PECULIARITIES OF THE KEY IMAGES CONVEYING OF А.S. PUSHKIN’S POEM “TO THE SLANDERERS OF RUSSIA” IN ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS

The article deals with the peculiarities of rendering the key images of A.S. Pushkin’s poem “To the Slanderers of Russia” in the English translations. The research aims at comparative analysis of the key images rendering and stylistic features of the poem. The research material comprises three English translations. The article analyses the transformation of the text and its key images. In particular, the article compares the semantic fields of the original lexemes with their English equivalents. It is defined how the translator’s selection of a particular translation unit affects the tonality of the work. Moreover, the impact of the historical context and the translators’ personal perception on the translated text is analysed. The article deals with the problem of transferring realities when translating a poetic text. The study applies elements of etymological, comparative-historical and comparative analyses. The images conveyed are actively undergone various translational transformations. The transferred images are actively subjected to various translation transformations.

Detection of clavicle fracture after martial arts training based on 3D segmentation and multi-perspective fusion

To improve the diagnosis efficiency of clavicle fractures, a Diagnosis Model of Clavicle Fracture Based on 3D Segmentation and Multi Perspective Fusion (3Ds MPF) is proposed in the experiment. By performing 3D segmentation on clavicle images, key layer images are extracted, and multi-perspective image data are fused and output to achieve accurate classification and diagnosis results. The results show that on the relevant dataset, the loss function value of the constructed model is less than 0.01, and the calculation accuracy is as high as 0.999. The average classification accuracy in actual use exceeds 90%, and it can capture the majority of fracture features in clavicle computed tomography images. The above results indicate that the model constructed by the research institute can significantly improve the judgment efficiency of computed tomography images, which helps to enhance the detection and diagnosis of clinical fracture conditions. The experimental results have helped improve the clinical diagnostic efficiency of fracture detection work.

Literary geography and the problem of the formation of geo-cultural texts (using the example of the Black Sea texts of Russian literature)

The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of geo-cultural texts within the framework of literary geography. An important part of literary and geographical studies is the study of geographical images presented in literary works. The concept of a geo-cultural text makes it possible to typologize literary and geographical images in relation to different geo-cultures. Local geo-cultures with a developed literary tradition usually have a number of representative geo-cultural texts that characterize the landscape and figurative features of the development of a given territory. The evolution of the Black Sea text is considered using the concepts of geo-culture and geo-cultural text. Images of the South, exoticism, and antiquity are explored as key images determining the development of the Black Sea text. Special attention is paid to the formation of interrelations between the images of the Crimea and antiquity. The marine “exoticism,” combined with the “atmosphere” of antiquity, the marginal antiquity of European culture, turned out to be the strongest emotional stimulus for the formation of both southern and Black Sea images in Russian literature. In the geo-cultural context, the “crystallization” of the Black Sea text of Russian literature takes place by the end of the 19th–beginning of the 20th century (I. Bunin, A. Kuprin). This is due to the rich landscape descriptions, which make it possible to talk about the “Black Sea aura” of these texts and the emergence of a kind of “Black Sea ontologies.” Further, the substantial core of the geo-cultural Black Sea text in the 20th century is determined by the works of M. Voloshin, O. Mandelstam, I. Babel, A. Green, K. Paustovsky, V. Kataev. Through the “crystallization” of the Crimean and Black Sea texts and the modern re-creation of its own image of “Black Sea antiquity” throughout the 20th century, Russian culture created its geo-cultural “antiquity” within the framework of the European geo-cultural space. Thanks to the work of I. Brodsky (“Roman” and “imperial” loci), the Crimean and Black Sea texts expand their semantic field, turning out to be a “node” of metaphorical assimilation, uniting the Mediterranean geo-cultural area and geo-cultural zones of influence of Russian literature.

A Biometric Features-Based Watermarking Encryption Approach for Secure Authentication of Visual Images

Due to the uniqueness of biometric features, it remains practical in generating cryptographic keys. In this study, a region-based encryption method is proposed, which can avoid the attacks on the whole encryption such as block attack and frame insertion attack. This method can protect important areas while encrypting images so that the image can maintain recognition and credibility even when attacked. It has certain universality and scalability, and can be applied to a variety of scenarios and systems. First, biometric features are introduced to extract keys from fingerprint key images through grayscale segmentation and gradient segmentation. Then, a watermarking addition algorithm is completed based on single encryption and reversible exchange encryption using hybrid vectors, and the image is encrypted using encryption algorithms. Next, the generated biometric key is embedded into the encrypted image, and a complete watermark encryption model named BKE is established by adjusting the singular value decomposition algorithm. Finally, invisibility, decoding accuracy, and stability analysis are completed based on publicly available data. The experimental results show that this method has high effectiveness and feasibility in image security authentication, and this method improves the security and authentication accuracy of images. This method has broad application prospects and can be used for image security authentication in various fields.

The memories we (dis)like: wartime global news and Ukrainian-language poetry as semantic weapons

The research notes examine a shared memory created during the Russian war against Ukraine, as depicted in news coverage of global media outlets, and in Ukrainian-language competitive poetry from international free competitions and Ukrainian governmental art projects. The research goal is to explain the hidden dangers and consequences of war memorization. The author compares public collective evaluations of key metaphors used in news during the initial three weeks of war and analyzes key images in Ukrainian poetry from pre-war and wartime periods. Preliminary results of the secondary qualitative content analysis of news and analysis of group discussions with students specializing in different fields illustrate how the metaphors varied in terms of adequacy and artistic expressiveness due to societal evaluations. The findings of quantitative semantic analysis of Ukrainian-language poems highlight how the shift in key images correlates with the transition from a relatively peaceful context to an overtly military one. The knowledge gained contributes to a better understanding of memory weaponization and specific ways in which collective sensitivity is little influenced by media positions (pro-Ukrainian or non-pro-Ukrainian), being more dependent on a sense of morality.

Diagnostic performances of Claude 3 Opus and Claude 3.5 Sonnet from patient history and key images in Radiology's "Diagnosis Please" cases.

The diagnostic performance of large language artificial intelligence (AI) models when utilizing radiological images has yet to be investigated. We employed Claude 3 Opus (released on March 4, 2024) and Claude 3.5 Sonnet (released on June 21, 2024) to investigate their diagnostic performances in response to the Radiology's Diagnosis Please quiz questions. In this study, the AI models were tasked with listing the primary diagnosis and two differential diagnoses for 322 quiz questions from Radiology's "Diagnosis Please" cases, which included cases 1 to 322, published from 1998 to 2023. The analyses were performed under the following conditions: (1) Condition 1: submitter-provided clinical history (text) alone. (2) Condition 2: submitter-provided clinical history and imaging findings (text). (3) Condition 3: clinical history (text) and key images (PNG file). We applied McNemar's test to evaluate differences in the correct response rates for the overall accuracy under Conditions 1, 2, and 3 for each model and between the models. The correct diagnosis rates were 58/322 (18.0%) and 69/322 (21.4%), 201/322 (62.4%) and 209/322 (64.9%), and 80/322 (24.8%) and 97/322 (30.1%) for Conditions 1, 2, and 3 for Claude 3 Opus and Claude 3.5 Sonnet, respectively. The models provided the correct answer as a differential diagnosis in up to 26/322 (8.1%) for Opus and 23/322 (7.1%) for Sonnet. Statistically significant differences were observed in the correct response rates among all combinations of Conditions 1, 2, and 3 for each model (p < 0.01). Claude 3.5 Sonnet outperformed in all conditions, but a statistically significant difference was observed only in the comparison for Condition 3 (30.1% vs. 24.8%, p = 0.028). Two AI models demonstrated a significantly improved diagnostic performance when inputting both key images and clinical history. The models' ability to identify important differential diagnoses under these conditions was also confirmed.

Optimal Magnetic Resonance Sequence for Assessment of Central Cartilage Tumor Scalloping

Abstract Background Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is key in evaluating central cartilage tumors. The BACTIP (Birmingham Atypical Cartilaginous Tumour Imaging Protocol) protocol assesses central cartilage tumor risk based on the tumor size and degree of endosteal scalloping on MRI. It provides a management protocol for assessment, follow-up, or referral of central cartilage tumors. Objective Our study compared four MRI sequences: T1-weighted (T1-w), fluid sensitive (Short Tau Inversion Recovery (STIR)- weighted, STIR-w), and grayscale inversions (T1-w GSI and short tau inversion recovery [STIR] GSI) to see how reliably endosteal scalloping was detected. Materials and Methods Two senior consultant musculoskeletal radiologists with experience reviewed randomly selected 60 representative central cartilage tumor cases with varying degree of endosteal scalloping to reflect a spectrum of BACTIP pathologies. The endosteal scalloping was graded as per the definition of BACTIP A, B, and C. They agreed on a consensus BACTIP grade for each of the 240 key images (60 cases × 4 sequences), which was considered the final “consensus” BACTIP grade. These 240 images were then randomized into a test set and given to two fellowship-trained consultant musculoskeletal radiologists for analysis. They assigned a BACTIP grade to each of the 240 selected images while being blinded to the final “consensus” BACTIP grade. The training set was further subdivided into three groups based on the MR image quality (good quality, average quality, and poor quality) to ascertain if the quality of the acquired images influenced intraobserver and interobserver agreements on the BACTIP grading. The two observers were blinded to the grade assigned to the image quality. Results Linearly weighted kappa analysis was performed to measure the agreement between the BACTIP grading answers by two observers and the “consensus” BACTIP grading answers, as well as the BACTIP grading agreement between the two observers themselves.The analysis revealed that T1-w and STIR-w sequences demonstrated more consistent and higher agreement across different image qualities. However, the T1-w GSI and STIR-w GSI sequences exhibited lower agreement, particularly for poor-quality images. T1-w imaging demonstrated substantial agreement between BACTIP gradings for poor-quality images, suggesting potential resilience of T1-w sequence in challenging imaging conditions. Conclusion T1-w imaging is the best sequence for BACTIP grading of endosteal scalloping, followed by fluid-sensitive STIR sequences.

Joseph Conrad in the eyes of Kazimierz Wierzyński: Fearless of the Boundless and Familiar with the Infinite

Kazimierz Wierzyński (1894-1969) is now considered to be one of the greatest modern Polish poets. He was born in Drohobycz (which is now in western Ukraine) and studied literature and philosophy in Cracow and Vienna. During the interwar years he lived in Warsaw, after which for several years (1939-1941) he lived as a wartime refugee before spending more than twenty years in the United States. An émigré for the rest of his life, he finally settled in London, where he died in 1969. Wierzyński’s poetry – like the works of Joseph Conrad – exhibits a particular sensibility to nature (perceived as a living organism) and the outside world, which is full of extraordinary places, objects, people and phenomena that invite us to reflect on the deeper meaning of our existence as human beings. Both writers share a stoic response to adversity and a fidelity to conscience and to the heritage of European culture. In his 1924 sketch entitled “Conrad’s Great Silence,” Wierzyński saw Conrad above all as a writer who yearns for the infinite, whose “maritime reflection is reproduced in his work.” Twelve years later, in a narrative poem entitled Lord Jim (forming part of his 1936 collection entitled Kurhany), Wierzyński brought the eponymous character of Conrad’s novel into the pantheon of the Polish collective imagination. The fate of Lord Jim, who is tormented by nostalgia for his native England (to which he cannot return) would seem to foreshadow that of the émigré poet whom Wierzyński himself was soon to become. In the titular poem of Wierzyński’s wartime collection Róża wiatrów (The Wind Rose – 1942), Conrad appears as a “role model” for all Polish wartime refugees and émigrés, who, like castaways, search for their own guiding light “in the Conradian sky” – a light that could help them find a safe haven where they could live and work in their own artistic realm without the need to care about literary fashions. This poem has been translated into English (under the title The Compass Rose) by Mary Phelps (Kazimierz Wierzyński, Selected Poems, New York: Voyages Press, 1959). In the opinion of the author of the present article, this translation fails to correctly convey certain key images and allusions which enrich the meaning of the poem and which connect it with the poet’s own personal situation as an émigré writer.

The article is devoted to the researching of the theme of the brotherhood of people man and its evolution in the works by I. A. Bunin. In the artistic world of the writer, the idea of new — evangelical, fraternal relations between people, based on Christian love, is affirmed. The key images and motives for understanding the evolution of the theme of brotherhood of people appear in the early poems, such as “In Kostyol,” “The Gravestone Scripture:” the image of Christ, the motive of faithfulness to the “covenant of love” and to a new, evangelical relationship between people. In the works of 1914–1916 I. A. Bunin creates the image of humanity, which that has forgotten about God, about Christ, about its original initial brotherhood. There is a tragic motive of destruction of the brotherhood of people man poems “Silence,” “Desperation” and in his stories “Brothers,” “The Spring Evening.” The article pays special attention to the study of the Christian text in the short story “Brothers,” the results of which allow to speak about the Gospel meaning of the word “brothers” in the epigraph and in the title of the story, which are playing the most important role in the expression of the key author’s idea, phrased in the words of Christ. I. A. Bunin’s works of the period of the Russian Revolution of 1917 and of the Civil War, namely his diary “Cursed Days” and his speech “The Mission of Russian Emigration,” are imbued with the tragic motive of fratricide and with images of Russian Cain and Russian Abel. The ideas of brotherhood of people and of the deepest interconnection of all humanity people is heardresounds again in through the works by I. A. Bunin inof the emigration period, in and in his lyrical and philosophical prose of the 1920s. The theme of the brotherhood of people in the works by I. A. Bunin, which undoubtedly has an undoubted evangelical basis, develops throughout the writer’s work, which testifies to its significance for the writer’s worldview and his concept of peace and man.

Exploring chat generated pre-trained transformer-3 ability to interpret MRI knee images and generate reports

Objectives: The study’s objective was to determine if Chat Generated Pre-Trained Transformer-3 (ChatGPT)-4V can interpret magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) knees and generate preliminary reports based on images and clinical history provided by the radiologist. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional observational study involved selecting 10 MRI knees with representative imaging findings from the institution’s radiology reporting database. Key MRI images were then input into the ChatGPT-4V model, which was queried with four questions: (i) What does the image show?; (ii) What is the sequence?; (iii) What is the key finding?; and, (iv) Finally, the model generated a report based on the provided clinical history and key finding. Responses from ChatGPT-4 were documented and independently evaluated by two musculoskeletal radiologists through Likert scoring. Results: The mean scores for various questions in the assessment were as follows: 2 for “What does the image show?,” 2.10 for “What is the sequence?,” 1.15 for “What is the key finding?,” and the highest mean score of 4.10 for the command “Write a report of MRI of the…” Radiologists consistently gave mean scores ranging from 2.0 to 2.5 per case, with no significant differences observed between different cases (P &gt; 0.05). The interclass correlation coefficient between the two raters was 0.92 (95% Confidence interval: 0.85–0.96). Conclusion: ChatGPT-4V excelled in generating reports based on user-fed clinical information and key findings, with a mean score of 4.10 (good to excellent proficiency). However, its performance in interpreting medical images was subpar, scoring ≤2.10. ChatGPT-4V, as of now, cannot interpret medical images accurately and generate reports.

Designing an Alternative Typeface to Reflect the Identity of the ITS Campus

This research aims to design a new typeface that reflects the characteristics of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) campus and can be used in a variety of contexts. The new typeface, ITS-Artistech, was created by synthesizing key features into the anatomy of Latin letters, which were extracted from the key characteristics and images of the ITS campus. The typeface is intended to be one of several typographic options that reflect ITS and to pioneer typeface production at ITS, contributing to the theoretical and practical body of knowledge on designing typefaces that reflect campus identity. The research method involved collecting data on the use of typefaces in the ITS environment and ITS profile, conducting perceptual studies to know how people perceive the images and characteristics of the ITS campus, and developing the typeface through a series of iterative refinement steps. The new typeface is a valuable resource for the ITS community, as it helps to promote the university's brand, foster a sense of community, and support the creative process and the research of typeface design. It is also a unique and distinctive typeface that is not based on any preexisting letters. The typeface is available as a digital letterform (font) that can be installed and used for a variety of purposes, including digital and print promotional materials.

Sound Metaphors in Vera Bogdanova’s novel &lt;i&gt;The Season of Poisoned Fruit&lt;/i&gt;

The paper considers sound metaphors in the novel of Vera Bogdanova The Season of Poisoned Fruit (2022). The term sound metaphor extensively refers to comparative tropes of various types (metaphors and similes) that have sounds as source domain. The novel The Season of Poisoned Fruit presents a variety of sounds as source domain (names of different types of sounds, sounds produced by objects, insects and animals, human speech, music and echo, as well as images of silence, which are the absence of sound). Moreover, it contains a variety of objects as target domain (emotional states, most often negative ones, mental states and processes, natural and weather phenomena, household items, abstract images and ideas). In the novel, sounds can be not only images of comparison, but also objects of comparison in comparative tropes. Sound metaphors appear in complex combinations of metaphors, interact with objective world of the text generating key images and leitmotifs of the text. Sound images are important at different text levels: at the level of composition, in figurative language and style. Thus, sound metaphors are an important element in the imagery of the novel.

Linking crown fire likelihood with post-fire spectral variability in Mediterranean fire-prone ecosystems

Background Fire behaviour assessments of past wildfire events have major implications for anticipating post-fire ecosystem responses and fuel treatments to mitigate extreme fire behaviour of subsequent wildfires. Aims This study evaluates for the first time the potential of remote sensing techniques to provide explicit estimates of fire type (surface fire, intermittent crown fire, and continuous crown fire) in Mediterranean ecosystems. Methods Random Forest classification was used to assess the capability of spectral indices and multiple endmember spectral mixture analysis (MESMA) image fractions (char, photosynthetic vegetation, non-photosynthetic vegetation) retrieved from Sentinel-2 data to predict fire type across four large wildfires Key results MESMA fraction images procured more accurate fire type estimates in broadleaf and conifer forests than spectral indices, without remarkable confusion among fire types. High crown fire likelihood in conifer and broadleaf forests was linked to a post-fire MESMA char fractional cover of about 0.8, providing a direct physical interpretation. Conclusions Intrinsic biophysical characteristics such as the fractional cover of char retrieved from sub-pixel techniques with physical basis are accurate to assess fire type given the direct physical interpretation. Implications MESMA may be leveraged by land managers to determine fire type across large areas, but further validation with field data is advised.

A Lightweight Image Cryptosystem for Cloud-Assisted Internet of Things

Cloud computing and the increasing popularity of 5G have greatly increased the application of images on Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The storage of images on an untrusted cloud has high security and privacy risks. Several lightweight cryptosystems have been proposed in the literature as appropriate for resource-constrained IoT devices. These existing lightweight cryptosystems are, however, not only at the risk of compromising the integrity and security of the data but also, due to the use of substitution boxes (S-boxes), require more memory space for their implementation. In this paper, a secure lightweight cryptography algorithm, that eliminates the use of an S-box, has been proposed. An algorithm termed Enc, that accepts a block of size n divides the block into L n R bits of equal length and outputs the encrypted block as follows: E=L⨂R⨁R, where ⨂ and ⨁ are exclusive-or and concatenation operators, respectively, was created. A hash result, hasR=SHA256P⨁K, was obtained, where SHA256, P, and K are the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA−256), the encryption key, and plain image, respectively. A seed, S, generated from enchash=Enchashenc,K, where hashenc is the first n bits of hasR, was used to generate a random image, Rim. An intermediate image, intimage=Rim⨂P, and cipher image, C=Encintimage,K, were obtained. The proposed scheme was evaluated for encryption quality, decryption quality, system sensitivity, and statistical analyses using various security metrics. The results of the evaluation showed that the proposed scheme has excellent encryption and decryption qualities that are very sensitive to changes in both key and plain images, and resistance to various statistical attacks alongside other security attacks. Based on the result of the security evaluation of the proposed cryptosystem termed Hash XOR Permutation (HXP), the study concluded that the security of the cryptography algorithm can still be maintained without the use of a substitution box.

User Engagement Detection-Based Financial Technology Advertising Video Effectiveness Evaluation

With the rapid advancement of financial technology, an increasing number of related advertisements have received widespread attention. User engagement detection during the advertisement viewing process directly reflects the effectiveness of the advertising video. Therefore, detecting user engagement during the advertisement viewing process has become a crucial issue. However, traditional engagement detection methods often require significant computational resources, significantly reducing their practicality. To address this issue, the authors propose a method to effectively detect user engagement by fully integrating multiple relatively practical models. Specifically, the authors extract key frame images from user face video and perform super-resolution reconstruction of them. Then image pyramid matching is used to achieve user engagement detection. Finally, the authors establish a reasonable database and conduct sufficient experiments based on it. Experimental results demonstrate that this proposed method has realistic engagement detection accuracy, and the design of multiple steps is also valid.

Optical information hiding for different surface images.

Optical hiding often requires the selection of specific artificial optical components as carriers, which results in poor versatility of the carriers and high costs for the hiding system. To conceal secret information on different surfaces such as metal, wood, and paper, we propose an optical information hiding method. In this method, we use images of surfaces, whose grayscale histograms have the characteristic of symmetric distribution. Based on this characteristic, we first scramble the surface image, and then adjust part of the gray value of the surface image to the complementary value to embed the secret information into a scrambled surface image to generate a key image. In the extraction process, a projector is used to reproduce the scrambled surface image and the key image, which are then incoherently superimposed to extract the secret information using the human visual system. The extraction process does not require complex optical knowledge and is simple and feasible. Simulation experiments and optical experiments indicate that this method is applicable in practice and possesses good security and imperceptibility. Furthermore, we prove the reliability of this method by embedding secret information in different surface images, demonstrating the potential application of more surface images in the field of optical information hiding. Finally, we discuss the applicability of surface information images and analyze the imperceptibility of key images.

Murals and Graffiti in Ruins: What Does the Art from the Aliko Hotel on Naxos Tell Us?

This manuscript investigates the cultural and educational dimensions of murals and graffiti in the ruins of the Aliko Hotel on Naxos Island. Moving beyond their aesthetic value, these artworks are examined as conduits for complex sociocultural and educational discourses. Employing semiotic analysis, particularly informed by Roland Barthes’ conceptual framework, the study offers a multi-layered interpretation of the significance of street art. A systematic approach guided the empirical data collection, entailing the careful selection and categorisation of 76 photographs, eventually honed down to 21 key images for detailed analysis. This set, comprising 6 murals and 15 graffiti pieces, was subjected to meticulous examination to discern both dominant themes and motifs (‘studium’) and the elements evoking personal connections (‘punktum’), thereby facilitating emotional and intellectual engagement. The methodology of the study is tailored to uncover the collective narratives encapsulated within these visual forms, as well as the individual responses they provoke. It probes how personal interpretations are influenced by the viewers’ beliefs and backgrounds, thereby expanding the semiotic analysis to encompass both shared and individual meanings. This balanced analytical approach deepens the understanding of visual expressions as dynamic interactions between the artwork and its audience. It underscores the transformative role of street art in urban environments and its contribution to public art discourse. The impending demolition of the Hotel Aliko ruins underscores the ephemeral nature of street art. The murals and graffiti, as transient custodians of cultural and social narratives, accentuate the fragile nature of this cultural heritage. This critical moment underscores the importance of documenting and preserving such art forms and the stories they encapsulate, highlighting their significant role in shaping community identity and cultural education.

Taxonomic studies on chalcid wasps (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Chalcididae) of Goa, India, with an illustrated key to genera and species

ABSTRACT This study on the chalcidid wasps (Hymenoptera: Chalcididae) reports 26 species belonging to 12 genera and four subfamilies from the state of Goa, India. Of these, 20 species and seven genera are newly recorded from Goa. An illustrated key, synonyms, brief description and habitus images are provided for all the species of Chalcididae found in Goa, India.

Review of the Costa Rican Saltagenes Diller, 1995 (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Ichneumoninae: Phaeogenini) with descriptions of seven new species.

The parasitoid wasp genus Saltagenes Diller, 1995 is known only from the original description of a single species from Argentina. However, undescribed Saltagenes species occur throughout the Neotropical region and into the southern Nearctic. Here, I review the Saltagenes species of Costa Rica and describe seven new species: Saltagenes alboannulatus sp. nov., S. atrosomus sp. nov., S. escazuensis sp. nov., S. gauldi sp. nov., S. modicum sp. nov., S. pseudatrosomus sp. nov., and S. rotundiceps sp. nov. The generic diagnosis is revised to account for hitherto unknown morphological diversity of Saltagenes. An illustrated key and specimen images are provided to aid in identification. Saltagenes is now represented by eight described species though more than double that figure remain undescribed from outside of Costa Rica. More broadly, this study highlights the paucity of our knowledge of Costa Rican Ichneumoninae.
