Analisis Sentimen Terhadap Data Kuisioner Evaluasi Dosen Menggunakan Algoritma Naïve Bayes

Students' satisfaction with the quality of lecturers' way of teaching is oneof theimportant things in higher education institutions. Universitas Ichsan Gorontalo hasimplemented an online questionnaire as student feedback to determine and evaluatethe performance of lecturers. The Faculty of Computer Science is one of the facultiesthathasimplementedthequestionnairefillingsystem.Thequestionnaireismandatoryfor all students as a requirement to join a course contract at the beginning of thesemester. The evaluation of the performance of lecturers during lectures has a veryimportantrole.Itimprovesthequalityoflearningandacademicstandardization.Thisstudy aims to determine the level of student satisfaction with the services of lecturerswhen teaching. This study applies sentiment analysis using the Naïve Bayes Classifierclassificationmethod.ItalsoemploystheweightingmethodusingtheTermFrequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF). The results of this study have determined theclassification of the lecturer service questionnaire data. The results are easy to read.Theresultsofthesurveyonthelevelofstudentsatisfactionwithlecturerservicesfrom1,989dataindicatethat1,946datahavepositivesentimentsand43datahavenegativesentiments.TheresultsgainedfromtheNaïve Bayesaccuracy is 97%accuracy.

Determinants of customer-perceived service quality in higher education: the roles of job satisfaction and organizational commitment

PurposeThis study aims to examine the constructs of job satisfaction and organizational commitment (OC) as the determinants of customer-perceived service quality in higher education context. It also explores the role of OC in mediating the dynamics of the relationship.Design/methodology/approachIt applied the cross-sectional, ex post facto survey method to acquire data from 1,776 respondents at Aden University. Two sets of questionnaires on job satisfaction, OC and perceived service quality were filled out by 296 academic staff and 1,480 students. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.FindingsThe results showed that job satisfaction exercised a significant positive effect on OC and students’ perception of service quality (i.e. the quality of lectures delivered in class that shaped their learning experiences). OC also significantly affected students’ perception of service quality and partially mediated the effect of job satisfaction on perceived service quality.Research limitations/implicationsThe current research only investigated the outcomes of job satisfaction and did not cover critical antecedents of job satisfaction, such as employee training and development, rewards and benefits and the like. Its outcomes have important implications for managing the link between organizational practices and customers perception of service quality in higher education context.Practical implicationsThe results have accentuated the importance of universities’ ensuring and increasing faculty’s job satisfaction and commitment if they seek to enhance students’ perception of service quality. Universities can do so by improving their organizational practices, which are expected to result in faculty well-being and improved working conditions.Originality/valueThe results have contributed new insights into the current understanding of the dynamics between and among job satisfaction, OC and customers’ perceptions of service quality. It has demonstrated how OC is shaped by job satisfaction and can influence the quality of services rendered by employees if they are happy and satisfied with the organization.

Accounting Lecture Quality Factors during Online Learning: Student Perceptions

This research aimed to identify and understand the key factors influencing the effectiveness of online learning, with a specific focus on accounting courses. To achieve this goal, the study relied on the assessments and perceptions of students in the accounting department engaged in online learning. This study provided a model example to uncover the key factors and connections between the quality of online learning and its advantages in accounting education. The research was organized into three main phases: initially presenting the research concept, defining the goals and the essential components of the study. Subsequently, the research continued with a review of the literature, integrating scientific contributions from around the world and linking them to the research hypotheses. The research revealed three key factors in the quality of online learning: Factor 1, Access and communication between students and professors in online learning, emphasizing the importance of interaction and accessibility in this context; Factor 2, The security of platforms and the content of electronic learning, identifying the significance of technology safety and content security; and Factor 3, The ease of use and flexibility of access in online learning, improving student autonomy and global access to content. Hypothesis 1 confirmed that the factors of online learning quality were influenced by the context and the structure of online learning, including specific requirements. Hypothesis 2 asserted that the advantages of online learning were linked to the acceptability of electronic assistance, self-efficiency, and students’ intention to use electronic learning. Hypothesis 3 confirmed that quality factors had a strong correlation with the advantages of online learning in the field of accounting. This research, through student feedback and perspectives, contributed to a deeper understanding of online learning and the importance of quality factors in promoting it in the accounting field. In summary, this research highlights the crucial link between quality attributes and the benefits of online learning in accounting education. It is recommended that educators and institutions prioritize these attributes to enhance the effectiveness of online education, offering valuable insights for the development of more efficient and advantageous online learning environments.

Real-time lecture's micro-quality assessment for diabetic students based on IoTs and real-time cloud computing technologies

Students with diabetes mellitus require more academic attention, intensive flow up, and a moderate temperature environment during classes. In this paper, the learning process for those students is improved by using the internet of things (IoTs) and cloud computing technologies. The proposed system improves lecture quality using lecture micro quality which is based on lecture time segmentation. Therefore, the designed system provides each student with a microcontroller-based node to collect information about his understanding status in a real-time fashion. Based on this information, the system provides the lecturer with real-time statistical calculations about vital parameters such as the understanding status of each student, the level of the classroom's understanding ratio, and the total number of students who did not understand the topic which is being explained. The designed system is practically tested in a real classroom environment. The implemented system is practically tested in a real classroom environment and the obtained results showed up an improvement in lecture quality due to the real-time feedback which informed the lecturer to adapt the learning technique.

MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN KUALITAS PELAYANAN DOSEN, PENGARUHNYA PADA LITERASI KEUANGAN MAHASISWA AKUNTANSI UNIVERSITAS PATTIMURA

Financial literacy focuses on understanding and implementing financial concepts it in real life. This study aims to examine the influence of learning motivation and service quality of lecturers on student financial literacy. These two variables are very rarely investigated by previous studies. To answer these questions quantitative research methods using the SPSS application. Questionnaires used to be processed with SPSS to answer research questions from as many as 192 respondents. 192 respondents were Pattimura University accounting students who were studying in the even semester of 2022/2023 and were willing to voluntarily become respondents. The results show that motivation affects literacy while the financial quality of lecturer services does not affect financial literacy. Thus, the lecturer always fosters a spirit of student motivation in the activities of each lecture so that students continue to increase their understanding of financial literacy

Student Perceptions of the Implementation of the Concept of Organizer Teacher and Freedom in Learning in Earth and Space Science (ESS) Lectures

The research was conducted to collect students’ perceptions about lecturers' competence in implementing the course, student activity, and atmosphere of course, students' ability to hold material of learning in earth and space science. The research method used was quasi-experimental. The research was carried out in 2 steps where the first step was the control stage carried out using the discussion method. The next step was the treatment stage carried out using innovative discussion methods. The final step gave students the freedom to ask questions about the material earth and space science that they want to know. Student perceptions were obtained using a questionnaire instrument. The results of data analysis in this study show that the quality of lecturers' abilities in managing lectures is in the good category for the control stage and very good for the treatment stage, the lecture atmosphere is pleasant (control) and very pleasant (treatment), students feel active (control), and very active (treatment) in lectures, students' ability to hold a lot of course material (control) and very much (treatment). It was concluded that the innovative discussion method in earth and space science course was able to improve the quality of the lecture process.

Systematic Literature Review: The Trend of English for Midwifery Teaching Material in The Digital Era

This study aims to conduct a literature review related to the trend of English for midwifery teaching material in the digital era. The research method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Data collection is done by documenting articles that have similar research. The articles used were 12 national journals indexed by Google Scholar published period 2011-2023. Based on this research, it was found that midwifery English teaching materials are in the form of printed and digital teaching materials. 58% printed midwifery English teaching materials are in the form of booklets, modules, pocket books and textbooks. 42% Digital midwifery English teaching materials in the form of web, android, duolingo applications and google classroom application. Based on the SWOT analysis that has been carried out, there are weaknesses in the existing midwifery English teaching materials, namely that they are less supportive when used independently by students without being accompanied by a teacher and require other technology to access them. Therefore, improvements should be made in the development of midwifery English teaching materials so that they can help students understand the material optimally. This research is expected to provide additional knowledge for ESP English lecturers, especially in the field of midwifery, so as to increase the creativity and quality of lecturers in making midwifery English teaching materials. This research qualifies, elaborates and describes previous research regarding the trend of English for midwifery teaching material in the digital era, based on the searches that have been done no one has conducted this research.

Technology Support for Distance Learning at Indonesia’s Underdeveloped Regions Universities

The Ministry of Education (MoE) provided technology support to strengthen the educational capacity during the COVID-19 Pandemic. MoE’s support include educational tablets (DIKTI Edu), SPADA DIKTI (online platform of distance learning), internet satellite (VSAT), and Mobile VSAT. This research aims to assess the impact of three main aspects: the support of online learning, inequality in access to education, and increasing the quality of lecturers and the learning process. A survey of 657 undergraduate students was conducted based on a purposive stratified sampling in underdeveloped areas from four chosen provinces. Descriptive statistics and a before-after tests were done. Results shows that the devices were received well and has been used as their primary device for distance learning. Moreover, the impact was promising because all three aspects indicated significant positive effects. Nonetheless, the MoE still must tackle some drawbacks:1. Students facing technical barriers feel that improvement in the accessibility to install vital software needed and providing a device with a sim card slot ,for online learning is prominent, 2. Socialization of SPADA DIKTI and access to more relevant materials for broader students is also recommended and 3. In-depth studies on student I.T. awareness and further dynamics of grades should be conducted.

Analysis of Lecturer Performance In Increasing Productivity of Indonesian Polytechnic Venezuela In Aceh Besar

Higher education is one of the subsystems of national education. The presence of higher education plays a crucial role in the life of the nation and the state. The quality of higher education depends on the quality of lecturers, especially in terms of their professional competence, which will contribute to the improvement of the quality of higher education and ultimately have an impact on the progress of national education. Lecturers have primary duties and obligations outlined in the "tridharma" of higher education, and these duties must be reported to the institution and higher education service institutions each semester, resulting in periodic work performance outcomes often referred to as the lecturer's workload. Lecturer's Workload is a performance report that includes components related to educational delivery, research, community service, and supporting activities within a specified time frame. This research aims to analyze the performance of lecturers in improving the productivity of the Polytechnic of Indonesia Venezuela. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the performance achievements of Poliven lecturers in terms of career development or promotions have not improved the productivity of Poliven. This is because, on average, Poliven lecturers are not consistent in proposing functional positions or promotions in accordance with the established schedule. The performance achievements of Poliven lecturers in the field of the three pillars of higher education, particularly in education and teaching, meet the workload targets well, thus enhancing Poliven's productivity. However, the performance achievements of Poliven lecturers in the field of research and community service have seen only a slight improvement and meet the workload targets. This is because there have been no research or community service results that have obtained intellectual property rights (HAKI) or patents.

Studying the theoretical framework of organisational citizenship behaviour of teachers

Organisational citizenship behaviours are discretionary behaviours that go beyond one's official role and are intended to help others in the organisation or demonstrate devotion and support for the organisation. Organisational citizenship behaviours in the educational context in the study of Z. Donglong, et al. (2020) [1], there are other characteristics of lecturers. The 3 main tasks of university lecturers include research, teaching, and serving students. The quality of lecturer’s teaching and student service may depend on their enthusiasm, or willingness to participate, but these cannot be found in official job descriptions. Other tasks such as participating in department activities or spending private time with students are typical examples of off-duty behavior of lecturers. Therefore, university lecturers' organisational citizenship behaviours can be an important indicator for evaluating the quality of job performance. It is critical to understand the factors that motivate faculty to engage in activities beyond the requirements of their job role. Based on those studies, the author of the article has built a research model on factors affecting lecturers' OCB in the current context of educational innovation.

Evaluasi Kinerja Dosen Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Informasi pada Semester Ganjil Tahun Akademik 2022/2023

This article discusses the importance of lecturer professionalism in achieving national education goals in universities, especially in the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program at Bumigora University. The professionalism of lecturers includes pedagogic, professional, personality, and social competencies, which play a role in creating a quality educational environment. This study explains how the evaluation of lecturer performance is carried out through questionnaires filled out by students and how the results of this evaluation are used to motivate lecturers to improve the quality of education. The evaluation results show that the level of student satisfaction with the overall performance of lecturers is very good, but there is still room for improvement. Social Competence was rated highest, while Personality Competence had the lowest level of satisfaction. These results show that the professionalism of lecturers in terms of social interaction can be improved. Evaluation of lecturer performance is an important step in ensuring the quality of higher education and encouraging lecturers to continuously improve their professionalism. This article concludes that efforts to improve the professionalism of lecturers need to continue so that higher education remains of high quality and in accordance with national education goals

EVALUASI STRATEGIK BERBASIS STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP DI LEMBAGA PENDIDIKAN

ABSTRACT Strategic Evaluation is very important to be carried out by every educational institution because in practice there are still many educational institutions that do not do it intensively, which has an impact on the sustainability of the institution and this is where strategic leadership has an important role. This research aims to obtain information about the implementation of strategic evaluation based on strategic leadership and the results of the Strategy Evaluation carried out at STAI Muhammadiyah Tulungagung. This research is qualitative research with a case study type, the data collection methods used are in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. The results of strategy evaluation activities carried out by STAI Muhammadiyah Tulungagung include: 1) holding workshops and mentoring for lecturers which brought in presenters from various circles, namely senior lecturers and presenters from Kopertais IV Surabaya, 2) holding meetings which were held at the beginning of the lecture and at the end of the lecture at the same time joint evaluation, 3) placing lecturers according to their expertise, 4) collaborating with various existing institutions to improve the quality of lecturers and students, 5) increasing the number of students by making collaboration between students and lecturers more effective in looking for new students as well as collaborating with Ketanon Village and providing scholarships free tuition until graduation. Online lecture strategies for quality training of future primary school teachers

The purpose of the study is to determine the features of online lectures, essential characteristics and possibilities of implementing strategies for their implementation in the training of future primary school teachers. The research was conducted with students of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education in the speciality 013 Primary education of one of the state universities of Ukraine. For its implementation, the analysis of literature was carried out in the direction of scientific research, which made it possible to determine the conceptual apparatus and theoretical basis of this study. Based on this, strategies for quality training of future primary school teachers were determined. What found practical implementation in the construction of the structure of the online lecture, which will contribute to its effective conduct. Based on the generalization of practical experience for each of the structural parts of the online lecture, means, tools and techniques that promote active interaction, student involvement and reflection have been selected and organized. We see prospects for further research on this topic: in the development and improvement of existing strategies and structures of online lectures for effective training of future primary school teachers; in the study of the impact of online lectures on academic achievement and motivation of students; in the development and implementation of new technologies and tools to improve the quality of online lectures. The results of the study can be used by scientists, teachers of higher education institutions, academic leaders and managers to ensure high-quality and effective training of future primary school teachers in the online environment.

The Use of Free Learning Prototype Curriculum in Blended Learning to Improve the Quality Counseling Technique Practice Lectures for Student Guidance and Counseling Study Program

Implementation of the independent learning campus policy is to encourage a more independent and flexible quality of learning in higher education. Only a few of the students were able to follow this development. The aims of this study is to analyze implementation of free learning prototype curriculum in blended learning to improve the quality counseling technique practice lectures for student guidance and counseling study program.This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experiment. The population in this study were students of the Guidance and Counseling study program, who were taking the Counseling Approach course in the even semester of 2021/2022. The instrument used is a questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale model. The results of the reliability test of the lecture quality instrument were 0.922. The research data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The research findings show that with the correlation obtained from the SPSS output display model summary 26.00 showing the magnitude of the hypothesis test results obtained r-count = 0.329 and r-table = 0.312 so that the results of r-count > r-table (0.329 > 0.312). This shows that there is a positive influence on the strategy of using the independent learning curriculum to improve the quality of lectures in a positive direction.

Pelatihan Pengisian Beban Kerja Dosen (BKD) Berbasis Sistem Informasi Sumber Daya Terintegrasi (SISTER)

Lecturer Workload (BKD) is a detailed report on Tri Dharma Higher Education activities carried out by lecturers which includes education and teaching activities, research, community service, and supporting activities which are reported every semester. The purpose of the training activities is to increase lecturers' knowledge, understanding and skills in filling out BKD through SISTER, increase lecturers' understanding of BKD provisions in accordance with applicable operational guidelines, and increase lecturers' awareness of the obligation to complete portfolio evidence for filling in BKD independently through SISTER. The methods used to achieve the training objectives are lecture, practice and discussion methods. The results show that there is an increase in lecturers' understanding of training materials and awareness for filling out the BKD portfolio through SISTER. Recommendations for further activities in order to improve the quality and career development of lecturers, namely training in the publication of scientific articles, training and writing community service activities in community service journals.

Relationship between quality of learning and student inter-university transfer in private universities in Kenya

The study sought to investigate the relationship between the quality of learning and student inter-university transfer in private universities in Kenya. This study targeted 26 registered private universities (including private university constituents where mobility rate records are too high) in Nairobi County, Kenya. The research sample size was 180 private university students and nine registrars. Quantitative data was analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0. Descriptive analysis, inferential statistics, and regression analysis were used to analyse the findings. Descriptive statistics such as mean scores, percentages, and standard deviation were computed appropriately. Binary logistic regression analysis was adopted to establish the extent of the impact on the dependent variables of independent variables. The study concludes that the quality of learning significantly influences students' mobility in private universities in Nairobi County in Kenya. Students prefer being in institutions of learning that can guarantee them quality education to enable them to get opportunities to thrive in the labour market. The study recommends that private universities invest in their respective infrastructure to ensure superior learning possibilities. There is a need to invest in qualified lecturers, classrooms, libraries, laboratories and many other things that contribute to quality learning. Student's mobility in private universities is in favour of institutions that are perceived to offer quality education.

Pengaruh desain pembelajaran, kualitas dosen, interaksi dengan dosen, dan harapan terhadap kinerja akademik dengan dimediasi kepuasan pembelajaran pada mahasiswa

This study aims to determine the direct and indirect effect of learning design, quality of lecturers, interactions with lecturers, and expectations on academic performance mediated by student satisfaction in Economics Education at Sebelas Maret University. The method used in this study was a quantitative survey method with a population of Economics Education students at Sebelas Maret University and a sample of 224 students. The sampling technique in this study was proportionate stratified random sampling and the data collection technique used a questionnaire. This study used data analysis techniques, namely path analysis and hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS 25. The results obtained in this study are: (1) There is a direct positive and significant influence between learning design, lecturer quality, interaction with lecturers, and expectations on student satisfaction, (2) There is a positive and significant direct effect between learning design, lecturer quality, interaction with lecturers, and expectations on academic performance, (3) There is a positive and significant direct effect between satisfaction on academic performance (4) There is a positive and significant indirect effect between learning design, lecturer quality, interaction with lecturers, and expectations on academic performance through satisfaction. The implication of this research is that there is learning design, lecturer quality, interaction with lecturers, and expectations to increase student satisfaction and academic performance in online learning.

Establishing a model of the factors affecting the quality of educational services: A case study of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology

The study built a model of factors affecting educational service quality based on the assessment of student satisfaction. The theoretical model is drawn from domestic and foreign authors and has been adjusted to suit the research context. The results are collected from 886 surveys with full-time students from the faculties of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, which showed that the quality of educational services of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology is derived by the factors such as (1) Quality of Lecturer, (2) Quality of staff, (3) Support services, (4) Training program, (5) Facilities. The results of the paper also show that there is a difference between students of other faculties, but there aren’t differences in the genders, courses, and performances in the assessment of educational service quality. From these results, the study has proposed recommendations to improve the quality of educational services at this University in order to: satisfy student satisfaction, improve the image of the University, collect attract learners in the recruitment process.

PEMANTAPAN KINERJA DAN PROFESIONALISME DOSEN MELALUI PERSIAPAN SERTIFIKASI DOSEN SEKOLAH TINGGI TEOLOGI TABGHA BATAM

This paper aims to understand the important role of lecturer certification in improving the performance and professionalism of lecturers at the Tabgha Theological College Batam. Lecturer performance is the output of the process carried out by the lecturer through work presentations, work implementation, work achievements, work results and work performance. Lecturer certification is a relevant instrument for assessing the professionalism of lecturers in order to determine the eligibility of lecturers, protect the teaching profession as agents of learning in tertiary institutions, and improve educational processes and outcomes to support the realization of national education goals. Lecturer performance can be seen from his enthusiasm in carrying out the duties of higher education tridarma assigned to him. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches by collecting data through surveys, interviews, and document analysis related to preparation for lecturer certification. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide valuable insights for other higher education institutions in an effort to improve the quality and professionalism of lecturers.

Interactive Pedagogical Approach to Teaching in Nigerian Universities: Using Metaverse as Enabling Technology

This paper explored metaverse literature and scholarly works to dissect the concept and potential s of metaverse, being a combination of three-dimensional virtual and real world inhabited by blockchain, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and other cutting -edge intelligent technologies. The study revealed that Metaverse offers a fully immersive educational experience like real-world classroom layouts in 3D form or constructed as partially or fully virtual scenes according to the learning content and the resources can be visualized, especially for the invisible or abstract concepts, items, or events in the physical world. The study further revealed the various challenges confronting the utilization of metaverse technologies in Nigerian Universities which range from inadequate infrastructural facilities, poor research activities, lack of stable electricity, lack of bandwidth and connectivity, inadequate ICT facilities and lack of technically experienced lecturers . The researchers recommended that government should allocate 26 percent of her total budget as recommended by UNESCO to educational sector to enhance the provision of necessary infrastructural facilities needed for the utilization of metaverse technologies in Nigerian Universities. The researchers further recommended that Federal, State government and Universities should undertake in-service training of lecturers through workshops, conferences, seminars and symposia on usage of metaverse, connect the Universities to stable electric grid , employ only competent and qualified lecturers as well as motivate them in terms of salary and other allowances so as to enable them discharged their duties effectively.
