MAKNA MANTRA PATTUIK TAU GULA BERDASARKAN PEMBACAAN HEURISTIK PADA TRADISI MASYARAKAT MAKASSAR DI DESA BORONGTALA KABUPATEN JENEPONTO (TINJAUAN SEMIOTIKA RIFFATERRE)

This study aims to describe the meaning of Mantra Pattuik Tau Gula of Makassar Community Tradition in Borongtala Village, Jeneponto Regency based on heuristic reading. The type and design of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data in this study is the meaning of the pattuik tau gula mantra which is the primary data used in the treatment process based on informants about the meaning of the Pattuik Tau Gula Mantra. The results of this study found that there are nine pattuik tau gula therapy mantras including four pattuik tau gula therapy mantras (wet), four pattuik tau gula therapy mantras (dry) and one pattuik tau gula wound mantra. In the heuristic reading, some pattuik tau gula therapy mantras have different meanings, but there are also some pattuik tau gula mantras that have the same meaning and words when interpreted word by word and sentence by sentence. Overall, the meanings contained in the nine pattuik tau gula therapy mantras describe: requests for healing, expulsion of evil creatures and protection to Allah Swt.

THE ROLE OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT CADRES IN EFFORTS TO PREVENT STUNTING

Backround: The existence of village development cadres is 
 expected to be the spearhead in efforts to control and prevent stunting, as is done by Jeneponto Regency which targets a 19% reduction in stunting prevalence from 48.8% in 2018 to 2023.
 Objective: This study aims to analyze the role of Human Development Cadres (KPM) in stunting prevention efforts in Jeneponto Regency, Indonesia, and analyze changes in stunting prevalence before and after the existence of KPM. 
 Method: The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach, involving KPM as the main informant. 
 Result: The results show that the majority of KPM have carried out their duties, including socializing the stunting prevention convergence policy, collecting data on 1,000 HPK household targets, monitoring stunting prevention services, and coordinating with various parties. Despite this, there are still some KPM who have not fully carried out their duties. In addition, the stunting prevalence data in Jeneponto District shows a decrease from 2019 to 2021, but is still high when compared to the stunting rates at the provincial and national levels. 
 Conclusion: The majority of KPM have been effective in monitoring nutrition deficiency prevention services for 1,000 targeted HPK households in Jeneponto Regency. Although the prevalence of nutrition deficiency decreased to 37.9% in 2021 from 41.11% in 2019, it remains high compared to the national average. The presence of KPM is expected to aid efforts in reducing nutrition deficiency with a focus on data validation and activity planning at the village level.

The Intention to Use of a New Mobile Apps: A Case from Customers of an Indonesian Electrity Company

Mobile apps are now an integral part of our daily life which brought quite significant changes in consumer behavior. Therefore, the development of electronic service quality becomes a crucial factor to consider in determining whether digital transformation affects customer satisfaction. PT PLN (Persero), the Indonesian Electricity Company launched their new mobile apps in 2022 with the objective to provide better customer engagement and service. New PLN Mobile is an application used by PT PLN (Persero) to facilitate customers in enjoying every service provided by the company. This study integrates constructs from the mobile-technology acceptance model (M-TAM) and unified theory of acceptance and use of technology model (UTAUT) into a new theoretical model and tests them to a one of rural regions in Indonesia. The study was conducted by using a structured questionnaire to collect data from 566 respondens of customers of PT PLN (Persero) PLN ULP Jeneponto. The research model was assessed using the partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM) methodology, facilitated by the Smart PLS software to provide insights into the factors that determine the acceptance of technology, which can explain user behavior. The analysis results are expected to identify the factors of customer readiness in adopting the New PLN Mobile electronic service in Jeneponto Regency. The results revealed significant relationships for all of the hypotheses. Mobile Usefulness to Intention to Use (H1), Mobile Ease of Use to Intention to Use (H2), Social Influence to Intention to Use (H3), Facilitating Condition to Intention to Use (H4) and Intention to Use to Actual Use (H5) showed t-stat values respectively, surpassing the standard test value. In the results, it can also be observed that the most significant factor influencing Intention to Use is Facilitating Condition.

The Coffee Shop Functions as Facilities, Pattern of Interaction and Social Intervention in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia

This study aims to determine the process of changing the function of a coffee shop as a facility and pattern of social interaction and determine the change in the meaning of a coffee shop as a social intervention. This type of research is a case study research because this research is specific by using a qualitative descriptive approach. The purposive sampling technique carries out the determination of informants. This type of research also uses a naturalistic (qualitative) paradigm approach to analyze and construct changes in the meaning of coffee shops as a means of social interaction and intervention patterns in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi. The writer chose this location with the consideration that Jeneponto Regency has a heterogeneous population. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, which focused on the selection, simplification, abstraction and transformation of rough data from field notes, followed by data presentation and concluding. The results of this study indicate that the change in the function of a coffee shop into a means and pattern of social interaction and intervention is marked by the development of simple facilities into public spaces equipped with facilities and information such as television, newspapers, and the internet networks. To meet the needs and satisfaction of visitors. As facilities, pattern of interaction and social intervention as a unifier in association without distinction of race, religion and so on, in solving problems, both formally and informally.

Pengaruh Pendapatan Terhadap Tingkat Kesejahteraan Petambak Garam Di Desa Arungkeke Kabupaten Jeneponto

Prosperity is something that is hoped for by all levels of society because community or household inequality can be interpreted as a poor community or household. One important factor of welfare is income. The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine whether income has a positive effect on the level of welfare of salt farmer households in Arungkeke village, Arungkeke subdistrict, Jeneponto regency. This research design method is a survey method using a qualitative and quantitative approach where the unit studied is salt farmers. The influence of income on the level of welfare has a positive effect. To achieve prosperity, one of the factors is income.

The Effect of Work Ethics and Competence on Employee Performance at the Turatea District Office, Jeneponto Regency

Using a bivariate quantitative research approach, this paper aims to specify the effect of work ethics and competence on employee performance at the Turatea District Office, Jeneponto Regency, both singly and together. The population in this study wereall employees of Turatea District Office, Jeneponto Regency—a total of 33 people consisting of permanent employees and contract employees. A total sampling technique was used, where the entire population is sampled. The analytical technique used to test the hypothesis is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) work ethics has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and (3) work ethics and competence simultaneously affect employee performance, at the Turatea District Office, Jeneponto Regency.

Power Sharing of Political Position in Jeneponto Regency

This study aims to explore in-depth, discuss, and provide a detailed description of power distribution in political positions in Jeneponto. The power-sharing of political position in Jeneponto Regency can be seen from several aspects, first, power-sharing is intended to create a balance, harmony, and political order by adhering to the principle of checks and balances. Second, it anticipates the occurrence of power practices dominated by specific groups or factions. Third, it is a political strategy to acquire power and fight for the rights and interests of the people. This research is qualitative and descriptive in nature. The informants of this study were government officials, political party leaders, general election commission commissioners, and registered voters selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion. The results of the study indicate that (1) an imbalance was observed in the distribution of political power, which has the potential to create political imbalance, disharmony, and division. (2) There is a tendency for power distribution to be dominated by specific groups or factions. (3) There is still the practice of oligarchy driven by political elites who prioritize their interests and their groups while neglecting or disregarding the interests of others and the general public.

Culture of Siri' Na Pacce As Part of Legal Awareness of the Bugis-Makassar Community

This research provides a description of the main values of the Siri’ na Pacce culture of the Bugis-Makassar community and investigates the factors contained in the Siri’ na Pacce values that shape the legal awareness of the Bugis-Makassar community. The study includes normative and empirical legal research, using a sociological jurisprudence approach. The flow of sociological jurisprudence requires that in the process of forming legal reforms it must pay attention to public awareness and also pay attention to legal values of the society. Based on the research objectives of this law are descriptive legal research, explicative legal research, and prescriptive legal research. The value of Siri’ na Pesse (in Bugis terminology) or Siri’ na Pacce (in Makassar terminology) in Bugis-Makassarese society teaches about decency in the form of recommendations, prohibitions, rights and obligations that dominate human actions to protect and defend their honor. Three research locations inhabited by Bugis and Makassarese people in South Sulawesi Province were selected for the study, namely Bone Regency, Gowa Regency, and Jeneponto Regency. The results of the study show that the existence of Siri’ na Pacce as an abstract value that lives in the midst of Bugis-Makassarese society, this cultural value undergoes a process of concretization in the form of the Pangngaderreng system (legal system) which is then actualized into the five legal norms contained in Pangngaderreng (Ade, Talk, Wari, Rapang, and Sara). Enforcement of these norms is in the framework of realizing the objectives of law, namely justice, legal certainty, and expediency. The realization of the three legal objectives makes the values of Siri’ na Pacce even stronger in the eyes of the community, which is seen as a form of legal awareness.

PEMERIKSAAN INDEKS ERITROSIT PADA PETANI YANG MENGGUNAKAN PESTISIDA

Pesticides are chemicals that are often used in agriculture to protect plants. Excessive use of pesticides and not in accordance with the rules will have an impact on human health, namely damaging the form of abnormalities in blood profiles such as MCV, MCH, and MCHC values. This study aims to determine the value of erythrocyte index in farmers who use pesticides. The sampling technique in this study was random sampling. The method used is Hematology Analysis with Hematology Analyzer tools and the object of research is the blood samples of farmers in Palajau Village, Arungkeke District, Jeneponto Regency. The results of research conducted on 10 samples showed that 1 sample had decreased MCV and MCH values of 79 fL and 26 pg, while the other 9 samples had normal average values of 83.33 fL and 28.55 pg. The MCHC value of the 10 samples had an average value of 34.1%. Thus, it can be concluded that the examination of erythrocyte index values in farmers who use pesticides is included in the normal category.

Analysis of the Healthy Family Index: The Impact of Implementing the Healthy Indonesia Program with Family Approach

The Healthy Indonesia Program with Family Approach (PIS-PK) is a primary initiative enforced by the current government to enhance the quality of family life and public health. In this context, the assessment of the Healthy Family Index (IKS) is essential for implementing appropriate interventions and efforts to prevent chronic diseases at the family level. Measurement indicators of IKS include healthy, pre-healthy, and unhealthy family categories. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze IKS based on PIS-PK in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi in Indonesia. A quantitative design with an analytical survey was used to measure IKS across the entire family population in the Jeneponto Regency Health Center working area, totaling 1,321 households. The total sampling method was applied, and data from 12 healthy family indicators were evaluated following the IKS formula. The results showed that the average IKS value ranged from 0.59 to 0.77, representing unhealthy, pre-healthy, and healthy family, which constituted 12%, 54.35%, and 33.5% of the examined population, respectively. High numbers of family fell in the pre-healthy and unhealthy categories due to limited participation in family planning program (55.11%), non-utilization of official facilities for childbirth (11.65%), lack of exclusive breastfeeding practices over 7–23 months (10.14%), and absence of weight monitoring at Posyandu (5.59%). Consequently, integrated efforts and cross-sectoral engagement are crucial for improving IKS status.

THE INFLUENCE OF EDUCATION ABOUT STUNTING ON MOTHER'S KNOWLEDGE

Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by a lack of nutritional intake in children over a long period which can result in growth disorders in children. Education can increase parents' knowledge and attitudes in providing children with nutrition so that it can become an alternative intervention to improve health behavior in dealing with stunting. In the research area, there are 71 stunted children. This research aims to determine the effect of education about stunting on mothers' knowledge in Pallantikang village, Jeneponto Regency. This research is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pre-post test design approach and using the Wilcoxon test. In this research design, before the intervention is given, a pre-test is first given which aims to assess the mother's knowledge about stunting. After the intervention is given, a post-test will be given. The intervention that will be carried out in this research is education about stunting using lecture methods and poster media. The results of the research show the p-value = 0.000 and the median pre-test is 9.00 while the post-test value is 13.00. From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is an influence of education about stunting on the knowledge of mothers in Pallantikang Village, Jeneponto district, before and after being given education about stunting. Future research needs to examine further the behavior of mothers in providing nutrition for toddlers after receiving nutrition education. Providing health education through poster media can increase knowledge and can be a good health education technique for the community.

The Practice Of Zakat Worship As An Application Of Islamic Religious Education To The Fisherman Community Of Harapan Island In Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi

This research describes the practice of Zakat as an application of Islamic religious education to the fishermen community of Harapan Island. The method used to get data is structured interviews. The description uses theological and sociological approaches. The results reveal theoretically, the people of Harapan Island are not proficient in explaining the meaning of Zakat worship, even though their practice is inversely proportional. They are a religiously devout society, trying to fulfill all the obligations ordered by Allah. That is proven by continuing to pay Fitrah Zakat and assets Zakat even though they are in a mediocre state. Education with the practice of Zakat worship is to give an example first, then inform the family of the benefits according to religion, health, and social when fulfilling obligations, especially the three Zakat services. Furthermore, advise family members if they don't fulfill it and provide training according to their respective abilities.

Successful treatment of tuberculosis using a collaborative approach between family and health workers.

The optimization efforts of promotion, prevention, provision of preventive treatment, and infection control are strategies to overcome tuberculosis in Indonesia for the period 2020-2024. This research aims to analyze the effects of a collaborative model between health workers and family support to improve the success of treating patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. This is an experimental research using a one-group pre and post-test design. The study samples were TB patients treated at Bainamu and Bontosunggu Public Health Centers, Jeneponto Regency, from June 2021 to January 2022. Using McNemar's statistical test, the data analysis was conducted to determine the differences in patient behavior on factors that support and inhibit the recovery. The results showed that the collaborative model has an impact on eating, healthy living, and spiritual behaviors that support the recovery and cure rate of TB patients.

APPLICATION OF RATION FORMULATION BASED ON AGRICULTURAL WASTE AS GOAT COMPLETE FEEDING IN KALIMPORO VILLAGE, JENEPONTO REGENCY

This community service was carried out in Kalimporo Village, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, and aimed to increase farmers' knowledge, especially the Kalimporo Village farmers group, regarding the utilization and processing of agricultural waste into complete feed for livestock. Community Service was held on Sunday, 4th June 2023 in Kalimporo Village, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, attended by 25 out of 30 farmers (83.3%). The method used was discourse and plot demonstration. The results of this community service were the use of several types of agricultural waste such as bran, green bean skin, corn cobs, lamtoro, cassava, copra meal, and pollard available around the village to be formulated into complete feed with added minerals and salt. The ration was tested in the laboratory and showed good quality with a crude protein content of 12.13%. The feed was highly palatable when given to the goats. Ration based on agricultural waste can be used as a complete feed for goats with economic value so as to reduce livestock production costs and improve the farmers' well-being in Kalimporo Village, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi.

Analysis of Rate Infiltration in Community Forest (HKm) Marayoka, Kapita, and Gunung silanu District

This research aims to determine infiltration rate in Marayoka Community Forest, Kapita Community Forest, and Gunung Silanu Community Forest in Jeneponto Regency. This research began in February until to April 2021 for three months. The data collection was done by purposive sampling, taking into account the percentage of the cover ground on the Paine method, after which infiltration measurements were made at the Marayoka Community Forest, Kapita Community Forest, and Gunung Silanu Community Forest. Also, take soil samples to analyze permeability, texture, porosity, organic matter and weight of content in laboratory. The results showed that the rate of highest infiltration rate at Marayoka Community Forest was included in the very fast category, while the lowest infiltration rate outside the Marayoka Community Forest area was included in the medium fast category. This difference is influenced by the physical properties of the soil and the ground.

Village Institutions in Sustainable Village Development

The establishment of a sustainable village development policy in 2020 has changed the role of village development to become a pillar of sustainable national development. The success of implementing sustainable development in villages is the hope of the government to accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals at the national level. The key to success in changing the development order in the village lies in adaptive village institutions. This research aims to describe and analyze existing village institutions in Jeneponto Regency in carrying out sustainable village development, using qualitative methods. Sources of research data come from informant information, results of document reviews and various articles related to the research topic. Each data obtained was triangulated and analyzed before being presented in narrative and table form. From the research that has been done, it is known that village institutions in implementing sustainable village development still have deficiencies. Existing formal policies are not in line with the concept of sustainable village development, which shows benefits and reduces the impact of development. Development activities in the development plan have not supported the achievement of sustainable village development. The organizational structure is not directly proportional to the burden of achieving sustainable Village development goals, there is still a lack of human resource capacity, and village partnerships do not create sustainable benefits in improving the village economy

Analysis of the correlation between critical thinking and metacognitive skills of senior high school students in biology Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia

There is a need to map the connection between critical thinking and metacognitive skills of high school students so that educators can determine learning steps to help students obtain optimal learning outcomes and 21st-century skills. The research objective is to Examine the relationship between high school biology students' metacognitive abilities and critical thinking education. It is a quantitative-correlational study. The research sample was 230 grade XI students pursuing science specialization obtained by purposive random sampling from Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research instrument used is an examination formatted as an essay that has been confirmed by professionals. The research data is the value of critical thinking and metacognitive skills from the results of taking tests in the form of essays. The method of data analysis was used through linear regression analysis using SPSS 23 for Windows. The study's findings indicate a strong correlation between critical thinking and metacognitive abilities of high school students in biology education with a significance value of 0.000 (p ˂ 0.05). It can be seen that critical thinking skills contribute 68.6% to students' metacognitive skills. Therefore, this research finds that there is a substantial correlation between high school biology students' metacognitive abilities and critical thinking. Teachers can use the research findings to identify instructional strategies that foster critical thinking in order to help students become more independent and metacognitive.

The Impact of Modern Markets on Traders' Income in Traditional Markets

Traditional markets are currently in the process of buying and selling tend to decline when compared to times when there have not been many modern markets that have the potential to kill the economic process of traditional markets. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of modern markets in the sustainability of traditional markets and analyze the existence of modern markets in improving the trading economy in traditional markets. The sampling technique in this study is purposive. The number of respondents in the study was 67. This study used quantitative research methods. The data analysis model used simple linear regression test, classical assumption test and hypothesis test processed with SPSS. The source of data in this study is the results of questionnaires in the form of respondents' responses containing their opinions or assessments of the influence of the existence of modern markets. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it shows a t value calculated for the existence of a modern market of 4.659 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.050, which means that the variable of the existence of the modern market has a positive and significant effect on the continuity of the traditional market of Pasar Setiabudi SB Group. The results of the coefficient of determination test show that the value of R2 (R Square) is 0.250 which means that the variable of the existence of modern markets in Jeneponto Regency affects the variable of traditional market continuity by 25%.
