Strengthening SMA/MA Students' Language Attitudes Towards Indonesian Through the Word Spinner Application

The main problem using Indonesian was n't in accordance with linguistic rules so that students' s language did not reflect the desired language attitudes. The data obtained becomes material for preparing further strengthening plans which are developed to be media-based. After being validated by material and media experts, the language attitude strengthening model is applied to students using Android cellphones and laptop devices connected to the network. The aim of this research explains the design and implementation of strengthening student's language attitudes towards Indonesian through the medium of the word spinner application. This research uses a qualitative approach with the research method and development of the ADDIE model. Data collection methods through test and non-test instruments. The average validation data by material experts and media experts received a score of 84.45%, which means it is very feasible to apply, while the average error rate in analyzing by SMA and MA respondents is 33.5%, which means students are quite careful in understanding the instrument for strengthening language attitudes. It is also meaningful that this application is suitable for implementation in schools with its main advantage being that it teaches students with learning outcomes that meet 3 aspects of language attitudes, namely cognitive, affective and conative. T he ease of teaching vocabulary and its application in sentences so that students fully understand the language properly and correctly. The limitations of this application require technical requirements, namely the availability of computers/laptops and Android cellphones used by teachers and students who are connected to the internet.

Human Detection for the Betterment of Security System Using PIR Sensor and BLYNK App

Abstract: The Human Detection System (HDS) presented in this project utilizes Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors, Node MCU microcontroller, and the Blynk IoT app to detect human presence in a designated area, providing real-time monitoring and instant alerts. Additionally, an ESP32 module camera is integrated into the system to visually confirm detected events. Upon sensor activation, the ESP32 camera captures footage of the area, allowing users to verify the validity of the alert via a provided link accessible on mobile or laptop devices. This comprehensive approach enhances security measures by combining both sensor-based detection and visual confirmation capabilities, offering an effective solution for surveillance applications.

ANALISIS KUALITAS JARINGAN PADA LAYANAN INDIHOME UNTUK GAME ONLINE

The use and utilization of the Internet network is not only limited to its use for internet needs for social media but also for entertainment such as playing games such as the online game Valorant. The need for good network quality is very necessary to be able to play Valorant well. The purpose of this research is to determine the network quality of internet service provided by Indihome as one of the internet service providers (ISP) in Indonesia when playing the online game Valorant. With measurements using LAN cables and wireless at a speed of 50 Mbps using 2 laptop devices with the Indihome network. Measuring only the Delay and Packet Loss parameters using the Wireshark application, as well as measuring the Throughput parameters for the bandwidth requirements of the Valorant online game using the Netlimiter application for 4 weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays on weekdays and also weekends. The results of this test are the highest values of delay and packet loss for cable use, namely 6.81 ms and 0.285% and the highest values of delay and packet loss for wireless use, namely 6.15 ms and 0.548%. Where in testing the Quality of Service (QoS) value of the Indihome network when using cable and wireless, namely delay and packet loss, it shows good values compared to the TIPHON standard.

Pangenome databases improve host removal and mycobacteria classification from clinical metagenomic data.

Culture-free real-time sequencing of clinical metagenomic samples promises both rapid pathogen detection and antimicrobial resistance profiling. However, this approach introduces the risk of patient DNA leakage. To mitigate this risk, we need near-comprehensive removal of human DNA sequences at the point of sequencing, typically involving the use of resource-constrained devices. Existing benchmarks have largely focused on the use of standardized databases and largely ignored the computational requirements of depletion pipelines as well as the impact of human genome diversity. We benchmarked host removal pipelines on simulated and artificial real Illumina and Nanopore metagenomic samples. We found that construction of a custom kraken database containing diverse human genomes results in the best balance of accuracy and computational resource usage. In addition, we benchmarked pipelines using kraken and minimap2 for taxonomic classification of Mycobacterium reads using standard and custom databases. With a database representative of the Mycobacterium genus, both tools obtained improved specificity and sensitivity, compared to the standard databases for classification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Computational efficiency of these custom databases was superior to most standard approaches, allowing them to be executed on a laptop device. Customized pangenome databases provide the best balance of accuracy and computational efficiency when compared to standard databases for the task of human read removal and M. tuberculosis read classification from metagenomic samples. Such databases allow for execution on a laptop, without sacrificing accuracy, an especially important consideration in low-resource settings. We make all customized databases and pipelines freely available.

MENDELEY APPLICATION TRAINING TO IMPROVE STUDENT FINAL ASSIGNMENT WRITING

Every student who has entered the final study period must complete the final project/thesis as a graduation requirement. In order to produce quality and responsible writing, students must have the provision of knowledge and how to find, find and determine the correct references and write good citations to avoid plagiarism in thesis writing. The Mendeley application can assist in managing reference sources and writing citations, which can synchronize with the references menu in Microsoft Word. So the PKM team of the Mandarin Language Education Study Program, FKIP UNTAN, provided training on using the Mendeley Application to 20 semester VII students taking thesis writing. Based on the results of the training activities, it can see that 95% of the students who attended the training were able to master the Mendeley application. The obstacle faced in this training was the problem of student laptop devices still using a low version of the Windows operating system, resulting in students needing help installing the Mendeley application. However, this obstacle can be handled thanks to the direction and guidance of the lecturer in the PKM Team. The Mendeley application is relatively easy to learn, understand, and operate, so students will use the Mendeley application as support in completing their final project/thesis.

A laptop device is a technology in portable form that can be used to process data like a computer, making it easier for every job in its respective field that uses the system. The aim of the research carried out is to analyze customer needs for the desired laptop and determine the choice of the best laptop, the solution used is the SAW method for selecting the best laptop, then the results obtained from the SAW method process have conceptual stages, namely, determining SAW criteria, determining variable benefit and cost criteria, determining the weight of each criterion, determining SAW alternatives, normalizing the matrix, calculating the V value and ranking based on laptop brands such as Acer, Lenovo, Asus, HP, Dell and MSI.

Gender Differences in Teachers' Digital Literacy Skills in Teaching STEAM

Teachers’ characteristics such as educational level, age, gender, educational experience and digiyal literacy for educational purposes can influence the adoption of an innovation in teaching. This study aimed at analyzing the impact of gender differences on teachers' digital literacy skills in the teaching of STEAM in secondary schools. This study was descriptive research which adopted a Survey type. Four research questions were raised. The population for this research comprised science teachers in Kaduna State secondary schools. A simple random sampling technique was used to select 150 senior science teachers across the three local governments. The questionnaire was designed to elicit information from the senior secondary school teachers on the impact of gender differences on teachers' digital literacy skills in teaching STEAM. Data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistics tools which include pie charts and bar chat. The findings of the study showed that the number of male secondary school teachers was higher than their female counterparts involved in the teaching of STEAM in senior secondary schools. A significant difference exists in the number of male teachers that possess laptop devices compared to their female counterpart. A higher percentage of male teachers possess more digital skills than their female counterpart, lack of school support, limited time and lack of internet access are the major factors affecting the use of digital skills in teaching STEAM. This study recommends that schools should provide the needed facilities required in teaching STEAM based on global best practices.

DEVELOPMENT OF UNDERWATER ROV (REMOTELY OPERATED VEHICLE) SYSTEMS AND MECHANISM

Remotely Operated Vehicle or abbreviated as ROV is an underwater explorer robot where the robot is controlled remotely by an operator using a remote control system. Water ecosystems certainly have various kinds of hazards that cause harm to divers, such as wild animals, waters contaminated with toxic waste, limited oxygen, and many other risks. Based on these problems, research was carried out, namely the Design and Development of Underwater ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Mechanisms and Systems where the tool built is an underwater robot that uses 8 DC motors to be able to perform 12 types of movements under water. The final result obtained by the ROV is that it is able to perform all of these movements except for the right somersault and left somersault. The speed and direction of rotation of the motor is controlled by a device, namely the BTS7960 motor driver. This robot aims to measure pressure and temperature and capture images underwater to a depth of 4m. Pressure and temperature measurements were made using a BMP180 pressure sensor and a DS18B20 temperature sensor where the measurement results will be displayed on a 16x2 LCD. Based on the test results, the pressure sensor has an error rate of 3.6% and a temperature sensor of 0.34%. Images and videos are captured by a device, namely a CCTV camera where the device is connected to a laptop device as a monitor. The test produced results in the form of images and videos that were quite clear.

Real-World User Demographics of Three Web-Based Digital Mental Health Interventions Provided by the US Department of Veterans Affairs: Observational Study Using Web Analytics Data.

Unguided digital mental health interventions (UDMHIs) have the potential to provide low-cost and effective mental health care at scale. Controlled trials have demonstrated the efficacy of UDMHIs to address mental health symptoms and conditions. However, few previous publications have described the demographics of real-world users of UDMHIs that are freely available to the public. The US Department of Veterans Affairs has created and hosts several UDMHIs on its Veteran Training Portal website. These web-based, free-to-use, and publicly available UDMHIs include Path to Better Sleep, Anger and Irritability Management Skills, and Moving Forward, which focus on insomnia, problematic anger, and depression symptoms, respectively. This study aimed to examine the user demographics of these 3 UDMHIs in the year 2021. In addition, it aimed to compare the age and gender distribution of the users of those 3 UDMHIs with one another and with the age and gender distribution of the total US veteran population. Google Analytics was used to collect user data for each of the 3 UDMHIs. The age and gender distribution of the users of each UDMHI was compared with that of the other UDMHIs as well as with that of the overall US veteran population using chi-square tests. Information on the total number of users, the country they were in, and the devices they used to access the UDMHIs was also collected and reported. In 2021, the 3 UDMHIs together recorded 29,306 unique users. The estimated age range and gender were available for 24.12% (7068/29,306) of those users. Each UDMHI's age and gender distribution significantly differed from that of the other UDMHIs and from that of the overall US veteran population (P<.001 on all chi-square tests). Women and younger age groups were overrepresented among UDMHI users compared with the overall US veteran population. The majority of devices used to access the UDMHIs were desktop or laptop devices, although a substantial proportion of devices used were mobile devices (10,199/29,752, 34.28%). Most users (27,789/29,748, 93.41%) were located in the United States, with users from Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia accounting for another 2.61% (775/29,748) of total users. Our use of Google Analytics data provided useful information about the users of 3 free and publicly available UDMHIs provided by the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Although our findings should be considered in light of the limitations of autonomously collected web analytics data, they still offer useful information for health care policy makers, administrators, and UDMHI developers.

Peran Aplikasi Notion dalam Perkuliahan untuk Mewujudkan Produktivitas Mahasiswa

This study aims to explore the role of the Notion application in increasing student productivity in lectures. The quantitative method was used by sending online questionnaires to 67 students from various institutions in Indonesia, including users and non-users of Notion. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to assess the significant impact of the Notion application on student productivity. The research results show that Notion helps students manage schedules, create task lists, and organize lecture notes more efficiently and effectively. This application also makes it easy to manage complex tasks. Notion's strength lies in its accessibility, which allows students to access information and documents from their mobile or desktop devices anytime and anywhere. Notion has become a popular choice for college students to increase their day-to-day productivity. With Notion, students can tackle various tasks such as writing notes and setting reminders without the need to use paper, but via a smartphone or laptop device.

Compact Sub 6 GHz Slot Multiantenna System for 5G Laptops

A sub 6 GHz dual-band closed-slot multiantenna system for 5G laptops is proposed in this paper. It was installed in a clearance space, with dimensions og 217 × 3 mm2 and 1 mm away from the upper edge of the screen ground plane. The dimensions of the clearance space were the same as those of a multisystem consisting of six antennas. The dimensions of the single closed-slot antenna were 32 × 3 mm2 (0.368 λ × 0.034 λ, where λ equals the free-space wavelength of 3450 MHz. The antenna was coupled to an asymmetric T-shaped feed-in section equipped with a chip capacitor for exciting one-half and full wavelength resonance modes of the closed-slot to encompass sub 6 GHz 3300-3600 MHz and 4800-5000 MHz dual-band operations. The design of the antenna features a long and straight slot to generate the high-order mode of the closed slot in the high-frequency (4800-5000 MHz) band (not the low-frequency (3300-3600 MHz) multiplier band). Its structure is simple, and the width of its slot is only 3 mm. The antennas were arranged to be 5 mm apart in the same direction and in parallel to form a six-antenna system in order to utilize the weak electric fields located at the two closed ends of the closed-slot structure when the closed slot was excited. It showed excellent envelope correlation coefficients (ECCs) and isolation performance without the installation of isolation elements. The measured fractional bandwidth of the antenna was 10.15% and 6.73% at the center frequencies of 3450 MHz and 4900 MHz, respectively. Its measured isolation was always over 10 dB, and the efficiency was between 46% and 76%. The ECCs of the system calculated from the measured complex E-field radiation pattern were all below 0.2, which means that it is ideal for use in laptop devices with a high screen-to-body ratio and a metal back cover.

Online Discussion with Virtual Classroom Method as Supporting Lecturer Digital Aircraft Simulator

E-Learning is a system or educational concept that uses information technology in teaching and learning to use electronic media—usually used for teaching and learning processes within an unlimited distance. In the learning process of the Digital Aircraft Simulator course using e-learning, some obstacles are difficult to understand, and there is no discussion facility in the material section. Based on this, e-learning with the virtual classroom method is expected to overcome these problems so that the learning process can run well and effectively. In the online discussion feature with the virtual classroom method, there are two methods: synchronous and asynchronous. Based on the test using a white box to 13 paths for three days obtained a success rate of 100%. While the black box test obtained a success rate of 100% for the faculty and 100% for the student side, accessed using a laptop device with Windows 7 and 8 operating systems. While accessed using the Android smartphone, Kitkat, Lollipop, and Oreo obtained a success rate of 80% for the lecturer and 60% for the student. Then the test results with the Guttman scale obtained a success rate close to the percentage of 92%. The online discussion feature in the virtual classroom can facilitate communication between the lecturer, and students can also directly ask the lecturer through this feature when there is lecturer material and explanations that are not understood

By utilizing a computer or laptop device, the system will be developed using object-oriented software development and programming (OOAD) methods. With the aim of being able to assist the RW17 Citaliktik Soreang Office in improving the existing system with the hope that the processing and presentation of population data which is still conventional can make it easier to make this population data collection application. The result of making the application is a Population Data Collection Application at the RW17 Citaliktik Soreang Office.

ANALYSIS OF HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS GLYCOPROTEIN 160 AS A VACCINE CANDIDATE FOR B CELL EPITOPE OF ACQUIRED IMMUNODEFICIENCY SYNDROME

An in silico study was conducted to analyze the potential of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) glycoprotein 160 as a candidate source of B cell subunit (epitope) vaccine for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The method used was immunoinformatics. The tools used were a set of laptop device, uniprot application, IEDB AR application and ToxinPred application. The materials used were glycoprotein sequences. The analysis results showed that there were 4 candidate peptides for B cell subunit (epitope) vaccines for AIDS, namely MRVMGIQ (Methionine, Arginine, Valine, Methionine, Glycine, Isoleucine, Glutamine, NMWKNNM (Asparagine, Methionine, Tryptophan, Lysine, Asparagine, Asparagine, Methionine), EIMGDIR (Glutamate, Isoleucine, Methionine, Glycine, Aspartic Acid, Isoleucine, and Arginine) and MWQRVGQ (Methionine, Tryptophan, Glutamine, Arginine, Valine, Glycine and Glutamine). PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI GURU SD MELALUI PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA BELAJAR INTERAKTIF

During this pandemic, teachers are required to be more creative and innovative in carrying out learning. It is still very rare for teachers to use the computer for the purpose of improving learning, let alone using Powerpoint-based learning media with various applications. Facts on the ground, namely in Cluster 6 Blimbing do not have sufficient competence in operating the tools available in Microsoft Office Powerpoint. Based on this, a learning media workshop is needed that is able to support this, does not require high specifications for laptop devices, and provides easy access guidebooks for educators. Powerpoint is an application that easily bridges users in designing various types of creative learning materials. In particular, PowerPoint has new features that can make it easier for educators to create media slides for presentations, learning videos, lesson plans, integration with virtual classroom platforms that support creativity and collaboration, etc. There are several specific activities that will be carried out to overcome the above problems through this Community Service, namely: 1) providing interactive learning media guidebooks to elementary school teachers; 2) holding a workshop “Development of Learning Media for Elementary School Teachers Using PowerPoint and Slidesgo”; and 3) Make a video tutorial "Development of Learning Media for Elementary School Teachers Using Interactive Learning Media".

Process of Large Vehicle Driver Admission

The purpose of this study is to find out how the process of accepting large vehicle drivers is, to find out the obstacles in the process of accepting large vehicle drivers and to find solutions to the problems of the large vehicle driver acceptance process. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative which aims to describe the conditions and analyze the process of accepting large vehicle drivers. In this study, data relating to the author's study are sourced from library studies, field studies, and documentation techniques. The results of the study of the Large Vehicle Driver Acceptance Process are as follows: the company has carried out a large vehicle driver acceptance process through several stages starting from filling out the driver acceptance form and interviewing the HRD section, health checks at the clinic, conducting driver tests, participating in devensive driving training, and finally HRD decides whether to accept the driver candidate or not. Constraints experienced by the company in the process of accepting drivers of large vehicles caused by the unavailability of a special room for psychological tests and tests of knowledge of traffic signs. The next obstacle is the limited source of doctors to operate in the company which results in the length of treatment for patients or prospective drivers who will take a health test, besides that there are obstacles in the occupational health and safety division, namely the working computer facilities for devensive driving training which are very minimal. The solution taken by the company from the above constraints is that the company will create a special room for test activities carried out by the HRD section in conducting a new driver acceptance test and adding medical experts, and the company must add a computer or laptop device.

Shedding light on the reverse logistics’ decision-making: a social-media analytics study of the electronics industry in developing vs developed countries

ABSTRACT Growing population leads to generating more waste and depletion of natural resources. Moreover, the cost of supplying some resources has increased substantially. Hence, the manufacturer is trying to focus on planning to get back old or partially/wholly unusable products and make the best disposition decisions on them. This research aims to build a multi-industry applied model using the deep learning method in social media analysis to make the best decision for returning products in reverse logistics, along with the sustainability and circular economy concerns. Furthermore, we outline the usage of social network analytics in aligning consumers’ expectations with supply chain policies, strategies, and decisions. An industry benchmark concerning circular economy concepts can be attained by applying the proposed model to different industries. We have proposed a generalisable model using social media analytics, consumer sentiment analysis, reverse logistics, and circular economy theory to attain a circular supply chain regarding sustainability concerns. Applying the proposed model to the electronics industry as a case study, the model was further validated with Twitter data analysis of developing versus developed countries for laptop devices. We collected over 70-million tweets using the Twitter Application Programming Interface (API) over fifteen months. The results approved the proposed model by leveraging the Twitter geolocation attribute to extract Twitter data from developing and developed countries. Moreover, the model is general enough to be used on various industries’ supply chains and provides managers and policymakers with deep insight into reverse logistics’ decision-making. It would be interesting to use real-time analytics and improve accuracy in future works. We made original contributions to reverse logistics decision-making in the circular economy context. Previous research, which has focused on supply chain decision-making, has been extended by providing theoretical and practical implications for social media analytics and the circular economy ecosystem. Thus, by scrutinising the consumers’ needs and expectations, we suggested the best decision on returned products to close an open-ended supply chain and achieve a circular economy. Furthermore, we derived industry benchmarks for both developing and developed countries separately. The results showed that the best decision on returning products in developing countries is different from developed countries. We advise top managers and policymakers to improve supply chain sustainability using social media analytics in developing and developed countries to substantially optimise waste and companies’ profits.

Diagnostic consistency for observing endodontic files in digital radiographs displayed on different electronic devices

Objectives: To evaluate the diagnostic consistency of working lengths by observing endodontic files in root canals and periapical subtle structures in digital intraoral radiographs presented in two smartphones, a tablet and a laptop computer. Methods: A dried human skull embedded in an acrylic compound was used for exposing radiographs of the upper and lower second premolars and first molars with two endodontic files (Kerr files size 10 and 15) positioned to the full length of the roots or 1.5 mm short of apexes. A total of 100 radiographs were taken for each of the file sizes. Five observers were asked to assess all the 200 digital radiographs according to a 5-category scale in smartphone A (HUAWEI P9 Plus), smartphjone B (Apple iPhone 7), tablet (Apple iPad 2018) and laptop computer (Lenovo Thinkpad E480), respectively. The gold standard for receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis was determined with the endodontic Kerr file size 20. A total of 150 roots with files were radiographed, 75 of which with files reaching the radiographic apexes of the respective roots and 75 of which with files 1.5 mm short of the radiographic apexes for each endodontic file size. Results from ROC analysis was analyzed with one-way ANOVA and independent sample t test. Results: For the Kerr file size 10, the area under the ROC curve for laptop, tablet and two smartphones were 0.891±0.037, 0.869±0.037, 0.870±0.017 and 0.849±0.037, while for the Kerr file size 15 the ROC values were 0.957±0.02, 0.961±0.02, 0.961±0.01 and 0.961±0.02, respectively. There were no significant differences for diagnostic accuracy for observing endodontic file positions among digital radiographs presented in the two smartphones, one tablet and one laptop devices (endodontic file size 10: F=1.39, P=0.281; endodontic file size 15: F=0.05, P=0.985). A significant difference was found in the diagnostic accuracy of endodontic file positions between size 10 and 15 files in different display devices (t=-10.65, P<0.001). Conclusions: There was a high diagnostic consistency in the determination of working length and periapical subtle structures of roots by observing digital radiographs displayed on smartphones, tablet and laptop computer.

Technology: Examining Educational Strategies in the Wake of Covid-19 Pandemic in Kenya

The World Health Organization recognized COVID-19 as a pandemic. In Kenya, the government announced the first case of COVID-19 on 13 March 2020. Spontaneously, the government established a mitigation committee at the national level to give daily briefs on the state of the COVID-19 crisis in the country. Thus, the study sought to examine the online platforms used amid the Covid 19 pandemic in tertiary institutions in Kenya and the influence of these platforms on online learning. The study was a literature-based review. The study findings indicated that most online platforms used for online learning by the tertiary institutions include zoom, video conferencing, email, WhatsApp, telegram, video streaming, skype and google classroom. The online platforms have reduced face-to-face interactions and thus minimized the spread of the Covid 19 virus. The online platforms determined the extent of online learning among the tertiary institutions in Kenya. Online learning has been considered to be vital in ensuring the success of teaching despite the pandemic. The study concluded that online platforms promoted online learning among the tertiary institutions in Kenya. The online learning offers enormous opportunities for learning and access to a vast amount of knowledge and information. Online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has been enhanced by the effectiveness of the online platforms being used. The study recommended that online platforms such as zoom, video conferencing, email, WhatsApp, telegram, video streaming, skype and google classroom should be promoted within the tertiary institutions in Kenya since they promote online learning. The tertiary institutions to maximize the use of technology (online platforms) to teach and enhance online learning since the majority of the learners possess smartphones and laptop devices. Moreover, the tertiary institutions should lobby for subsidized internet bundles from internet providers and policymakers should reduce tax levies for internet service providers to offer affordable and reliable internet connections to learners and instructors off-campus. The university management and government should prioritize capacity building for lecturers and other users to enhance online education skills and knowledge. The Role of Elementary School Teachers in the Implementation of Online Learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic

This study aims to determine the role of teachers, obstacles and solutions in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is qualitative research with a fixed case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation techniques. Data were analysed using interactive model analysis. The results showed that the role of elementary school teachers in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic was compiling learning materials taken from the internet (Google), preparing a laptop device with an internet network connection using WhatsApp media, using video media in delivering material who need a concrete example, assess online learning by not burdening students, teachers participate in various online learning training both and independent learning, involving parents of students to be able to provide learning assistance for their children. Constraints faced by elementary school teachers in online learning include: difficulty getting an internet signal, lack of internet quota, students cannot access WhatsApp because not all students or parents have cellphones, parents do not assist their children, students do not understand the material given. Solutions to overcome these obstacles include: changing cellular card providers that have good signals, finding sources of learning materials in schools that have better signals, subsidising internet quotas from schools, communicating and motivating.
