Risk Management and Patient Safety; The National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards

Purpose: The research aims at modifying two Standards of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) framework for UAE healthcare institutions which include both Clinical Governance and Medication Safety standards. This adaptation process is crucial for linking these standards to UAE regulations and healthcare infrastructure because of substantial cultural as well as legal technological and organizational differences between Australia and the UAE. Healthcare facilities in UAE will receive upgraded patient safety and quality of care through standards adaptations which reflect their specific operational needs. Methodology: The analysis methodically evaluates healthcare systems in Australia and UAE by involving their governance structures along with their combination of diverse cultures and system capabilities. A structured framework development method guides standard alignment with the UAE’s regulatory framework and adds suitable leadership strategies for diverse patient populations. The study delves into technology adoption mainly through artificial intelligence (AI) and digital health tools which enhance clinical decision-making ability and patient information retrieval. This analysis determines the implementation feasibility of electronic prescribing and medication tracking frameworks which will support the Medication Safety Standard within the UAE context due to its advanced technology infrastructure. Findings: A comprehensive governance framework requires development in order to achieve compatibility between the Clinical Governance Standard and UAE healthcare framework standards and employee population diversity. A combination of healthcare analytics with AI capabilities leads to substantial improvements in governance decision processes and patient care programs and quality assessment activities. The standard needs effective solutions to address regulatory matching requirements and cultural adaptation needs in order to function properly. Tests show that implementing electronic prescribing systems with nation-wide medication reconciliation programs will improve provider accountability and healthcare professional communication while decreasing medication errors. Adequate technology infrastructure within the UAE promotes these initiatives though the healthcare systems experiences impedance because of technical inconsistencies and regulatory barriers across regions. Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: The UAE requires the development of a specific Clinical Governance Framework to fulfill legal requirements and address multicultural patient needs in the nation. Healthcare institutions must use AI and digital health technology to create data-driven decisions and enhance governance operation and quality assessment systems. It is crucial to establish nation-wide medication reconciliation standards across all healthcare facilities so care management remains consistent while minimizing medication errors in the UAE. The adoption of electronic prescribing systems and medication tracking platforms will boost healthcare provider communication by advancing patient protection measures. More research needs to be performed about AI and machine learning integration to expand the range of NSQHS standards and their application in UAE healthcare facilities.

Bridging the Digital Gap: A Quantitative Study on ICT Integration in Antiguan Secondary Schools

In this article, specific quantitative findings from a mixed-methods study that examined the leadership strategies Antiguan school principals employed to integrate technology into the curriculum are examined. The goal was to provide a critical analysis of the impact of ICT integration in Antiguan Secondary Schools from the perspectives of teachers and students. This study was anchored by the International Standards for Technology in Education (ISTE), as well as the TPACK theoretical frameworks. In order to gather data about participants perceptions of the impact of integrating technology into the curriculum, online questionnaires were administered via Google Forms to educators (N=163) from nine secondary schools, as well as to students (N=256) in Forms 4 and 5. The quantitative data were then subjected to descriptive analyses, independent Samples T-Tests, and One-Way ANOVAs using SPSS 26. The quantitative data analyses highlighted findings that included significant T-Tests related to ICT training and perception of the value of technology among teachers, as well as positive correlations related to higher levels of principal’s involvement and support of ICT integration. To make ICT integration smoother, schools should invest in both pre-service and in-service training for teachers and principals. Additionally, having an up-to-date technology use policy can provide clear guidance for everyone.

Literature Review of Transformational Leadership: A Study of Effective Leadership Strategy

In the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 era, companies face the challenge of continuously adapting and improving human resource competencies as the key to success. High team member performance is crucial and is influenced by transformational leadership. An in-depth understanding of effective leadership strategies supporting positive organizational transformation is important to study. Although previous research has explored transformational leadership, comprehensive analysis of leadership strategy variables that support transformational leadership effectiveness is still limited. This study seeks to fill this gap by profoundly analyzing the leadership strategy variables that are key to the success of transformational leadership. This study aims to explore and analyze the variables of effective leadership strategies, especially in the context of transformational leadership. This research uses a qualitative approach by reviewing 10 related journals, consisting of 7 national and three international journals, published in the last 5 years (2018-2023). The data processing technique used content analysis to identify and examine leadership strategy variables that support the effectiveness of transformational leadership. The results revealed that effective communication, developing an inspiring vision, empowering employees, and establishing an organizational culture that supports change are key leadership strategy variables in supporting the success of transformational leadership. The findings of this study have important implications for management practitioners and policymakers in developing effective transformational leadership in organizations. Future research can explore the empirical impact of implementing leadership strategy variables on organizational performance.

The Impact of Autocratic, Democratic, and Laissez-faire Leadership Styles on Employee Motivation “An Analytical Study at Several Directorates within the Ministry of Interior in the Soran Independent Administration”

This study examines how autocratic, democratic and laissez-faire styles of leadership affect employee motivation in the different directorates of the Ministry of Interior, otherwise known as Soran Independent Administration. Research has proven that such styles of leadership are going to affect the way employees engaged and committed themselves to the performance outcome for the sake of organizational success. High levels of democratic leadership or participative decision-making and inclusivity-related structures would, however, create conditions conducive to employee motivation. Recommendations for further research have been made in relation to the study variables. An additional area for further development includes the relationship between laissez-faire, leadership and employee motivation, especially pertaining to the more experienced employees. An autocratic style of leadership is associated with highly centralized decision-making and closely controlled decision environments. In this context, the style may portray itself as very little or even null in terms of motivational influence on employees. This negative emphasis often goes along with lowered creativity and less engagement by the employees with work. These findings indicate the need for anchoring leadership styles under a banner of a scope that should create the entire base of guidelines on open communication trust and employee empowerment as a more strategic approach to better employee motivation and improved organizational outputs. Indeed, by applying participative and autonomous leadership approaches to organizations, such factors become important in creating an environment really conducive to innovation, loyalty, and productivity. Its outcomes point out leadership strategies that can be optimized for effective employee motivation and remind organizations about the practical ways to move toward developmental success.

Leadership Strategy to Improve Lecturer Professionalism

Leadership in higher education has a strategic role in developing the professionalism of lecturers, especially in the Islamic higher education environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze leadership strategies in higher education and policies implemented to develop the professionalism of lecturers based on religious values. The study was conducted in two universities, UNHASY and UNIPDU. The type of research uses qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection involves observation, interviews, and documentation. Primary data was obtained from research subjects, namely the rector and lecturers, while secondary data was in public and private documents. Thematic data analysis techniques and data validity use triangulation techniques. The study results show that UNHASY and UNIPDU have a basic transformational leadership style but have different approaches. UNHASY applies leadership based on religious values ​​, focusing on character and ethical development. At the same time, UNIPDU adopts leadership that is more adaptive to global change and integrates religious practices with technological developments. Both leadership models significantly impact lecturer professionalism, as seen in competence in teaching, the use of technology, and the ability to be a moral role model. This study recommends the importance of developing visionary and responsive leadership to global change and the need to integrate ethical values ​​in developing lecturer professionalism. The implications of this study in the context of higher education confirm that supportive and participative leadership styles are essential for a thriving academic environment. Leadership styles must also be adjusted to the cultural context and values ​​that exist in each institution. This study also contributes to the development of the lecturer's professionalism theory. The findings suggest that effective higher education leadership contributes directly to improving the quality of lecturers' work, which includes innovation in teaching and achieving research targets.

The Meaning of Work: Why "Meaning" May Be More Important than "Purpose"

The article explores the distinction between organizational "purpose" and individual "meaning" in the workplace, drawing on research to demonstrate the critical importance of fostering meaningful work experiences for employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. While a clear organizational purpose provides strategic direction, the article argues that the daily experience of meaningful work - through tangible impact, socially valuable contributions, and personal growth opportunities - is an even more powerful motivator. The article outlines practical strategies for leaders across for-profit, nonprofit, and government sectors to cultivate meaningful work, including clarifying social impact, promoting autonomy, facilitating career development, and measuring meaning alongside traditional metrics. The article concludes that organizations able to provide both a strong sense of purpose and genuinely meaningful daily work will be best positioned to attract and retain top talent in today's competitive job market.

Perceptions of organizational culture among non-patient-facing health system employees

PurposeThe significance of organizational culture (OC) pervades all workplaces, extending even to health systems. While numerous studies have examined the perceptions of OC among nurses and physicians, there is a notable gap in understanding the perspectives of non-patient-facing health system employees. This study aims to fill this void by investigating the perceptions and drivers of OC among non-patient-facing personnel within health systems.Design/methodology/approachThis study employed a mixed-methods approach, starting with a 31-question survey disseminated to health system employees through trade organizations to capture diverse perspectives on OC. Subsequently, employees were invited to participate in semi-structured interviews. A total of 23 interviews were conducted to explore the underlying factors shaping employees’ perceptions of OC.FindingsA total of 67 surveys were completed, with 61 used in the analysis. The results revealed a predominantly positive outlook, highlighting the significance of supportive leadership and involvement in decision-making processes. The qualitative analysis identified four key themes: effective communication and transparency, coordinated teamwork, supportive leadership and the impact of external factors like the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.Practical implicationsEffective leadership should prioritize open communication, employee autonomy and involvement in decision-making. These strategies foster a culture of trust, accountability and engagement, enhancing employee morale and job satisfaction while promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment conducive to long-term success and growth.Originality/valueThis research examines the often-overlooked perspectives of non-patient-facing health system staff, providing valuable insights and strategies for leaders to improve OC and create a more positive, inclusive and supportive work environment.

The role of entrepreneurial orientation in adopting creative strategies: An analytical study in the General Company for Petroleum Products in Nineveh Governorate

The study aimed to test the role of entrepreneurial orientation in terms of its dimensions (proactiveness, initiative, risk tolerance, independence) in adopting Creative strategies in terms of its dimensions (first mover strategy, alliance strategy, and technology leadership strategy), within the framework of testing the relationships of correlation and impact between them in the field investigated. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and adopted the questionnaire as the main tool in collecting data from a sample of (56) respondents. It used statistical analysis tools according to statistical programming (SPSS.26), and reached several results that confirmed the existence of correlations and influence between entrepreneurial orientation and Creative strategies in the researched field.

The Role of School Leadership in Improving the Quality Management of Education at SMA Kabupaten Kutai Barat

This study aims to analyze the role of school leadership in enhancing the quality management of education at SMAN 2 Linggang Bigung, Kutai Barat Regency. The methodology employed in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving the principal, teachers, and representatives of the school committee. The findings indicate that the diversity of leadership styles, such as participative, transformational, and collaborative, significantly contributes to the improvement of educational quality. The strategies implemented, including teacher training, project-based learning, and parental involvement, have had a positive impact on the quality of learning and student motivation.Despite challenges such as budget constraints and resistance from some teachers, the collaborative efforts made by the principal demonstrate great potential for improving educational quality in the region. This research emphasizes the importance of inclusive leadership and adaptive strategies in creating an effective learning environment. The principal should continue to strengthen collaboration with various stakeholders and develop structured training programs for teachers to enhance their competencies in implementing innovative teaching methods. With these measures, it is hoped that SMAN 2 Linggang Bigung can continue to improve educational quality and produce graduates who are ready to compete in the global era. Building Organizational Reputation through Inclusive Leadership and Inclusive Culture: The Mediation Role of Organizational Competitiveness in the Era of Digital Transformation (Case Study on Employees of the Semarang City Regional Revenue Agency)

The purpose of this study is to see how inclusive leadership impacts organizational competitiveness and corporate reputation as a mediating variable in the digital era. The ever-evolving digital era demands organizations to adopt a more inclusive leadership approach in order to increase competitiveness and maintain corporate reputation. Inclusive leadership is becoming increasingly relevant because of its ability to manage diversity and create a work environment that supports innovation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a path analysis model to examine five hypotheses related to organizational competitiveness and corporate reputation: inclusive leadership, organizational competitiveness, inclusive culture, and corporate reputation. This study is expected to provide a better understanding of how inclusive leadership shapes an inclusive culture and how it impacts organizational competitiveness and corporate reputation. The results of this study can be a reference for organizational leaders who are developing more inclusive leadership strategies to face challenges in the current technological era.

Leadership Strategy Evaluation and Succession Planning in Preparing the Company’s Future Leaders

Purpose: This study explores the integration of leadership strategy evaluation and succession planning in preparing future organizational leaders. It investigates how organizations can evaluate the effectiveness of current leadership strategies and align them with long-term organizational goals to ensure sustainable leadership continuity. Research Design and Methodology: This research employs a qualitative systematic literature review (SLR) methodology to synthesize existing leadership strategy evaluation and succession planning research. The study examines key practices, challenges, and theoretical frameworks associated with leadership development and succession planning, drawing from recent studies published after 2018. Findings and Discussion: The findings reveal that organizations integrating leadership strategy evaluation with succession planning are better positioned to ensure leadership continuity. Effective leadership strategies focus on developing internal talent through structured training, mentorship, and job rotations. The study emphasizes the need for leadership strategies to be aligned with organizational goals, enabling future leaders to navigate long-term challenges effectively. Additionally, the research highlights the importance of overcoming challenges such as resistance to change and organizational culture in implementing effective succession planning. Implications: This research provides practical insights for organizations to align leadership development with succession planning, ensuring long-term organizational sustainability. It emphasizes the importance of developing internal leadership pipelines, creating mentoring systems, and integrating human resource policies with strategic goals. Organizations are encouraged to foster a culture of internal mobility and continuous leadership development to ensure seamless transitions and minimize operational disruptions.

The Cost of Misalignment: How Traditional Leadership Practices Fail Neurodivergent Talent

In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, fostering diversity and inclusion is essential for driving innovation and organizational success. However, traditional leadership practices often fall short when addressing the unique needs and potential of neurodivergent talent, including individuals with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurodivergent conditions. This misalignment leads to untapped potential, increased turnover, and diminished organizational performance. This study explores the cost of this disconnect, examining the challenges neurodivergent employees face in workplaces governed by conventional leadership frameworks. It highlights how rigid structures, lack of accommodations, and insufficient awareness perpetuate barriers to productivity and engagement. Madrasah Principal Leadership Strategy to Build Teachers’ Teaching Spirit

This study aims to identify the effective leadership strategies of madrasah principals in improving the teaching enthusiasm of teachers at Luqmanul Hakim Elementary Madrasah. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. This study collects and analyzes various relevant literature sources, including journals, books, and scientific articles related to educational leadership and teacher motivation. The results of the study indicate that effective leadership strategies of madrasah principals in building teacher teaching enthusiasm include several key elements, namely open communication, professional development, and emotional support. The novelty of this study lies in the in-depth analysis of the psychological dimensions of teachers in responding to various leadership strategies. The contribution of this study is expected to provide recommendations for madrasah principals in designing more effective teacher development programs and become a reference for further research on teacher motivation in the context of Islamic education.

Christian Leadership in Education: Religious Moderation in the Era of Diversity 2045

Abstract: Indonesia is expected to become a “Golden Indonesia” in 2045, with priorities of progress, independence, and social justice as well as being a democratic country. But the problem is, in the world of education there are still phenomena found today such as; many students who do not understand about tolerance and the importance of respecting differences, social media is often misused such as spreading misinformation and hate speech, which can cause intolerance and the lack of moderation-based education programs. This research aims to encourage the values of tolerance, mutual respect, and interfaith cooperation in education by finding useful leadership strategies. This research also wants to know how Christian leadership affects the character building and understanding of pluralism of the younger generation. So that in this study using qualitative methods or literature studies, where researchers provide solutions to the problems raised, by collecting various theories and information from library materials, such as books, dictionaries, journals, the Bible, and online media, Then, these sources are academically accountable sources. Therefore, religious moderation in Christian education in 2045 will depend heavily on educational leaders to foster attitudes of tolerance, mutual respect, and shared vision to maintain national unity among people.

Empowerment Leadership in Improving Teacher Motivation and Performance in Educational Environments

This article explores the concept of Empowerment Leadership in the context of education, particularly in enhancing teachers’ performance. Empowerment Leadership is a leadership style that focuses on empowering individuals by granting autonomy, trust, and opportunities for development in decision-making processes. The primary aim of this article is to identify how the implementation of Empowerment Leadership can influence teacher motivation, commitment, and performance in educational settings. By fostering collaboration, open communication, and recognizing teachers’ initiatives and creativity, it is expected to create a more productive and innovative work environment. The findings suggest that leaders who apply Empowerment Leadership can cultivate a positive work climate, strengthen a sense of responsibility, and improve teaching quality, ultimately contributing to enhanced teacher performance. Kyai's Leadership in Prayer-Based Counseling at Pesantren: A Management Strategy

This study explores the implementation of prayer-based counseling at Pondok Pesantren Al Urwatul Wutsqo Jombang under the leadership of the Kyai, and its impact on students' spiritual, emotional, and academic development. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. Findings reveal that structured prayer-based counseling sessions are central to Kyai’s strategy, fostering discipline and reinforcing spirituality. Personalized individual counseling sessions address students' unique challenges, promoting trust and respect. Kyai’s holistic approach involves continuous interaction and collaboration with teachers, ensuring comprehensive support for students' spiritual, emotional, and psychological needs. Integration of traditional Islamic teachings with modern educational practices prepares students for both religious and secular life. The study highlights significant improvements in student behavior and academic performance attributed to the spiritual and emotional support provided by Kyai. Despite its limitations, including the focus on a single pesantren and reliance on qualitative data, the study offers valuable insights into effective leadership strategies within Islamic educational contexts. These findings contribute to the field of spiritual counseling, providing practical guidelines for educators and leaders in similar settings..

Business Strategy and Auditor Report Lag: Do Board Characteristics Matter? Evidence from an Emerging Market

This study investigates the association between business strategy and audit report lag (ARL). In addition, it reveals the moderating influence of board characteristics on this relationship. We used data collected from Egyptian firms listed on EGX100 during the period from 2014 to 2019, which were analyzed using ordinary least squares and binary logistic regression models. Our study revealed a decrease in ARL for firms adopting cost leadership or differentiation strategies. In addition, we found that ARL decreased for cost leadership firms with a higher percentage of non-executive director and board meetings. Moreover, ARL decreased for firms adopting a differentiation strategy with a higher percentage of non-executive directors. This study contributes to the literature on the potential factors affecting the link between business strategy and the quality of financial reporting by focusing on ARL, which is rarely examined in the literature, especially in emerging markets such as Egypt. The findings of this study are valuable to investors, auditors, corporate management, and other stakeholders, who should consider particular board attributes to better predict ARL and ensure the effective adoption and implementation of business strategies.

UNDERSTANDING THE INFLUENCE OF SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: AN IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL AND PERSONALITY TRAITS

This study takes spiritual leadership as the core concept, defines its connotation in a relatively comprehensive manner, and constructs a tool to measure it based on existing literature and theory; provides a standardized measurement tool in the field of spiritual leadership, which has high theoretical and practical value and offers a solid foundation for future related research. Paper delves deeply into the impact of spiritual leadership on employee work performance, drawing on the theory of psychological capital. We verify the mediating role of psychological capital between spiritual leadership and employee work performance. This finding reveals the path of spiritual leadership and provides a new perspective for an in-depth understanding of how it affects employee work performance. In addition, the mediation effect model proposed and verified in this study makes up for the shortcomings of existing research in revealing the specific mechanism of spiritual leadership. This study investigated how the Big Five personality traits moderate the impact of spiritual leadership on employees' psychological capital and work performance. Through the analysis of the Big Five personality questionnaire data, the study found that personality traits such as extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness significantly regulated the relationship between spiritual leadership and psychological capital. In summary, this study systematically revealed the direct impact, mediating mechanism, and moderating factors of spiritual leadership on employee work performance by constructing an integrated path model. This not only enriches the development of spiritual leadership theory but also provides a useful reference for enterprises to implement effective leadership strategies under the background of different employee personality characteristics. Future research can continue to explore other possible mediating and moderating variables in depth to further improve the mechanism of spiritual leadership.

Control VS Flexibility: the Moderating Role of Culture on Leadership and Performance Measurement Relationship Toward SDGs

Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of organisational culture (OC) and leadership (LS) on performance measurement (PM) in the Yemen constriction sector. It aims to examine the direct effects of control-oriented culture (COC) and flexible-oriented culture (FOC) on PM and their moderating influence on the relationship between LS and PM. Theoretical Framework: This topic presents the main concepts and theories that underpin the research. The Competing Values Framework (CVF), leadership theory, and contingency theory stand out, providing a solid basis for understanding how OC and LS affect PM in the dynamic construction sector. Method: This research adopted a quantitative approach using a questionnaire survey tool. Data was collected from managers and engineers of 171 construction firms in Yemen and analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (SEM-PLS) and SPSS tools. Results and Discussion: The results reveal that while COC and FOC significantly affect PM, LS has no direct impact. In addition, the study found that COC plays a moderating role in the relationship between LS and PM. However, FOC does not have such an effect. Research Implications: The results underscore the importance of adopting culturally aligned leadership strategies to improve PM and address the unique challenges in Yemen’s construction industry. These strategies also contribute to achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs), especially improving infrastructure and creating job opportunities. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the theory by emphasising the complementary roles of flexibility and control in shaping PM. It offers practical recommendations for enhancing leadership and performance measurement in dynamic, resource-constrained environments.
