The Impact of Learner Ill-Discipline on Teaching and Learning in High Schools of Waterberg District, Limpopo Province

Studies have indicated that lack of discipline among learners in schools is one of the foremost problems facing schools both nationally and internationally. This paper thus investigated the causal factors of learner ill-discipline at the school level with the intention to come up with practical measures that can be applied by the schools to curb learner indiscipline. The qualitative method with a case study approach was used to conduct an in-depth investigation into the phenomenon of learner indiscipline. Three high schools in the Bela-Bela township were sampled as participants for the study. Data was collected through one-on-one semi-structured interviews and document analyses on learner code of conduct and school disciplinary policy. Three (3) school principals, six (6) teachers and six (6) learners were interviewed. The findings revealed that schools are characterised by rampant levels of learner ill-discipline with a negative impact on teaching and learning. The study argued that two primary factors fuelling learner ill-discipline in schools are the inappropriate implementation of the learner code of conduct and the school disciplinary policy. It concluded that there is an urgent need for proper implementation of the learner code of conduct and the disciplinary policy in the schools. This study strongly recommends that education authorities put measures in place to ensure that schools comply with the proper implementation of the code of conduct and school disciplinary policy. Party Leadership of the Partisan Movement during the Occupation of Smolensk Region by Nazi Troops (1941–1942)

The article is devoted to the analysis of one of the most difficult, ambiguous and contradictory issues of the Great Patriotic War – the party leadership of the partisan movement in the Smolensk region in 1941–1942. Unfortunately, Soviet historiography used to evaluate the party leadership of the deployment of the guerrilla struggle exclusively in rosy tones, avoiding any critical assessments, which distorted the real picture of events. Party leadership and influence was a complex phenomenon. If at the level of ordinary party members heroism in the fight against the enemy, the personal qualities of real communists manifested themselves massively and everywhere, then confusion often reigned in regional party organizations, there was a lack of discipline. This was the result of serious failures in the leadership of the party members on the ground by the Smolensk Regional Committee of the CPSU (b). At the same time, after the occupation of the region, the regional committee had no systematic connection with district organizations and did not lead the partisan movement for five months. The situation began to change only after the defeat of the Nazis near Moscow. The turning point was the IX Plenum of the Smolensk Regional Committee of the CPSU (b) in April 1942, after which the systematic and active leadership of the underground district committees and the partisan movement in the Smolensk region began. But even then, in the Central Committee of the CPSU (b), in the NKVD, the partisans (many of whom were surrounded) were looked at suspiciously, with distrust. This can explain the enormous losses of the partisans in the summer and autumn of 1942. Thus, the thesis about the outstanding leadership role of the CPSU (b) in the deployment of the partisan movement is significantly embellished and does not correspond to reality.

Academic Dishonesty and Its Impact on Students’ Moral and Personality Development

Academic dishonesty is an illegal activity in which students are involved in different ways for the temporary benefit of ignoring other aspects of this illegal activity. One aspect of this activity enchants students to get temporary success in exams through unlawful activity. On the other hand, the second aspect is very terrible, which spoils all students' abilities. This study aims to highlight the effect of academic dishonesty on students' moral development and personality. This study was conducted at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. Out of a total seven faculties faculty of social sciences was chosen purposively. A total of 105 students were selected randomly from the chosen faculty. The researcher collected data through a validated and pre-tested questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that lack of confidence, Failure to explore ideas, and lack of hard work have adverse effects on students' personalities. Lack of discipline among students and low acceptance of students' opinions lowered students' moral development. This study suggested that academic dishonesty is minimized by using institutions' ethical, professional standards and building student confidence.

Analysis of Evaluation of Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor Levels in RPP Aqidah Moral Class XI MA Muallimat Malang with Revised Bloom's Taxonomy

This research uses Bloom's Taxonomy Theory and analyzes the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) for Aqidah Akhlak lessons in Class XI Madrasah Aliyah Muallimat Malang City. Systematic data analysis is a descriptive qualitative research method. National Education focuses on cultivating students' talents/potential to become people who are devout/faithful, have good morals, insightful and responsible. In the Revised Method, Bloom's Taxonomy consists of three domains: the cognitive domain focuses on the intellectual aspect, the affective domain contains behavior and activities related to the application of the values of Islamic teachings, for example the application of behavior or customs, and the psychomotor domain focuses on the function of motor skills. or physical skills. and learning media such as direct learning, questions and answers, discussions etc. For research results related to implementation, deviant attitudes and actions, such as lying and lack of discipline. Based on data analysis of the results of the formulation of the RPP MA Muallimat Malang City, the presentation reached 64.5% at level C4.

Novice teachers’ challenges and strategies in coping with COVID-19 at a rural school

The study was undertaken to investigate and understand the challenges and strategies of novice teachers in coping with COVID-19 at a rural school. The researcher observed and experienced many challenges during the first year of teaching, including stress, anxiety, depression, lack of support, and lack of collaboration with teammates. This study explores the challenges faced by novice teachers in coping with the COVID-19 pandemic at a rural school. The study employed a qualitative approach, interpretive paradigm, and case study design. Four high school novice teachers participated in this study. Guided by ethical considerations in research, semi-structured interviews were used to collect data. This study used narrative analysis to analyse data from the participants. This study found overcrowded classrooms, heavy workloads, lack of resources, lack of support, tribalism, lack of orientation, lack of discipline, lack of knowledge of subject content, and pressure from school administration as challenges encountered by novice teachers during COVID-19. This study also revealed frustration, discouragement, Insomnia, and mood swings as the effects affecting novice teachers’ well-being. In conclusion, novice teachers applied different strategies to deal with challenges during COVID-19. The Department of Education in Free State should provide mobile classrooms so learners are comfortable and enjoy the lesson, and teachers can also move around when presenting a lesson. The government must develop supportive social networks and proper orientation for novice teachers to limit the lack of support.

Pelaksanaan Layanan Informasi dalam Meningkatkan Self Management Siswa dalam Belajar di SMP Budi Agung Medan

A guidance and counseling teacher or supervisor is responsible for his students at the school, especially regarding students' lack of discipline towards school regulations, the guidance and counseling teacher must provide services to students who often make mistakes against themselves, therefore the aim of the guidance and counseling teacher there is to provide information services in improving Self Management of students there, not just for students who discipline, guidance and counseling teachers provide information services to all students at school to form behavior that is in accordance with what has been arranged to achieve something good and expected at Budi Agung Middle School Medan. The type of research that researchers use is qualitative research or field research. In this research, researchers conducted interviews with guidance and counseling teachers as key informants. And 8 students who experienced disciplinary problems as data triangulation, as well as the head of student affairs, and the student's homeroom teacher. The results of the research found that the basic consideration for guidance and counseling teachers in providing information services is to develop students' disciplinary behavior because there are still students who have less disciplined behavior such as often coming late, skipping classes, not doing assignments, often going out during class hours and not dressing neatly. The time used by guidance and counseling teachers is during special guidance and counseling lessons every week and can be used during free hours or when other subject teachers are not available. And the duration of time used by the guidance and counseling teachers themselves is approximately 30 minutes to carry out information services. The places where it is implemented are in the classroom, outside the classroom, in the hall and in applications such as Google Met and Zoom. Information service materials to develop student discipline behavior include self-discipline, clean and healthy lifestyle, and leadership spirit. At the time of implementation, students who had received information services were very active in paying attention to what was conveyed and enthusiastic in giving their opinions and understanding what was conveyed by the guidance and counseling teacher regarding the services delivered after being given the information service. If there were still students who had not changed, then the guidance and counseling teacher would individual counseling services to the student. After providing individual services, if the student has not changed, the guidance and counseling teacher will hand the student over to the head of student affairs for further follow-up.

The Obligatory Roles and Responsibilities of Teachers on Learner Discipline, Case of Selected Schools in Nylstroom Circuit

Disciplinary measures and learner safety are critical components of effective teaching and learning. Lack of discipline has become a major problem in schools. The abolishment of corporal punishment led to an increase in violent incidents in schools. This study aims to provide educators with useful guidelines to help them understand their roles when instilling discipline in schools and to ensure learners have a clear understanding of the difference between discipline and corporal punishment. The study followed a qualitative research approach in exploring human elements and behavior. Interviews, observations, field notes, and questionnaires were used to collect data, with a case study design. The population consists of principals, disciplinary committee members, educators, and learners from three high schools. We used a purposive sampling method, selecting three members from each of the three schools. We used Skinner's behavioral theory model, which attempts to explain how repeated behavior with rewards alters bad behavior. We applied grounded theory, a method that employs inductive reasoning for data analysis. The study found that teachers, accustomed to the banned use of corporal punishment for discipline, find it challenging to adjust to new forms of discipline. The study revealed that parents find it difficult to accept the long-standing ban on corporal punishment and attempt to coerce teachers into applying it to their children. The study suggested educating learners about their mistakes and motivating them to avoid ill-discipline. Parents should instill morals and discipline in their children from a young age, as they model discipline and behavior at home.

Studi Tentang Fenomena Anak Putus Sekolah Di SMA Negeri 2 Muara Badak Kabupaten Kutai Kartenegara

This research aims to determine the study of the phenomenon of children dropping out of school at SMA Negeri 2 Muara Badak, Kutai Kartenegara Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The focus of this research is to determine the phenomenon of female students dropping out of school at SMA Negeri 2 Muara Badak and the school's efforts to deal with female students dropping out of school at SMA Negeri 2 Muara Badak. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, data presentation and drawing conclusions.The results of this research show that the factors causing children to drop out of school at SMA Negeri 2 Muara Badak are categorized based on internal and external factors. Low internal factors include motivation and lack of understanding of the importance of education, intelligence and learning disorders, as well as lack of discipline regarding time. Meanwhile, external factors are caused by teachers who are angry, fierce and like to curse, and there is a lack of family support to help these children overcome their problems at school.

This research aims to determine the School Administration Management Strategy in Improving the Quality of Education in Muhammadiyah 36 Integrated Elementary School. The main problem is what the school administration management strategy is and the inhibiting and supporting factors in administrative management in improving the quality of education in Muhammadiyah 36 Medan Integrated Elementary School. The type of research used is qualitative, using observation, interviews and documentation instruments. The results of the research show that the School Administration Management Strategy for Improving the Quality of Education in the Muhammadiyah 36 integrated elementary school is planning regarding the goals to be achieved, organizing the division of tasks, mobilizing by motivating and communicating with administrators, supervising and evaluating the results of the administrator's work. Factors inhibiting the management of school administration at Muhammadiyah 36 Integrated Elementary School, namely the lack of ability of administrators, limited administrative staff which makes work results less than optimal and sometimes there is still a lack of discipline in working as well as supporting factors for managing school administration, namely the availability of facilities and infrastructure that support the administration process. , the availability of adequate facilities according to current needs, as well as maximizing the use of available facilities so that work can be made easier.

INVESTIGATING INDONESIAN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL VOICES IN THE ONLINE WRITING CLASS: A CASE STUDY

Nowadays, online learning that is conducted by students requires them to work harder to carry out the learning process. It is undeniable that students at various levels of education have used online platforms to help the learning process, including vocational high school students. Therefore, it is interesting to investigate students' voices about the implementation of online classes in their schools. In this study, researchers focused on the use of Google Classroom among vocational school students attending online writing classes. This study uses a case study design by selecting eighty students in Bandar Lampung. To collect data, researchers distributed questionnaires through Google Forms and interviewed students. The results showed that students had positive and negative perceptions about the implementation of Google Classroom, namely: (1) There are issues with connecting Google Classroom to the internet; (2) Students do not comprehend the writing materials provided by Google Classroom; and (3) Students' laziness and lack of discipline in carrying out or collecting assignments (5) Students have difficulty expressing themselves and responding in the writing class via Google Classroom. Furthermore, several challenges were discovered for students in online writing classes via Google Classroom, including: (1) Student indiscipline due to being too bored to do online assignments; (2) students' lack of understanding of writing material in class; and (3) Students' lack of interaction with teachers in Google Classroom.

Strategies to strengthen students' digital literacy through contextual learning in Pancasila Education

This study aims to explore strategies for strengthening students' digital literacy through contextual learning in Pancasila Education at SMKN 4 Kendal, by describing strategies and identifying related obstacles and solutions. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, relying on interviews with eight grade XI Culinary 1 students and one Pancasila Education teacher, as well as documentation and observation. Data validity is tested through triangulation, and data analysis involves collecting, condensing, presenting, and inferring data. The results showed that digital literacy can be strengthened through contextual learning with three main steps: strategy design, application of learning, as well as overcoming obstacles and finding solutions. Barriers for students are divided into in-class (such as lack of quota, inactive members, and drowsiness) and outside the classroom (lack of discipline, long distances, and bad weather). Barriers for teachers include long module preparation, lack of student focus, and difficulties in exploratory mentoring. In-class solutions include buying quota before school, approaching less-active friends, and going to bed early. Solutions outside the classroom include making time agreements, determining gathering points, and monitoring the weather. For teachers, the solution is to discuss with colleagues, provide ice breaking, and accompany via WhatsApp groups.

The Effect of Self-Regulated Learning on Student Academic Procrastination

Background: This also happens to PGSD students. Based on observations, show that the majority of students have carried out academic procrastination such as delaying doing coursework, delaying studying when facing exams, and sometimes choosing to do things that are more fun and unrelated to academic assignments. The emergence of academic procrastination behavior is caused by several factors, including low intrinsic motivation, laziness in studying, lack of discipline in the way parents educate them, influence from friends in their environment, as well as a lack of self-regulated learning (SRL) in managing time for doing assignments with other things. Aim: This study aims to determine the effect of self-regulated learning on academic procrastination of Muhammadiyah University students of Palangkaraya. Method: This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population of this study was 2714, while the sample was 349 students. Data were collected by using several instruments in the form of an academic procrastination scale and a self-regulated learning scale. Statistical testing using linear regression analysis. Results and Dıscussion: The results of the study indicated that the significance value is 0.025 <0.05. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the self-regulated learning on academic procrastination of Muhammadiyah University students of Palangkaraya.

The employee work culture that develops in an organization should continue to improve over time. However, it is currently apparent that the expected productivity is difficult for every employee to maintain. Disregard for moral values and work culture has given rise to several problems in the performance of government institutions, including: (1) Negative opinions from the public regarding public services provided by government officials, (2) Lack of discipline among government officials which affects the quality of services unsatisfactory community, (3) Non-implementation of work culture values which results in negative perceptions of officers, and (4) Lack of knowledge, skills and attitudes among government officers which require improvement. The method used in writing this article is literature study. Efforts to overcome these problems include increasing commitment, supervision, training, implementing incentives, better internal communication, and developing knowledge and skills. By implementing these efforts, it is hoped that public service performance can improve, improve public perception, and build trust in government institutions. The work culture of state officials has a significant impact on the quality of public services. Problems such as negative assessments from society, lack of discipline, non-implementation of work culture values, and lack of knowledge, skills and attitudes affect the effectiveness of services. To overcome this, steps are needed such as increasing commitment, implementing monitoring and incentive systems, socializing work culture values, and developing knowledge and skills.

Problems in Implementing Asr Congregational Prayer to Enhance the Worship Quality of Students

Worship has the primary purpose of devotion to Allah and simplicity in intention towards Him, whether in times of joy or hardship, with the hope of attaining happiness in the Hereafter. One example is prayer. Additionally, worship aims to distance oneself from wrongdoing and evil deeds and can achieve other objectives through the performance of prayer. The aim of this research is to identify issues in the implementation of congregational Asr prayer in an effort to enhance the quality of Asr prayer worship and to find solutions to these issues at SMP Muhammadiyah Kota Pagar Alam. This study uses a qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique, and data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the issues in the implementation of congregational Asr prayer in improving the quality of worship include various excuses, negligence in bringing prayer garments, inadequate facilities, lack of discipline in maintaining prayer, insufficient cooperation with parents, and lack of concentration in performing congregational prayer.

This study shows that the effectiveness of the population registration service in the "One Day Service" program is not yet valid. An-Nahdliyah refers to the values ​​contained in Islamic teachings practiced by members of Nahdlatul UlamaThe purpose of this research: first, to analyze the values ​​of Aswaja An-Nahdliyah which are carried out at the International Standard Madrasah Aliyah (MBI) Amanatul Ummah Pacet - Mojokerto. Second, to analyze the learning of Aswaja An-Nahdliyah values ​​among students at the Standard Aliyah Madrasah International (MBI) Amanatul Ummah Pacet – Mojokerto. Third to identify obstacles and provide solutions in learning Aswaja An-Nahdliyah values ​​for students at the International Standard Madrasah Aliyah (MBI) Amanatul Ummah Pacet – Mojokerto. The results of the research that have been studied by the authors are first, tasamuh, tawasuth, tawazun, and amar ma'ruf nahi munkar which are reflected in the daily activities of students at this institution such as inviting national and international scholars, practicing amaliyah, and in relationships. students' social life. Second, on learning the values ​​of Aswaja An-Nahdliyah it was explained that it had been instilled in students from the moment they entered this institution, but only limited to learning in terms of the practice of amaliyah, and when they reached the final semester, they were given aswaja materials. Third supporting and inhibiting factors such as lack of discipline from students, limited attention to students as a whole, and limited time to provide deeper understanding to students. The solution is to improve the quality of teachers, invite ulama or experts in the field, use diverse learning approaches to meet the diverse learning needs of students, and link the teachings of Aswaja An-Nahdliyah to the context of students' daily lives.

Traffic Violation Detection System

Travel convenience is impacted by a number of factors, including the condition of the road, traffic, length of trip, accidents, speed, etc. The daily increase in accident rates poses the biggest concern in Sri Lanka. These events not only result in fatalities but also increase the nation's financial losses. Traffic congestion is brought on by road users' lack of discipline and sentiments, which may result in traffic offenses. The goals of this research are to curb any traffic infractions as well as reduce corruption and nepotism on the road. This system was developed as separate three models namely edge server, fine management system and centralized server. Edge server developed in python is to detect traffic violations such as parking, single line cutting, double line cutting, one way and u turn in real time according to the changing rules and constraints configured by the traffic police admin via the fine management system which supports a configurable platform designed using canvas designing tools. Upon edger server identifying violations, the functions in the centralized server responsible to recognize the number plate of the violated vehicle will be triggered and send a sms to driver for further fine management and payment supported by the fine management system. The mobile application controlling server is responsible to track and inform the violations to nearest police officer in any case the system could not rectify the vehicle number plate.

Civil Servants (PNS) are still often associated with negative views such as corruption, collusion, nepotism, lack of discipline, lack of competence, lengthy bureaucracy and inefficiency. Several factors are thought to have an influence on the performance of civil servants, including education and training, discussing studies on the Analysis of Technical Human Resource Development for General Administration of Civil Servants Group II and III. The aim of increasing the competency of civil servants, especially groups II and III, is that they are able to carry out their duties professionally. The method used is mix methods. The approach applied is a descriptive approach, which aims to obtain an in-depth understanding of the qualitative and quantitative aspects of competency and the population consists of 85 Class II civil servants and 91 Class III employees. So, in total, there were 176 people who were respondents in the scale distribution. The results of the study show that 1) General Administration Competencies are required by class II and III civil servants regardless of educational background; 2) Class II civil servants must have 11 aspects of competency including main tasks, teamwork and communication; 3) Class III civil servants need to have 18 aspects of competency including duties, management, technology and conflict; 4) Competency measurement is carried out through self-assessment; 5) The majority of class II civil servants are quite competent but require improvement; 6) Training needs for class II civil servants including communication, problem solving and technical; 7) Development of class III civil servants including communication, decision making and technical matters; 8) Increasing the competency of class II civil servants through strategic planning monitoring, good working relationships and awards; 9) Increasing the competency of class III civil servants through strategic planning monitoring, problem handling and conflict resolution.
