Accidental marriage is marriage because it is already pregnant where this pregnancy was not planned by the couple. In this day and age, there are many cases of accidental marriages, especially with the uncontrolled life of teenagers so that it provides space for teenagers to do this. What is discussed in this study is to determine the embryo of the emergence of accidental marriages, the dynamics of the existence of accidental marriages and the impact of accidental marriages on adolescents.This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data and data sources in this study are primary data and secondary data. While the data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that (1) the embryo of the emergence of accidental marriages in the lives of adolescents in Terara village is due to lack of religious education, parents provide freedom, peer influence, internet influence, no customary sanctions, broken home family influences, and lack of sex education. (2) the dynamics of the existence of accidental marriages in adolescent life are grouped into 3 typologies of adolescent characters, namely early adolescence, middle adolescence and late adolescence. (3) The impact of accidental marriages experienced by adolescents are psychological impacts and social impacts.

Faking Orgasms

Abstract The phenomenon of faking orgasms has been the subject of extensive feminist inquiry, but in contemporary Iran, where sex and sexuality remain sensitive and controversial topics, the topic has not received much scholarly attention. This exploratory pilot study uses qualitative methods to explore the prevalence and the reasons for faking orgasms among a group of women living in urban Iran. The study addresses the possible consequences and implications of faking orgasms for women’s sexual life. Eleven female participants took part in the study. The data revealed that the topic was considered taboo even among highly educated working women. It also showed that faking orgasms were related to perceived female moral responsibilities and marital self-sacrifice and the lack of sexual education and knowledge, machismo, male infidelity, porn culture, and sexual performance ideals.

This study aims to understand how the role of parents in providing sex education to adolescents to prevent sex marriage. The research method uses a case study which is a qualitative method that seeks to describe a particular case in greater depth by collecting various sources of information. The results of the study there are factors that empower parents to provide sex education, namely 1). Economic factors, where parents are busy working to earn a living, make parents lack of communication with their children which results in a lack of sex education from parents to children. 2). The factor is the lack of knowledge from parents about sex education, coupled with parents who are still awkward or taboo to discuss sexual issues. The conclusion of this study is that parents have an important role in providing sex education to prevent premarital relationships.

Consumer-Based Sexually Transmitted Infection Screening Among Young Adult Women: The Negative Influence of the Social System.

Young adults (ages 18-24 years) are disproportionately burdened by sexually transmitted infections (STIs), but STI screening rates are low among this age group. Negative social factors, such as stigma, influence STI screening behavior, but it is unknown if alternative methods such as consumer-based screening can reduce these barriers. This study examined how stigma impacts consumer-based STI testing among young adult women. Qualitative data were collected via in-depth interviews with sexually active women aged 18 to 24 years enrolled at a large public university in the South (n = 24). Interviews were audio recorded, transcribed, and analyzed thematically with a priori and emergent codes by 2 coders ( κ = 0.83). Participants from this study perceived that sexual activity was viewed positively for men but negatively stigmatized for women. Furthermore, lack of sexuality education in schools was another contributor to stigma because abstinence-only education is commonly provided in this region. Participants felt that offering information on consumer-based STI screening methods may be beneficial to address these barriers. Stigma and social influences must be accounted for in future research and interventions to meet the STI screening needs of young adult women. Findings from this research can inform the development of targeted interventions for women who may perceive heightened stigma to STI screening.

Socio-economic Factors Associated with Teenage Pregnancy in the Mandela Park Community of Mthatha, South Africa

Teenage pregnancy is a huge social problem in developing countries. Eastern Cape is one of the provinces in South Africa with a high rate of teenage pregnancy. The study that directed this article investigated the socio-economic factors associated with teenage pregnancy in the Mandela Park community of Mthatha, South Africa. Using snowball sampling and purposive sampling, a cross-sectional study was conducted using 15 females within the age group of 18–35 years residing in Mandela Park (Mthatha). A qualitative study was conducted through face-to-face, in-depth structured interviews. The target population comprised individuals who had become pregnant when they were still teenagers. Results of the study show that there is overwhelming disapproval of teenage pregnancy in the Mandela Park community. Results of this study also show that teenage pregnancy is still a problematic issue that needs to be addressed with immediate and appropriate intervention. The rising number of teenage pregnancies in the Mandela Park community of Mthatha was explored as possibly being a result of low socio-economic status and lack of sex education. The study, therefore, recommended that the government should allow children of any age to access contraceptives without parental consent. Furthermore, there is a need for regular safe-sex education in communities and schools, starting from the primary level.

‘Of course, women will adopt it!’: A qualitative study on the acceptability of medical menstrual regulation in Senegal

ObjectiveMedical menstrual regulation (MMR) may offer a promising way to reach Senegalese women and girls in need of fertility management, especially in rural contexts. To assess the feasibility of introducing a MMR service in Senegal, the study aimed to (1) understand how women and girls manage their menses and fertility, and (2) document acceptability of MMR among women, youth, and health providers. MethodsSix focus group discussions and 34 in-depth interviews were conducted with women, youth, and health providers in Kaolack, Mbour, and Thiès, Senegal. ResultsAll participants characterized the pubescent period by a lack of sexual education, familial support, and access to reproductive health services. Reproductive health service utilization in Senegal was portrayed as highly stigmatized, creating barriers to contraception and reliable information on family planning. Unwanted pregnancy and clandestine abortion were depicted as common occurrences among many participants. Senegalese women and youth perceived MMR services as an acceptable method to manage a missed period with discretion, rid of moral and legal ramifications – and framed MMR as a needed mechanism to prevent abortion and avoid undesired pregnancies. The majority of health providers, with the exception of female health volunteers, were reluctant to endorse the service, comparing MMR to abortion. ConclusionsIn a context fraught with restrictive abortion laws and limited uptake of modern contraception, MMR is an acceptable among potential service users. Nonetheless, introduction and implementation of MMR will be feasible in Senegal only if policymakers approve and support the service and health provider buy-in is achieved.

STUDY ON UNDERAGE MARRIAGE IN EMPAT LAWANG REGENCY VIEWED FROM THE LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA NUMBER 16 OF 2019 IN CONJUNCTION WITH LAW NUMBER 1 OF 1974 ABOUT MARRIAGE

Underage marriage is a marriage bond between a man and a woman, where the age of both or one of them has not reached the limits stipulated in Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 16 of 2019 in conjunction with Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 1974 about Marriage. Underage marriage is one of the legal acts that is not justified by the law of marriage. However, in reality in Empat Lawang Regency it is still practiced, and even the number of underage marriages is still high. The formulation of the problems in this study were: (1) How was the underage marriage in Empat Lawang Regency viewed from the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 16 of 2019 in conjunction with Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 1974 about Marriage? (2) What were the factors causing the high rate of underage marriage in Empat Lawang Regency? (3) How was the impact of underage marriage on the harmony of domestic life? The research method applied in this study was juridical empirical. The results of this study indicated that: (1) Underage marriage in Empat Lawang Regency had been carried out according to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 16 of 2019 in conjunction with Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, if the prospective husband and wife had not met the requirements as regulated in the Law, then the prospective husband and wife must apply for dispensation to the Religious Court for approval of marriage permits. (2) The factors causing the high rate of underage marriages in Empat Lawang Regency consisted of being pregnant outside of marriage (married by accident), worrying that their child will fall into promiscuity, pressure from parents, lack of economic stability, desire of lasting relationship, family traditions, lack of parental supervision of children, lack of sex education, and parental mindset. (3) The impact of underage marriage on the harmony of household life was the difficulty to form such a harmonious household.

The Attitudes, Perspectives, and Barriers Among Primary Care Physicians Towards Addressing Sexual Health of Perimenopausal-Aged Women

Background/Objective: Menopause is the natural cessation of menstruation that typically occurs in women between ages 45 and 50. Menopause can lead to numerous issues regarding sexual health such as vulvovaginal atrophy, low desire, issues with vaginal lubrication, and an inability to achieve climax. Despite these issues, very few physicians initiate conversations about sexual health. Female patients generally feel uncomfortable bringing up the topic without first being asked by their physicians, so it is imperative to assess the reasons why physicians rarely discuss the topic.
 Methods: Sixteen semi-structured interviews were conducted with family medicine physician faculty and residents regarding barriers to discussing sexual health with their patients. Interviews were transcribed, reviewed, and coded for common themes. Generalizable categories were identified from these themes.
 Results: Patient embarrassment and cultural/religious norms were the most stated barriers to discussing sexual health. Adherence to norms and the lack of sexual education among patients were the most stated potential reasons for these barriers. The use of standardized questions and increasing efforts to directly discuss sexual dysfunction were the most stated potential solutions to these barriers. Better medical education regarding female sexual health and developing routines to ask about sexual health were the most stated strategies to help family medicine physicians to better serve this population.
 Conclusion and Potential Impact: This study established, from a family medicine perspective, the barriers and respective potential solutions towards improving the sexual health of women of menopausal age. Patients with suboptimal sexual health can affect other aspects of their health. If barriers to discussing this topic with patients can be reduced, more sexual dysfunction diagnoses can be made, and family medicine physicians can better guide and treat patients to resolve these issues and improve overall quality of life.

Risky sexual behaviors among undergraduates of Pamo University of Medical Sciences: Exploring contributory factors and outcomes

Undergraduates experience overwhelming changes and challenges that expose them to risky sexual behaviors, an act that leads to physical, psychosocial harm and its predictors contribute to lost lecture hours among campus students; hence this study aims at exploring contributory factors and outcomes of risky sexual behaviors among Nursing and Medicine students in PAMO University of Medical Sciences, Port Harcourt Rivers State Nigeria. Descriptive survey was conducted in 2019 and 280 students in their first and second year of study from the participating Departments were selected from study population of 491 using Yaro Yamanes sample size formula. Proportionate sampling technique followed by simple randomization was done. Ethical approval and consent were obtained while confidentiality and anonymity were maintained. WHO-adapted questionnaire was administered to respondents with the help of a research assistant. Data was collected using a 3-point Likert statistically-validated questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.8, analyzed and computed on Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 21. Mean values below 2.0 were judged insignificant. Findings shows that Ignorance (x¯=2.81), lack of sex education (x¯=2.79), were among the factors that significantly influenced participant’s risky sexual behavior, however, reduced fun associated with use of condom (x¯=1.99) and equivalent of unprotected sex with trust (x¯=1.97) had insignificant impact. Interestingly, participants expressed similar outcomes of risky sexual behavior recording- sexually transmitted infection (x¯=2.80), pregnancy (x¯=2.76) abortion (x¯=2.71), out of School due to non-support by family (x¯=2.65); among others. Finally, risky sexual behavior among undergraduates affects the academic pursuit and there is need to continue reproductive health education if Sustainable Development Goals five and six will be achieved.

The Effect of Sex Education on Premarital Sex Among Adolescents; Literature Review

Adolescent are an age group that is vulnerable to risky behaviour, including premarital sex, because during adolescent there are various changes both physically, namely the maturation of reproductive organs, emotional changes in attitudes and behaviour as well adolescent mind-sets and social changes. Vulnerable to engage risky behaviour (premarital sex behaviour). Lack of sex education and the misconception of the concept of sex education regarding premarital sex which is misunderstood causes various negative problems is adolescent.
 Sex education is a preventive effort to avoid free sex to damage reproductive health and mental unpreparedness in living their days a parents. So it needs extra education so that there is no misunderstanding of the concept of sex education material. The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of sex education on premarital sex.
 This literature review is sourced from the Pubmed and Google Scholar database from 2017-2021 and manually select criteria according o the inclusion and exclusion criteria using the PICOS method, which is relevant and in accordance with the title taken by the author, in this literature review the number of journals reviewed by 8 journals. The result of this literature review found that the effects of sex education on premarital sex include, the lack of knowledge about sex education causes adolescents to take premarital sexual behaviour, imperfect socialization, misunderstanding about of the concept of sex education on premarital sex, strong curiosity and some people think taboo about the concept of sex education. the conclusion in this literature review is the effect of sex education on behaviour sex, namely low knowledge, misunderstanding of the concept of sex education and imperfect socialization, not only from school but the role of the family is needed to instil sex education to reduce sexual behaviour premarital sex in adolescent.

Abortion in Countries with Restrictive Abortion Laws-Possible Directions and Solutions from the Perspective of Poland.

The tendency towards the radicalization of abortion law is observed in numerous countries, including Poland. The aim of the present paper was to determine the main factors influencing the number of abortions performed worldwide and to indicate the main directions which should be followed to improve the patients’ well-being. The authors conducted their search in the PubMed of the National Library of Medicine and Google Scholar. Databases were extensively searched for all original and review articles/book chapters in English until June 2021. The main problems associated with the contemporary policy of birth regulation include no possibility of undergoing a termination because of the conscience clause invoked by the medical personnel, restrictive abortion law and lack of sexual education. Minimal changes that should be considered are: improved sex education and the availability of contraception, free access to abortion-inducing drugs with adequate information provided by qualified medical personnel in countries with a conscience clause invoked by the personnel, and the development of an international network which would facilitate undergoing a pregnancy termination abroad to provide women with access to legal abortion assisted by professional medical personnel.

PELAKU PEDOFILIA (Tinjauan Dari Faktor Penyebab dan Aspek Dinamika Psikologis)

This study aims to find out the psychological dynamics in pedophiles. The focus of research is the factors causing pedophile behavior in perpetrators. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results showed that the perpetrator was a person known by the victim, namely the neighbor and the teacher. In general, the three participants have similarities in the factors causing pedophile behavior. The main common factors of the three participants in this study are the lack of affection from the family, especially the father figure, low self-esteem, failure to have a relationship with a partner, feeling disappointed or frustrated, consumption of pornographic content, and the inability to control sexual desire. Meanwhile, the different factors of the three participants were poor environment, having a less harmonious family background, relatively low level of economy, and education. Having-teen sexual experiences or have been victims of sexual harassment, having been physically abused or the victims of bullying and having sexual disorders can also be the factors. In addition, all three participants had a lack of sex education or understanding related to participants' cognitive aspects. There are also some factors related to affective aspects, namely feelings of guilt or even feeling of satisfaction after these three participants engage in inpedophile behavior. The conative aspect includes other factors such as the consumption of pornographic content, and the way participants give the lure to the victims and their threats, as well as how to perform pedophile behavior by inserting genitals into the victim's anus and then touching, pressing down the victim's genitals.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING THROUGH MINIMOVIE MEDIA AS A PREVENTION OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN

Introduction: Cases of violence against children in Indonesia have a high number. Particularly the sexual abuse against children which has increased in the society. Lack of sexual education in children can affect the child’s emotional maturity and knowledge in assessing the deviates situation in surrounding environment. As a consequence, the child could not find ways in handling the violence behaviour. The Aim of this community services were to increase emotional maturity and knowledge about prevention of sexual violence.Methods: The activities used in this community service program are in the form of education and training using minimovie media at PPTQKids Darul Quran Surabaya for 30 elementary students of grade 1 and 2. The Topic of education about types of sexual violence against children, methods of prevention, what to do if a foreigner commits sexual violence.Results: Darul Quran PPTQKids students who take part in community service activities are very enthusiastic, both for day 1 related to providing information through minimovie and day 2 when providing training with the demonstration method. The results of the post-test showed that some respondents had a high level of knowledge as many as 27 students (90%). 22 respondents had a high level of emotional maturity (73.33%).Conclusion: Community service activities through minimovie media with education and training can increase knowledge and emotional maturity as an effort to prevent sexual violence. Minimovie media can be applied as one of the effective media in providing health education for school-age children.

Curiosity Fulfilling Searches for Sexual Content: Lebanese Adolescents Gratifications from the Internet as a Sex Education Tool

This study reports that lack of sexual education in schools influences adolescents to use the Internet to further their interest in sexuality. The study also reveals that seeking information online about sexuality influences adolescent’s attitude, behaviors, and beliefs. The data is exploratory and indicates that the majority of participants never had formal sex education lessons in schools, and they confirmed that the lack of sexual education in schools influences them to use the Internet to further their interests in sexuality by looking up sexual content/information online. In addition, and of great concern is the participant’s lack of knowledge about sexual health and understanding of sexually transmitted infections/diseases. It is clear from this study that there is a positive correlation between the use of the Internet to gratify adolescents’ needs for information about sexuality and influence on their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. This study adds to the theoretical understanding of uses and gratifications and the social learning theory, as well as to the practical aspect as an advocate for adolescents’ actual wants, needs and associated beliefs, attitudes and behaviors, all of which can be used to derive a sexual education program in schools and media that can better and accurately inform young individuals about decisions impacting their lives/health both on the short and long-term.

Sexual education in selected European countries - characteristics

This article aims to present the characteristics of sex education in selected European countries. Particular attention should be paid to the need for compulsory and diligently conducted sexual education of young people as a preventive measure and a factor providing objective scientific truth. Normative systems and set of beliefs often create social taboos about sexuality. Based on the analysis of scientific sources published in Polish, French and English, this article also shows the essence of sex education in schools, as a way for young people to make the right choices, reduce the occurrence of risky behaviors and protect against and prevent sexually transmitted diseases, unplanned pregnancy and sexual violence. Acquiring true and consistent with the current state of knowledge information on the human sexual sphere should be carried out throughout life. Conducting professional sex education classes at school would be an opportunity for all students to have equal access to information on this subject. Both for those who talk to their parents and those for whom it is a taboo. The presented effects of the lack of sexual education in schools show that its reliable and professional implementation is a means of providing help to young people and their families. However, in order to change the approach of parents and students to attending classes in this subject, it is necessary to improve the quality of teaching in this subject and to make some changes to the curriculum.

Healthcare providers' role in providing sexual and reproductive health information to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities: A qualitative study.

Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities demonstrate disparities in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) compared to individuals without disabilities (e.g., lack of sexual education and knowledge, increased rates of abuse, unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections). Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify topics healthcare providers address and perceived barriers and supports to SRH education. We conducted semi-structured interviews with healthcare providers (N=12). Providers address relationships, safety, protection and appropriate sexual behaviours with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Parent education and client-centred care were identified as supports, while the patient's level of understanding, the provider's lack of knowledge or access to resources and to appropriate referrals were identified as barriers to SRH education. Future studies are needed to link providers to resources they can use to provide comprehensive, accessible SRH education for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Facilitators and barriers to condom use among Filipinos: A systematic review of literature.

Background: Between 2010 and 2018, the Philippines had a 203% increase in new human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections. The use of condoms is an effective and practical means to prevent HIV transmission. The purpose of this study was to identify facilitators and barriers to condom use among Filipinos guided by the Ecological Model of Health Promotion. Methods: A systematic review of literature using electronic databases was performed using the following keywords: "condom," "Filipinos," and "Philippines." To be included in this review, papers should be (1) research studies, (2) studies that examined condom use, and (3) studies that sampled Filipinos residing in the Philippines. The final sample comprised of 27 articles. Results: Multiple and interrelated factors at the individual and social environment levels influence condom use among different groups of Filipinos. Majority of these factors originated at the intrapersonal level. Some of the facilitators to condom use were knowledge on HIV, higher perceived HIV risk, peer support, positive manager attitude, health provider engagement, and city ordinances. In contrast, some of the barriers to condom use were discomfort and displeasure on condom use, low parental communication, lack of sex education, social stigma, and the high price of condoms. Conclusion: A collaborative, culturally-sensitive, and population-specific approach is essential to develop and implement acceptable, sustainable, and successful condom use interventions.

Thematic Study on Extrinsic Factors of Sexual Misconduct by Individuals with Autism

Autism commonly refers to neurological developmental disorder that affects communication and behavior of individual. The characteristics of autism are mainly communication impairments and restricted repetitive behaviours. Although autism unique characteristics are often associated with sexual behavior, it is believed that sexual misconduct by individuals with autism indicates symptoms of sexual victimization that they experience. Realizing the absence of systematic literature review focusing on extrinsic factors that cause autism pectrum disorder (ASD) individuals to behave sexually, hence this study is based on the belief that there are extrinsic factors that cause individuals with autism to engage in sexual misconduct. This article aims to synthesize literature dated from 2000 to 2020 using ATLAS.ti 8 to answer research question of this study. The researchers have used keyword search, followed by filters using criteria from SCOPUS, Science Direct and Mendeley which resulted to 30 peer-reviewed journal articles. Next is the inclusive and exclusive process with selection of 24 articles as final articles for study review. The thematic study of 24 articles have identified 52 early codes on extrinsic factors causing ASD offenders involved in sexual misconduct.The codes are categorized into four groups namely sexual abuse, lack of sexuality education, social misconception, internet and pornography. The study proposes that there should be early intervention and education in sexuality to alleviate negative elements that may intensify sexual symptoms among idividuals with autism.

A CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY ABOUT PERCEPTION OF MEDICAL STUDENTS REGARDING PUNISHMENT OF RAPE FOR ACCUSED

Background: Rape is a significant social and public health problem that has severe shattering effect on victims, including negative consequences on physical health, mental health, academic performance, and interpersonal and social relationships. It is important to know the perception and opinion of young people about the punishment of rape and increase transparency and one’s participation in the implementation of act.
 Aim: To spread awareness and portray severity of crime by learning the perception of medical students towards the punishment given for rape accused and to examine dimensionality of rape attitudes and its law in youth.
 Methods: Data was collected from 100 randomly selected medical students with the help of questionnaire and verbal discussion with them.
 Results: All the students were in the age group of 18 to 24 years. Only 47% were aware about the exact punishment given for accused. Maximum (75%) participants feel that death should be the ideal punishment and it should be given immediately as soon as the accused is found guilty. Inadequate mentality and lack of sex education are considered as major causes that provoke a person to commit rape. Majority of the cases are not reported because of social stigma and family reputation.
 Conclusion: Education is the most favored approach to sex related violence in the community. It is important to support every individual, as it plays a vital role in gaining media and government attention, which is a step forward for the betterment of the society, and soon towards the complete eradication of such social and public health issues like rape and sexual assault.

PEMBUATAN MESIN KONDOM OTOMATIS: KAJIAN REFLEKTIF ILMU HUKUM TERHADAP ASPEK SEKSUALITAS MASYARAKAT

<p>In Indonesia discussing sex is a taboo subject to talk about. Many families, educational institutions, even the government is very minimal or even does not<br />provide education about sex in early age to childrens and adolescents, so it cannot be denied that the lack of sex education causes many cases of women who become pregnant out of wedlock and also more people who contract sexually transmitted diseases.<br />So in this writing the author examines the procurement of condom vending machines in the college environment that not only releases condoms but also some issues articles of various laws and regulations related to the aim of providing education about healthy and safe sex and giving reminders to young people about the consequences that will be faced if someone has sex outside of marriage. The method used in this writing is empirical juridical where the writer sees the reality and the facts that exist and integrates with the applicable legal norms. The results of this study that there are still many young people who ignore the importance of using condoms to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and consider sex education as a taboo even in educational institutions</p>
