UML IMPLEMENTATION IN WEB-BASED MONTHLY GARBAGE FEE SYSTEM OF GINTUNG KEBON HAMLET

Rukun Tetangga/Rukun Warga (RT/RW) is an institution formed through community deliberations at the local community level with the aim of preserving and nurturing values based on the spirit of mutual cooperation and familial bonds. One common issue in community environments is waste management. Therefore, waste management is not solely the exclusive responsibility of the government but requires extensive involvement from the community as a whole. The current technological advancements provide convenience in daily activities. In this rapid technological progress, the mobile device sector, also known as smartphones, is also impacted. By implementing the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method with a waterfall model, the results and analysis indicate the need for modeling to facilitate the design of the required system. The goal is to provide a modeling language that is independent of various programming languages and engineering processes. The creation of a web-based waste collection system aims to facilitate the residents of RT/RW in paying waste collection fees. It is hoped that this website can help streamline and make the payment process more effective.

Biomedical Waste Management at Sokponta Healthcare Facility in Benin

Biomedical Waste emanating from healthcare activities remains a major public health and environmental issue. The boom in world population saw a sharp rise in healthcare requirements and subsequent accumulation of Biomedical Waste in and around hospitals. The problem is much more pronounced in Africa, where proper disposal seems abstruse in many circles. This treatise highlights the management of biomedical waste at the Sokponta health center. Sokponta is a far-flung area located among the highlands of "Collines", one of the twelve (12) regions of Benin, a small West-African country bordering Nigeria. The outcome was affected through a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted from March 11 to May 11, 2024 in the Sokponta health facility. Incineration is the adopted method for biomedical waste treatment at Sopkonta. Our study hones in on the collection, handling, segregation, transportation and disposal of Biomedical Waste. Proper biomedical waste management at Sopkonta is elusive. There is a lot of room for improvement. More staff training on the subject wouldn't definitely go amiss. Respondents' smattering of knowledge was conspicuous. There was an urgent need to drill into staff new, more organized and well-structured strategies for sustainable and efficient biomedical waste management.

Ethanol-Based Transesterification of Rapeseed Oil with CaO Catalyst: Process Optimization and Validation Using Microalgal Lipids

Microalgal oil has been increasingly studied as a feedstock for biodiesel production through transesterification reactions using heterogeneous catalysts. This route offers several benefits, including catalyst reuse, ease of separation, and improved safety, while addressing environmental and technical issues associated with using homogeneous acids and bases. Most studies use methanol for the transesterification, and few studies have investigated the transesterification of microalgal oil using ethanol. Beyond the environmental benefits of microalgae compared to plant-based biomass, replacing methanol with bioethanol is advantageous due to its lower cost and reduced toxicity. If the emulsion issue between the produced biodiesel and ethanol is resolved, ethanol could be a more environmentally friendly alternative for green fuel production. This study evaluated various metal oxides as catalysts for the transesterification of rapeseed oil using ethanol as both reagent and solvent to improve miscibility. From catalyst screening, CaO showed the highest fatty acid ethyl esters yield and this catalyst was then tested at different reaction times in two systems (round-bottom flask and autoclave reactor) for the transesterification of both rapeseed and microalgal (Scenedesmus sp.) oil. The highest reaction yield was 86.0% for rapeseed oil and 81.3% for microalgal oil using 114:1 ethanol: oil molar ratio with CaO in an autoclave reactor. This work addresses the limited studies on ethanol in microalgal oil transesterification, demonstrating the effectiveness of CaO as a catalyst. It highlights the potential of ethanol as a greener, cost-effective alternative to methanol for biodiesel production.Graphical

Household Waste Management with Waste Bank in Stunting Area at Puskesmas Ambacang, Padang City

Household waste management is an important environmental and public health issue, especially in areas with high stunting rates, where overall community health can be compromised due to poor sanitation practices. This study explores the implementation of a waste bank system in stunting-prone areas in the working area of the Ambacang community health centre in Padang city. Waste banks function as a community-based approach to managing household waste by encouraging residents to separate and store recyclable materials in exchange for financial benefits. It also aims not only to reduce environmental pollution but also to empower local residents economically and improve public health. This service examines the effectiveness of waste banks in changing household waste management behaviour, their contribution to reducing health risks associated with waste mismanagement and their potential to alleviate stunting through improved environmental sanitation. The waste bank model encourages greater community involvement in waste segregation and recycling thus contributing to a cleaner living environment.

Impact of gas flaring on acute respiratory distress among pregnant women and newborn babies in Delta State Central Senatorial District, Nigeria

Introduction: Gas flaring is a vital environmental issue that has a negative influence on health of population that host natural gases and oil wells. Exacerbated risk of abnormal outcomes for pregnant women and newborn babies are of great concern in maternal and child health. The researchers aimed to examine how gas flaring impact acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) in women that were pregnant and newborn babies. Materials and methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey involving 483 pregnant women of reproductive age, antenatal caregivers and healthcare professionals at health facilities in Delta State Central Senatorial District. Using a multi-stage random sampling technique, a structured survey questionnaire was used to collect respondents’ RDS experiences and that of their new borne. Data were statistically analysed with the use of SPSS. Significant level was considered at P<0.05 Results: Among the 326 children recruited, 205 (42.4%) had experienced respiratory distress. Of the 483 women, 54% suffered from respiratory disease and 33% of the children had been admitted for respiratory distress on a weekly basis. While the age, educational level, gender, and marital status of women were not significant statistically with having children experiencing RDS, bearing children was statistically significant (P<0.001). Health professional reported that developing severe lung infection, release of black carbon and asthma sufferers were major risk factors to RDS. Conclusion: Findings showed that there was an increased prevalence of RDS among the study sub-population. RDS contributes more to cardiovascular disease and diabetes, hence it is important to address this public health issue

Research on Ecological Environment Monitoring and Protection Applications Based on Remote Sensing Technology

As global ecological and environmental issues become increasingly severe, remote sensing technology, as an effective monitoring tool, plays a crucial role in ecological environment monitoring and protection. Remote sensing technology can provide large-scale, high-resolution data, supporting a wide range of applications such as ecosystem health assessment, land use/land cover change monitoring, biodiversity conservation, water resource management, pollution monitoring, and climate change monitoring. This paper reviews the application progress of remote sensing technology in ecological environment protection, analyzes the challenges and development trends it faces, and discusses potential directions for future research.

Towards Sustainable Municipal Solid Waste Management: An SDG-Based Sustainability Assessment Methodology for Innovations in Sub-Saharan Africa

In sub-Saharan Africa, municipal solid waste management faces significant challenges, including inadequate infrastructure, increasing waste generation, and limited resources, leading to severe environmental and public health issues. Innovations in waste management are essential to address these pressing problems, as they can enhance efficiency, reduce pollution, and promote sustainable practices while fostering sustainable development. To select sustainable and contextually relevant solutions, it is vital to investigate their potential sustainability impacts based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) beforehand and to involve local stakeholders in the innovation process. Besides, engaging stakeholders increases community buy-in and fosters collaboration, leading to more effective and sustainable outcomes. This paper develops and applies a sustainability assessment methodology for innovations in municipal solid waste management systems in sub-Saharan Africa, with a case study in Ethiopia. The proposed methodology emphasizes the importance of involving local stakeholders in the SDG-based indicator assessment and offers suggestions for a data collection strategy. The case study on a composting process in Bishoftu Town demonstrates that stakeholder participation in selecting innovations positively influences the outcomes. However, the analysis indicates mixed effects of the innovation in the three sustainability dimensions, highlighting areas for optimization. Consequently, the presented method can support the innovation process of municipal solid waste management systems, fostering sustainable municipal development.

Long-Term Stability and Osteogenic Activity of Recycled Polysulfone-Calcium Silicate Bone Implants In Vitro

Environmental protection issues have received widespread attention, making material recycling increasingly important. The upcycling of polysulfone (PSF) medical waste, recognized as a high-performance plastic with excellent mechanical properties, deserves promotion. While PSF is suitable for use as an orthopedic implant material, such as internal fixation, its osteogenesis capabilities must be enhanced. Mechanical stability, particularly over the long term, is a significant concern for bone implants in load-bearing applications. This study recycled PSF medical waste to create bone composites by incorporating osteogenic calcium silicate (CaSi) at three different contents: 10%, 20%, and 30%. We evaluated the phase, morphology, weight loss, and three-point bending strength of the PSF-based composites after they were soaked in dynamic simulated body fluid (SBF) at pH levels of 7.4 and 5.0 for up to 12 months. Human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) were utilized to assess the osteogenic activity of these composites. Our findings revealed that, while the bending strength of PSF-based composites declined with prolonged exposure to SBF, the dissolution of CaSi particles led to a manageable weight loss of about 4% after 12 months, regardless of pH 7.4 or 5.0. Importantly, the incorporation of CaSi into the PSF matrix exhibited a positive effect on the attachment and proliferation of hMSCs. The levels of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and calcium deposits directly correlated with the CaSi content, indicating superior osteogenic activity. Considering biostability and osteogenic ability, the 20% CaSi-PSF composite demonstrated promise as a candidate for load-bearing implant applications.

Tandem Reaction on Ru/Cu-CHA Catalysts for Ammonia Elimination with Enhanced Activity and Selectivity.

Ammonia emissions from vehicles and power plants cause severe environmental issues, including haze pollution and nitrogen deposition. Selective catalytic oxidation (SCO) is a promising technology for ammonia abatement, but current catalysts often struggle with insufficient activity and poor nitrogen selectivity, leading to the formation of secondary pollutants. In this study, we developed a bifunctional Ru/Cu-CHA zeolite catalyst for ammonia oxidation, incorporating both SCO sites (Ru) and selective catalytic reduction sites (SCR, Cu). Various characterizations, including HAADF-STEM, XAFS, and H2-TPR, revealed that Cu2+ cations are dispersed within the CHA zeolite, while RuOx clusters and nanoparticles are present both inside and on the surface of the zeolite. Operando DRIFTS-MS, in situ Raman spectroscopy, and DFT calculations confirmed that NH3 adsorbed on Cu2+ Lewis acid sites efficiently reduced RuO2 with a lower energy barrier, significantly enhancing the low-temperature activity of the Ru/Cu-CHA catalyst. Additionally, Cu2+ cations further facilitated the elimination of byproducts (NOx) via the tandem SCR reaction, thus greatly improving the nitrogen selectivity. This synergistic effect contributed to high catalytic activity (>94% at 200 °C) and excellent nitrogen selectivity (>90% even at high temperatures above 325 °C) for Ru2.5/Cu-CHA during practical ammonia elimination in the presence of NOx and water vapor.

Numerical Simulation and Optimization of Outdoor Wind Environment in High-Rise Buildings Zone of Xuzhou City

High-rise developments frequently exert adverse impacts on the outdoor wind environment, leading to a deterioration in the overall quality of urban surroundings and a reduction in the comfort levels of residents. This study systematically investigates typical high-rise settlements in Xuzhou City and proposes optimization strategies to address wind environment issues through an in-depth analysis of building planning parameters. Utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, the research identifies key wind-related challenges associated with high-rise buildings in representative settlements. The study comprehensively examines the effects of building height, width, orientation, spacing, and layout on the outdoor wind field, progressing from individual building units to clusters. Based on these findings, optimization strategies are formulated and validated through CFD simulations conducted on a representative high-rise settlement in Xuzhou. The results reveal that typical high-rise buildings in Xuzhou exhibit a height of 54 m, a width of 48 m, and an orientation ranging from 15° to 30° southeast. The front-to-rear building spacing is approximately 1.44 times the building height, with an additional 15 m spacing from mountain walls. Optimal wind conditions are achieved with a center-vacant building layout. The optimization of building form, spacing, and orientation substantially improves the outdoor wind environment by alleviating stagnant wind zones and reducing wind pressure differentials between the building fronts and rears, thereby enhancing the comfort of residents. This study provides a valuable reference for the planning and design of high-rise settlements, contributing to an improvement in urban environmental quality and the enhancement of livability.

Role of Novel Chlorella vulgaris SSAU8 in Improving the Soil Health Under Induced Drought Stress.

The severe climate change has caused a drastic water level disparity around the globe, which eventually has been one of the biggest problems of this era related to land degradation. This has caused the multidimensional impact on ecology, the environment, and their components. Algae, one of the ancient micro-engineers, are involved in the functioning of soil microcosm. Therefore, this study has utilized a novel alga, Chlorella vulgarisSSAU8 to observe the impact of low water potential induced by PEG-6000 (polyethylene glycol). The study has utilized the UV-Vis spectrophotometer to explore the nature of cyanobacteria by examining biomass and pigment concentrations. The assessment also includes the photosystem response, which was recorded by the Dual-modulation kinetic fluorometer FL3500/F (PSI, Brno, Czech Republic, version 3.7.0.1). The effect of PEG-6000-induced drought was seen to inhibit growth and biomass synthesis at > 30gL-1 concentration. It was also observed that the microbe could easily shuffle its photosystem behavior to nullify the effect of high PEG-6000 concentration, which shows the potential of the microbe in the water-deficient area and can be an important aspect to enhance soil fertility. Non-photochemical quenching and heat dissipation play a crucial role in cyanobacteria tolerating drought conditions. So, overall, this study thoroughly explores the behavior of Chlorella vulgarisSSAU8 in artificial drought stress and paves a way to combat one of the major environmental issues of the current era.

Defects Calculation and Accelerated Interfacial Charge Transfer in a Photoactive MOF-Based Heterojunction.

Photocatalytic hydrogen production is currently considered a clean and sustainable route to meet the energy and environmental issues. Among, heterojunction photocatalysts have been developed to improve their photocatalytic efficiency. Defect engineering of heterojunction photocatalysts is attractive due to it can perform as electron trap and change the band structure to optimize the interfacial separation rate of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. Here, the MOF-based heterojunction photocatalysts with theoretically high reduction and oxidation abilities are successfully synthesized, denoted ZrO2/Pt/Zr-MOF-X, with tuned linker defectivity through an in situ electrochemical route. The defectivity are rationally calculated from the TG and 1H NMR results. A positive correlation is found between the defectivity and photocatalytic activity, and ZrO2/Pt/Zr-MOF-6 with the optimized defectivity of ca. 35% exhibits the highest hydrogen production rate of up to 2923 µmol g-1 h-1, illustrating the importance of structural defects in heterojunction photocatalysts. Ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy and electron spin resonance results unveil the highest carrier concentration and charge separation efficiency in the defected heterostructure of ZrO2/Pt/Zr-MOF-6 through a direct Z-scheme contact, leading to its efficient photocatalysis through the high redox power.

‘They Only Get the Feed That Grows on Our Farm’: A Survey Experiment on Government-Subsidized Greenwashing of Swiss Meat and Agricultural Policy

Increased consumer concern about environmental issues has led to a surge in green advertising, including misleading forms known as greenwashing. Definitions of greenwashing have mostly focused on companies misleading consumers about products, and existing empirical analyses of greenwashing effects have mostly used fabricated ad materials referring to fictitious products. The objective of the present paper is to use ad material from an actual ad campaign to examine joint greenwashing, by an industry organization and a national government, of consumer products and public policies. Using an actual government-subsidized video commercial for ‘Swiss meat’ as an example, the present paper examines greenwashing targeting both consumers and citizens to influence their product choices and policy opinions. Based on an online survey of an age- and gender-representative sample (n = 637), we measured aspects of consumer knowledge that would enable the consumers to put the ad’s message in perspective, perceptions of the ad, and beliefs about Swiss meat production. Furthermore, we used a two-factorial experimental design to examine how the video commercial and objective product information affected policy opinions relative to control treatments. We find that the consumers strongly overestimated the true percentage of Swiss farms that used the environmentally friendly feeding system featured in the ad. Regarding perceptions, 52% of the respondents ‘rather’ or ‘fully’ agreed with the statement ‘the ad conveys a realistic image of Swiss meat production’, and 41% ‘rather’ or ‘fully’ agreed with the statement ‘the ad shows the production of Swiss beef as it is’. Regarding beliefs, 51% of the respondents ‘partly’, ‘rather’, or ‘fully’ agreed that ‘more meat production in Switzerland is good for the environment’. The video commercial did not influence beliefs about Swiss meat but changed policy opinions in the favor of government subsidies for the advertisement of Swiss meat. The information treatment influenced policy opinions in the opposite direction but did not decrease the effect of the misleading ad. Other significant predictors of support for increased meat subsidies included frequent meat consumption, low factual knowledge, and positive product beliefs. The results of the survey indicate that the ad campaign may have unduly influenced perceptions of Swiss meat production and public opinion about agricultural policy. The findings raise concerns about the current self-regulation of the communication industry and joint private and public advertising of Swiss agricultural products and policies.

Boosting Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production over Mn0.4Cd0.6S/CuS p–n Heterojunction under Visible Light Irradiation

Photocatalytic hydrogen production from water splitting is a promising technology for overcoming energy and environmental issues. Herein, Mn0.4Cd0.6S/CuS composites were constructed for photocatalytic hydrogen production. The amount of CuS is optimized, and the composition and structure of the Mn0.4Cd0.6S/CuS composite are investigated via various characterization techniques. The formation of a p–n heterojunction between Mn0.4Cd0.6S and CuS and the built‐in electric field improve the separation efficiency of photogenerated electrons and holes and enhance the performance of photocatalytic hydrogen production. When the content of CuS is 5 wt%, Mn0.4Cd0.6S/5CuS presents the best photocatalytic hydrogen production rate of 22.10 mmol h−1 g−1, which is 3.0 times greater than that of Mn0.4Cd0.6S, and the apparent quantum yield reaches 7.82% at 400 nm. Combined with the activity test and characterization results, the reaction mechanism of photocatalytic hydrogen production over the Mn0.4Cd0.6S/CuS composite is proposed.

Patch-Level and Neighborhood-Dependency Spatial Optimization Method (PNO): Application to Urban Land-Use Planning to Facilitate Both Socio-Economic and Environmental Development in Beijing

Rapid urban expansion and chaotic urban land-use patterns cause many socio-economic and environmental issues, e.g., traffic congestion and urban heat islands; thus, scientific planning considering land-use trade-offs and layout optimization is highly required for resolving these issues, especially in the urban renewal stage. However, previous spatial optimization methods were weak in processing land-use patches and ignored their neighborhood dependency, leading to fragmented and inapplicable optimization results. Accordingly, this study proposes a patch-level and neighborhood-dependency spatial optimization method (PNO) to adjust urban land-use patterns considering multiple optimization targets (i.e., improving population and economy but controlling land surface temperature). The PNO represents land-use patterns in a graph structure, quantifies land-use patterns’ impacts on the population, economy, and land surface temperature, defines the spatiotemporal constraints of land-use optimization considering neighborhood-dependency and optimization sequences, and finally optimizes land uses and their spatial layouts based on a multi-objective genetic algorithm. Experiments were conducted in the urban area of Beijing, and the results suggested that, after optimization, the population and GDP can be improved by 667,323 people (4.72%) and USD 10.69 billion in products (2.75%) in the study area; meanwhile, the land surface temperature can be reduced by 0.12 °C (−0.32%). Through comparison, the proposed PNO outperforms previous spatial optimization methods, e.g., NSGA-II, in processing land-use patches as well as their neighborhoods. Taking the land-use map in 2022 as a reference, the PNO optimization results are more consistent with actual land-use changes (consistency of 25%), compared to the existing spatial optimization results (consistency of 10.6%). Thus, PNO is more applicable to land-use planning in urban renewal circumstances.

Effect of Multiple Injection Strategy Under High Ammonia Ratio on Combustion and Emissions of Liquid Ammonia/Diesel Dual DI Engine

With the increasingly prominent environmental and energy issues, emission regulations are becoming more stringent. Ammonia diesel dual fuel (ADDF) engine is one of the effective ways to reduce carbon emissions. This study investigated the effect of multiple injection strategy on the combustion and emission characteristics of liquid ammonia/diesel dual direct injection (DI) engines through numerical simulation. The results showed that under the condition of maintaining the same pre injection diesel fuel and high ammonia energy ratio (80%), with the introduction of multiple injection, the peak cylinder pressure decreased and the peak phase advanced, the combustion start angle (CA10) advanced, the heat release showed a multi-stage pattern. The times of injection (TSOI) has a significant effect on combustion and emissions. As TSOI increased, ignition delay decreased, the combustion duration is shortened, and the combustion is accelerated. Notably, overall emissions of NOx and N2O have decreased, but the emissions of unburned NH3 have increased. Optimized the state of ammonia injection (SOAI) timing and ammonia injection pressure (AIP), showed that advancing SOAI timing and increasing AIP improved combustion. Advanced the SOAI timing to −8 °CA ATDC, resulted in a significant NOx emissions decrease with an increase in TSOI, reaching over 50%. Although increasing injection pressure can improve combustion, it also results in higher N2O emissions.

Collaboration, accountability pressure, and local air pollution governance: evidence from China

Although a stringent top-down performance-based accountability system remains a key characteristic of China’s environmental governance, collaborative action across jurisdictions has quickly become another highly important feature of local environmental governance that offers capacity pooling and flexible governing structures to address cross-jurisdictional environmental issues such as air pollution. How does control-oriented performance accountability pressure interact with local cross-jurisdictional collaborations to influence environmental outcomes? Drawing from the latest collaborative governance literature and employing panel data from major cities from 2013 to 2020, we establish that collaboration has a significant and persistent influence on local governments’ air pollution abatement, and—importantly—we discover that accountability pressure moderates this relationship in certain institutional circumstances. The accountability pressure—created through performance rankings and environmental inspections undertaken by the central government—can motivate poor-performing local governments to take advantage of collaboration to improve their environmental outcomes. Accountability pressure, however, has no visible impact on high-performing governments’ environmental outcomes. We discuss the theoretical and policy implications of these findings.

Tribological Impact of Carbon Black Nanoparticles Obtained from Recycled Waste Tires as Additive to Motor Oil

Abstract Used tires are commonly stockpiled at landfills, taking up a vast space of land and leading to serious environmental issues, which makes recycling and finding better waste management strategies necessary. This study explores the potential role of recycled material extracted from waste tires in the lubrication industry by examining different properties of motor oil with the addition of carbon black (CB) nanoparticles obtained from used tires via the pyrolysis process. The CB particles have been added to motor oil at various concentrations (0.5, 1, 2, and 4 wt.%), and several properties of the Oil-CB lubricant mixture, such as tribological, rheological, and lubrication, have been investigated. After testing different concentration samples, the 2 wt.% of CB in the motor oil showed the best tribological and rheological behavior compared to other samples. The improvement in motor oil performance with the addition of CB was evident in the mixed lubrication regime, with a more than 20% reduction in frictional and wear losses compared to the reference motor oil. This improvement in the oil's lubrication performance is attributed to the presence of CB nanoparticles between sliding surfaces operating as a third body that helps reduce the contact pressure and minimize solid-solid asperities contact. Therefore, this work demonstrates the viable role of carbon black recycled material in improving the lubrication properties of current motor oils.

The impact of public policy is aimed at addressing issues such as resource efficiency, environmental indicators that have a direct impact on the economies of European countries, as well as contributing to the sustainable development of the territories of these countries. Sustainable development implies economic and social aspects, as well as special attention is paid to environmental aspects. The World Commission on Environment and Development (the Brundtland Commission), which presented the report in 1987, put forward the concept of "sustainable development". Since then, it has become a key component in many policy discussions on economic, social, and environmental issues. In its report "Our Common Future," the Brundtland Commission defined it as: "development that meets the needs of current generations without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Environmental factors distress housing development in nigeria and other regions of the world

A clean and healthy environment forms a crucial aspect of our daily living, which becomes a vital factor for a healthy lifestyle. Global warming, flood, deforestation, overexploitation of natural resources, climate change, pollution, among others are some of the environmental challenges that most nation is facing. This study aims to increase the consciousness of environmental factors distress housing development. The methodology used involved the analysis and review of previous related literature in reverence to the issue in Nigeria and other regions of the world with a view to develop a guide for housing development. The study looked at environmental factors in housing using Nigeria and other regions of the world as a case study. This study carried out a general overview of environmental factors in housing, environmental issues, and challenges in this area. The study used secondary sources of data from relevant literature to obtained information related to these objectives. The study also looked at the control measures to alleviate the impacts of environmental factors on housing in each continent and the way forward in building a sustainable environment. The results from the finding shows that promoting effective clean housing production, reduction of noise, water and air pollution, and reduction of solid waste, will alleviate environmental issues in cities around the globe. Also, effectively improving the environmental consciousness of people will significantly reduce environmental factors distress housing development in Nigeria and other regions of the world. The study recommended and concluded that there is a need to focus on designing eco-friendly buildings, sustainable building operations, and limiting the negative impacts of housing on the environment, such as noise, air, and water reduction and focusing on nature conservation.
