Factors Affecting Visual Inspection Examination of Acetic Acid (IVA) in Couples of Childbearing Age in the Working Area of UPT. Puskesmas Mandala Medan Year 2024

Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid (IVA) is an early detection of cervical cancer, the decline in IVA Test examinations in 2022 is from 154 people to 61 people in January to June 2023, where in half a year in 2023 the achievement of IVA Test examinations does not reach 50% of IVA examinations Test in 2022. The aim of the research is to analyze the factors that influence the visual inspection of acetic acid (VIA) in couples of childbearing age in the work area of UPT.Puskesmas Mandala Medan in 2023. This research is a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The population was 259 people and the sample was 972 people. Quantitative data analysis using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression and qualitative data analysis. The results of this study show that 38 people did not carry out IVA examinations with the chi-square test results showing the variables age, education, employment, knowledge, attitudes, culture and husband's support. The results of the multiple logistic regression test show that the knowledge variable has the most influence on visual inspection of acetic acid in women of childbearing age. The conclusion of this research is that there is an influence of age, education, work, knowledge, attitudes, culture and husband's support with visual inspection of acetic acid (IVA) on couples of childbearing age in the working area of UPT. Mandala Health Center Medan in 2023. It is recommended that UPT Mandala Health Center increase participation in providing training to health workers and be able to promote the VIA examination program and should involve husbands so that they can be enthusiastic in the VIA examination program and it is better for door to door health workers in providing VIA education

Increasing knowledge and early detection of cervical cancer in women of childbearing age through IVA examination

Cervical cancer is one of the cancers that has a high prevalence in women, especially in childbearing age. Early detection through Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid (IVA) is an effective method to reduce the incidence and mortality rate due to cervical cancer. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to increase the knowledge of women of childbearing age about the importance of early detection of cervical cancer and facilitate IVA examinations for them. The methods used include health counseling through interactive lectures, distribution of educational materials, and the implementation of free IVA examinations. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge about cervical cancer and the importance of early detection. In addition, enthusiasm and participation in IVA examinations increased, with more than 80% of participants attending undergoing examinations. This activity is expected to contribute to reducing the incidence of cervical cancer through preventive and educational efforts. A continuation of this program is the establishment of support groups in the community that will continue to promote reproductive health and early detection of cancer.

DIFFERENCES IN THE ATTITUDES OF FERTILE AGE WOMEN TOWARDS IVA EXAMINATION BEFORE AND AFTER COUNSELING ABOUT CERVICAL CANCER IN THE WORK AREA OF THE KEPANJEN PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER

Background: Cervical cancer is a public health problem both in the world and in Indonesia. Cervical cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death in women after breast cancer and lung cancer. Cervical cancer is cancer of the cervix, which is the area of the female reproductive organs which is the entrance to the uterus, which is located between the uterus and the vagina. Cervical cancer is attacks women of productive age aged 35-50 years. This study aims to determine the differences in the attitudes of women of childbearing age before and after being given counseling about cervical cancer. Subjects and Methods: The study used the pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design method. The study was conducted on April 1-30, 2024 with a research sample of 100 people using the purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using the Sign Test processed with SPSS software version 26. Results: The test results show a p-value of 0.000 where the p-value ≤ 0.05, so it can be stated that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted Conclusion: There are differences in the attitudes of women of childbearing age towards IVA examinations before and after being given counseling about cervical cancer. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that women of childbearing age can pay attention to reproductive health by conducting IVA examinations as a prevention of cervical cancer

DIFFERENCES IN CHANGES IN KNOWLEDGE OF WOMEN ABOUT EARLY DETECTION OF CERVICAL CANCER BETWEEN USING PRESENTATION MEDIA COUNSELING AND LEAFLET COUNSELING

Background: Encouraging early detection and prompt treatment of precancerous lesions is the key to preventing cervical cancer in women who are fertile. IVA examinations are used to detect precancerous lesions early on. Thus far, both nationally and at Mojo Health Center, the IVA examination has been achieved. Women of reproductive age may not be as aware of early diagnosis of precancerous lesions as they should be, which could contribute to the low IVA examination achievement. Due to a lack of understanding regarding the early diagnosis of precancerous lesions, women of reproductive age have low awareness. Method: A lecture and leafleting approach were used to conduct this health counseling. This kind of study uses a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest one group design, which is experimental in nature. carried out in Surabaya City at the Mojo Health Center. A straightforward random sampling methodology was used to choose the sample of 84 WUS, who were then split into two groups: the treatment group, which received an intervention counseling lecture style, and the control group, which received a leaflet intervention. A questionnaire was utilized to collect the data, and the Wilcoxon signed rank test was used to evaluate it. Independent Samples Test (p<0.05) and Wilcoxon signed Rank test. Results: The test results showing variations in both groups' knowledge levels produced the result p = 0.000 (p <0.05). P = 0.268 (p>0.05) was the outcome of the test to determine the value of differences in knowledge factors between the treatment group and the control group. Conclusion: There is no difference in WUS knowledge between the lecture method and leaflet media distribution when it comes to counseling, but there is a shift in the outcomes of WUS knowledge about early detection of cervical cancer before and after receiving counseling.

Health Promotion on the Behavior of Women of Childbearing Age in Early Detection Examinations for Cervical Cancer at Makassar City Health Centers

The Influence of Health Education on Women's Age Behavior in IVA Examinations in Early Detection of Cervical Cancer at Community Health Centers in Makassar. Currently, the coverage of early detection of cervical cancer is still very low, this is due to a lack of public knowledge and awareness to participate in early detection programs for cervical cancer. IVA examination is an early detection program for cervical cancer implemented by the government. The aim of this research was to determine the influence of health education on the behavior of women of childbearing age in early detection of cervical cancer at the IVA examination at the Community Health Center in Makassar. The research design used was a quasi-experimental pre-post design with a comparison group that attempted to reveal the effectiveness of the independent variable on the dependent variable by stretching the control group in addition to the experimental group with a sample size of 66 women of childbearing age. The results of the research show that health education influences the knowledge, attitudes and actions of women of childbearing age in IVA examinations at early detection of cervical cancer at Community Health Centers in Makassar, from the T-Test statistical test p sig = 0.000 < 0.05. Health education in IVA examinations in early detection of cervical cancer has the effect of increasing knowledge, attitudes and actions to be more positive, it is hoped that the authorized agencies can carry it out with a wider reach and better quality.

Factors Affecting The Interest Of Women Of Reproductive Age Regarding Visual Inspection Of Acetic Acid (IVA)

Reproductive health is a multidimensional state of physical, mental, and social well-being, covering all aspects of the reproductive system, functions, and processes. Cervical cancer is abnormal cell growth and development, which can lead to abnormal function of the reproductive organs and generally affects women of reproductive age, so the impact on the family is very significant. This study aims to determine the factors between the level of knowledge, access to information, and husband/family support with low Acetic Acid Visual Inspection (IVA) visits. This type of research is survey research with an analytical approach cross-sectional. The samples taken were 67 respondents obtained by the technique of purposive Sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data obtained is processed using a test Chi Square with a degree of significance (α) = 0.05. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the factors associated with the low number of IVA visits, namely the level of knowledge, access to information, and husband/family support. In the statistical test, the p-value is 0.000. The conclusions of WUS researchers who are married should always pay attention to their reproductive health, one of which is the IVA examination. Health workers would be more active in providing information to the public, especially to mothers, about IVA examination as an effort to prevent and treat cervical cancer as early as possible..

Based on a preliminary study conducted at the Deli Tua Health Center in 2023, there are 50 people who undergo IVA examination screening from a total of 100 women of childbearing age who visit the Deli Tua Health Center. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and motivation of WUS with IVA examination in the work area of the Old Deli Health Center. This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional study design. The population is 100 women of childbearing age who visit the Deli Tua Health Center from January to June 2023. The sampling technique is 50 people. Data analysis using Chi-Square test with confidence level (α=0.05). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and motivation of WUS with IVA examination in the working area of the Deli Tua Health Center in 2023 with a value of p=0.001 where p < α (0.05). Therefore, it is expected to be more active Women of childbearing age to increase Knowledge and Motivation carried out by Health workers and Women of childbearing age are expected to seek information about cervical health and early detection of cervical cancer in mass and print media.

Pengaruh Media Audiovisual terhadap Minat Ibu Usia Reproduktif Dalam Pemeriksaan Inspeksi Visual Asam Asetat (IVA)

Cervical cancer, which primarily affects women between the ages of 30 and 50, ranks as the second most lethal disease following breast cancer. This disease is correlated with engaging in unprotected sexual activity, individuals who smoke often, and individuals with compromised immune systems. The study revealed that a mere 30% of individuals diagnosed with cervical cancer are identified at an early stage. Individuals who have encountered cervical cancer typically present with an advanced stage of the disease. Efforts aimed at enhancing public awareness and engagement in IVA examinations are primarily facilitated by socialization and health education initiatives. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of audiovisual media on the level of interest among women of reproductive age in IVA screening. The research design employed for this study was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-post-test design. The study population consisted of women of reproductive age who had not undergone screening for IVA. A total of 50 moms were included in the study utilising a complete sampling technique. The study instrument employs a Likert scale for data collection. The Wilcoxon signed ranks test was conducted to examine the hypothesis, with a resulting ρ-value of 0.000, which is less than the predetermined significance level α of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of audiovisual media on the interest of women of reproductive age in IVA screening. The incorporation of novel digital technologies, such as audiovisual media, can be regarded as a strategy for promoting health, particularly in the context of cervical cancer screening.

Hubungan Rendahnya Pengetahuan Tentang Imunisasi Kanker Serviks Pada Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) Di RT 05 RW 02 Kelurahan Telaga Asih Bekasi Tahun 2023

Globocan data for 2020 recorded that the total cancer cases in Indonesia in 2020 reached 396,914 cases and the total deaths were 234,511 cases. Cervical cancer (cervix) ranks second with 36,633 cases or 9.2% of total cancer cases. One of the factors that contributes to the high incidence of cervical cancer in Indonesia is the lack of awareness and access to routine examinations and vaccinations. Cervical cancer is one of the cancers that can be prevented, namely by immunization with the HPV vaccine and early detection of cervical cancer with a Pap smear or IVA examination (visual inspection using acetic acid). The aim of this research is to analyze factors related to WUS knowledge about the low level of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) immunization in RT 05 RW 02, Telaga Asih Bekasi Village in 2023. The research method used is a cross sectional survey method. The population in this study was 50 female respondents of childbearing age in RT 05 RW 02. The sample was taken using a total sampling technique of 50 female respondents of childbearing age in RT 05 RW 02. Univariate analysis used frequency distribution and for bivariate tests used the Chi Square test. This research uses primary data from filling out questionnaires by respondents. Based on the results of the analysis of the 50 respondents, 31 people (62.0%) had the most good knowledge, 41 people aged 20-35 years (82.0%). There were 29 women whose parity was not at risk (58%), 29 people had at least high school education (58%), and 34 people got information sources electronically (68%). Variables related to knowledge are education and sources of information with a value of 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, variables that are not related are age and parity. It is hoped that this research will become a reference for increasing knowledge and an intensive approach to WUS. The results of this research can also be used as an opener to wider insight into midwifery and especially in the field of reproductive health.

Meningkatkan Minat Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) Untuk Melakukan Pemeriksaan IVA Melalui Pemberian Buku Saku

Cervical cancer is caused by HPV or Human Papilloma Virus. There are 32,469 cases per year of cervical cancer in Indonesia, with a mortality rate of 18,279 people. Efforts that can be made to increase WUS's interest in conducting IVA examinations are through health promotion activities about IVA examinations. Health promotion is one of the primary prevention that can be done to prevent cervical cancer. The primary prevention strategy that can be done is by providing health education about cervical cancer. The method chosen is to use a pocket book. Pocket books are educational information media with words that are easy to understand, illustration images that are in accordance with attractive designs so as to make WUS understand and understand material about cervical cancer. Pocket books can be taken home and read independently by WUS, so it will cause WUS interest in conducting IVA examinations.

Pemberdayaan Kesehatan Perempuan: Pemeriksaan IVA dan Daun Sirih untuk Keputihan

The number of cervical cancer sufferers in Indonesia continues to increase, so early detection is needed to prevent and treat cervical cancer through the IVA method. The aim of this community service activity is to empower women's health in preventing cervical cancer, especially through the implementation of IVA examinations and the use of betel leaves for vaginal discharge. The target of service activities is Women of Childbearing Age (WUS), with partners at the Karta Raharja Inpatient Health Center, West Tulang Bawang Regency. Activities are carried out through the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The preparation stage is carried out by conducting observations and interviews with partners. In the implementation stage, this is done through counseling about cervical cancer, education on maintaining reproductive health through betel leaves, and IVA examinations. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in participants' knowledge regarding understanding cervical cancer and reproductive health through the use of betel leaves for vaginal discharge. Apart from checking for cervical cancer, it was also discovered that no significant cases were found.

Faktor Yang Berhubungan dengan Pemanfaatan Deteksi Dini Kanker Serviks Metode IVA (Inspeksi Visual Asam Asetat) di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kedungmundu Kota Semarang

Background: VIA test is one of the early detection programs for cervical cancer in Semarang City. The usage of VIA is only 1.8% and only 42 WUS participated in the Kedungmundu Health Center in 2018.Objective: Objective of the study is to analyze the factors associated with the utilization of IVA examination aged 30-49th.Method: This study uses a quantitative method with a case control approach with 40 women of childbearing age participated IVA as cases and 80 women who have not participated IVA as controls.Results: factors associated to VIA test: fear (p = 0,0001; OR = 8,7; 95% CI = 3.67-20 87), Feeling Embarrassment (p = 0,0001; OR = 6.67; 95% CI = 2.87-15.48), family support (p = 0,0001; OR = 1.05; 95% CI = 0.01-1.38).Conclusion: fear, feeling embarrasement, family support are factors associated with participation in VIA test.

The MODIFICATION OF IVA TEST PROPS TO PERFORM CERVIX CANCER EARLY DETECTION SKILLS

Background: The competence area that must be had by midwives is clinical skills in midwifery practice on women's reproductive health and sexuality services where midwife graduates must be able to know early detection, complications, and problems of women's reproductive health and sexuality. Phantom which is commonly used in IVA examination practice in the laboratory uses phantom that cannot describe the results of the examination interpretations. The phantom used only teaches the use of speculum and cannot show Squamo-columnar junction (SCJ), so it is necessary to develop a tool that can be used to perform IVA tests that can show portio before and after acetic acid. Research Objective: modify and utilize phantoms that are no longer feasible in a new teaching tool for the IVA Test practicum and test the feasibility of the developed tools. Method: This research is a development research that produces products with the One Shot Case Study method. Results: From the 35 respondents who participated in the field trial, the total questionnaire score obtained was 6,949 with a total ideal maximum score of 7,350. The percentage of eligibility obtained is 95%. Conclusion : Modification of IVA test examination props is Very Feasible to be used as IVA test props to perform cervix cancer early detection skills in a comprehensive application-based obstetric laboratory. It is recommended for all PLP in Indonesia to be able to develop creative and innovative ideas and ideas in the laboratory in utilizing teaching aids that are no longer suitable for use into new tools that increase the use value and benefits to support learning in the laboratory

Edukasi Pemeriksaan Inspeksi Visual Asam Asetat (IVA) pada Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tanah Luas Kabupaten Aceh Utara

Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer affecting women worldwide. Prevention and screening are by far the most effective modalities for reducing health care burden and mortality from cervical cancer. In Indonesia, cervical cancer is the second largest cancer disease after breast cancer. Many women are still unable to detect cervical cancer at an early stage for various reasons. Personal, social, cultural and structural factors are the most important barriers to cervical cancer screening. The problem-solving method used is education through presentations about IVA examinations by distributing leaflets and posters and carrying out IVA examinations. When carrying out community service activities, there were 30 women of childbearing age who attended. Community service activities carried out for two days in the Tanah Luas Community Health Center Work Area, North Aceh Regency, there was an increase in the knowledge of the community service target audience regarding IVA Examination education, the pretest evaluation of targets who had good knowledge was 40% and in the posttest evaluation good knowledge was 90%. The entire target audience (30 WUS) actively participated in the IVA examination. It is important for health workers to continue to provide information and education about the importance of VIA examinations as an effort to detect cervical cancer early.

Handling Early Detection of Cervical Cancer on the Motivation of Women of Childbearing Age to Perform VIA Examinations in the Work Area of the Community Health Center

The incidence of cervical cancer in Indonesia in 2011 reached 100 per 100,000 population per year and the spread appears to be accumulating in Java and Bali. This figure is estimated to continue to increase by 25% in the next 10 years if preventive measures are not taken. Cervical cancer ranks second among all cancers in women with an incidence rate of 9.7 % and a death rate of 9.3% of all cancers in women in the world. Early detection of cervical cancer is an innovative breakthrough in health development to reduce mortality and morbidity due to cervical cancer. The aim is to determine the effect of health education regarding early detection of cervical ca on the motivation of women of childbearing age to undergo VIA examinations in the Antang Community Health Center working area. This type of research is research using an analytical survey method with a cross sectional study approach. With a population of 197 people and a sample size of 30 people with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using the Mc.Nemar Test. The results of the statistical test research on all respondents using the Mc. Nemar test obtained a p value of 0.000<p value 0.05. HO is rejected Ha is accepted, then there is an influence of Health Education regarding Early Detection of Cervical Ca on Women of Childbearing Age Carrying out IVA Examinations in the Antang Health Center Work Area.

The Impact of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) And Video on Women Adult Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) of IVA Examination

Introduction. The most common types of cancer among women adults are cervical cancer that can be prevented by doing IVA practice. One of the factors contributing to the low practice of women performing early detection through IVA is lack of knowledge. Action should be made to improve information through health promotion using various learning education combinations with technology and conventional methods with Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and creative videos. Objective. To explore the impact of innovative health education on women's adult knowledge, attitudes, and practice of IVA test examinations. Method. This research uses a quantitative quasi-experimental with a group pre-test and post-test design and divided into two intervention groups. Convenience sampling method was approached during two months of data collection from August-September 2023. A structured instrument was used to measure knowledge, attitudes, and practice (KAP). Result. The pre-test showed average knowledge value before the intervention was 1.95 and attitude was 0.45 and after the intervention, it was 9.80 and attitude 0.95, respectively. The statistical result showed a significant difference with a value of 0.000 (0.05). The practice of IVA test before was 5% and after the intervention was 90%. The FGD and video educational methods influence knowledge, attitudes, and practice of IVA tests. Discussion. The FGD and video educational methods influence knowledge, attitudes, and practice of IVA tests. There is a need to develop other educational methods combination between FGD and video to increase IVA test information therefore it will influence women adult interest in carrying out IVA tests as an effort to detect cervical cancer early.

Knowledge of Couples of Reproductive Age with Inspeculo Asam Asetat Examination (IVA)

Reproductive health is important for women, cervical cancer which often attacks women. It is a common phenomenon that women's awareness to check IVA screening is still low, this condition is caused by many women who still do not know about IVA screening. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of couples of childbearing age and IVA examination at the Kedamean Health Center, Gresik Regency. The research design used correlational analysis using a cross-sectional approach. The independent variable of knowledge and the dependent variable of IVA examination is the sampling technique. Simple Random Sampling sample of 52 respondents from 60 couples of childbearing age, place at the Kedamean Health Center, Gresik Regency, May 9-19 2022. Questionnaire sheet instrument. Data analysis using the Spearman test. The results showed that half of the 26 respondents (50%) had good knowledge of IVA examination and the majority of 31 respondents (59.6%) had IVA examination criteria. The results of the analysis obtained a value of ρvalue = 0.000 <α 0.05. This indicates that H1 is accepted, a relationship between the knowledge of couples of childbearing age and IVA examination at the Kedamean Health Center, Gresik Regency, with a value of (r) 0.739. Knowledge can underlie behavior change, as the IVA examination can be influenced by the mother's knowledge, the better the knowledge, the more willing the mother is to carry out the IVA examination.

Determinant Factors of Behavior of Women of Reproductive Age on Early Detection of Cervic Cancer

Introduction: Cervical cancer is the second most common problem in Indonesia with the main cause of death for women globally. Cervical cancer itself can be detected using the IVA examination method in women of reproductive age. Objective: Identify the determinants of the behavior of women of reproductive age towards screening for early detection of cervical cancer in Muara Kaman Ulu Village in 2023. Method: This research is a quantitative survey method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were women of reproductive age who met the inclusion criteria. The sample used was 85 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Results and Discussion: The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between age, attitude, knowledge, family support, and socio-culture on the behavior of early detection of cervical cancer with a p value < ? (0.05). Age, attitude, knowledge, family support and socio-culture are factors related to the behavior of women of childbearing age to carry out screening for early detection of cervical cancer. Conclusion: There is a relationship between age, attitude, knowledge, family support and socio-culture towards the behavior of women of reproductive age towards early detection of cervical cancer in Muara Kaman Ulu Village in 2023.

Screening And Education For Prevention Of Cervical Cancer At Kupu Health Center, Tegal District

Cervical cancer, or what is often referred to as cervical cancer, is one of the most common types of cancer in the gynecological cancer category throughout the world. Education about cervical cancer and the implementation of VIA examinations have a very important role in increasing public awareness of the importance of maintaining cervical health and encouraging early detection of cervical cancer disorders. This outreach activity provides accurate information about cervical cancer, how important it is to maintain cervical health, as well as factors that can influence the risk of developing cervical cancer. In addition, examination using the IVA method makes it possible to carry out an objective evaluation of the condition of each individual's cervix. By increasing public knowledge and understanding of the importance of cervical health, it can encourage the implementation of appropriate preventive measures, such as undergoing regular VIA examinations, avoiding risk factors that can increase the risk of cervical cancer, and supporting early detection efforts. Early detection of cervical cancer through IVA examination allows early identification of cervical disease, so that treatment can be started early to control and slow the progression of the disease. VIA counseling and examination in the context of cervical cancer prevention is a long-term investment in improving people's quality of life and reducing the burden of cervical cancer in society as a whole.
