Desa Tangguh Bencana: Evaluasi Peran dan Keberhasilan Mitigasi Bencana Gempa Bumi di Lombok Tengah Tahun 2018

Central Lombok Regency is one of 10 regencies/cities in West Nusa Tenggrara Province which has a fairly high level of natural disaster ratio. One of the natural disasters that often occurs is earthquakes. The earthquake on Lombok Island occurred from 29 July to 9 August 2018 with a magnitude of 7.0, resulting in many fatalities and various damages to local buildings. This research was conducted to seek information about the importance of implementing preparedness in facing disasters covering the entire region, especially in disaster-resilient villages. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach which obtains data through interviews, observation and document study. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that disaster resilient villages have a fairly effective role in overcoming natural disasters such as earthquakes in Central Lombok Regency.

DINAMIKA DAN TANTANGAN PERUBAHAN PENGGUNAAN LAHAN DI WILAYAH PULAU KECIL (STUDI KASUS GILI MENO, TRAWANGAN DAN AIR)

Gili Matra is a small island in the northern part of Lombok Island that is vulnerable to climate change's impacts. Rising sea levels, coastline changes, abrasion, rising earth temperatures, and global warming consequences cause climate change. The pressure on the need for space to develop facilities and infrastructure to support tourism has resulted in a change in land use from green open land to built-up land. Based on these problems, this research aims to describe the dynamics and challenges in regulating land use in Gili Matra. The method used in this research is a descriptive, evaluative analysis using policy analysis and DPSIR (Drivers, Pressures, States, Impacts, Responses) analysis to facilitate systematic thinking in analyzing research objectives. The results of this study indicate that tourism development is a trigger for the development of space requirements in Gili Matra, which causes changes in land use. In addition, there needs to be more overlap in determining area functions and spatial planning, resulting in stronger implementation of spatial use control in Small Islands.

Identifikasi Jenis Zooplankton di Sepanjang Perairan Sungai Jangkok Kota Mataram

Zooplankton is animal plankton, which plays a role as primary consumers in aquatic ecosystems and as a link in the aquatic food chain. The Jangkok River is one of the large rivers on Lombok Island. This river flows from the western slopes of Mount Rinjani through the Narmada area of ​​West Lombok Regency to downstream at Ampenan Beach. Many river flows provide functions and benefits for the continuity of life of the surrounding community. This research aims to identify zooplankton in the waters of the Jangkok River, Mataram City. This type of research is exploratory descriptive. Research procedures include taking zooplankton water samples horizontally and vertically. Data collection techniques use observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the zooplankton abundance index. The research results show that there are 4 types of Zooplankton consisting of 4 species that have been discovered including Harpacticoid copepod, Parathemisto abyssorum, Cyclops bicuspidatus and Diaptomus sp.

Phenomenological Study on Religious Values Development in Children of Muslim Migrant Workers Families in Lombok Island

The purpose of this study is to investigate the phenomenological aspects of religious value development in the children of Muslim migrant worker households on Lombok Island and determine the tactics they employ to maintain their religious identity. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research method based on observations and interviews. This study's fundamental information was derived from primary data collected through in-depth interviews with several children (aged 4 to 10 years) from Muslim migrants' households. The findings emphasized the complex link between religious principles, cultural identity, and societal elements in the development of Muslim children. Meanwhile, this study will help us better understand the complex connection between migration, religion, and cultural identity and provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities that migrant families face when keeping their religious beliefs.

The Practice of Adoption in the Sasak Community and Its Implications for Marriage Law in Indonesia

Adopting a child is a tradition that has long been practiced by Arab society and continues to this day. The practice of adopting children when Islam came was then perfected by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, so that it has a basis in Islamic law. This study explores adoption practices in contemporary Sasak society and their implications for reformulating Islamic Marriage Law. This research uses a normative juridical approach analyzed with the theory of maqāṣid al-sharī'ah. The data analyzed are laws, legal regulations and decisions of religious courts on the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara regarding child adoption cases and norms regarding child protection as normative legal material. These data sources are collected through documentation techniques and analysed using data compaction, display, and conclusion-drawing stages, employing analogical and teleological legal interpretation approaches. The study identifies three classifications of adopted children based on marital status and the presence of biological parents: legitimate children, illegitimate children, and children with unclear status. The research upholds the Islamic legal principle that adoption does not sever the child's lineage from their biological parents, even if their existence is unknown, and does not establish a lineage between the adopted child and their adoptive parents. The study has three implications for Islamic marriage law in Indonesia: including adoption provisions in the Marriage Law, eliminating the article that allows polygamy as a solution for childless couples, and adding requirements for marriages involving "unclear children" as authentic evidence to prove no blood relation between the prospective bride and groom, thus preventing invalid marriages.

Ethnoecological Study of Local Community Food in Supporting the Development of Culinary Ecotourism in the Sekotong Region, West Lombok

Combining the concept of ecotourism with culinary delights based on local food resources in coastal communities in West Lombok district is one form of appropriate development strategy that will make the West Lombok district region have its own development characteristics leading to sustainable tourism and tourism support which will become the concept of future tourism development. This research examines in more depth the ethnoecological aspects of coastal communities, especially regarding local food. Through this research, data will be obtained regarding the diversity of local food types in coastal communities, mapping community wisdom in processing and utilizing local food. Local community interactions and perceptions of local food diversity. The type of research used is descriptive exploratory with research techniques in the form of exploration. The sampling techniques used in the research were purpose sampling and snowball sampling. Research data collection uses several techniques, including random observation to obtain qualitative and quantitative data on local food typical of the island of Lombok, which uses an open questionnaire targeting local communities according to predetermined criteria. The research results show that coastal communities have more food resources originating from marine resources, both fish and non-fish, these food resources are still protected because most people still harvest the results using simple equipment. There are around 11 types of processed food as a family practice. Tuna fish has the highest ICS (Index of Cultural Significance) value while mackerel fish has the highest variety of uses. Shrimp is the fish group that has the highest ICS value, while cassava leaves have the highest ICS value for the vegetable group. The local wisdom of the community which originates from their ancestors in order to protect their environmental resources is still maintained today.

Enhancing biomethane quality via the activation of natural zeolite from Lombok Island

<p>This study presents the results of the biogas purification test using the fixed-bed column method. As an adsorbent, natural zeolite from the Lombok island Indonesia was used. Zeolite is used for the purpose of purifying biogas produced from the anaerobic digestion (AD) process. To enhance the adsorption capacity, the zeolite underwent activation using distinct strong base and acid solutions—potassium hydroxide (KOH) and hydrochloric acid (HCl)—with concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20%, individually. The experiment was carried out until the adsorbent reached saturation, at which point the methane (CH4) concentration began to decline. It was revealed that the typical Lombok zeolite showed good performance in increasing the concentration of CH4 in biogas. Furthermore, zeolites work better when activated with strong base solutions and at high concentrations. This is indicated by the achievement of higher CH4 concentrations and a longer saturation time. The results from analyzing zeolite features and pore characteristics indicate that acidic and base compounds yield distinct outcomes in terms of the surface structure of zeolite pores.</p>

The development of tourism in Indonesia has led to the emergence of various types of tourism, one of which is tourism based on the customs and culture of a region. One of the traditional tourist areas that can be found in Indonesia is the Dese Sade traditional cultural tourist village which is located on the island of Lombok. The Dese Sade traditional cultural tourism offers various types of commodities and one of them is the typical Dese Sade sasak woven cloth commodity. This commodity is quite popular among local and international communities, so it has the potential to be used as a branding image for the Dese Sade traditional cultural tourist village itself.Empowerment of the typical Dese Sade sasak woven cloth commodity has considerable potential as a branding image in the area. In this era of modernization, many people are interested in the traditional cultures of a region which can then be used as souvenirs or souvenirs when they visit and have the opportunity to learn more about the customs and culture that exist in an area. Therefore, Dese Sade traditional cultural tourism offers these commodities as a way of promotion in branding their own traditional and cultural village tourism.In writing this research, the author tried to examine in more depth the empowerment of the typical Dese Sade sasak woven cloth as a commodity in terms of branding the area's image. The author uses the theory/concept of branding image to find out more deeply about the empowerment efforts carried out by the village government (traditional leaders) in utilizing the typical Dese Sade sasak woven cloth commodity. Then the method used in this writing is descriptive qualitative to provide a clear picture of the efforts made by the village government in branding its traditional tourism villages in a specific and structured manner

Diversity of Macrozoobenthos as Bioindiactor for Water Quality of Jangkok River Lombok Island

Macrozoobenthos are aquatic organisms that can be as bioindicators of water quality. Species diversity of macrozoobenthos communities plays an important role in assessing water quality. This research was conducted in Desember 2023 to analyze the level of diversity of macrozoobenthic species and the water quality of the Jangkok River, Lombok Island. Sampling stations representing the Upstream (Sesaot Village, Narmada District), Centralstream (Sayang-sayang Village, Cakranegara District) and Downstream (Dasan Agung, Mataram City) of Jangkok River. The results of this research showed that macrozoobenthos community in the waters of Jangkok River consisted of 14 species members of 5 clases. Four species with highest abundance ware Corbicula Fluminea, Gerris remingis, Pomacea canaliculata and Solenocera sp. from clases of Bivalvia, Insecta, Gastropoda, and Crustacea, respectively. Species diversity index of macrozoobenthos in the Jangkok River was 2.4, indicated that water of Jangkok River was not in pollution. However, the river remains vulnerable to pollution, both at light and moderate levels.

Physicochemical and antioxidant properties of Apis cerana honey from Lombok and Bali Islands.

Limited honey production worldwide leads to higher market prices, thus making it prone to adulteration. Therefore, regular physicochemical analysis is imperative for ensuring authenticity and safety. This study describes the physicochemical and antioxidant properties of Apis cerana honey sourced from the islands of Lombok and Bali, showing their unique regional traits. A comparative analysis was conducted on honey samples from Lombok and Bali as well as honey variety from Malaysia. Moisture content was found slightly above 20% in raw honey samples from Lombok and Bali, adhering to the national standard (SNI 8664:2018) of not exceeding 22%. Both honey types displayed pH values within the acceptable range (3.40-6.10), ensuring favorable conditions for long-term storage. However, Lombok honey exhibited higher free acidity (78.5±2.14 meq/kg) than Bali honey (76.0±1.14 meq/kg), surpassing Codex Alimentarius recommendations (≤50 meq/kg). The ash content, reflective of inorganic mineral composition, was notably lower in Lombok (0.21±0.02 g/100) and Bali honey (0.14±0.01 g/100) compared to Tualang honey (1.3±0.02 g/100). Electric conductivity, indicative of mineral content, revealed Lombok and Bali honey with lower but comparable values than Tualang honey. Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) concentrations in Lombok (14.4±0.11 mg/kg) and Bali (17.6±0.25 mg/kg) were slightly elevated compared to Tualang honey (6.4±0.11 mg/kg), suggesting potential processing-related changes. Sugar analysis revealed Lombok honey with the highest sucrose content (2.39±0.01g/100g) and Bali honey with the highest total sugar content (75.21±0.11 g/100g). Both honeys exhibited lower glucose than fructose content, aligning with Codex Alimentarius guidelines. The phenolic content, flavonoids, and antioxidant activity were significantly higher in Lombok and Bali honey compared to Tualang honey, suggesting potential health benefits. Further analysis by LC-MS/MS-QTOF targeted analysis identified various flavonoids/flavanols and polyphenolic/phenolic acid compounds in Lombok and Bali honey. The study marks the importance of characterizing the unique composition of honey from different regions, ensuring quality and authenticity in the honey industry.

Geolocation data incorporation in Mapbox for comprehensive mapping of tourism areas on Lombok Island

Lombok Island is one of the islands that has many tourist areas. With so many tourist areas spread to various regions on the island of Lombok, an accurate and comprehensive tourist area mapping system is needed. The problem faced is that the existing mapping is still constrained regarding accuracy and data persistence. The solution offered in this research is the incorporation of geolocation data on the Mapbox platform to improve the accuracy and detail of data in mapping tourism areas on the island of Lombok. In this research, there are several stages carried out starting from data collection to testing. This research results in a tourist area mapping information system that applies geolocation data incorporation on Mapbox. The test results show an increase in accuracy of 8% from the previous mapping and a usability test score of 81 which means that the system developed is acceptable or feasible by users.

Classification of Lombok Songket and Sasambo Batik Motifs Using the Convolution Neural Network (CNN) Algorithm

Sasambo batik is a traditional batik from the West Nusa Tenggara province. Sasambo itself is an abbreviation of three tribes, namely the Sasak (sa) in the Lombok Islands, the Samawa (sam), and the Mbojo (bo) tribes in Sumbawa Island. Classification of batik motifs can use image processing technology, one of which is the Convolution Neural Network (CNN) algorithm. Before entering the classification process, the batik image first undergoes image resizing. After that, proceed with the operation of the convolution, pooling, and fully connected layers. The sample image of Lombok songket motifs and Sasambo batik consists of 20 songket fabric data with the same motif and color and 14 songket data with the same motif but different colors. In addition, there are 10 data points on songket fabrics with other motifs and colors. In addition, there are 5 data points on Sasambo batik fabrics with the same motif and color and 5 data points on Sasambo batik fabrics with the same motif but different colors. The training data rotates the image by 150as many as 20 photos. Testing with motifs with the same color shows that the system's success rate is 83.85%. The highest average recognition for Sasambo batik cloth is in testing motifs with the same color for data in the database at 93.66%. The CNN modeling classification results indicate that the Sasambo batik cloth can be a reference for developing songket categorization using a website platform or the Android system.

The illegal trade in rosewood in Indonesia

Rosewoods are among the most valuable traded hardwoods, and there is a significant illegal trade. From 2017 onwards the international trade in all species of Dalbergia rosewood is regulated through the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. I focus on two species of rosewood that occur in parts of Indonesia, Dalbergia latifolia and D. sissoo, to assess the extent of the illegal trade and to analyse geographical and temporal patterns of wildlife crime. Based on 67 seizure reports from 2014 to 2022 I show that (a) 117 logs of D. sissoo and 4,285 logs of D. latifolia were confiscated, (b) seizures occurred on the islands of Sumatra (16 seizures; 1,190 logs), Java (43; 1,780 logs), and Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa and Timor (8; 1,408 logs), (c) while there was an increase in the number of seizures per year, there were no seasonal differences in seizure activities. For 10% of the logs there was supporting evidence that they were taken from State managed forests and 18% was taken from conservation areas, thus causing more damage than just the removal of individual trees. Seizures in Indonesia over this period equals 0.12 ± 0.04% of the legal rosewood export. The illegal trade is dominated by Indonesians rather than foreign nationals and the direction of trade is towards Java from where > 95% will be exported to China. While policies are in place concerning rosewood seizures and stockpiling (including auctioning or destruction) in practise it is unclear where seized rosewood ends up. When used with caution, analysis of seizure data offers a valuable means to gain insights in illicit activities that normally remain hidden from view.

 Tourism is the main source of revenue for the people of Lombok Island, particularly in Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante. This village may be found in the Central Lombok Regency of West Nusa Tenggara. Beautiful rice fields and various intriguing activities can be found at Bilebante Green Tourism Village. Furthermore, Bilebante Green Tourism Village provides a selection of distinctive snacks administered by women. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of women in the development of Bilebante Green Tourism Village for sustainable tourism. Women are vital to the village's development as local leaders and as key players in economic operations, environmental protection, cultural preservation, and social empowerment. In qualitative terms, the research methods used in this study are descriptive and verification. According to the findings of this study, women play an important role in the development of the village, not only as local leaders but also as key players in economic activities, environmental protection, cultural preservation, and social empowerment. Suggestions for the development of Bilebante Green Tourism Village include improving the cleanliness of homestays, using environmentally friendly snack packaging, and providing road markings to improve tourist safety.

Spatial Modelling Habitat Suitability of Javan Langur (<i>Trachypithecus auratus</i> É. Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 1812) in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS), East Java

Javan Langur (T. auratus) is well-known as one of endemic primates from Java, Bali and Lombok Islands. The activities of land clearing, vegetation conversing, wild hunting and illegal wildlife trading are the main causes of the extinction of the Javan Langur. It can be used as an important issue for conservation action by making prediction maps of suitable habitat potential, especially for species facing a high risk of extinction in the wild. We were documenting an information about potential habitat for Javan langur using spatial suitability model in order to provide rigorous information as the basis for conservation activities of Javan langur in TNBTS. We used Landsat-8 TM image and geospatial data to support analysis as a representative of environmental parameters in order to develop the habitat model. We were using maximum entropy (MaxEnt) algorithm refers to Javan langur presence or absence. The results showed that the suitability of the Javan langur habitat in TNBTS has an excellent model accuracy level with an AUC (Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristics) value of 0.964 and a standard deviation of 0.961. Parameters with the highest response values here are elevation, NDVI (Normalised Difference Vegetation Index) and temperatures.

Unlocking synergies between waste management and climate change mitigation to accelerate decarbonization through circular-economy digitalization in Indonesia

As one of popular destinations in Indonesia for tourism, Lombok Island has been confronted with an overgeneration of solid waste recently. About 600 metric ton (Mt) of the waste is generated daily with 40 % of it as non-biodegradable waste. Amidst the challenges of climate change and the need for decarbonization, this case-study investigates various challenges in strengthening synergies between waste management and climate change mitigation in Lombok, while exploring opportunities to accelerate decarbonization in the waste sector through circular-economy digitalization. Case study of digitalization-based waste recycling in Hainan Island (China) are presented as a model for Lombok to replicate its successful story on how digital technologies contribute to sustainability with respect to efficiency and waste circularity. To obtain relevant data, the research questions cover: How did both Hainan and Lombok Islands deal with the challenges and opportunities associated with digitalization-based circular economy (CE)? What are the implications of digitalization-based waste recycling on the society and economy? It was found that digital revolution has affected all sectors including the waste sector in Hainan. As digitalization has expanded in all sectors, this creates opportunities to optimize waste recycling and decrease GHG emissions, while driving decarbonization across the economy. About 90 % of waste avoidance was attained in Hainan when using digitalization for waste recycling. CE strategies also complement decarbonization to reduce GHG emission from material production through waste recycling, while minimizing its direct emission from local landfills. While the digitalization-based approach is promising for improving waste management in Lombok, its appropriateness and feasibility depend on the Island's socio-economic conditions and digital readiness. The findings underline the importance of integrating digital solutions into local waste management and calls for collaboration among policymakers, stakeholders, and communities to realize the potential of circular-economy digitalization in accelerating decarbonization. By adopting digital opportunities in the waste sector based on China's experiences, Indonesia could accelerate decarbonization pathways in waste sector to accomplish its net-zero emission goals by 2060.

A SCALE UP FOR LOCAL PRODUCT THROUGH SACRIFICING THE HIGH-QUALITY BY TECHNO-PRENEURSHIP: CASE STUDY SADE VILLAGE, LOMBOK ISLAND

It focuses on understanding stakeholders' needs, identifying innovation opportunities, and implementing strategies in real-world settings to drive sustainable growth.
 
 Results and Conclusion: The research reveals that a vision statement and stra-tegic business development initiatives have significantly increased revenue and profitability in the notation and recording industry. These strategies have fos-tered confidence in regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and business team alignment. They have also facilitated economic growth and community empowerment, particularly in regions like Lombok Island.
 
 Research implications: The research emphasizes the importance of continuous innovation, regulatory compliance, customer-centricity, community engagement, strategic alignment, and continuous adaptation in the notation and recording in-dustry. These factors help businesses stay competitive, maintain trust, and contrib-ute to sustainable growth. Moderation of Religiosity and Factors that Influence Tourists' Intentions to Visit Halal Tourism Destinations on Lombok Island

Konsep halal saat ini menjadi tren dalam perkembangan ekonomi syariah dunia, yang memunculkan segmen baru dalam pariwisata, yaitu wisata halal, yang kini dianggap sebagai ceruk pasar baru yang menjanjikan. Hal ini juga menjadi peluang besar untuk meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan sekaligus menjadi lokomotif pertumbuhan ekonomi di bidang pariwisata halal. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi niat wisatawan untuk mengunjungi destinasi halal di Pulau Lombok, dengan religiusitas sebagai variabel moderasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian eksplanatori yang dirancang untuk menunjukkan kontribusi variabel eksogen terhadap variabel endogen. Populasi penelitian ini terdiri dari wisatawan yang berkunjung ke destinasi wisata halal di Pulau Lombok, dan metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan, dan total sampel sebanyak 280 responden. Data yang terkumpul akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan software SmartPLS 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa norma subjektif, sikap, citra destinasi, motivasi berwisata berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap niat wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke destinasi wisata halal di Pulau Lombok. Sedangkan persepsi perilaku tidak berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap niat wisatawan untuk mengunjungi destinasi wisata halal di Pulau Lombok
