EFEKTIFITAS PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI QUIZIZZ TERHADAP MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Quizizz application on students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics on exponents and root forms at Muhammadiyah 48 Medan Private Middle School. The background to this research focuses on the low interest and learning outcomes of students in mathematics subjects, which are often considered difficult and boring by many students. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental research design, namely one group pretest posttest design where the sample consists of 50 students selected using total sampling techniques. The results of the research show that there is a significant increase in student interest and learning outcomes after using the Quizizz application, namely scores The average interest in learning mathematics after using the Quizizz application is 76.54 with a gain value in the medium category of 0.448 and the average score for learning mathematics after using the Quizzizz application is 78.60 with a gain value in the medium category 0.478. The paired sample t-test produced a significance value of less than 0.05, namely 0.001, indicating that the use of the Quizizz application was effective in increasing students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics. So it can be concluded that the integration of technology in learning, especially through the Quizizz application, has been proven to be able to make mathematics learning more interesting, fun and interactive, thereby increasing students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics.

Short-Term and Long-Term Effects of COVID-19 and Remote Learning: Experiences of Parents Supporting Children with Mathematical Learning Disabilities in Israel

Background: Over the last three years, many studies have explored the effect of pandemic closures on learning. However, in Israel, the perspectives of parents on the short- and long-term effects of the lockdowns on students with mathematical learning disabilities (MD), have rarely been examined. Method: To fill this gap, MD (n = 33) or typically developing (n = 50) children were selected. They were in the 1st and 2nd grades during the closures, and we tested them and their surroundings, two years later. Results and Conclusions: First, according to the parent’s survey, children with MD had physical conditions similar to the TD group, the two groups had similar stable connections to the internet, computer, and a quiet environment. However, MD children (1) needed more help and (2) had a harder time concentrating during virtual math classes compared to TD children. Moreover, the coronavirus closures resulted in a greater learning gap in the MD children compared to the TD children. We found positive associations between difficulties reported by the parents and actual weakness in performances in complex multiplication and division and verbal working memory.

Executive performance and mathematic learning difficulties

Considering the association between Executive Functions (EF) and performance in mathematic, we aimed to analyse the low executive functions – which impact the individual’s personal, social, and educational functioning –, and their associations with this performance and sociodemographic aspects not already explored in students aged 8 to 12 years. One hundred and ten participants were evaluated using the MMSE, Coruja PROMAT, NEUPSILIN-INF, FDT and a Sociodemographic Questionnaire. Correlation and regression analysis indicated that low executive accomplishment influences performance in mathematics, especially considering working memory and cognitive flexibility. The variables gender, family income and parents’ age were not related to the presentation of low EF. In contrast, the sociodemographic aspects of school shift and parents’ education were shown to be related to executive performance, especially among public school students, revealing the importance of attention to these factors.

Analysis of Mathematical Connection Ability and Self-Confidence on Junior High School Students

This research is motivated by the importance of students’ mathematical connection abilities and self-confidence in learning mathematics. Mathematical connection ability is an important factor in understanding mathematical concepts. The aim of this research is to analyze the level of students’ mathematical connection abilities and junior high school students’ self-confidence. The method used in this research is a descriptive-qualitative method. The research subjects were 37 students in class VIII-C of SMPN 3 Margahayu. The instruments used were four items of mathematical connection test material on the System of Two-Variable Linear Equations and non-tests of students’ confidence in learning mathematics. The results of the analysis show that the average score of all mathematical connection ability test questions in indicator 1 using relationships between mathematical topics is 5%, indicator 2 is understanding equivalent representations of the same concept (36%), indicator 3 uses mathematics in everyday life (52%), and indicator 4 uses mathematics in other subjects (27%). So the average is 30%. So the students’ mathematical connection ability is included in the low category. Most students are unable to solve problems with indicators using relationships between mathematical topics. This is shown by the results of the mathematical connection ability test; students did not connect optimally. But in learning mathematics, students already have good self-confidence.

Penguatan Konsep Bernalar pada Pembelajaran Matematika Melalui Workshop Matematika Bagi Guru Segugus II Leuwiliang Bogor

Mathematics requires unique teaching strategies so that abstract things that are never seen in real life can be rationally accepted by students, especially at the elementary school level. So students must be given the opportunity to learn through meaningful experiences so that they are able to understand concepts correctly. Reasoning mathematics learning means that the thinking process occurs when learning mathematics. Active involvement of students in the learning process is an absolute requirement for the ability to interpret basic concepts in mathematics. The basic concepts understood will be internalized as long-term mathematical knowledge. How to explain the concept of area of flat shapes to students is a challenge for elementary school teachers. This service activity aims to reinforce to teachers the importance of the concept of reasoning in mathematics learning. The partners for this community service activity are Public Elementary Schools in Cluster II, Leuwiliang District, Bogor Regency, which consists of 6 Public Elementary Schools. Through this activity, it is hoped that teachers will continue to develop their competencies and increase their capacity so that they become professional teachers. The service activities went well, the activity participants gave positive responses and stated that the training was very useful for improving teachers' professional competence and the quality of mathematics learning.

ANALISIS DESKRIPSI DISPOSISI PRODUKTIF SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DITINJAU DARI GENDER

Productive disposition is the tendency, attitude, or mental state of a person towards a thing or situation. For example, in mathematics, students' attitudes and tendencies towards mathematics, such as belief in the value of mathematics, motivation in learning mathematics, or confidence in their ability to understand mathematical concepts. This study aims to describe students' productive disposition in learning mathematics in terms of gender. This research uses quantitative descriptive data analysis with survey method. This research was conducted on class X students in 30 students divided into 15 males and 15 females of SMAN 5 West Karawang selected through purposive sampling method. The data collection technique used was the distribution of a productive disposition questionnaire consisting of 20 statements and measuring against seven indicators. The results showed that productive disposition in mathematics learning was in the good category with a percentage of 52%, this was supported by the amount of activeness of female students 27% compared to male students who were only 25%.

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PBL BERBANTUAN ICE BREAKING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN REPRESENTASI MATEMATIS DAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII MTs ZIA SALSABILA

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by ice breaking on students' mathematical representation abilities and learning independence. The method used is a quantitative method with an experimental research type. The sample consists of 27 students of VIII B as an experimental class and 20 students of class VIII A as a control class at MTs Zia Salsabila Bandar Setia. The results of the study showed that the t-test analysis that had been carried out obtained a p-value = 0.00 0.05 and p-value = 0.0001 0.005. The data explains that is accepted and is rejected. The average n-gain obtained in the experimental class was 0.64 and 0.57 while the control class obtained a value of 0.16 and 0.29 so that the average difference in n-gain was 0.48 and 0.28. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the mathematical representation ability and learning independence of students who learn using the PBL learning model assisted by ice breaking are better than students who learn in class with conventional learning models. There is an influence of the use of the PBL learning model assisted by ice breaking on students' mathematical representation abilities and learning independence.

BUDAYA TELLASEN TOPAK: DARI KETUPAT KE IDE AKTIVITAS SPATIAL SKILLS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA

Tellasen topak, which is identical to ketupat, is a culture of choosing, weaving, and processing janur into a medium for ketupat food. This culture is full of spatial skills activities, because it turns two-dimensional objects into space objects (three-dimensional). The purpose of this study is to explore the idea of spatial skills activities from ketupat in mathematics learning. The research method is qualitative research. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation, and internet search. Data analysis is in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results concluded that in choosing, weaving, and processing janur into a medium for ketupat food, there are spatial skills activity ideas in the form of spatial visualization, spatial orientation and spatial rotation. In math learning, these ideas play a role in explaining the concepts of geometry, measurement and number. The results of this study contribute to mathematics learning, namely in developing culture-based teaching modules.

SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW: BAGAIMANA PEMBELAJARAN GEOMETRI 3D DENGAN BERBANTUAN GEOGEBRA

The rapid development of technology can support progress in the field of education, including in mathematics learning. Geogebra is one of the media that can be used in learning, especially in 3D geomtery learning. The purpose of this research with Systematic Literature Review is to provide a description and help solve deeper problems in students' computational abilities when using math software. Acquisition of data through Publish or Perish which contains a Google Scholar database that is reviewed from 200 articles related to 3D geometry learning published in the period 2020-2024 identified by SINTA that can be accessed and is not a foreign language and original research with a final usable 30 articles. The results showed information that learning by using Geogebra is very influential and effective, efficient, and significant so that there is an influence on improving student learning

Penerapan Media Pembelajaran Audio Visual Berbasis Canva untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Siswa dalam Mata Pelajaran TIK

Mathematics learning activities at SMP Negeri 4 Ciawigebang in general still use textbooks or package books as one of the references used. The school where the research was conducted still uses package books as a learning medium and the method used uses the lecture method, so that in this case Mathematics learning becomes monotonous and less interesting and less motivating to students. This research aims to improve mathematical skills by using Scratch media. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental type using a research design, namely pretest posttest control design which was carried out at SMP Negeri 4 Ciawigebang. The population used in this study is students in grades 8b and 8e with a total of 54 students. Data collection techniques through observation, tests and questionnaires. The analysis of research data uses a t-test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a change in the improvement of student learning outcomes after the application of scratch learning media to the material of the two-variable linear equation system in mathematics in grade VII of SMP Negeri 4 Ciawigebang

The Development of Interactive Powerpoint Learning Media to Increase Students’ Critical Thinking Ability

Mathematics learning can develop students' creativity to solve problems in various life situations. Learning mathematics helps train students to think critically and creatively to solve problems. Considering the reality on the ground and the importance of critical thinking skills. from an early age. One effort to develop critical thinking abilities is to use media directed at these abilities. The method used in this research is research and development, with a modified 4-D development model in three stages, namely determination, design and development. This research aims to determine the development of interactive teaching materials assisted by power points, on Statistics material. The subjects of this research were 3 mathematics teachers at SMP Mutiara 4 Bandung. The instrument for developing teaching materials uses interview instruments. The teaching materials validated by three validators have a total score on the interactive power point of 275 with a maximum ideal score of 300 and have a percentage of 92.31% in the valid category based on the teaching material criteria. The validator's assessment of the interaction strength score shows that the percentage score for each aspect and the total percentage score are both in the valid category. Based on the research and development process and results, the following conclusions were obtained. Developing learning media using interactive Powerpoint, critical thinking skills are within valid criteria. The results obtained can be tested on junior high school or MTs students in accordance with the considerations and assessments of validator experts.

The Development of Powerpoint-Assisted Algebra Learning Media to Increase Students’ Mathematical Communication Ability on Junior High School

The matter of algebraic form is crucial to study because the matter of the algebraical form is not only related to other mathematical matters but also related to everyday life, but there are still many students who have difficulty in communicating the explanation of the origin of the algebraic form. This is because the learning media used by the teacher is not interactive, so it affects the student's understanding and communication skills. For this reason, the study aims to cultivate the interest in learning and cultivate students' mathematical communication skills by developing algebraic learning media supported by a PowerPoint application. The method used in this research is research and development, with the development of a modified 4-D model in three stages namely determining, designing, and developing. The tool used to measure the quality of the learning media is a validation questionnaire for measuring the validity and student response to strengthen practicality. The results of this study show that the quality of the learning media meets the valid criteria with an overall average score of 79% and From the test carried out against students obtained an average scoring of 76%. Thus, the development of algebra learning media supported by the PowerPoint application has good quality and can be used in mathematical learning.

EKSPLORASI ETNOMATEMATIKA PADA BENTUK JAJANAN PASAR DI DAERAH JEPARA UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SMP

In the cultural context, traditional market snacks in the Jepara area have the potential to integrate ethnomathematics into mathematics learning. Traditional market snacks in Jepara offer various forms of snacks in which there is a geometric concept. The purpose of this study is to find out the concept of geometry in traditional market snacks in the Jepara area. In this study, qualitative methods are used with an ethnographic approach. The objects studied by the researcher were 5 traditional market snacks, with 3 respondent subjects, namely traditional market snack sellers found in Jepara market, Pecangaan market, and Tegalsambi market. Several techniques for collecting data are used in this study, including observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research conducted by the researcher, the results were obtained that there are geometric concepts and cultural elements in 5 traditional market snacks in the Jepara area, including a ball-shaped klepon, a rectangular layer, a ball-shaped onde-onde, a triangular prism-shaped banana bongko, and a solid half-ball shaped kintelan. The results of this research are expected to function as an effective alternative learning resource to introduce geometry concepts to students.

LITERASI MATEMATIKA SMA DENGAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN MODUL

Mathematical literacy is an important skill that students need in learning mathematics. The Problem Based Learning model invites students to be able to solve existing problems to improve students' mathematical literacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical literacy of SMA N 1 Grabag students during learning by using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by modules. The research method used was quantitative research method. This research design uses Pretest - Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all X grade students at SMA N 1 Grabag totaling 9 classes. Sampling in this study used cluster random sampling and obtained an experimental class, namely class X E5 with 36 students and a control class, namely class X E6 with 35 students. The data collection method used the mathematical literacy test method. The statistical analysis used normality test, homogeneity test, independent sample t test, and one party t test.

The Effect of Educational Digital Games on Mathematics Attitude in Primary School

The research on the effect of educational digital games on second-grade students' attitudes towards learning mathematics opens the doors to a new educational approach that will shape the mathematical abilities of the future. This study examines the effect of educational digital games on the attitudes of second-grade primary school students towards learning mathematics. The research study group comprised two branches of second-grade students in the same school in the 2023-2024 academic year. The research was carried out with "pre and post-test design with control group", one of the experimental design types of quantitative research method. The students were divided into 40 experimental groups and 40 control groups. During the research period, the experimental group was made to work from various digital educational programs such as Wordwall, GeoGebra, Derslig. The control group was taught with traditional methods. A 27-item, 5-point Likert-type Mathematics Attitude Scale (MAT) was used as a data collection tool. The scale was applied to both groups of students before and after the experimental application. The data obtained were analysed using the SPSS package program. The pre-test data revealed that the attitude levels of the experimental and control groups were equal. Post-test data showed no significant difference between the experimental and control groups. A positive increase was observed in the pre-test and post-test results of the experimental group. These results were interpreted in different contexts.

Implementation of Discovery Learning Model with Window Shopping Approach to Improve Mathematical Communication Ability of High School Students

The low ability of students' mathematical communication in learning mathematics, especially in expressing mathematical situations or problems in the form of pictures, diagrams, language or mathematical symbols, or mathematical models makes students less active in learning and their learning motivation decreases. This study aims to determine the achievement of students' mathematical communication skills through the discovery learning model with a window shopping approach. The method in this study is a quasi-experimental research type consisting of 2 classes, namely the experimental class that uses the discovery learning model with the window shopping approach and the control class that uses ordinary learning at school with a total of 70 students from class XI SMA in one of the public high schools in Bandung. The research test instrument was in the form of a test that would be analyzed using SPSS 21 to compare learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. The result of the study was that the achievement of the students' mathematical communication skills in the experimental class was better than that of the control class at a significance level of 0.05 where the average communication ability of the experimental class was 81.74 and that of the control class was 77.31. The effectiveness of learning in the experimental class showed that it was more active in group discussions as indicated by the interaction and creativity of students in presenting learning material in each group, and almost 85% of students enjoyed learning using the discovery learning model with the window shopping approach.

The Improvement of Students’ Mathematical Communication Ability and Learning Interest on Junior High School through The Application of Reciprocal Teaching

This research is an experiment which aims to examine improving the mathematical communication skills and interest in learning of junior high school students in set material by implementing the reciprocal teaching learning model. The problem behind this research is that students' mathematical communication skills and interest in learning in set material are still in the low category, so learning alternatives are needed that can develop students' mathematical communication skills and interest in learning. The research method used is Pre-Experimental with a one group pretest-posttest research design. The population in this study were all class VII students in one of the private junior high schools in Karawang Regency. The sample in this research was 25 students with a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a communication skills test and a non-test in the form of a learning interest questionnaire. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, it shows that students' mathematical communication skills after implementing the reciprocal teaching model are better, namely from 8.32 to 75.32 and students' interest in studying set material after using the reciprocal teaching model is 60% in the low interest category and 40% with the high category which was previously 32% in the very low category and 68% in the low interest category. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the reciprocal teaching model can improve the mathematical communication skills and interest in learning of class VII SMP students in set material, although not optimally.

Design of Mathematics Learning Media Using Genially Combined Quizwhizzer Platfrom for Class X Senior High School Students

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness, practicality, and validity of learning media in improving student academic achievement. The method applied is R&D (Research and Development) by adopting the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research findings indicate that the Genially platform- based math learning media combined with Quizwhizzer is declared Valid, based on the assessment of material experts and media experts. Practicality test shows good results, seen from student observation sheets and teacher observation sheets. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the media in improving math learning outcomes is said to increase. In conclusion, the development of mathematics learning media using a combination of the Genially platform and Quizwhizzer proved to be very effective in improving students' understanding of quadratic equation material.

Mathematics Achievement on Probability using The Problem Solving Process of Polya for Students Grade 6

This research aims to comparison of Mathematics learning achievement on probability for students grade 6 after using the problem solving process of Polya with 70% achievement criterion, to comparison of Mathematics learning achievement before and after using the problem solving process of Polya, to Study teamwork and Attitude toward Mathematical for Mathematics learning after using the problem solving process of Polya on probability for students grade 6. The subjectsof this study were 30 in students grade 6 in the second semester of the 2021 academic year at Pasathipatai School Louang Prabang Province. They were randomly selected by using cluster random sampling The instruments including the Lesson Plan focus on problem solving process of Polya, thetest about learning in Mathematics, and the questionnaire about teamwork and Attitude toward Mathematical. A data analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The result found that: Students grade 6 had Achievement in Mathematical learning on probability after using the problem solving process of Polya higher than 70% at the .05 level of significance, had Achievement in Mathematical learning on probability after using the problem solving process of Polya higher than before using the problem solving process of Polya, had teamwork and attitude toward Mathematical for Mathematics learning after using the problem solving process of Polya on probability was at a high level.

Analysis of Mathematical Creative Thinking Ability in View of Students' Confidence in Number Pattern Material

In the 21st century, learning mathematics requires students to master 4 skills, one of which is creative mathematical thinking. This ability will encourage students to have different points of view in solving a problem. The low ability to think creatively in mathematics is shown by the large number of students who are unable to express creative ideas when studying mathematics. One of the things that underlies creativity is self-confidence because there is a relationship between the two. The aim of this research is to describe mathematical creative thinking abilities in terms of self-confidence in number pattern material. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this research were 6 students with high, medium and low self-confidence categories in each class VIII A and VIII B. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, tests and interviews and analyzed using triangulation of sources and techniques. Apart from that, there are 3 stages of data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that students with high self-confidence have a level of creative thinking ability (TKBK) 4 (very creative) by mastering the indicators of fluency, flexibility and novelty. Then students with moderate self-confidence have a creative thinking ability level (TKBK) 3 (creative) by mastering fluency and flexibility indicators. Finally, students with low self-confidence have a creative thinking ability level (TKBK) 3 (creative) by mastering indicators of fluency and flexibility.
