Joyful Learning Berbasis Ice Breaking Dalam Pembelajaran Mufradat di MTs Singosari

Strategies in mufradat learning at the MTs level play an important role in supporting the success of learning. This study aims to determine the process of applying joyful learning based on ice breaking in mufradat learning at MTs El-Jasmeen and the student's responses. This study uses a qualitative approach that is descriptive. The primary data sources of this research are the results of observations, interviews, and documentation of teachers and students. In addition, research will be supported by secondary data sources in the form of scientific articles or books related to the discussion. Data collection techniques used are observations, interviews, and documentation. All collected data were then analyzed in four stages, namely collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion. For the validity of the data, the researcher triangulated the data at the end of the study. The results of this study are (1) In mufradat learning, joyful learning is carried out by incorporating ice breaking and using existing technology. 2) The response of all students is good and they feel happy with the existing learning.

MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN DESA KARACAK LEUWILIANG MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN TAMBAHAN SEKOLAH ALAM JONG BOBAR (STUDI KASUS MI MATHLAUL ANWAR GELEDUG)

This research purpose to provide efforts to improve the education quality of human resources especially students of MI Mathaul Anwar Geledug Karacak Leuwiliang. The urgency of this research is the inequality and limited access facilities to improve the quality of human resources so that additional learing is needed which is spearheaded by the youth community in Bogor Regency. The research method used is qualitative with field research observing how the activities and series of sekolah alam are carried out. Plus, I took advantage of sekolah alam Jong Bobar activities for observing. As for some of the activities Sekolah Alam such as including English classes, local history, literacy, and so on. Even though additional classes outside formal schools, there are obstacles to implementing such as limited funds, time, and low awareness of students and student guardians. However, on the other hand, there is a significant impact from the sekolah alam on the fourthgrade students of MI Mathlaul Anwar, namely intelligence, knowledge, and courage. This is caused by an effective teaching method in which we use joyful learning and gamification. Therefore, with this method we do devotion and build the village through improving the quality of education for MI Mathlaul Anwar students.

GAME METHODS OF DEVELOPING PRESCHOOL CHILDREN’S CREATIVE ABILITIES WITHIN MUSICAL ACTIVITIES

The article analyzes the essence of the categories “creativity” and “creative abilities”. It highlights the game methods of developing preschool children’s creative abilities within various types of musical activities, such as listening to music, singing, musical-rhythmic and musical-game activities, and playing children’s musical instruments. The approaches of V. Verkhovynets, K. Orf, Sh. Suzuki and others have been analyzed the development of children’s creative abilities in musical activities, which are successfully applied in preschool music education in Ukraine.
 Variants of musical and creative, plot and role-playing games, staging, improvisation, playing Ukrainian folk songs, collective creativity, game methods, and techniques for activating creative abilities during the creation and preparation of the author’s children’s musical “Musical and colorful fairy tale” by Hennadii Rahulin are offered. Participating in the musical children can experiment with sounds, instruments, and rhythms, and freely express their ideas and imagination.
 It is proven that game methods usage increases the effectiveness of the pedagogical process in general due to the experience of successful situations. It is emphasized that while developing children’s creative abilities while playing, it is necessary to strive for the joy of games to turn into the joys of learning about the world and encourage creativity. The article provides recommendations for teachers and parents regarding the use of game methods in the musical activities of preschool children.

PEMBELAJARAN JOYFULL LEARNING DENGAN PUZZLE GAME BERBASIS EKSPERIMEN: MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA MATA PELAJARAN IPA

This study aims to describe the implementation of Joyful Leaning learning with Experiment-based Puzzle Games in increasing student learning interest in Class IV Science at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus accompanied by various factors that support and hinder it. This research is included in the descriptive qualitative research where the type of research is field research. Data will be obtained through interviews, observation and documentation of research subjects, namely teachers and students at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus. The validity of the data obtained will be tested by testing the validity of the data in the form of extending observations, increasing persistence and member checks. The data analysis that will be carried out uses Miles and Huberman's theory. The results of this study indicate that the application of Experiment-based Joyful Learning with Puzzle Games in class IV Science subjects at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus begins with preliminary activities, core activities and closing activities. Joyful Learning Learning with Experiment-based Puzzle Game was able to increase students' interest in learning, namely at the 1st meeting with results (55%: Fairly Good), 2nd meeting with results (60%: Fairly Good), 3rd meeting with results ( 64% : Good), and the 4th meeting with results (66% : Good). The supporting factors for Joyful Learning with experimental-based Puzzle Games are teachers and students, while the inhibiting factors are facilities and infrastructure as well as observational tools and materials. Factors supporting interest in learning for grade IV students in Science Subjects, namely teachers, students, student conditions, class conditions and the inhibiting factors are the lack of parental assistance and appreciation given by outstanding students as well as item numbers 9 and 14 indicators of interest in learning.

Community English In Program Training For Active and Smart Vacational High School Students (CEPAT FASIH) Di SMK Mamba’ul Ihsan Ujungpangkah Gresik

The purpose of this service is to increase creativity so that students get used to listening to communication in English and can actively speak English, so this community service is aimed at partners, namely: MAMBAUL IHSAN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL, as many as ten teachers were involved. Based on the description of the existing situation analysis, the problems of the partners are: Several solutions are offered: Providing workshop training to vocational school teachers, especially English subject teachers regarding: a) Teaching English in a joyful learning and through a communicative approach . b) Administration and learning tools are equipped according to the learning curriculum. c) Making teaching aids in the form of images/ audio visual as learning media. d) Increase the number of media and understand various learning methods to foster teacher creativity. e) Build facilities and infrastructure. f) Conduct training for teachers in designing learning tools. In addition, the results achieved in the form of methods in settlement for partners are as follows: 1) Conduct Information and Technology (IT) training which is summarized in the workshop : Internet and its network 2) Workshop which also includes training "Use of media and conversation modules " 3) Provision of active English conversation modules for SMK students. 4) Student internship. The target recommendation of this PKM activity is to assist English subject teachers in improving the teaching and learning process and learning outcomes in teaching English as well as improving the communication of SMK students in conversations using English actively .

Joyful Learning dalam Pendidikan Rasulullah SAW

This article aims to present joyful learning inthe education of Rasulullah SAW. The research uses library research, is presented in a narrative manner, and is analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed that the Prophet Muhammad had practiced joyful learning in his learning process, where he played and joked with young children, while guiding and reminding them when they made mistakes, and motivating them to do good. The principle of learning is by prioritizing gentle, humble, not neglecting, and polite speech. The implication of the research is that it can help educators and stakeholders to use fun learning strategies in Rasulullah SAW education effectively for Islamic education, especially early childhood.

Joyful Learning as a Worthwhile Instructional Activity for English Beginner Students in the Post Covid 19 Pandemic Era

During the Covid-19 pandemic, there were many ways that schools used to keep learning going, and one of the learning approaches that are meaningful and fun in the child's world is joyful Learning. SDIT Al-Furqan located in Enrekang regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, also felt the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The most visible effect is that their enthusiasm for Learning has decreased because they have been "sent home" for a long time. The researchers concluded that using children's songs will be easy to gain success in their listening goal and make the students more interested in learning English. For this reason, English for beginners in the new normal era through joyful Learning can be used as a choice to restore the learning mood of students. Joyful Learning assumed as a worthwhile learning activity in English. The researcher applied a pre-experimental class design with one group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was fifth-grade students of SDIT AL-Furqan, Indonesia. The data analysis showed that the joyful learning method positively impacts the students. It was proved by the students' mean score in pretest was better than in posttest. Moreover, the students also give their positive perceptions of implementing joyful Learning. Briefly, joyful learning activities positively affect beginner elementary school students' English achievement.

The Crucial Role of Education and Teachers in Sustainable Development and Societal Progress

The purpose of the research article is to examine the primary teacher preparation programme in the context of sustainable development education. The article opens by emphasizing the importance of education for a country's growth and how excellent education necessitates skilled instructors. Unimaginable blessings have come from the development process that has been pursued up to this point, but it has also brought forth significant obstacles for both emerging countries and human civilization as a whole. The idea of sustainable development is thought to contribute to the preservation of the priceless human species on Earth, and it could only be accomplished if education on sustainable development is given to future generations. The article highlights the value of education for society and quotes Nelson Mandela as saying that education is the most potent tool for bringing about global change. The article goes on to highlight several committees and commissions that have made comments and reports expressing the value of education. These committees advise that an effective teacher professional development programme is necessary for the advancement of the quality of education, that investing in teacher education may pay off handsomely, and that teacher education is a continual process. The National Education Policy of 2016 has also made the point that inadequate teacher preparation and education directly contribute to the low quality of school education. The report emphasizes the necessity for well-prepared and educated teachers while highlighting the state of elementary teacher training institutes. In order to relieve children's stress, the paper's conclusion states that the curriculum for elementary teacher education must be created in a way that supports education for sustainable development, is child-centered, encourages universal enrollment and retention, and is centered on joyful learning experiences.

The mediating role of academic self-regulation in the relationship between autocorrect use and vocabulary size

Mobile learning has extensively influenced students’ learning gains and motivation due to the hardware and software development of mobile devices and applications in recent decades. On-the-go learning increases the capacity for flexible and joyful learning and guarantees access to the instructional content anywhere, anytime. Despite their potential benefits, the presence of mobile applications in students’ every educational activity can be detrimental to their cognitive abilities as misuse or overuse of specific applications may influence students’ concentration and critical thinking. One such downside is reported for overusing automatic spelling correction software, known as AutoCorrect (AC), in language learning. Uncertainty regarding the educational values of AC has increased as students’ spelling skills and vocabulary knowledge have declined. The main problem this study addressed is examining the relationship between EFL learners’ AC use and their vocabulary size; and if their academic self-regulation mediates this association. Data were gathered from 101 foreign language learners who completed the measures of AC use, academic self-regulation, and vocabulary size. The results showed significant positive correlations between AC use, vocabulary size, and self-regulation. Further, testing the model supported a mediating role for self-regulation in the relationship between AC use and vocabulary size, suggesting that AC use can lead to more knowledge of English words in the condition of deploying self-regulatory strategies. The study signifies how academic self-regulation can assist learners in exploiting mobile learning (m-learning) to their advantage and attaining their educational goals more efficiently.

Exploring the role of implicit theories of talent in subjective well-being, academic buoyancy, and perceived physical health: A study in the Philippine context

Prior studies commonly emphasized the beneficial impacts of a growth mindset on students’ success and well-being. However, recent evidence cast doubts on the ability of a growth mindset to optimize desirable achievement and psychological outcomes. This study contributes to this line of evidence by exploring the association of mindsets in talent—a new domain of implicit theories encompassing belief about the nature of talent—with students’ subjective well-being, academic buoyancy, and general health among selected Filipino high school students. Results of structural equation modeling indicate that whereas incremental theory in talent (or growth mindset) was more strongly and positively correlated with academic buoyancy, school connectedness, and joy of learning, entity theory (or fixed mindset) was more strongly and positively associated with educational purpose and general health. These findings underscore the mental health rewards associated with cultivating both growth and fixed mindsets about talent in school contexts.

Development of PowToon Animation Video on Joyful Learning Loaded Reaction Rate Material to Increase High School Students' Learning Motivation

This research aims to produce animated PowToon videos on reaction rate material with Joyful Learning content and to analyze the quality of the product being developed. The method used in this study used a 4-D model consisting of define, design, development, and disseminate stages, but was limited to the developing stage. The instrument used in the study was in the form of video quality assessment sheets and student responses. The data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of video evaluation by media experts, material experts, reviewers, and student responses were 90%, 95%, 93%, and 92%, which were included in the very good category. That animated video had the advantage of being fun for students because it could present factual information through engaging animations and learning experiences that are difficult for students to get outside the school environment. Based on the study results, the PowToon animation video on the developed reaction rate material can be used as an alternative learning medium in creating fun learning and increasing student motivation.

Creating Joyful Experiences for Enhancing Meaningful Learning and Integrating 21st Century Skills

As the twentieth century gives way to the twenty-first, the world is undergoing a profound transformation that may be described as a paradigm shift on a global scale. The way we view student learning has evolved. As a result of this shift in perspective, many countries have revised their curricula to become more learner-centered, incorporating elements of formal, non-formal, and informal instruction. Teaching and learning strategies that emphasize the three types of skills—learning skills, literacy skills, and life skills—are the most effective way to give students a head start on the 21st-century abilities they’ll need to succeed in school and in the workplace. Meaningful learning will result when learners engage in knowledge construction conversation, articulation, collaboration, and reflection. The students learn meaningfully when they are will-fully engaged in a joyful task. Joyful Learning enables the learners to improve their 21stcentury skills as it helps students feel like they’re making progress as they’re studying, which is reassuring for a child. In the present research, the investigator has engaged learners (primary class students) in ‘Classroom shows’ related to subject-oriented presentations. Teacher instructor created a joyful learning environment for the learners to perform in a plethora of activities in the form of role plays, stories, songs, dance, recitation, games, puzzles etc. The Performance of learners was based on the assigned task integrating-communication, collaboration, critical-thinking and creativity skills. All the approaches be it Activity oriented, Experiential learning, Art Integrated learning were showcased. In the process, a student acquires the skills necessary for success in the real world through learning or some other method. The joyful experience leads to better understanding and engagement of learners. The intrinsic force is the joy which makes learning a joyful experience.

An Experimental Study of Students’ Attitude towards ICT Teaching Process in Educational Psychology

Mastery of students’ attitudes, beliefs, and interests in ICT is indispensable in designing effective Educational Psychology related courses. This study examined the relationship between the learners’ attitude towards ICT teaching and students’ active involvement in the class. Acquisition of ICT knowledge has become an integral part of today’s life. The participants were the student teachers under the age of 21-35 age group – I year of Thiagarajar College of Preceptors, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu, India. At the present era, the educational system seeks to prepare teachers and students for the workforce, and technology has become significant in Higher education. Results indicated significant substantial between the learners’ attitudes towards ICT teaching. In this study, Nearpod is considered an ICT tool that can be used to enhance teaching and learning for those class lectures and assessment. ICT tool like Nearpod helps the teacher and educators to make any lesson interactive, whether in the classroom or virtual. The study’s findings showed that the activities of Nearpod have promoted active and joyful learning in the actual classroom. Students feel comfort in responding to questions by answering digitally while the teacher encourages in-class discussion.

Implementing ICARE training model to enhance Indonesian students’ emceeing skills: Its process and impact

Having a good command of public speaking skills has been considered a pivotal modal for students to gain academic achievement and professional success. Practicing to be a master of ceremony can be a means of elevating public speaking skills. However, mastering the emceeing skills is not an easy task since it requires the students’ competencies to make use of linguistic and non-linguistic resources. The purpose of this study is to elucidate the results of the implementation of the ICARE model (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, and Extension) to enhance students’ linguistic- and non-linguistic-related emceeing skills. This research employed a quantitative and qualitative approaches, using an observation sheet, interview protocol, and pre and posttest. The results showed that the training activities focused on establishing a group collaboration and promoted confidence in linguistic and non-linguistic mastery. The observation results revealed that the application of the ICARE model was considered helpful since it could facilitate teaching and learning activities in a more contextual way, with active, creative, and fun characteristics (joyful learning) and obtained a positive response from the students. They could relate it to everyday life. The statistical results of the pre and posttest scores demonstrated the effectiveness of the ICARE model in enhancing the students’ language and non-language-related emceeing skills. The results affirm the importance of mastering linguistic and non-linguistic elements that contribute to increased public speaking skills.

Teacher's Strategy to Create Fun Learning in Elementary School

Fun learning has become a demand for learning from students. Students as learning subjects need pleasure as the essence of human life needs. Students who feel happy and are not pressured during learning will be able to follow the learning process well. Even with the fun that students have, it can help them to improve learning outcomes and can even form good character within them. The focus of this research is to describe various teacher strategies in realizing fun learning in elementary schools. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research method is the method of literature review. The results of this study describe several fun learning strategies such as constructivist learning methods, edutainment approaches, character-based edutainment learning, and joyful learning. The learning strategy is expected to be applied by elementary school teachers in learning. By implementing this learning strategy, it can realize learning that is in favor of students to realize the profile of Pancasila students in the era of independent learning.

Student conceptions of motivation to study revealed through phenomenography: Differences and similarities among primary school students

This study examined a group of primary Swedish students' conceptions of their own motivation for learning. Altogether, 68 students in Grades 3, 6, and 8 participated in the study, in which similarities and differences among students in the three grades were considered. Theoretical and methodological aspects were guided by the phenomenographical approach. For most students, positive and negative influences on motivation emerged in seven distinct categories: feelings, teachers, teaching, subjects, learning environment, classmates, and well-being. The apparent importance of good teachers, structured and varied lessons, practical aesthetic subjects and more group-rooms was similar across the three different grades. Differences that emerged were students' reduced joy in learning, decreased interest in mathematics, higher levels of stress and pressure, more worry and anxiety, higher degree of preparation for the future, and a greater need for individualisation for the older students. The study's results confirm previous research but also provide new knowledge about variations across the grades and more specific factors that promote or inhibit students' motivation to study.

Effectiveness of Think Aloud Pair Problem Solving and Case Study based Active Learning Techniques for Engineering Classroom

Engineering and Technology is a very dynamic sector and change is very rapid. The knowledge gained in traditional classrooms, through online lectures, through search engines, online video books, and Wikipedia is just helping to understand the theoretical concepts. These information sources cannot develop abilities to apply the theoretical concept to real-world problems. This can be developed through experiential learning in workshops, industrial visits, field visits, etc. The advanced courses are not having this scope due to limited lab capacities, high instrument costs, a variety of instruments, quick revisions in technology, less number of industries, IP securities, and many more reasons. The Automobile sector is a vibrant one and the Automobile Engineering department is always facing these issues. This study presents the teaching-learning experience of the course Automotive Control Engineering which faces the above issues. The study was conducted for T.Y.B.Tech Automobile Engineering students for the years 2018-19. The aim of the study was to increase the concept implementation ability of the students. The theoretical knowledge that was being received through books, lectures, and search engines were used to correlate the working of advanced technology. Think Aloud pair problem-solving technique (TAPPS) and case study presentation of the real-world system tools have been used for the course delivery. The course attainment level of the experimental group increased by 11%. The students have shown enhancement in competencies like problem-solving, application of theoretical concepts, critical thinking, lifelong learning, etc. Learning from peers and in groups also improved classroom engagement and the joy of learning. Enhancing Student's Engagement in Learning: Shades of Interactive Online Offline Session

Abstract : The daunting horizon of Covid-19 has certainly upraised a new normal of e-learning environments. Nevertheless, participative engagement in online teaching has floated a challenge which is an implicit need for joyful learning. There is a need of keeping our online as well as offline sessions live and enhance the student's involvement with joy. In this paper, two novel and interactive techniques are proposed namely Idea Spinner and Crossword. These techniques have assured its emphasis in online/offline educational teaching along with improvement in student's engagement. Idea Spinner is an underlying concept of a spinning wheel with 'n' concept quadrants interfaced via wheeldecide.com. Eclipse crossword is a free tool to articulate our custom crosswords and inline them with our interactive sessions by sharing screen controls. The above-stated techniques were instigated for Third year B. Tech. – CSE (System Software) and Final Year B. Tech. ETC (System Verilog, Elective). The idea spinner technique has essentially assisted to uplift the global outreach with a rise of 55 percentage active responses over regular questioning. Crossword has especially helped weak learning students to enjoy a lesson-themed puzzle forenriching the feeling of joy. The pre and post-activity feedback was collected and analyzed over two parameters namely Impression of the lecture and Boredom period. The post-analysis has shown a noteworthy rise in parameters like the Impression of lecture which implicitly states a 52 percentage increase in interactive lecturing and secondly, the Boredom period which has reduced by 67 percentage. Students’ Perception: Coffee Shop as Joyful Learning Space in Improving English Speaking Skill

Learning English requires a special condition so that the learners can learn English, especially speaking skill, without anxiety. For that reason, preparing a comfortable place is essential for making the learners motivated to learn or at least to make them like English. This study attempts to explore the students of the customers in a coffee shop to learn English informally. It took 4 respondents of the coffee shop, at Djuw Cafe, selected by purposive sampling with the criteria as the loyal customers who very often come to the coffee shop. They were interview unintentionally with unstructured interview and observation by the researcher. The interview was also done with the owner of the coffee shop. These sources of data then interpreted and classified into the domain with the themes based on the semantic meanings. These themes then were analyzed and interpreted, and finally drawn the inferences for conclusion. It was found that the most essential factor that makes the respondents highly motivated to learn English is the listening of English songs. Secondly, they are motivated to enjoy learning English through the written English expressions that are decorated on the walls. Therefore, making the learners motivated to learn English, it requires a comfortable place with a specific design of the place with English songs and some written English expression for the decoration on the wall.
