering Study Program of the East Java National Veterans Development University in conducting the lecturer workload reporting process (BKD)

Top Management Support Functions in Higher Education Management Accounting Information Systems

The function of the management accounting information system is very important in universities, as it provides input to leaders for accurate decision making. Higher education leaders must listen more and provide good work management and require an accounting system in order to survive amid the heavy workload of lecturers that are not balanced with balanced wages. Accounting information systems can help universities expand their reach to remote locations, acquire new forms and workflows, and possibly change teaching patterns virtually. The management accounting information system is a collection (integration) of sub-systems / components, both physical and non-physical, which are interconnected and harmoniously cooperate with each other to process transaction data related to financial matters into financial information. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of top management support on the function of the accounting system. The unit of analysis in this research is the related sub-unit within the management of higher education institutions in South Sumatra-Indonesia. The results showed that top management support greatly influenced the function of the management accounting information system. The results of the study found that the life cycle of accounting information system development supports top management which includes planning, design and implementation (top management support is conceptualized as the involvement and participation of top-level management of the organization in information technology / accounting information system activities on lecturer work reports, lecturer salaries and managers. Bir Lisansüstü Dersin Kalitesinin Artırılması: Kalite Fonksiyon Göçerimi Yönteminin Kano Modeli ile Bütünleştirilmesi

There is an important relationship between the quality of undergraduate education and competitiveness in the global economy, especially for emerging economies. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is one of the important methodologies in Total Quality Management (TQM) to translate customer requirements into technical specifications. The purpose of this study is to apply Third Generation Western QFD methodology together with Kano model to categorize and prioritize the needs of customers to increase a graduate-level course quality in higher education. To this end, the Voice of the Customer was identified through the Kano technique that enables categorization and prioritization of student requirements. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first empirical study in the literature that integrates the aforementioned methodologies in the field of higher education. With this integration, a focused quality house was generated which includes only prominent student and technical requirements. Accordingly, the prominent student requirements, which are classified as one-dimensional needs, are found to be the ones that are mostly lecturer-oriented attributes, such as the lecturer's theoretical and industrial knowledge. The interaction of the course with the industry, such as technical trips and invited speakers, which are called as attractive needs, are found to increase student satisfaction by creating delight. The prominent technical requirements are found to be budget/funds, number of students enrolled, lecturer workload, industry trip, good communication/empathy, lecturer qualifications, and competency in teaching. The combined framework may help educational decision-makers to identify and satisfy the main student requirements to enhance the quality of educational service processes.

The Correlation of Length of Work and Mental Workload with Work Stress at University Lecturers

The main role of lecturers at Tri Dharma University, namely education, research, and community service. That makes them have certain responsibilities which if it lasts a long time will cause stress. This study aims to determine the correlation between work time and mental workload with work stress on college lecturers in Surabaya. This descriptive study was conducted on 43 active lecturers who teach at a university in Surabaya. The results of this study were analyzed to determine the lecturer’s length of work, the mental workload of lecturers with categories from NASA TLX and their correlation with work stress. The results stated that 22 people had worked for more than 20 years, as many as 25 people had very high mental workloads, and 30 people with mild stress. Most of the lecturers already have a lot of experience and a large number of task demands but are still able to deal with everything well so that work stress does not arise. The correlation value between the length of work and work stress is 0.461, and the correlation value between mental workload and work stress is 0.808. This value states there is no correlation between the length of work and mental workload with work stress. Recommendations are given to universities, lecturers and all those involved in efforts to maintain the atmosphere and work culture to improve comfort for all parties, such as adding green areas in the workspace, providing remuneration for lecturers who excel, and maintaining communication between lecturers.

Android-Based Lecturer Workload Simulation Application

In carrying out their duties, lecturers must conduct Tri dharma education activities which include teaching, research and service according to their respective fields of science. Every tri dharma activity carried out must be reported once every semester in the form of a lecturer workload report.The number of activities contained in the rubric makes many lecturers experience confusion to calculate how the credit performance in the Tridharma activities carried out. Therefore, it is necessary to have a simulation application that helps the calculation of credit performance of Tridharma activities in accordance with the BKD rubric. The lecturer workload simulation application can help lecturers to calculate credits for the Tridharma activities that have been carried out. The lecturer workload simulation application can also provide information on what physical evidence needs to be prepared by the lecturer.

One important point in carrying out the functions of the Tridharma of Higher Education by lecturers is to carry out research and publish the results of their thoughts and analyzes. The demands of publication by the academic community of Higher Education have a considerable impact on the awareness of the lecturers of the importance of conducting studies, research and writing scientific works. The development of scientific work in Indonesia has been relatively better, especially since the enactment of government regulations, which required S1, S2 and S3 students to write articles in scientific journals as one of the prerequisites for graduation. Lecturers certainly have greater demands to actively write in scientific journals both at accredited national level and reputable international journals. So the authors conducted this study aimed at analyzing the correlation of the level of lecturer workload to the increase in the number of publications. STIKOM Tunas Bangsa does not yet have a system to analyze the level of lecturer workload with an increase in the number of studies. For this reason, it is necessary to apply the Backpropagation algorithm. ANN combined with the Backpropagation algorithm can measure the level of correlation. The variables used are structural positions, number of even and odd semester credits, number of services. The target used is the amount of research. So the pattern of correlation between the two variables is formed. The output of the lecturer workload is reduced by the target which is the number of publications. So the results obtained are correlations between lecturers' workloads to the increase in the number of publications.

GAMBARAN BEBAN KERJA MENTAL PADA DOSEN FAKULTAS X UNIVERSITAS X

Lecturers are responsible for implementing the three main responsibilities in university (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi) with 12 credits to 16 credits each semester. However, many lecturers feel that the workload is very excessive. The purpose of this study was to describe the mental workload of lecturers at the Faculty of X Padjadjaran University. The method of this research was quantitative descriptive by using a total sampling technique involving 43 lecturers. Data collection used NASA-TLX instruments. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that overall the mental workload of the Faculty of X Padjadjaran University lecturers was included in the high category both in education and teaching assignments (74.4%), research assignments (76.7%), and community service assignments (74.4%). ) Effort dimensions have the highest mean value that is equal to 51.8, while the dimensions that have the lowest mean are Perfomance dimension, namely 9.4, where the greater the mean dimension shows the large contribution in the mental workload felt by the lecturer. The conclusions, this study show that most lecturers have a high mental workload. It is suggested that the lecturers need to have balance numbers of tasks according to their abilities, balance the time working with recreation, and meet the needs of rest. The results of this study need to be followed up by examining methods or efforts that can reduce the lecturers' mental workload.

The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of the Leadership preparation of the Chair of the Study Program in the development of human resources (HR) based on Minangkabau culture, the characteristics of leadership implementation Chair of the Study Program in the development of human resources (HR) based on Minangkabau culture, and leadership control characteristics in the development of human resources (HR) based on Minangkabau culture. The results of the study can be concluded that (1) preparation for the development of lecturer human resources, refers to the implementation of the quality of lecturerstheoretically and practically. The activity prepared for the development of humanresources education personnel is through training in the administration of workthrough the development of educational human resources, HR mentoring and HRCoaching. Preparation of activities in the development of student human resourcesis through intra-curricular and extracurricular programs, (2) the implementationof lecturer human resource development, carried out in the form of curriculumevaluation, implementation of the Higher Education Tridharma, collaboration withother institutions or agencies, and further study of the lecturer Doctoral Program.The implementation of the development of human resources in human resources is carried out through the development of general competencies, the development of functional competencies, and the development of managerial competencies ofeducation personnel. The implementation of activities in the development of student human resources is through intra-curricular and extracurricular programs, and (3) controlling the development of lecturer human resources, carried out through the lecturer workload (BKD. Lecturer Workload Optimization Applying Interactive Visualization

Lecturers are required to perform three basic activities to be accomplished each semester, i.e. teaching, performing research, and participating in community services. However, capturing lecturer productivity for the evaluation purposes is a complex problem. This research aims to design and develop a tool to visualize and conceive lecturer workload. Instead of analysing text-based big data distribution, this research adopted interactive visualization approach that offers interaction to support lecturer workload exploratory data analysis. This approach consists of overview, zoom and filter, and detail on demand. The result is able to show the workload of each lecturer in three different level: lecturer level, head of department level, and institution level, thus made it easier to examine each lecturer activity and productivity. The contribution of this research is to provide a visualization tool for determining fair and reasonable workload for lecturers to optimize their productivity and evaluate their work rate distribution.

The long-term goal of this research is to improve the research performance of Research Institute and Pegabdian to the Society of Islamic University of Borneo Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari specifically to the Institutional Information System which must be improved from time to time continuously following developments especially in the submission of program proposals by the Directorate Research and Community Service (DRPM) Directorate General of Research and Development Strengthening. Target to be achieved is to make an application that can map data result of research performance of lecturer of UNISKA MAB Banjarmasin using Waterfall method also documentation of system development become very organized, where every step must be completed perfectly before stepping to next stage. It is expected that with this method the Information System made will be good and in accordance with the objectives of the study so that there is no repetition in the title proposal and implementers in accordance with the requirements that have been determined and support in the completeness of Lecturer such as for Lecturer Workload, Employee Work Objectives, easier lecturer certification accessed in existing data retrieval. A Framework for a Multi-Layered Security of an Automated Programming Code Assessment Tool

In a learning environment, a low student-lecturer ratio is considered a practical solution by many educational institutions. However, the number of students in information technology is increasing every year. This could lead to a significant increase in the workload of lecturers, who need to evaluate assignments, quizzes and projects. Hence, it is desirable that an automated assessment tool is used to lessen their workload. In the era where mobile devices are getting popularity, the high demand to execute suitable quality code is there and the cost is on the processing power of the CPU which has a direct implication on the power source or the battery used. With various implementations of cryptography algorithms available, many of them could satisfy different level of needs. In this research, we introduce the architecture for a multi-layered security of automated assessment of programming code. First, we review the existing research studies in the area. We describe the features of the tool, as part of a complex e-learning environment. We also discuss the implementation of security, to protect data transmission and storage used by the tool. Challenges the system might face and the potential solutions, are also described.

Theory-Driven Design of a Mobile-Learning Application to Support Different Interaction Types in Large-Scale Lectures

Universities face increasing numbers of students leading to increasingly large lectures, and decreasing interaction and collaboration, which are important factors for learning success and satisfaction. The use of IT can help overcoming this challenge by increasing the interaction in large-scale lectures without massively increasing the workload of lecturers. In this research-in-progress paper, we present the design and pre-test of a mobile-learning application aiming to increase the interaction in large-scale lectures and the learning success of learners. For designing our application, we follow a design science research approach. We rely on insights from interaction theory as well as requirements gathered from lecturers and students in a focus group workshop. A pre-test of our application showed high values for Perceived Usefulness, User Satisfaction, and Perceived Presentation Quality for the overall application and moreover high values for Performance Expectancy and Intention to Use of all but one functions. The results show that the application is ready for being used in large-scale lectures. As a next step, the application will be used in one of our large-scale lectures aiming to evaluate whether using our application has a positive impact on interaction, satisfaction and learning success.

This study compares continual assessment data, intake numbers, retention numbers and final examination grades of a mixed cohort of face-to-face and distance learners against similar data from previous years where e-learning materials were not used in order to test whether e-learning materials can support the same quality and quantity of teaching and learning for both face-to-face and distance learners. The results for this cohort of learners demonstrate that: (i) distance e-learners score as well and sometimes better than face-to-face learners; (ii) face-to-face student numbers have increased; (iii) overall, student retention and student attendance have been maintained; (iv) final examination results have been maintained or in some cases improved; (v) lecturer workload was high, but not unmanageable, and it is clear how manageability can be improved.DOI:10.1080/0968776030110307
