Using KrF-excimer laser and high mass density target of (Bi,Pb) 2Sr 2Ca 2Cu 3O 10+δ (Bi-2223), we have fabricated the “in-situ” thin films of this high T c superconductors. By varying the substrate temperature, the oxygen pressure as well as the distance between target and substrate, we were able to optimize the “in-situ” process for c-axis oriented thin films of Bi-compounds. As deposited films of Bi-2223 show T c,zero at about 60 K and following an annealing procedure on these films, they show T c,zero at 105 K. These films were examined using the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and x-ray diffraction (XRD). The results of magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity and the critical current density will be discussed.
