The Influence of Learning Interest, Peer Environment, Learning Facilities, and Learning Discipline on the Learning Activity of Class X Accounting Students at SMK N 03 Mukomuko

This study aims to determine the effect of learning interest on student learning activity. Peer environment on student learning activity. Student learning facilities on student learning activity. Learning discipline on student learning activity. Simultaneously, the influence of learning interest, peer environment, learning facilities, and student learning discipline. This type of research is quantitative. The population of this study was class X accounting students of SMK N 03 Mukomuko; the sampling technique used was total sampling with a sample size of 65 students. The SPSS version 21 and Reviews version 8 programs assisted in data analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence between the influence of learning interest, peer environment, and learning discipline on the learning activity of class X Accounting students of SMK N 03 Mukomuko.

Digital Media Literacy as a Motivational Strategy Learning Interest and Digital Competence in Pitu Riase 3 State Junior High School Students

This study aims to identify and describe: 1) Strategies for utilizing digital media literacy in motivating the learning interest of SMP Negeri 3 Pitu Riase students, and 2) Digital competence of SMP Negeri 3 Pitu Riase students in managing knowledge and accessing the information on the internet. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The findings of this study are as follows. 1) The strategy to motivate students' interest in learning at SMP Negeri 3 Pitu Riase in using digital media begins with knowing the interest in learning from learning outcomes and the existence of motivation from parents. Then to motivate interest in learning, this is done in several ways including, namely, innovating in learning, compiling teaching materials, and applications that are appropriate to the situation and conditions. The need for the effectiveness of digital media in motivating students' learning interest can be seen from its benefits in the learning process, namely, helping passive students and helping present information and instructions. 2) The digital literacy competence of SMP Negeri 3 Pitu Riase students still lacks understanding related to digital competence. This is because of the four indicators of digital literacy competence, only one can be understood by students, namely the ability to search on the Internet (Internet Searching), while the ability to use Hypertextual Navigation, Evaluating Information Content (Content Evaluation) and Compilation of Knowledge (Knowledge) Assembly) still needs improvement and understanding related to digital competence.

Exploration of the Three in One Professional Course Ideological and Political Teaching Model of Virtue, Knowledge, and Creativity -- Taking the statistics major course Probability Theory as an example

Professional courses are important carriers of ideological and political education in courses. Probability Theory, as a core course in statistics, is of great significance in cultivating students ability to think randomly and solve complex problems. The existing ideological and political research on the course of Probability Theory mainly focuses on public basic courses. In depth analysis of the characteristics and curriculum features of statistics major, propose a deep integration of morality, knowledge, and creativity in the curriculum ideological and political education model, including the formation of morality, knowledge, and creativity integrated curriculum ideological and political education goals, the improvement of morality, knowledge, and creativity integrated curriculum ideological and political teaching links, the deepening of morality, knowledge, and creativity integrated curriculum ideological and political teaching content, and the innovation of morality, knowledge, and creativity integrated curriculum ideological and political teaching methods. Practice has shown that the three in one curriculum ideological and political model of morality, knowledge, and creativity effectively stimulates students interest in learning and enhances their professional confidence.

An analysis of English classroom teaching design for foreign nursing majors in higher vocational schools based on demand analysis

Vocational college students due to the career foundation is not high, there are differences in English ability, medical terminology is difficult, leading to the decline of students interest in learning and confidence, some students will appear fear psychology. Therefore, in order to make the foreign nursing major develop rapidly, it is not only necessary to meet the social needs of students, but also to choose the teaching materials suitable for students. This paper expounds the importance of learning English knowledge for foreign-related nursing majors in higher vocational colleges and analyzes the process of English classroom teaching design for reference only.

The Opportunities and Challenges of ChatGPT for Ideological and Political Education of College Students

In the 21st century, humanity ushered in a wave of artificial intelligence. In the context of big data, generative artificial intelligence has become an important auxiliary tool in the field of education. ChatGPT has gradually entered the learning life of students and reflected its value in ideological and political education in particular. Through a questionnaire survey, this article takes college students as the research object and aims to grasp their evaluations of using ChatGPT and their views on its application in the field of ideological and political education. Research has found that ChatGPT has advantages in optimizing ideological and political evaluation and management systems, helping students understand political theories, enriching teaching models, and meeting the personalized needs of students. The integration of ChatGPT into the class can not only improve teaching quality but also enhance student's learning efficiency and interest. However, the arrival of ChatGPT has also raised a series of ethical risks, such as spreading incorrect information, personal information leakage, academic misconduct, shallow thinking among students, and alienation of teacher-student relationships. In response to these problems brought about by ChatGPT, this article also proposes corresponding risk governance policies. It is necessary to establish a legal supervision mechanism, improve the level of software research and development, enhance the information literacy of teachers and students, and strengthen academic standardization awareness.

Research On Foreign Language Anxiety in Japanese Acquisition

Foreign language anxiety is a common emotional factor in foreign language learning and is not conducive to learners' development. Since anxiety is specific to certain target languages, current research mainly focuses on English learners, and few studies take Asia languages, such as Chinese or Japanese as the target language. Based on these, this study reviews the current research on Japanese language learning anxiety from the perspective of linguistic classification and summarizes the teaching methods to reduce foreign language anxiety. It is proposed that teachers and learners should be encouraged to rethink their perceptions of mistakes. In addition, the order of knowledge acquisition of Japanese grammar should be respected, and the potential interest of learners in Japanese culture should be utilized. In addition, the establishment of a lighthearted and inclusive learning environment, the judicious use of group activities, and the appropriate administration of examinations and assessments can also be effective in alleviating anxiety.

Out-BREAK!: An IDWeek 2023 Escape Room to Break Out of the Educational Mold.

An escape room is a cooperative game that has been adapted into medical education and major academic conferences. We describe the design, development, and implementation of an educational ID-themed escape room activity entitled "Out-BREAK!" at an international conference, IDWeek 2023. An anonymous survey was conducted to collect demographic data, assess participant satisfaction with the escape room puzzles, and gauge participant interest in game-based learning. Thirty escape room sessions were held over 3 days and included 201 participants. Escape room survey respondents (n = 132) were younger and more likely to be trainees compared with in-person IDWeek attendants. Among 131 responses, all respondents enjoyed the experience and would recommend the escape room activity to friends. Survey respondents enjoyed the puzzle solving (93%), medical content (92%), and team building (79%) components. Only 35% of the respondents had ever previously participated in game-based learning; 95% thought the escape room was a valuable teaching method. Among the 72 survey respondents involved in medical education, almost all (90%) said they were interested in incorporating escape rooms into medical education. The Out-BREAK! escape room at IDWeek 2023 was successfully implemented and well received. Despite only a third of participants having prior experience with game-based learning, almost all respondents perceived the escape room to be an effective teaching method.

Pola Penerapan STEAM dalam Produksi Playmat Interaktif untuk Pendidikan Muatan Lokal di Sekolah Pinggiran Kabupaten Pacitan

The implementation pattern of this community service aims to understand how to implement the STEAM method (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) in the production of interactive playmats intended to enhance local content education in schools on the outskirts of Pacitan Regency. Through a participatory approach, this activity involves teachers and students in the design and production process of playmats, which are designed to facilitate interactive and enjoyable learning. The results of the implementation show that the application of the STEAM method not only enhances students' creativity and technical skills but also strengthens their understanding of local culture. The evaluation of playmat usage indicates a significant increase in students' interest and engagement in learning. Therefore, this activity recommends that integrating the STEAM method into local educational products can be an effective model for developing education in remote areas.

Testing the Construct Validity and Reliability of the Student Learning Interest Scale Using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA)

Learning interest is one of the determining factors of student learning success. The low interest of students in learning process is caused by several problems that occur. Thus, learning interest is very important in learning progress, namely to bring out students' interest and activeness in learning. To support learning and increase students' interest in learning, teachers should not only master the material but also create interesting learning to help arouse curiosity, enjoyment and interest in learning in them. This study aims to test the validity and reliability of the construct of the developed learning interest scale. A researcher needs 250 to 500 respondents. This study involved 300 random samples of fifth grade elementary school students in Berbah District, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data were analyzed with second-order confirmatory factors assisted by IBM SPSS version 26 software. This study measures the validity and reliability of elementary school students' interest in learning science. So the data analysis in this study measures validity and reliability. So this study uses second order confirmatory factor analysis (nd order CFA). The results showed that the developed learning interest scale had met the criteria of suitability, convergent validity, discriminant validity, construct reliability. Therefore, the developed scale is feasible to use.

Research on the Innovation of English Teaching Mode Based on Artificial Intelligence

This article presents a research on innovative approaches in English language teaching through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The aim is to address the issues found in traditional English language teaching methods by utilizing AI technology. The article begins by identifying the problems in traditional English language teaching and exploring the current applications of AI in education. Then, it specifically discusses the application of AI technology in English language teaching, such as interactive listening training, intelligent error correction and personalized post-class guidance, and cloud-based intelligent English translation teaching. Subsequently, a proposal is put forward to construct a new English language teaching system based on AI technology, including modules for engaging explanations, interactive English assignments, and creating scenarios for cross-cultural communication oral training. Lastly, an evaluation method for assessing the innovation of English language teaching models based on AI is introduced, which includes feedback and perceptions from both teachers and students, as well as an assessment of teaching outcomes. The research findings of this article can provide a more intelligent, personalized, and effective English language teaching approach, thus positively impacting the quality of English language teaching and enhancing students’ interest in learning.

Upaya Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Peserta Didik Melalui Permainan Berburu Binatang Dalam Pembelajaran PJOK di SMPN 28 Surabaya

Comfort becomes very important when used as a driver to carry out learning that requires full concentration in receiving all materials. This factor also plays an important role in the success of learning. It can be seen from the comfort of each student. This classroom action research focuses on collecting information on how animal hunting games can increase students' interest in learning. This action was carried out in two cycles. The sample in this study was 30 students of class 9F SMPN 28 Surabaya. The results of the actions of cycle I and cycle II through observation and questionnaires were that there was an increase in students' interest in learning when using animal hunting games.

Strategi Guru PAI dalam Mengembangkan Keterampilan, Kreatif dan Inovatif Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Langkat

This study aims to analyze the learning strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) applied by teachers in improving student creativity and competence at SMP Negeri 1 Langkat, North Sumatra. The research method used was qualitative, with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. Observation was conducted to identify the interaction and application of learning strategies by PAI teachers, while in-depth interviews with teachers and students provided information related to the effectiveness of the method. The results showed that 1) Teachers' creativity in combining learning methods, such as discussions, projects, and the use of technological media, was able to create an interesting and interactive learning atmosphere, which had a positive impact on students' understanding of the teaching materials. 2) Improved facilities and infrastructure as well as curriculum adjustments also support the effectiveness of learning, so that students are more motivated to actively participate in the learning process. PAI teachers not only convey religious concepts, but also equip students with balanced cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities, in accordance with Bloom's taxonomy theory. This study concludes that innovation in learning methods and adequate facility support are key in improving students' learning skills and interest.

Energising the Energy Literacy Debate for Environmental Education: Exploring Citizens’ Interest Levels, Knowledge Gaps and Individual Differences

Abstract Energy literacy can empower individuals to make informed decisions about energy use. However, the level of public interest in learning about energy-related topics remains uncertain, and there is a dearth of research exploring energy literacy-related knowledge gaps. This mixed-methods study aimed to address those issues. A survey of 3,843 citizens from four European countries revealed that most citizens have only a moderate interest in learning about energy. Age, gender, educational level, income level, living situation and environmental attitudes appear to have a significant effect on individuals’ interests. The study identified key knowledge demand areas regarding saving energy and reducing costs, becoming self-sufficient in energy production and cooperating with others for more efficient energy use. The findings indicate that engagement with energy-related topics could be improved by considering affective factors such as individual interest. The study also reveals a need for greater interdisciplinarity in energy research.

Loop Structure Programming in C based on the UbD Model

This paper discusses applying the UbD (Understanding by Design) based model in teaching C language cyclic structure program design. Aiming at the problems existing in the traditional teaching of C language, such as emphasizing theory over practice, single case, and single teaching method, the UbD model, through the concept of reverse instructional design, first determines the expected learning outcomes, and then designs the assessment evidence and specific teaching activities. The article describes in detail the three stages in the instructional design of the cyclic structure of C language using the UbD model: determining the expected outcomes, identifying suitable assessment evidence, and designing learning experiences and teaching activities. Teaching practice shows that instructional design utilizing the UbD model has significant advantages in enhancing students' interest in learning, strengthening classroom interaction, and promoting deep learning.

Pengembangan Video Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Dan Budi Pekerti Menggunakan Aplikasi Capcut Di SMA PP. Dr. M. Natsir Alahan Panjang

This research and development was based on problems that occurred at SMA PP.Dr.M.Natsir Alahan Panjang where students' lack of interest in learning in the subjects of Islamic Religious Education and Character and the learning carried out was less varied, making students bored and less active so they were distracted by other things. Learning videos can be an alternative in solving problems at school. This research aims to determine the level of validity and practicality of learning videos using the Capcut application.This type of research is development research using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The resulting learning video media using the Capcut application has been tested as valid with a percentage of media design experts of 94,3% (very valid), and tested practically with a practicality test by teachers with a percentage of 87,2% ( very practical) and the student response test percentage was 87,8% (very practical). From these results it was concluded that the learning video using Capcut was valid and practical so that trials could be carried out on the resulting product.

How to estimate causal effects associated with family planning? An introduction to Prince BART, a new approach to effect estimation based on principal stratification and Bayesian non-parametric models

There is interest in learning about the causal effect of family planning (FP) on empowerment-related outcomes. Experimental data related to this question are available from trials in which FP programs increase access to FP. However, estimating the effect of interest is challenging because FP and empowerment-related variables are likely to be confounded. We propose a new approach, Prince BART, to estimate the causal effect of FP on other outcomes of interest, among women affected by a FP program. Prince BART combines principal stratification, to account for differences in FP behavior based on exposure to a FP program, with Bayesian Additive Regression Trees (BART), to non-parametrically model stratum membership and relationships between variables. Prince Bart allows for estimation of effect heterogeneity. We use Prince BART to assess the causal effect of modern contraceptive use on employment in six cities in Nigeria, based on quasi-experimental data from a FP program trial during the first half of the 2010s. In the sample, we find a positive overall effect of contraceptive use on employment and substantial differences in effect sizes across subgroups defined by baseline covariates such as marital status, work at baseline, and wealth or education. The modeling approach and results can be used to inform future analyses seeking to understand the causal relationship between family planning use and other outcomes, e.g., related to empowerment.

Upaya Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Peserta Didik melalui Media Pembelajaran Komik dalam Pembelajaran Pjok

This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with a cyclical approach to increase student learning motivation in Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) subjects. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. In Cycle I, the average student learning motivation was 44.05%, while in Cycle II it increased significantly to 74.68%, with an increase of 30.63%. This increase shows positive changes in students' interest and enthusiasm for learning. The research results showed that the use of "comic media" during learning in Cycle II was effective in stimulating students' interest and motivation. This increase in motivation also indicates the success of the emphasis on more interesting and participatory learning. These findings illustrate the positive impact of the improvement efforts made in Cycle II in creating a better learning environment. This research provides a positive view regarding the use of the PTK method with a cycle approach and the implementation of "comic media" in increasing students' learning motivation in PJOK subjects. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of innovative approaches to learning to achieve more optimal results.

Use of Recitation Input to Improve Students Writing

In learning English, English writing is an important way to cultivate students' innovative thinking and pragmatic ability, and it is also one of the ways to test the results of English teaching. Recitation is not only an important way of language input, but also the basis and premise of language learning. Writing is a comprehensive language output activity, which is based on recitation and can be regarded as an effective language learning strategy for students to develop basic writing skills. Therefore, in English teaching, text recitation input can be used as the basis to help students develop basic writing skills, increase students' interest in English learning, and improve their English level. This paper briefly summarizes the theoretical basis of recitation input and its role in English writing. Based on this, it discusses the effective strategies for its specific application in order to improve the effectiveness of English writing teaching.

Cognitive Schema to Interests for English Learning of Net-Generation College Students: A Basis for English Teaching Design in Sichuan Province, China

This study explores the impact of cognitive schemas on English learning interests among college students in Sichuan Province, China. Despite the critical role of English in providing academic and professional opportunities in a globalized economy, many students face challenges such as basic comprehension issues and lack of engagement, often exacerbated by an exam-centric education system. By applying schema theory, the research investigates how language, content, and formal schemas influence students' English learning interests. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data was gathered from 380 students through questionnaires and analyzed using statistical methods. The findings reveal gaps in language schema proficiency and low engagement in English learning, suggesting a need for personalized, interactive teaching strategies. The study provides insights into effective pedagogical practices tailored to the needs of Net-Generation students.

Pengaruh Metode Focus Group Discussion Terhadap Antusias Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran PAI di SMPN 1 Sungai Pua

This research aims to determine the effect of using the focus group discussion method on students' enthusiasm for learning in the Islamic religious education subject class VIII SMPN 1 Sungai Pua. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method by taking two classes which are used as a control class and an experimental class. This research is a quantitative experiment, by giving pre-tests and post-tests to students in both classes. Totaling 50 people. The sampling technique was carried out using Cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was a learning interest questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses normality, homogeneity tests, then continues with hypothesis testing. From the research results, it shows that the results of hypothesis testing that was carried out in the experimental class and control class obtained a Sig value. (Pvalue) = 0.001˂ α = 0.05. which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of these calculations, it can be concluded that there is an influence of using the focus group discussion method on students' enthusiasm/interest in learning in class VIII Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMPN 1 Sungai Pua.
