Learning Management System (LMS) In The Post-Pandemic Era: An Evaluative Review Of User Experience And Learning Outcomes

One of the online learning platforms that adopts a conventional learning approach but is managed online is the Learning Management System (LMS). LMS is not only easy to use but also encourages independent learning in a social environment for students, providing them with full control over their learning process. This study aims to explore the user experience of LMS post-pandemic. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research, which aims to uncover the facts, conditions, variables, and phenomena occurring at present. The subjects of this study are all teachers and students from high schools in the Dewantara District. The results of the study indicate that students are very enthusiastic about the learning process using the LMS application, as they find it easier to understand the material, which positively impacts their learning outcomes. Additionally, teachers show greater creativity in delivering learning materials. The use of LMS also facilitates teachers in assigning tasks to students, making the learning process more varied and no longer monotonous.

The Impact of AI and LMS Integration on the Future of Higher Education: Opportunities, Challenges, and Strategies for Transformation

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and learning management systems (LMS) is revolutionising higher education, offering unprecedented opportunities for personalised learning, adaptive assessments, and data-driven decision-making. This review investigates the impact of AI–LMS integration on educational quality, student success, and institutional performance in higher education. In addition, this review not only examines the technological integration but also evaluates how AI–LMS systems contribute to sustainable development in higher education through reduced resource consumption, improved accessibility, and enhanced educational equity. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, a comprehensive search of the Scopus database yielded 60 relevant studies published between 2014 and 2023. The review reveals significant benefits of AI–LMS integration, including enhanced student engagement, personalised learning paths, and improved learning outcomes. Key applications include AI-powered conversational agents, adaptive assessments, and learning analytics. However, challenges such as data privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, and the need for faculty training were also identified. The findings highlight strategies for effective AI–LMS implementation, emphasising the importance of ethical considerations and addressing the digital divide. Results demonstrate that AI–LMS integration can significantly enhance educational quality and student performance when implemented thoughtfully. The review also uncovers areas requiring further research, including long-term impacts on learning outcomes, scalability of AI–LMS solutions, and strategies for ensuring equitable access. Future studies should focus on longitudinal assessments of AI–LMS effectiveness, the development of ethical frameworks for AI in education, and the exploration of AI–LMS applications in diverse educational contexts. This review provides valuable insights for higher education institutions seeking to leverage AI–LMS integration to transform teaching and learning practices.

Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Pembuatan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Multimedia Interaktif di SMK

The training program at SMK Negeri 2 Dompu aims to improve teachers' abilities in developing interactive multimedia-based learning media. This training was held to overcome the challenges of using conventional learning media which is less attractive to students, as well as teachers' lack of understanding regarding educational technology which affects learning effectiveness. This program is designed so that teachers can utilize digital technology to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and create interactive learning that is relevant to the digital era. Program implementation includes three stages: preparation, implementation, and monitoring. In the preparation stage, a teacher needs survey was carried out and training materials were prepared which included the creation of multimedia learning media and the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) application. The implementation phase includes training in creating interactive multimedia learning media, developing materials in line with the Independent Curriculum, training in using the LMS, as well as assistance in creating interactive media using the Canva and LMS applications. Monitoring is carried out after training to evaluate the success of the program through assessing participant performance and measuring results through questionnaires and analysis. Program results showed a significant increase in teachers' understanding regarding the use of multimedia in learning, with 90% of participants reporting increased understanding and 80% successfully developing multimedia-based modules. In terms of LMS usage, 70% of participants successfully created an account and started using the platform. Increasing teachers' understanding and skills in interactive multimedia and LMS technology is very positive, helping teachers utilize technology to create more interesting and effective learning, as well as monitor student progress digitally, showing great potential in developing teacher competence to face educational challenges in the technological era.

Journey From a Digital Innovation to a Sustainable Health Worker Capacity-Building App in India: Experiences, Challenges, and Lessons Learned.

Health workers, especially auxiliary nurse midwives (ANMs), are among the most critical resources in improving the quality of immunization services and reducing vaccine hesitancy under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) in India. To improve health worker immunization skills, UIP trainings in India are primarily conducted through instructor-led classroom, cascade trainings. However, a 2018 capacity-building need assessment revealed several challenges involved in traditional classroom training, such as a single-time exposure to new guidelines, complicated logistics arrangements, a lack of refresher training, and varying quality of training. These complexities make it difficult to meet the timely knowledge and skill needs of every health worker effectively and uniformly in a rapidly changing scenario of UIP. To meet health worker capacity-building needs and address these challenges, Rapid Immunization Skill Enhancement (RISE), a learning management system (LMS) application, was conceptualized. The RISE LMS application was developed as a human-centered, interactive, continuous, and adaptable knowledge and skill-building platform for health workers engaged in the UIP. RISE complements existing classroom-based cascade training for health workers by leveraging digital technologies for faster, easier, and more effective knowledge transfer to accommodate the fast-changing needs of a dynamic health program like UIP. In this article, we share the challenges and strategic solutions to digital training applications, lessons learned, sustainability of the application, and the impact RISE has made in India, all of which stemmed from leadership, coordinated efforts from a team of skilled professionals, government acceptance, detailed planning, and continued stakeholder engagement.

Application of LMS, Google Meet, and PhET Interactive Simulations as an Effort to Develop Student Creativity and Communication Skills in Waves and Optics lectures

This research aims to describe the application of the Learning Management System (LMS), Google Meet, and PhET interactive simulations as an effort to develop student creativity and communication skills in Waves and Optics lectures. This research, which uses a one shot case study design, was carried out in the 2023 academic year (odd semester) at the Physics Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Mataram. The research subjects included all University of Jambi students who took Waves and Optics courses with code 133414. These students took part in the Independent Campus program, namely the Independent Student Exchange (ISE), with a total of 20 people. The instrument for creativity uses a product assessment sheet uploaded to the LMS, namely SPADA Unram, while the instrument for communication skills uses an observation sheet during product presentations via Google Meet. The product in question is a paper that discusses a particular topic accompanied by data from PhET interactive simulations. The assessment score for each indicator for both creativity and communication skills uses a scale of 4. The scores for creativity and communication skills are expressed in percentage form. The research results show that the average score for student creativity is 83.0 (B+ criteria), while student communication skills are 86.8 (A criteria). The lowest score in the creativity aspect is 75 (B criteria) with the highest score being 90 (A criteria). The lowest score in the communication skills aspect is 80 (B+ criteria) with the highest score being 90 (A criteria). Thus, implementing LMS, Google Meet, and PhET interactive simulations can be an alternative in developing creativity and communication skills. Implementation of Learning Management System-Based Character Education in Elementary Schools

Objective: This research aims to describe the extent to which the application of character education based on the learning management system in basic education. Theoretical Framework: This topic presents the main concepts and theories that underpin the research. This topic highlights the Implementation of Character Education based on a Learning Management System in Primary Schools, providing a solid basis for understanding the research context. Method: The research approach used is quantitative descriptive research. This approach was chosen because this research aims to describe the extent to which the implementation of character education based on the learning management system in DS has been successful. Results and Discussion: Learning management system applications, such as Google Classroom, are very useful as a means of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Punctuality in collecting assignments is also an important indicator of the students' character in the learning process. Discipline in completing assignments and activity in the discussion and question-and-answer process also have top priority in students' character. Research Implications: The practical and theoretical implications of this research are discussed, providing insights into how the results can be applied or influence practices in the field of education. These implications may cover character education based on a learning management system in primary education. Originality/Value: This research contributes to the literature with the concept of character education. The Influence of Using the Learning Management System Pacak Spensa and ICT Skills on Student’s Learning Motivation

This research aimed to determine the influence of the Spensa Pacak Learning Management System application and the ICT skills of subject teachers on students’ learning motivation. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Koba, Central Bangka Regency, using questionnaires. The results showed that the use of the Learning Management System application had no significant impact on students’ learning motivation. However, the ICT skills of subject teachers had a significant influence on students’ motivation. The use of the Learning Management System application and subject teachers’ ICT skills simultaneously had a significant influence on students’ motivation. The coefficient of determination for students showed a large influence of the Learning Management System application and subject teachers’ ICT skills, with 82.3% influenced by other factors not mentioned in the research.

Analyzing Students’ Acceptance Toward the Use of Tutorial Webinar Using Technology Acceptance Model Approach

Objective: This study aims to describe and analyze the acceptance of Universitas Terbuka (UT) students in using the Microsoft Teams and Learning Management System (LMS) applications for the Webinar Tutorial (Tuweb) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This research used an explanatory approach. The population of this study was 4000 students of the Distance Learning Program Unit (UPBJJ) at Universitas Terbuka Semarang. Meanwhile, the research sample was 1600 students in Rembang, Blora, Pati, Kudus, Jepara, Demak, Semarang, Kendal, Kaliwungu, and Pekalongan teaching units. The data was collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Results: The results showed that the acceptance of Universitas Terbuka students in using the Microsoft Teams application for Tuweb obtained an average of 82.76 in the accepted category, with a contribution of 63.50%. In comparison, student acceptance using the LMS application obtained an average of 81.58 in the accepted category, with a contribution of 80.40% from other dimensions. Novelty: The result showed that the students' acceptance of using Tuweb, both Microsoft Teams or LMS applications, indicates that these learning aids can be used as an alternative for teaching and learning besides face-to-face meetings.

The online seTARA application is a Learning Management System application, a technological development in the form of software that functions to conduct, plan, and also provide assessments in specific learning processes. This research is of a qualitative descriptive type with the type of data used in the form of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained from the field by researchers, secondary data is data obtained from primary data. This article aims to describe the Implementation of Online Equivalent Applications in Learning Islamic Religious Education in the Package C Program at PKBM Bangkit Semarang. The results showed that PKBM Bangkit chose applications provided by the directorate of community education and special education, namely online equivalent applications. The advantage in using the application is that the online SeTARA application makes it easier for tutors and residents to learn in the learning process, while the disadvantages are visible: The low relationship between tutors and residents learning so that it will affect the formation of character in the teaching and learning process

Investigating Chinese Tertiary EFL Teachers’ Beliefs and Practices in the Application of Learning Management Systems Using Q Methodology

The purpose of this study is to explore Chinese tertiary EFL teachers’ beliefs and practices as well as the relationships between them in the application of Learning Management Systems (LMS in short). By reviewing relevant literature, previous studies either carried out research on teachers’ beliefs and practices in the training of basic English learning skills or compared them between novice and experienced teachers. This study fills the gap of research on teachers’ beliefs and practices from the perspective of technology integration, specifically LMS application. By using the Q methodology, 38 EFL teachers teaching the same EFL course to undergraduate students at F University in mainland China were selected as research participants. After collecting research data through open-ended questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, four different types of teachers’ LMS beliefs and three different levels of teachers’ LMS practices were identified by employing Q Methodology software-PQMethod and a web application Ken-Q analysis. Through comparing each participant’s corresponding beliefs and practices, both consistent and inconsistent relationships are found. The research findings not only prove the definite connection between teachers’ LMS beliefs and practices but also reveal the discrepancies between what teachers believe and do while using LMS. In general, The research can not only offer a new methodological solution for further research on cognitive factors like teachers’ beliefs but also provide pedagogical implications to EFL teachers to promote their career development.

SATISFACTION TOWARD LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: EXTENDED SCALE OF EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM QUALITY

Introduction: Consideration against educational system quality in the context of the learning management system has increased during the pandemic period. An inconsistent finding concerning the influence of educational system quality on satisfaction has been identified. To fill this gap in the existing literature, this study aims to extend the educational system quality scale and examine its influence on students’ satisfaction. Methods: Based on an intensive literature review step, device flexibility was proposed as an extended indicator. To validate and examine the proposed hypothesis, this study employed the quantitative method of PLS-SEM. Data were collected from 90 students who actively used learning management systems. Results: Our findings showed that device flexibility is valid and reliable as an educational system quality indicator. Besides, our proposed hypothesis is also confirmed. Through the structural model assessment, the influence of educational system quality on students’ satisfaction is found to be significant. Conclusion and suggestion: Device flexibility has been proven as an educational system quality indicator. In order to maintain students’ satisfaction, system developers are suggested to keep improving learning management system applications, primarily on smartphone devices.

During Virtual Anatomy Sessions, do Educators and Learners Feel More at Ease or Anxious? Revisiting the Covid-19 Lock Down Times

Abstract Background: The COVID-19 pandemic forced the entire education system to accept online teaching as the only way to complete the stalled MBBS teaching-learning. Later, the hybrid mode of teaching was started in many colleges. This study is a revisit to lockdown times from teacher’s and learner’s points of view to determine the various difficulties faced by teachers and learners during online classes. Methodology: In this longitudinal questionnaire-based survey, questionnaires in English were given to 750 MBBS students of 2019–2020, 2020–2021, and 2023–2024 batches and 47 MBBS teachers. Results: Sixty-three percent of students strongly agreed to selecting classroom lectures over online classes. Teachers faced technophobia in app-based education (39%) and absence of response while teaching (18%) as difficulties during online classes. Internet connection issues and unfriendly learning management system applications were the issues faced by the students. Conclusion: The integration of offline and blended learning can make teaching by teachers and interpretation by students better.

USER EXPERIENCE USING PRADITA DIGITAL LMS IN BLENDED LEARNING: A CASE STUDY IN PRADITA UNIVERSITY

This research aims to evaluate user experience (UX) in using Pradita Digital Learning Management System (LMS) in Blended Learning process. In the current educational context, the use of LMS and online applications has become common, so it is important to conduct an evaluation to measure the level of satisfaction and effectiveness of using Pradita Digital LMS in the learning process. The method used in this research is A Technique for User eXperience Evaluation in e-Learning (TUXEL) Version 2.0. TUXEL method is a technique that allows researchers to evaluate usability and user experience when using a system. The research results are divided into three aspects, namely general usability, pedagogical usability, and UX. The questionnaire results show that the use of Pradita Digital LMS gets a good and agreeable response from the users in the learning process because the system is more interactive and interesting. Although Pradita Digital LMS still has shortcomings in general usability and pedagogical usability aspects, it has creative and innovative value for users in the learning process. Overall, the result of this research is that Pradita Digital LMS has creative and innovative value, although there are still shortcomings in the aspects of general usability and pedagogical usability. Even so, Pradita Digital LMS is able to provide a good user experience in the learning process. It is hoped that the results of this study can be input for the development of Pradita Digital LMS so that it can continue to be improved in terms of usability and user satisfaction, so that the online learning experience can be even better in the future.

Learning Management System in Madrasah: A Study of Teacher Readiness and Acceptance of Technology

This study aims to analyze the application of learning management systems in the form of technology to support the implementation of learning. Specifically, this study aims to ascertain the relationship between the teacher's technology acceptance model and the technology readiness index. At the elementary school (SD/MI), junior high school (MTs), senior high school (MA), and vocational schools in the city of Bandung, 185 private teachers participated in the survey. The results showed that perceived ease of technology was positively and significantly influenced by optimism and innovation, positively and significantly influenced by insecurity, and negatively or not significantly affected by discomfort. Then, optimism significantly increases people's perception of how helpful technology can be. While innovativeness and inconvenience have little effect on how useful technology is for people, perceived ease of use and insecurity have a small but positive effect. The implications of this research can be explained by the fact that teachers' acceptance of technology in learning can determine their optimism and innovation in learning. Therefore, teachers must be encouraged to prepare various skills and competencies to use technology to support their teaching and learning activities.

EVALUASI USABILITY TESTING APLIKASI LMS WASKITA DENGAN METODE SYSTEM USABILITY SCALE (SUS)

Waskita is the Amikom Yogyakarta University LMS (Learning Management System) application presented to students to make it easier to access learning materials. Waskita has two access rights namely lecturers and students, where this research focuses on student access rights. Waskita URL link address located at https://waskita.amikom.ac.id/ which has features for uploading assignments, downloading materials, searching for courses, and etc. This research illustrates the value of usability testing for the Waskita LMS application. Research methods used is the SUS method by giving a questionnaire consisting of 10 SUS method questions and 3 additional questions to 45 respondents. The user research technique that we use is satisfaction surveys users to get quantitative data using ranges in number format and qualitative ones description format from respondents. The results in this research show that the usability testing value of the LMS website Waskita is 47 or is on the "F" grade scale, where several respondents stated that there is a menu which have the same use, confusing flow of operations, lacking information clear, and the appearance is less attractive. So it can be concluded that the Waskita LMS website is feasible to be redesigned.

The Implementation of a Learning Management System for Improving Teacher Knowledge and Skills in MTs. Teladan Medan

The implementation of community service (PKM) aims to improve teachers' ability to teach by applying the website-based learning management system (LMS) application at MTs. Teladan Medan is the location of the dedication that has been done. The application that had been developed was a contribution to PKM partners to helped the school conduct learned management, especially in implementing online learned. PKM activities were carried out through several activities, namely: socialization, training, and assistance in the used of the website-based learned management system (LMS) application that had been developed for several 16 teachers. The instruments used in the form of questionnaires, pretests, and posttests were distributed before and after the training. Based on the results of the activities carried out, there was an increase in teacher knowledge about integrated learning technology using the learning management system application, with a score of 75.65%, and an increase in teacher skills in using or applying the learning management system application, with a score of 80.47%.

Implementasi Aplikasi Learning Management System and Student Attendance pada IDN Academy Berbasis Web

The purpose of this service activity is to assist IDN Academy in improving the learning process and student Attendance through the implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS). Application and web-based Attendance system for students. A waterfall research collaboration service methodology is used to perform the stages of system analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and analysis of results. During the service process, a system analysis was performed to determine the needs and requirements of the LMS application and web-based student Attendance system. In addition, we will create a use case diagram that explains the functions of the entire system and design the system. We then ran the implementation phase, distributing questionnaires on a Likert scale of 1 to 5, and testing the application with black box and system quality tests. Test results showed that the LMS application and web-based student Attendance system enabled IDN Academy to manage student learning and Attendance effectively and efficiently. Respondents also agreed on the quality of the system, achieving an average score of 4.2 on the distributed questionnaire. The results of this service are expected to enable IDN Academy to leverage its LMS application and web-based student Attendance system to improve the quality of student learning and Attendance.

VARIOUS STUDENT RESPONSES TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLINE LECTURES AND VARIOUS ACCOMPANYING ASPECTS

This study aimed to describe the participant's responses to implementing online lectures and various accompanying aspects. The research method chosen is a qualitative descriptive method. The research participants comprised 85 fifth-semester students at a tertiary institution in Indonesia who had attended online lectures and used the Learning Management System (LMS) service. Identification, clarification, reduction, analysis, and description techniques were carried out to process data from questionnaires and interviews to answer the problems under study. The study results show that participants in online lectures prefer the zoom meeting platform for synchronous lecture types. With the recording facility, participants can re-learn through the LMS application in the video link feature. However, participants prefer the WhatsApp application to discuss their problems. The biggest obstacle they face in online lectures is the stability of the internet network, even though most of them have internet access on a subscription basis. The weakness of online lectures is the lack of interaction, the hope of participants after the pandemic is over is the implementation of blended lectures with the distribution of lecture components in online and offline sessions.
