A thermal comfort field survey in Zambia, a country which experiences a tropical upland climate, is described. The survey was done in the cool season (June/July) in the city of Kitwe situated in the north of the country, using the Bedford scale. The neutral temperature was found to be 22.2 °C and the comfort zone was 19.7–24.7 °C. The survey also found that males and females have the same neutral temperature.
