I chose my current career path because I love the freedom of thought. The most important thing I learned from my students is mutual trust can work miracles. I'm always in a good mood when I give myself a big smile. The best advice I have ever been given is keep smiling. When I was a kid I wanted to be a teacher. A good day at work starts with a big smile. If I had one year of paid leave I would take my family on a trip. I can never resist delicious food. The principal aspect of my personality is persistence even in hard times. What I appreciate most about my friends is loyalty. The most important quality of a mentor is the willingness and ability to influence others. My favorite thing about my lab group is that every member is full of energy and hope. My favorite molecule is nitric oxide. My favorite place on earth is Nanjing in China. My favorite food is hot pot. My top three films of all time are The Pursuit of Happyness, Farewell My Concubine, and Forrest Gump. Behind the Science References 1Since 2017, our group has been thinking about whether we can construct zero-waste nanomotors that can specifically respond to the tumor microenvironment and the driving source can also play a therapeutic role. After the idea was put forward, our group (led by Professor Chun Mao) made concerted efforts to complete the project. The biggest challenge lies in the deep understanding of the reaction principle and the characteristics of the tumor microenvironment at the beginning of the project. We spent a long time (especially Zhiyong Liu, a graduate student) doing in-depth preliminary investigations.
