Abstract Analytical results are discussed from events recorded by the Mont Blanc neutrino detector during 19 large solar flares from August 1988 to March 1990, including the powerful flares of September 29 and October 19, 1989. It is found that no significant neutrino signal coincides temporally with solar flares. Upper limits are obtained for the integral neutrino and antineutrino flux of different flavors.
