Entrepreneurial Intentions from an Entrepreneurial Knowledge Perspective, Mediating Subjective Norms Moderates Self-Efficacy

This research aims to determine the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial intentions with the mediation of subjective norms and moderation of self-efficacy. This research is quantitative, analyzing responses to questionnaires distributed to 218 accounting education students at seven universities in Indonesia. Verify the data by hypothesis testing, then the collected data is analyzed using Partial Least Square -Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this research are that subjective norms perfectly mediate the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial intentions, but self-efficacy does not moderate the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial intentions. These results have implications to increase students' entrepreneurial intentions, the authorities should create course programs recommended by the business and industrial world, whether run by the government or the private sector. In addition, it is necessary to evaluate the entrepreneurship learning curriculum in order to increase the content of attitudes and capable beliefs. The originality of this research explores the entrepreneurial intentions of accounting education students in Indonesia. This research combines a mediation model and a moderation model.

Entrepreneurship Learning: Implementation of Pancasila Values in Developing Higher Education Models

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to develop and evaluate a Pancasila-based entrepreneurship learning model for higher education, with the goal of integrating Pancasila values into entrepreneurial education to better prepare students for the demands of the global market. Objective: The objective of this study is to design and test an entrepreneurship learning model that embeds Pancasila values, aiming to enhance student engagement, innovation, and ethical practices. It seeks to identify implementation challenges and opportunities, and to provide practical recommendations for educators and policymakers, while contributing to the understanding of the impact of values-based education on entrepreneurial competencies. Theoretical Framework: This research is grounded in the principles of Pancasila, which encompass belief in God, humanitarianism, national unity, democracy, and social justice. These principles are integrated into the entrepreneurship education framework, emphasizing social responsibility, ethical decision-making, and innovation. The framework also incorporates theories of experiential learning, reflective practice, and competency-based education to foster holistic entrepreneurial development. Method: Interviews and focus groups will be conducted with key stakeholders, including students, lecturers, and industry partners, to gather in-depth insights into the effectiveness and challenges of the current entrepreneurship education model. Results and Discussion: The research is expected to reveal areas where current entrepreneurship education models lack integration of Pancasila values. It will discuss the benefits of incorporating these values, such as increased student engagement and ethical awareness, as well as challenges like resistance to change and the need for additional resources. The discussion will provide insights into how the new model impacts student learning and behavior, supported by quantitative and qualitative data. Research Implications: The findings have significant implications for higher education institutions, educators, and policymakers. They highlight the need for curriculum development that integrates national values, influence policy decisions to mandate such integration, and offer practical strategies for educators to implement values-based education effectively. The study also provides a foundation for further research on the impact of values-based education in various fields. Originality/Value: This research is original in its approach to integrating Pancasila values into entrepreneurship education, addressing a gap in the literature on values-based entrepreneurial learning. Its value lies in providing a novel model that not only enhances entrepreneurial skills but also instills ethical and social responsibility in students, preparing them for the global market while adhering to national.

Unleashing entrepreneurial potential: venture creation and self-directed experiential learning on social media amongst secondary school-aged business owners

PurposeThis research paper aims to explore how secondary school-aged business owners utilise social media to engage in informal learning. The authors make use of the concept of a self-directed experiential learning cycle to empirically explore adolescents’ entrepreneurial learning processes without formal guidance or curriculum.Design/methodology/approachThe study adopts a one-on-one interview approach with a critical incident technique in interviewing to examine the experiences of 10 Grade 9–11 business owners who run social media-based businesses on Instagram.FindingsThe results demonstrate that student business owners were able to capitalise on social media for venture creation and informal learning. They effectively engaged in experiential learning cycles with active help-seeking and mentorship in response to challenges in their business journey. A variety of resources within social media, their social circle and the internet were employed by students, highlighting the role the self-directed element plays in their experiential learning process.Practical implicationsThe research urges institutions to recognise the potential of informal learning on social media and offer more support to strengthen students’ learning.Originality/valueThis research represents the first exploratory study on the potential of school-age teens’ self-initiated informal entrepreneurial learning while testifying the theory of the self-directed experiential learning cycle in the context of social media businesses. The study offers novel insights into the fields of students’ informal learning, entrepreneurial learning and social media learning.

Toward Using Technology for Instructional Purposes in Lesotho

Preparing both teachers and students for the technological world is very challenging, requiring a total shift of the entire education system to accommodate the thorough use of technology. Studies show that technological competence is the key factor that holds the entire modern education structure together. However, the use of technology in teacher education is still delayed as student-teachers engage in technology for activities without meaningful learning purposes, such as fun-related activities. This calls for thorough training meant to remove the physical barriers that hinder student-teachers’ use of technology in the classroom. This study examined factors that influence student- teachers’ self-efficacy in using technology in learning in one teacher education institution in Lesotho. A systematic review approach was adopted to select and analyze studies on student-teachers and the use of technology in tertiary education. After screening for relevance, some studies were excluded. The themes that emerged from the selected studies were analyzed to build themes that are relevant to student-teachers' self-efficacy in using technology in learning. Findings indicate that student-teachers’ self-efficacy in using technology is influenced by the lack of technological tools in classrooms and computer laboratories, lack of professional development, lack of information and communication technology (ICT) policy, cost of connectivity, and the benefits of technology in learning entrepreneurship education. These findings imply that teacher education is required to restructure its curriculum and offer adequate support to student- teachers and lecturers. In addition, teacher education must restructure their classrooms and computer laboratories to shape student-teachers for future roles.

The Influence Of Entrepreneurial Practice Learning On Entrepreneurial Activities And Formation Of Character

The Influence of Learning Entrepreneurship Practices on Entrepreneurial Activities and Character Formation. This research aims to determine: 1) the influence of learning entrepreneurial practices on student activities. 2) entrepreneurial practice learning methods for the formation of students' entrepreneurial character. This type of research is quantitative with an ex post facto research design. The population in this study were students in classes X1 and X2 at SMKN 1 Sambelia. This research did not use a sample but used a population as the research object with a population of 48 students. The data analysis technique used is simple regression analysis. The results of this research show that: 1) There is a significant influence of the entrepreneurial practice learning method on student activities, in this case shown by the calculated t value of (3.711) > t table (1.717). 2) There is a significant influence of the entrepreneurial practice learning method on the formation of This entrepreneurial character of students is shown by the calculated t value (4.737) > t table (1.717).

Networking Frictions and Entrepreneurial Learning in Developing Economies

Relationships with peers help entrepreneurs learn and improve firm performance. Recent scholarship confirms that events—social gatherings such as mixers, conferences, or training programs—can help entrepreneurs build valuable social connections. Yet, for entrepreneurs in developing economies, networking frictions may make connecting with peers challenging and undermine the benefits of events. We argue that when networking frictions are high, the value of events will lie more in connecting neighbors rather than bringing together distant peers. In the presence of networking frictions, neighbors are both less likely to be someone the entrepreneur has already learned from and easier to sustain a relationship with. To test this argument, we use data from a series of networking events in Togo during which entrepreneurs were randomly assigned to meet with peers from across the city of Lomé. We find that entrepreneurs who were assigned to neighboring peers were much more likely to sustain a relationship, learn from their peer’s management knowledge, and in turn benefit more: Profits increase by 10% when entrepreneurs get to know peers who are located on average 1 km closer to them. Our results highlight the central role that networking frictions play in shaping who entrepreneurs in developing economies can successfully learn from. Pelatihan Pembuatan Terarium Sebagai Produk kewirausahaan Bagi Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Danau Kabupaten Oku Selatan

Formal school education institutions, one of which is Senior High School (SMA/SMK/MA) both public and private, which is in the process of achieving success in the teaching and learning process, are currently starting to implement entrepreneurship programs for students, especially since the Covid pandemic -19 hit. South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKUS) is one of the districts in the province of South Sumatra, administratively located on the Sumatran highway so that the development of this district continues to progress. Various educational institutions both private and public, including SMAN 1 Sindang Danau. This PkM program aims to provide information for students and teachers in making terrariums as entrepreneurship learning based on science lessons. The activity was carried out on October 20 2022 at SMAN 1 Sindang Danau, OKU Selatan Regency. The implementation method is done by direct simulation. The results achieved by students of SMAN 1 Sindang Danau can apply terrarium making techniques as an application of science learning.

Entrepreneurship education in higher education (2002–2022): A technology-empowered systematic literature review

The field of entrepreneurship education (EE) is intricate and necessitates a thorough evaluation incorporating a broad spectrum of research. This study addresses this gap by utilizing big data analytics and machine learning techniques to analyze existing EE research. By dissecting the most prominent publications, journals, and authors in the EE domain, this study presents an up-to-date overview of the current state of research. The investigation focuses on seven key themes in EE research, namely gender and pedagogy, innovation and technology transfer, entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurial mindset, entrepreneurial learning, entrepreneurial ecosystem and self-efficacy, and the theory of planned behavior. Through a systematic analysis, this paper provides valuable insights and recommendations for future research in EE. These recommendations include investigating the impact of Entrepreneurship Education on students, exploring the role of entrepreneurial intentions in start-up success, assessing the influence of Entrepreneurship Education on entrepreneurial intentions and capabilities, formulating strategies for effective Entrepreneurship Education and entrepreneurial intentions, and examining the factors that influence entrepreneurial intentions in university students. By addressing these research areas, this study aims to propel the field of EE forward and contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship education.

Impact of Entrepreneurial Learning on Tourism Business Performance: Exploring Mediating Role of Innovation Capabilities Through PLS-SEM

ABSTRACT The present study investigates the mediating role of innovation capability between entrepreneurial learning and tourism business performance dimensions. Cognitive Social Learning Theory has been applied to build the research model in Entrepreneurial learning, Innovation capability, and Business performance. 350 questionnaires were collected from tourism business firms/organizations and renascent entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The results were significant regarding the mediating role of innovation capability in the relationship between entrepreneur learning and business performance dimensions. The findings shall help better understand how Innovation capabilities affect the relationship between entrepreneurial learning and the business performance of tourism entrepreneurs. Considering the extent of literature and essential aspects of entrepreneur learning and business performance with the mediating role of innovation capability, the research model of the present study would enrich the existing literature and shall provide a better understanding of how Innovation capabilities affect the relationship between entrepreneurial learning and the business performance of tourism entrepreneurs and simultaneously have validated and favored the theory of cognitive, social learning.

Pemanfaatan Media Canva untuk Membuat Label Kemasan dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mendesain pada Pembelajaran Produk Kreatif dan Kewirausahaan pada Siswa Kelas XI SMKS Perikanan dan Kelautan Jember

This research is a qualitative study, which involves observing people and behaviors that can be observed using spoken or written words to produce relevant descriptive data. The success indicators in this research are the improvement of Designing abilities in Creative Product and Entrepreneurship Learning for 11th-grade students at the Fisheries and Marine Vocational High School (SMKS) in Jember. The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the utilization of Canva media in creating Packaging Labels to enhance designing skills in creative product and entrepreneurship learning for 11th-grade students at SMKS Fisheries and Marine in Jember. 2) To ascertain the enhancement of Packaging Label designing skills using Canva media in creative product and entrepreneurship learning for 11th-grade students at SMKS Fisheries and Marine in Jember. The respondents of this study are 13 11th-grade students from the Fisheries and Marine Vocational High School (SMKS) in Jember, comprising 8 males and 5 females. Data collection procedures involve steps taken by the researcher to obtain data in efforts to address the research problem. Specific techniques are required in data collection to ensure that the expected data are gathered and are truly relevant to the issues being addressed. The data collection procedures in this research include observation, interviews, and documentation. The qualitative research conducted at SMKS Fisheries and Marine in Jember yields the following conclusions: 1. Implementation of learning using Canva media for creating Packaging Labels can enhance designing skills in creative product and entrepreneurship learning for 11th-grade students at SMKS Fisheries and Marine in Jember. 2. The effectiveness of designing Packaging Labels with Canva Media is evident in that: a) it enhances designing skills and saves time, b) it boosts students' learning motivation by presenting related images and videos, c) Canva Media can be used for creating other media besides packaging label designs, enabling students to develop their skills in creating new things with Canva's assistance, d) with Canva Media, learning can enhance designing skills and save time, allowing students to creatively design products more effectively both inside and outside the classroom.

Web-based Educational Game Application to Improve the Ability to Identifying the Main Idea in Indonesian Language Learning

The limited provision of innovative, interesting, and technology-based learning media can affect the running of teaching and learning activities in schools to be less than optimal, especially in Indonesian subjects. The purpose of this research is to create a web-based educational game media application to improve the ability to identify the main idea in Indonesian language subjects on learning entrepreneurship material for grade V elementary school students. This study uses a type of Research and Development research with the ADDIE research and development model. Techniques applied in data collection are test techniques through pretests and posttests, as well as non-test techniques through observation activities, interviews, data in the form of documents, and questionnaires or questionnaires. The questionnaire instrument in data collection is in the form of a rating scale that has passed testing from media experts, material experts, practitioners, and students. The sample for this research was 24 fifth-grade elementary school students. Quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and qualitative descriptive analysis are the two techniques used in this study. The data analysis process in this study uses the SPSS 29 application which includes several test processes including the normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and N-Gain test. The results of the study obtained that the web-based educational game learning media developed is very feasible and effective to be applied to the Indonesian language learning process to improve the understanding and learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school.

How entrepreneurial role models impact on entrepreneurial outcomes: A gender perspective

This paper examines whether male and female students respond differently when exposed to predominantly masculine or feminine role models. Drawing on Social Cognitive Career Theory, we explore if the exposition of individuals to entrepreneurial role models can significantly influence their entrepreneurial outcomes in terms of entrepreneurial intentions (EI), entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) and entrepreneurial learning (EL). We collected data from 106 engineering students attending an entrepreneurial program in 2019/20 with an exposition to a prevalent male entrepreneurial role model, and from 88 engineering students attending the same program in 2022/23 where the exposition was a prevalent female entrepreneurial role model. A pre- and post-course survey was run in both years to measure differences in ESE, EI and EL. Results reveal a gender effect in EI, as female role models boost female students’ confidence and improve their intention to start entrepreneurial activities. EL increased independently by the gender. Finally, female role models impact the ESE of female students, while male role models impact both. This research extends intention-based analysis by incorporating gendered structural barriers, shedding light on their demonstrable influence on entrepreneurial outcomes.

The influence of agile leadership, motivation of entrepreneurial, and organizational culture on the Performance of Creative Economy MSMEs on Lombok Island

<span lang="EN-US">The Covid-19 pandemic has encouraged efforts to recover the national economy through the MSME sector, which is important for the economy. This sector, while vital, has also been negatively affected by the pandemic. In a difficult economic situation, special attention to MSMEs is important because internal and external factors affect business performance. In addition, adaptability (agility) and entrepreneurial motivation also have a significant role in facing this challenge. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between Agile leadership, motivation of entrepreneurial, and organizational culture on the performance of creative economy MSMEs on Lombok Island. The study used quantitative methods by taking respondents from entrepreneurs or owners of creative economy MSMEs, especially food and baverage (culinary). The output produced is the National Journal with ISSN and teaching materials that enrich entrepreneurship learning materials and human resources.</span>

How can new farmers improve their entrepreneurial performance? Qualitative comparative analysis based on fuzzy sets

Based on the configuration theory, this paper discusses the multiple concurrent causes and causal complex mechanisms affecting the performance differences among different new farmers. Using the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method, taking 40 cases of CCTV’s “ZHI FU JING” column as samples, the paper analyzes the necessary conditions for new farmers to produce high performance by the anthefactory-variable configuration composed of human capital, social capital, psychological capital, entrepreneurial learning and entrepreneurial opportunity identification. The results show that: (1) high human capital is the necessary core condition for new farmers to produce high entrepreneurial performance, lack of high entrepreneurial learning and lack of high entrepreneurial opportunity identification is the core necessary condition for low entrepreneurial performance; (2) the driving mechanism of new farmers’ high entrepreneurial performance is divided into three paths, and the driving mechanism of new farmers’ low entrepreneurial performance is divided into two paths; and (3) the ways of inhibiting new farmers’ performance and promoting their performance are asymmetrical.

Manajemen Kurikulum Program Pembelajaran Kewirausahaan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan

This research examines the planning, implementation and supervision of the entrepreneurship learning program at the Cukir Diwek Jombang Muallimat College Vocational School. The aim of this research is to evaluate how curriculum planning is carried out, how learning programs are implemented, and how supervision of these programs is carried out. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation of school principals, curriculum cadets and field teachers. The research results show that entrepreneurship curriculum planning is carried out comprehensively by involving various stakeholders, ensuring the curriculum is relevant and in line with the needs of the job market. Implementation of the program uses experiential learning methods, combining theory and direct practice, as well as collaboration with local industry, although it still requires improvements in the use of technology and ongoing training for teachers. Supervision is carried out through academic and non-academic approaches, ensuring the achievement of educational goals and the development of students' practical skills. In conclusion, the entrepreneurship learning program at the Jombang Muallimat Vocational School is effective in equipping students with the necessary entrepreneurial skills, but requires several improvements to achieve more optimal results

The Relationship Between The Learning Outcomes Of Entrepreneurship Courses And Student Entrepreneurial Motivation

This research is motivated because the higher the learning outcomes of entrepreneurship courses, the higher the entrepreneurial motivation of students. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning outcomes of entrepreneurship courses with the entrepreneurial motivation of Family Welfare Education students. This type of research is Descriptive Quantitative with a Correlational Approach. The research was conducted at the Department of Family Welfare, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Padang State University. The student population was 314 people and the sample was 76 people using the Random Sampling Sampling Technique. The source of the research data is students of the Family Welfare Education Study Program who have taken entrepreneurship courses. Data collection techniques using Questionnaires or Questionnaires are measured using Likert Scale. Data Analysis techniques are carried out by Correlation Coefficient Analysis and Correlation Coefficient Test. The results illustrate that the Entrepreneurship Learning Outcomes of Family Welfare Education Study Program students are in the Very Good Category, namely With Praise with Frequency Results of 29 (39%), and the Entrepreneurial Motivation of Family Welfare Education Students as a whole is included in the Medium Category of 26 (35%). Based on the hypothesis test, there is positive and significant relationship between the learning outcomes of the Entrepreneurship Course and the Entrepreneurial Motivation of Family Welfare Education Students with the results of the score obtaining a significant value of 0.03.

Entrepreneurship education: Analyzing the perception and motivation undergone in higher education institutions

Young people in India are becoming more accepting of the profession of entrepreneurship. While the creation, financing, and positive and negative outcomes of a start-up have all been widely researched, more research is needed to understand the entrepreneurial environment that supports, nurtures, and educates entrepreneurs. Higher education institutions are one such element of this ecosystem that is essential in educating India’s future business people. Therefore, this study is intended to establish the practice of entrepreneurship learning in higher educational institutions in India and to analyze the perception of students on entrepreneurship education. Using proportional stratified random selection, 345 undergraduate students from India’s top-ranked universities made up the overall sample for this. SEM analysis was used to assess the study’s hypotheses, and the link between the variables was investigated using SEM analysis. The results showed thatgovernment regulation, socioeconomic circumstances, entrepreneurial orientation, monetary assistance, and entrepreneurial confidence favorably impact entrepreneurial motivation. The findings of this study will aid in the modification and customization of entrepreneurial programs to satisfy the needs of different organizations and geographical regions.

The distribution, integration and practices of university accelerators in Malaysian higher education institutions

PurposeThis study investigates the distribution, integration and practices of university accelerators in higher education institutions of a developing country. Next, this study proposes a pedagogic mode that combines theoretical and experiential learning to enhance higher education institutions’ ability to co-create and deliver an entrepreneurial learning environment for its students, graduates, and academic staff.Design/methodology/approachThis study applied a multi-methods design. The quantitative design collected secondary data of entrepreneurship education programmes and university accelerators by browsing websites of 39 Malaysian higher education institutions in June 2023. The qualitative design collected primary data in the form of narratives of practices of university accelerators and secondary data in the form of descriptions of practices of university accelerators from selected exemplar entrepreneurial universities.FindingsTwenty-five higher education institutions, consisting of 15 public higher education institutions and 10 private higher education institutions, have some form of university accelerator initiatives. However, there is a lack of evidence to suggest integration of entrepreneurship education programmes and university accelerators in Malaysian higher education institutions, with the exception of a few higher education institutions. Lastly, this study found heterogeneity in the characteristics and outcomes of different university accelerators in Malaysian higher education institutions.Research limitations/implicationsThis study is exploratory and subjected to the availability and accuracy of published information on the websites and in the reports of Malaysian higher education institutions surveyed.Originality/valueThis study contextualises university accelerators in a developing country where this type of research is scarce and contributes to the body of knowledge by replicating prior empirical analyses.

Implementasi Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah Kewirausahaan untuk Meningkatkan Minat Mahasiswa Berwirausaha Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi Universitas Mulawarman

The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of learning in entrepreneurship courses to increase students' interest in entrepreneurship in the Mulawarman University Economic Education Study Program. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection uses interviews. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and verification/drawing conclusions. 1). Understanding of entrepreneurship course material, where students enjoy learning entrepreneurship courses and pay enough attention when the lecturer explains the material, 2). Entrepreneurship training, where students are interested in taking part in entrepreneurship training held on campus or outside campus, 3). Dare to take risks, where students have the courage to take risks without feeling afraid of the risks that will occur, 4). Observing activities about entrepreneurship, where students only need to pay attention to tips or tricks from someone who has been successful in entrepreneurship, 5). Participate in entrepreneurial activities, where students take part in seminar activities and have been involved in the business activities of family and friends.
