The most important objective of the integration of ICT and education is to improve educational quality, this integration is perceived as an innovation in educational institutions, due to the changes it causes in education and behavior its actors. The purpose of this research was to study the influence of the management of ICT on education quality, employing an empirical, cross, with a descriptive, correlational and explanatory scope analysis, using cross-sectional information. Management of TIC was quantified from a survey that measured the perception of this management by teachers in their formal educational institutions Cali, Colombia; while quality was measured by the results achieved by students in the final year of secondary education of these institutions, in the 11th grade standardized test, which the state did in 2014. The empirical analysis threw evidence that the use teaching of ICT, the knowledge that teachers have of them, the strategic direction and management of resources TIC performing educational institutions influence outcomes of school standardized tests. We conclude that the successful integration of education and TIC, depend on the ability of ICT management and this in turn absorption, diffusion and knowledge management capacities of educational institutions.
