Shadow Puppet Videos to Stimulate Time Vocabulary Speaking Skills for Children Aged 4-6 Years

It was found that language skills in early childhood were still feeble. This research aims to develop shadow puppet videos to help children aged 4-6 develop speaking skills using time vocabulary. This type of research is developed using the ADDIE model. Data collection methods use observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire. The validity of the shadow puppet video was measured through an evaluation questionnaire assessed by two experts, a media expert, and a material expert. Apart from that, small-group and large-group tests were also carried out to evaluate the feasibility of this shadow puppet video. The collected data was then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods. The school tests showed that experts declared the shadow puppet videos valid, with an average CVR of 1.00 and CVI of 1.00. It was concluded that developing shadow puppet videos to stimulate the speaking skills of children aged 4-6 years using time vocabulary has very high validity. Therefore, this shadow puppet video can be used as media in the school environment to support the learning process.

Pengaruh Media Pop Up Book berbasis Multisensori terhadap Kemampuan Bahasa Anak Usia Dini di Taman Kanak-Kanak Perwati

The purpose of this study was to find out whether the learning method using Multisensory-based Pop Up Book media affects the language skills of Early Childhood at Perwati Kindergarten. The method used is a quantitative research method. The sample in this study totaled 22 children, consisting of 11 children in class B1 and 11 children in class B2. Data collection techniques using structured observation. Based on the results of research data analysis conducted, it was found that the language skills of early childhood in the experimental class using multisensory-based pop up book media were higher than the control class. The pretest average of the experimental class was 11.91 and that of the control class was 10.91. Meanwhile, the average post-test for the experimental class was 18.76 and for the control class was 16.73. Based on the pre-test and post-test data, the average score for the experimental class was 6.46, while the average score for the control class was 5.9. Based on the sig (2-tailed) value is 0.02 <0.5. Thus there is a significant difference between the control class and the experimental class. So that it can be terminated Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. With the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of multisensory-based pop up book media has an effect on early childhood language skills

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WATCHING STRUCTURED CARTOON FILM WITH TODDLER CHILDREN'S SPEECH ABILITY AT RT. 003 RW. 001 CIBITUNG SUB-DISTRICT, WANASARI SUB-DISTRICT YEAR 2023

Background: Age 1-3 years, children at this age have several characteristics in common with the previous period. Physically the child is still experiencing rapid growth. Speech and language skills in early childhood are very important because they are not only a means of communication but also for the growth and development of children. children who since childhood are trained and guided to speak well. Watching structured cartoon films can affect children's speech development. So from watching movies that are structured with sufficient time limits, children will quickly grasp the language in cartoons because these cartoons are interesting spectacles for children. Research Objectives: Knowing the Relationship between Watching Structured Cartoon Films and Speaking Ability of Toddlers in Rt 003 Rw 001 Cibitung District, Wanasari Village Research Methods: The research method used is quantitative, with a research design that is observational analytic and uses a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were toddlers who had good speech skills in Rt 003 Rw 001, Cibitung District, Wanasari Village with a total of 80 children. The data collection technique uses simple random sampling. Research Results: It was found that with a significant level of 95% or an α value of 5% (0.05) the results of the Ci Square test obtained a p value (0.000) <α value (0.05). This shows that H0 is rejected. Conclusion: There is a relationship between watching structured cartoon films and the speaking ability of toddlers in RT 003 RW 001, Cibitung District, Wanasari Village. Improving English Language Skills in Early Childhood at SPS Mawar Kebonagung Through English Day Activities

In the eyes of society, universities are considered only to teach theory without any form of application when viewed from the perspective of social life. This can be seen from the surrounding conditions where not many university graduates can apply this theory in the field. This activity aims to bridge learning at SPS Mawar, Kebonagung Subdistrict, Pasuruan City, with a service learning approach in the English Day program to provide training for SPS Mawar Kebonagung Early Age Children (AUD) in improving their English language skills by introducing several new vocabulary through singing and fun game. This activity involved a lecturer, four PGRI Wiranegara University students, AUD SPS Mawar students, and teachers. A participatory approach is also used in this service activity to attract students' attention and make it easier for students to remember new vocabulary. Students are directly involved in the learning process. The success of providing English language teaching can increase AUD's ability or vocabulary in English by providing new inspiration in teaching children English skills with fun learning.

Mengembangkan Berbahasa Anak Melalui Audio Visual Pada Kelompok B Di Ra Plus Fatahul Wardah

Language ability is the ability, skill, richness of speech, thoughts and feelings of humans through arbitrary sounds, used to work together, interact and identify themselves in good conversation. Audio visual media is one of the media that can develop language processes in early childhood. This research was conducted to find out how the influence of audio-visual media has on the language skills of early childhood, especially at RA Plus FATAHUL WARDAH Kindergarten, while the object of the research is the process of understanding children's language at RA Plus FATAHUL WARDAH through audiovisual. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique is the case study method. The results of the study were that there was an influence on early childhood language skills at RA Plus FADAHUL WARDAH Palembang City after the audio-visual learning method was applied.

Implementation of the Storytelling Method to Improve Early Children’s Language Skills

Language for early childhood is important as a means of thinking, listening, speaking, and reading and writing. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of an appropriate and effective storytelling method so that it can improve early childhood language skills in group B at Baitul A'la Lubuklinggau Kindergarten. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method or action classroom research using 3 cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects in this study were early childhood in group B of Baitul A'la Lubuklinggau Kindergarten, totaling 20 children. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in language skills from cycle I and cycle III seen from the class averages of (2.30), (3.00), (3.60) and an increase in mastery of learning outcomes in language skills from cycles I and cycle II by 30% increased in cycle II to 75% and cycle III to 100%. The application of an effective storytelling method to improve language skills for early childhood in group B of Baitul A'la Lubuklinggau Kindergarten, this is reflected in an increase in communication skills and social action.

The Role of Teacher Stimulus in Children's Language Development

This research aimed to analyze the role of teacher stimulation in developing language skills in early childhood. The research method used descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection technique applied the survey method. The research respondents were 30 students of RPL PG PAUD (Early Childhood), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, in the Year of 2021. The results of this study indicated several things the teacher has implemented in stimulating the development of language skills in children by using all aspects of Yawkey stimulation. It includes developing language fluency at 80%, integrating language skills in everyday life reaching 80%, syntax development reaching 63.33%, development of vocabulary mastery being 73.33%, and the development of the ability to express oneself reaching 66.67%. Stimulation of developing language skills in early childhood carried out by teachers has been well implemented.

Implementation Outdoor Learning Activities (OLA) to Develop Early Childhood Language Skills

Aspects of language is one aspect that is owned by early childhood that must be stimulated. At this time, children's language skills have not been optimally stimulated and have not been designed through interesting activities. The aim of this research is to describe the need to implement early childhood language development through Outdoor Learning Activity. This study uses a survey method. The subjects were educators at Early Childhood Education institutions under the auspices of Himpaudi Magelang Regency, the Bustanul Athfal Teachers' Association, the Raudhatul Athfal Teachers' Association totaling 40 educators. The data collection tool used a questionnaire at the FGD event to identify the implementation of OLA in developing early childhood language. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis, namely describing facts with the right interpretation to recognize phenomena and to describe accurately some of the phenomena, groups or individuals that are happening. The results showed that 27.03% of educators had implemented OLA every day and had not optimally developed children's language skills. Stimulation of children's language is still carried out monotonously in the classroom by using conversation method by 24%, storytelling 22%, and question and answer 11%. So that it has not fulfilled the BAN PAUD and PNF accreditation instruments, namely education units that apply interesting learning activities outdoors to get at least 30 minutes of sunlight every day. This supports the need for OLA learning designs to take advantage of the potential of the child's environment.

Use Of Interactive Learning Media To Improve Language Capabilities Early Children

This research is based on the changing "Mood" of AUD children, so this is inline with an interactive learning model, in encouraging children's curiosity for knowledge, it is important to know the teacher's strategy in using interactive learning media to improve early childhood language skills, The intended ability includes the ability that children use to communicate, both in the form of writing, speech, body code and sign language. In an effort to reveal the facts from the findings when this research was conducted, the method used in this study was a quantitative method. In its implementation, the sample from this study was tested on a limited scale and also tested on a wide scale. For the limited-scale trial consisting of 2 teachers and 1 class of children in group B1 totaling 15 people, while for the wide-scale test consisting of 2 teachers with 2 classes of children in groups B1 and B2 totaling 30 children. To support the iteration of the required data, this research in the implementation of collecting data uses direct observation and written test. The data analysis technique applied was using the average score, percentage and t-test. It is concluded that the development of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials is feasible to use to improve language skills based on limited and broad tests. And the development model is effective in improving children's language skills

Interactive Read Aloud as An Effort to Improve Foreign Language Skills at Early Age

One of the efforts of developing foreign language skills in early childhood is listening skills. Various kinds of listening activities that can be applied to early childhood are packed with interesting and fun activities. One of the methods for listening to non-stop that invites children to actively participate is the interactive read aloud method. The purpose of this study is to review interactive read aloud method as an effort to improve foreign language skills in early childhood. The results of the discussion showed that foreign language learning with the interactive read aloud method is effective and can invite children to actively participate, understand the text, and be able to retell the story that is being played

DIGITAL STORYTELLING UNTUK KEMAMPUAN BAHASA ANAK

Language ability is one of the basic skills that must be trained from pre-school age. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the digital storytelling method to improve early childhood language skills. This study used a quasi-experimental design, pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were 30 students of RAMNU Citra Kartini which were divided into a control group and an experimental group. Measurement of language skills is done by means of a checklist of early childhood language skills. The results of the study were analyzed using the paired sample t-test technique with a Sig value. 0.000 (<0.05) and 0.092 (>0.05) respectively in the control and experimental groups with a large effect size value of 1.623, so the digital storytelling method is very effective for improving early childhood language skills and can be applied in learning early childhood language.

MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERBAHASA ANAK MELALUI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN BERMAIN PERAN DI TK PEMBINA 5 KOTA TERNATE

This article is the result of research that aims to improve children's language skills through role-playing learning strategies. Research methods using action research. There were 20 children in class B of TK Pembina 5 Ternate City. Language skills have an important role in early childhood development and development. Children can express ideas, ideas, thoughts, and desires through spoken language. Based on the results of the study in each cycle there was an increase in language skills in early childhood using role-playing strategies. Based on the results of this study it is recommended that Early Childhood Education teachers be able to use role-playing strategies to improve language skills in children.

Stimulasi Kemampuan Anak Usia Dini dalam Mengenal Huruf melalui Media Kartu (Suatu Kajian Literatur)

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the stimulation of children's ability to recognize letters through card media. In this study the method used is descriptive qualitative method which is a literature study. Researchers use various written sources such as books, articles, journals, theses and documents that are relevant to the research in this study. In the study of this research literature, there was an increase in Children's Ability to Recognize Letters through the media of theme cards in early childhood learning. Learning in this study focuses on card media in improving children's ability to recognize letters. The results of several card media studies can improve children's ability to recognize letters and read in children, through themes that are taught in every school. Playing or games is the right way to develop early childhood language skills, especially in letter recognition. The learning atmosphere can be realized in a letter guessing game using card media, which makes children feel happy and not boring.

Pengembangan Media Tas Papan Flanel untuk Kemampuan Bahasa Ekspresif Anak Usia Dini

This study aims to determine: (1) the need for learning media for Early Childhood Educators (PAUD) in improving language skills in early childhood. (2) Learning Media Development Procedures that are suitable for use in improving early childhood language skills. (3) The implementation of the use of Learning Media using flannel board bags in improving expressive language skills in early childhood. This research method uses the development model developed by Borg & Gall. Brog and Gall argues that the Research and Development (R&D) approach in education includes ten steps. The main purpose of this research and development method is used to produce products and determine the feasibility of the products developed in the form of flannel board bags. Data collection techniques used interviews, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), observation and validation questionnaires from material experts and media experts. Data analysis technique using validity test, reliability test, effectiveness test, practicality test, descriptive statistical analysis, and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The conclusion is that learning with flannel board bags can improve expressive language skills in early childhood.

Educational Computer Game and Their Implications on Early Children's Language Skill

Language is an important comunication tool for everyone, including for early childhood. With language, early childhood can express feelings, thoughts, share experiences and knowledge, and socialize. Therefore language skills need to be developed, especially tor early childhood. This research aims to determine the language development of early childhood through educational computer games at school, how the effect of educational computer games on the language skills for early childhood. This study is a pre-experimental method with the one group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that 56 % of early childhood language skills are influenced by educational computer games, while the remaining 44 % were influenced by other factors that were not the focus of this study, then there is a significant positive effect on language skills based on the educational computer games coefficient value (X) on language skills (Y) of 0.730 which indicates the direction of positive influence and based on the t-test, the results of tcount = 11.179 2.039 = ttable. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of educational computer games on early childhood language skills.

Learning Model During Post Covid-19 Pandemic to Improve Early Childhood Language Development

Bold learning during Covid-19 causes a decrease in the quality of linguistic abilities in children because teachers cannot convey material contextually. This study aimed to analyze learning models that can be used to develop post-pandemic early childhood language skills or through face-to-face learning. This type of research is qualitative research, in which the study is carried out to understand events regarding what happened to a research subject. This phenomenological research approach seeks to let reality naturally in the research place at Nyai Ahmad Dahlan Kindergarten, Yogyakarta. The study results indicate a learning model to develop early childhood language by departing from changes in early childhood behavior in learning. Behavioral changes that lead to learning with an activity-based learning approach and multi-media-multi-method are the solutions offered in this study to improve children's language development. It contributes to the knowledge of the learning model in the post-Covid-19 pandemic toward early childhood language development.

MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL KOSA KATA PADA ANAK MELALUI MODEL ATIK PADA ANAK USIA DINI

Vocabulary is an important element in the development of language skills in early childhood. The development of vocabulary comprehension skills requires a complete understanding of the child. This study hopes to improve children's ability to recognize vocabulary in children using the ATIK learning model in group A at Abdi Pertiwi Kindergarten. This research method uses quantitative methods. The sample of this study involved 20 children in group A. The data collection process in this study was carried out in two stages. The results of this research action have shown an increase in the child's ability to recognize vocabulary and show an increase that has been made in the first stage which shows a result of 61.1% where half of the sample has shown an increase, then in the second action the actions that have been taken show an increase again by 91.1%. The researcher concludes that the researcher's efforts to improve vocabulary skills in children through the ATIK model are well applied in Abdi Pertiwi Kindergarten

The development of this vocabulary understanding skill requires a complete understanding to be obtained by the child. This research has the hope of being able to improve children's ability to recognize vocabulary in children by using the Experiential Learning Approach in group A of Ulil Albab Kindergarten. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). The sample of this study involved 12 children in group A. The data collection process in this study was carried out by carrying out two cycles of action. The results of this research action have shown an increase in the child's ability to recognize vocabulary and indicate an increase that has been made in cycle one which shows a result of 61.1% where half of the sample has shown an increase, then in the second cycle the actions that have been taken show an increase again by 91.1%. The researcher concludes that the researcher's efforts in improving the ability to recognize vocabulary in children through an experiential learning model approach are well applied to Ulil Albab Kindergarten

Morbidity and psychomotor development of offspring of women with gestational diabetes: a 5-year follow-up

BackgroundGestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) represents a risk factor for both mother and her offspring in a short-term (perinatal morbidity) and long-term horizon (postpartum diabetes or foetal programming). Several studies focused at peri/postnatal outcomes of GDM mother´s offspring, however relatively few (and none in Czech population) were designed as prospective. The aim of the study was to ascertain eventual anthropometric and developmental abnormalities and/or morbidity in offspring of GDM mothers compare to controls in a 5-year follow-up using a parent-reported parameters related to psychomotor development and common paediatric morbidities including a sub-study of offspring of GDM mothers experiencing adverse perinatal outcomes.MethodsA 5 year follow up study of offspring of GDM mothers (n = 26) vs those with a normal pregnancy (n = 63). An electronic questionnaire was used to obtain the parameters (such as growth, psychomotor development, vaccination, morbidity history etc.) available to parents from the parent-held infant health record. Data on pregnancy and delivery were available from the previous study.ResultsOffspring of GDM mothers had delayed psychomotor development in early childhood, but in 5 years of age they seemed to gradually achieve results of a control group. Children with macrosomia had a higher percentile of weight-for-height and were significantly more frequently ill than those with a normal birth weight. Offspring of obese mothers had worse verbal language skills in early childhood and a higher percentile of weight-for-height.ConclusionMaternal gestational diabetes and obesity can be considered an important determinant of postnatal offspring development and health status, which further advocates for broader implementation of preventive strategies.

The Relationship Between Home Literacy Environment and Parent Involvement Towards Early Childhood Language Skills in PWP Dama Kumara

The home literacy environment should be used as one of the things that is prioritized in providing home facilities, therefore it will continue to support the process of child development properly, especially language development.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the home literacy environment and parent involvement to early childhood language skills. In this study, the method used is the correlation method and ex post facto. The data were collected using a questionnaire and to test the hypothesis using the product-moment correlation technique. In this study, it was found that the home literacy environment variable had an effective contribution of 30.89% to early childhood language skills. The parent involvement variable has an effective contribution of 40.65% to early childhood language skills.
