Character Building Training on Gen-Z Tolerance for 12th Grade SMAK Santa Maria, Malang

One of the reasons that the act of intolerant occur is because of the ambiguity factor in the term “tolerance” itself. The logical consequence of this ambiguity has led to the vagueness of meaning of the tolerance boundaries. Furthermore, intolerance and even radicalism often occur in a society. There are serious problems that must be faced if we narrow it down to the life of Gen-Z. Based on the research by the Center for Islamic and Community Studies (PPIM) UIN Jakarta 2018, there are more than 50% of Gen-Z were exposed to intolerance and radicalism through social media. By focusing on the Gen-Z, specifically to the 12th grade students at SMAK Santa Maria, we began to provide provision for deepening and expanding their understanding on tolerance boundaries and the relationship between the intolerance and social media. This activity is conducted through concrete activities such as role-play, poster campaigns on social media, and games method like building “Tolerance Tower”. Such activities are important to be implemented so that students’ self-value appreciation as well as actualization in a society can be manifested. After the survey conducted, students’ understanding, and awareness is increased by approximately 30%. It certainly did not quantitatively achieve a complete successfulness. Therefore, it is important to carry out such activity that is more systematic and comprehensive way. However, the overall “Character Building Training on Gen-Z Tolerance” activity has laid to the fundamental foundation for a better change in awareness for the next future generations.

Exploring the Effectiveness of Mobile Smartphones in Teaching Islamic Studies among Senior Secondary Schools

The need for Islamic Religious teachers in Senior High Schools to fully integrate ICT tools, especially smartphones, in enhancing effective and efficient teaching in digital processes compared to traditional teaching methods should not be underestimated. This study aims to analyze the integration of ICT mobile smartphones for effective teaching of Islamic studies among senior secondary schools. This study adopted research quantitative method of research. The instrument used for data collection was validated by three experts in Test & Measurement who found it appropriate for this study. A simple random sampling technique was used to select 194 out of 307 senior secondary school teachers of Islamic studies as the sample size of the study. A questionnaire titled "Effective Integration of Mobile Smartphones for Teaching Senior Secondary Schools Questionnaire (EIMSTSSQ)." The reliability of the instrument was determined using the test re-test reliability technique value of the correlation coefficient obtained at 0.87. The findings of the study revealed that senior secondary school teachers of Islamic studies integrate mobile smartphones for effective teaching of Islamic studies. Also, the study revealed that mobile App skills, Internet skills, mobile smartphones literacy skills, technical proficiency, communication skills, creativity skills, organization and time management, flexibility skills and pedagogical knowledge are the skills needed for the integration of mobile smartphones for effective teaching of senior secondary school. The study further revealed that male and female teachers integrate mobile smartphones to enhance the effective teaching of senior secondary school Islamic studies.

ISLAMIC STUDIES TEACHERS’ ACCEPTANCE OF MOBILE LEARNING IN ILORIN SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF KWARA STATE, NIGERIA

The increased accessibility to mobile networks coupled with a decrease in the cost of mobile devices has significant implications for transforming the educational instructional environment, particularly in the area of m-learning. Against this background, the study examined Islamic Studies teachers’ acceptance of mobile learning in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria. Descriptive research method was adopted for this study. The population for this study was all Islamic studies teachers in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State Nigeria. One hundred and twenty teachers of Islamic Studies were selected as respondents for this study using purposive sampling technique. A researcher- designed questionnaire was used. Research questions were answered using mean and percentage at an alpha level of 0.05. Finding of this study revealed that the level of acceptance of mobile phones in teaching of Islamic studies in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria was high 115 (95.8%). Teachers of Islamic studies used mostly Internet, Video Camera, Taking Note and others respectively. Teachers of Islamic studies also used of mobile phones application very frequently, frequently, sometimes, and not at all teaching and learning of Islamic studies. Based on these findings, the study concluded that the level of acceptance of mobile phones in teaching of Islamic studies in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria was high. The study recommended based on the findings that government at all levels should assist in the provision of more modern mobile phones in secondary schools for teaching of Islamic Studies.

Enhancing Accessibility to Islamic Studies Education through E-learning

The E-learning system of education allows students to acquire uninterrupted learning activities through the aids of technological devices. E-learning as a process of receiving knowledge through electronic transmission, can be an alternative teaching and learning method. Therefore, this study analyzes e-learning: a conducive avenue for making learning more accessible among senior secondary school Islamic studies. This type of research is qualitative research. The data collection method is including, interviews and FGDs. Then data analysis uses qualitative analysis. The finding of the study revealed that the integration of e-learning enhances the effective and efficient learning process. Also, the study revealed that students with very low enthusiasm for learning may find it difficult to utilize e-learning and the unfriendly nature of the internet in Nigeria discourages students from adopting it. It is, therefore, concluded in this study that e-learning is an alternative medium for achieving educational objectives and a reliable means to enhance effective and efficient teaching and learning processes in this 21st century.

Penggunaan Perisian Maktabah Syamilah Dalam Meningkatkan Minat Pelajar Dalam Pembelajaran Hadith: Satu Tinjauan

Hadith is the premier source in Islam after the Quran. It is a supporter, reinforcer and mubayyin of the verses of the Quran as well as the support of Islamic jurisprudence. However, the traditional hadith learning nature required a long time to find and refer to hadith books either physically or virtually. The world changes towards the era of digitization or the era of media technology, teaching and learning aids in Islamic studies have innovated several interactive, flexible and effective mediums, especially to find reference sources such as Maktabah Syamilah software. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify the use of Maktabah Syamilah software in increasing students' interest in learning hadith. This study uses a survey based on a set of questionnaire instruments of data collection method that has been distributed to 132 final year students, Faculty of Quran and Sunnah Studies, USIM. The results show that the usage of Maktabah Syamilah software can increase students' interest in learning hadith because it very friendly usage. In conclusion, the use of technology in learning could support and help students to improve in mastering their studies.

Analisis Faktor Bekas Pengguna Dadah Terlibat Dalam Dakwah Kepada Penagih Aktif: Perbincangan Menurut Hadis

Usually, duty as a preacher is pioneered by a group of individuals with Islamic studies backgrounds. This is because as a preacher, they have to guide the individual spiritually when needed. Therefore, it is a must for a group of preachers to have a wide knowledge of Islamic studies. However, there is also a group of preachers who have standard knowledge or only know the basics of religion but are active in preaching. This intended group is made up of former drug users who have contributed devotion, time, and energy to making drug addicts awake to the nature of God and faith. Because this contribution of devotion is a challenging task and not so popular, this research is intended to study the main factors contributing to their hard work in delivering preaching for this group of active drug addicts. After that, every factor that has been found will be debated according to the hadith perspective. Thematic methods are used in this research to analyse the data that has been obtained through data collection methodology and an interview with the preacher. The obtained data will be analysed using thematic methods and NVIVO software. The results show that there are 7 reasons that contribute to and motivate preaching: get busy to control addiction; advise others as well as yourself; reduce longing for drugs; get close to religion; help others in need; experience makes them understand active drug users; and also make up for old mistakes that surround people in drug addiction.

Implementation of the Bahtsul Masa'il Method in Improving Ability to Read the Book of Fathul Qorib

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementing the Bahtsul Masa'il Method in improving the ability to read the Book of Fathul Qorib using a quantitative approach. This method is used in the context of Islamic religious teaching and focuses on understanding Arabic texts. In this study, the research sample consisted of a group of students who took part in training using the Bahtsul Masa'il Method and another group of students who took part in conventional teaching methods. Data was collected through reading and comprehension tests of Arabic texts before and after implementing the method. The results of the test were analyzed using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing to evaluate significant differences in improvement in reading ability between the two groups of students. The findings of this research indicate that the implementation of the Bahtsul Masa'il Method significantly increases the ability to read the Book of Fathul Qorib compared to conventional teaching methods. Students who underwent training with this method showed higher improvements in understanding Arabic texts. These results support the use of the Bahtsul Masa'il Method as an effective approach to improving reading competence in the context of Islamic religious studies. This research has positive implications for curriculum development and Islamic religious teaching methods, by emphasizing the importance of interactive approaches and critical thinking in understanding texts religion. In addition, this research provides an empirical basis for Islamic religious educators to consider using the Bahtsul Masa'il Method in an effort to increase understanding and literacy in Arabic among students.

Analysis Of The Influence Of Islamic Banking Knowledge, Social Values, Religiousness, And Perceptions On Student Career Interest In Islamic Banking (Study Of Islamic Banking Study Program Students In Semarang City)

<p>This study aims to analyse the significance of Islamic banking knowledge, social values, religiosity, and perceptions of career interest of students of the Semarang City Islamic Banking Study Program in Islamic Banking both simultaneously and partially. The population in this study were students of the Islamic Banking Study Program in Semarang City. Using a sampling technique, namely purposive and accidental sampling, 100 respondents met the criteria. The data used in this study are primary data obtained through distributing questionnaires. The analysis model used in this study is a multiple linear regression analysis model. In contrast, the analysis technique uses the F statistical test, the coefficient of determination (R2) test, and the t statistical test, which is processed using the SPSS 25.00 program. The hypothesis proving and discussion results show that Islamic Banking Knowledge, Social Values, Religiosity, and Perceptions significantly affect student career interest in Islamic Banking. Sharia Banking Knowledge and Social Values partially have a positive effect but do not substantially affect student career interest in Islamic Banking. Religiosity partially has a positive and significant impact on student career interest in Islamic Banking. Perception partially has a positive and significant effect on students' career interest in Islamic Banking.</p>

Silibus Kursus Mustalah Al-Hadis: Kajian Perbandingan Terhadap Penerimaan Pelajar Di Institut Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) Islam

Mustalah al-Hadis is one of the courses in the Core component of Islamic Studies program offered at the Public Higher Education Institutions (IPTA) or Private Higher Education Institutions (IPTS) in Malaysia. The exposure of basic sciences of hadith in this course is able to strengthen the understanding of the hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW, which is significant as the second source of legislation in Islam. In order to ensure that the learning process goes more smoothly in line with the development of the 21st Century Learning (PAK-21) and as a response to the challenges of Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the educational aspect, the Mustalah al-Hadis course is also not left behind in the Malaysia’s flow of education. Therefore, this article aims to examine students’ acceptance of the Mustalah al-Hadith course syllabus offered at Islamic Higher Education Institutions in northern Malaysia, namely Kolej Universiti Islam Perlis (KUIPs), Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Mua’dzam Shah (UniSHAMS) and Kolej Islam Teknologi Antarabangsa (KITAB), Pulau Pinang. This qualitative study takes the form of interviews, observations and document analysis involving lecturers and students taking the Mustalah al-Hadis course. The findings of the study can be concluded that the students’ acceptance of the Mustalah al-Hadis course syllabus depends on the educational background and the students’ determination to learn this course as well as the teaching methodology applied by the course lecturer.

Impacts of Learning Interest and Parental Support on Academic Performance of Secondary School Students of Islamic Studies in Lagos

This study investigates the impacts of learning Interest and parental support on academic performance of secondary school students in Islamic Religious Studies in Lagos State. The study descriptive survey with the population consisting of all 68 public senior secondary schools in Lagos state Education District V and 31,703 Islamic Religious Studies Students. A Sample of 400 SS II Islamic religious studies students were selected using Krejcie and Morgan Sampling Template in 10 randomly selected schools for this study. Descriptive analysis was used to answer the research questions and lineal Regression was used to test hypotheses. The study found that the level of learning interest, parental support and academic performance were all high among senior secondary schools Islamic Studies Students in Lagos State. Also, the learning interest and parental support does not have significant influence on the Academic Performance of senior secondary schools Islamic Studies Students in Lagos State. Based on these findings, it was recommended among others that students should show high level of learning interest and commitment in the study of Islamic studies; Parents and guardians should show high level of parental support to their children, in order to reinforce learning and enhance their academic performance.

Analisa Kesalahan Ejaan Berbahasa Dalam Skripsi Mahasiswa PGMI STAI Barumun Raya Sibuhuan

The problem in this research is that there are still students who still make mistakes in writing their thesis and also in using punctuation marks and the solution that the researcher provides is to upload the file to Google Drive and carry out analysis using Google Doc. The objectives of this research are (1) To find out language spelling errors in preparing thesis proposals for PGMI STAIBR Sibuhuan students. (2) To find out writing errors in STAIBR Sibuhuan student theses. (3) To describe spelling errors in using capital letters, errors in using italics, and errors in using bold letters in PGMI STAIBR Sibuhuan student theses. In this research the author used a type of field research, the design used was qualitative research, namely research that produces data in the form of written or spoken words from the people being observed. The researcher checked the validity of the data by means of source triangulation and technical triangulation. Source triangulation is triangulation carried out by interviewing various sources, such as the head of the library and lecturers, students from the class of 2017. However, the results obtained must remain the same. Meanwhile, technical triangulation is triangulation carried out by researchers by collecting different data from the same source. By using triangulation techniques in data collection, the data obtained will be better and more certain. Analysis of capital letter errors in writing and italics in students' theses at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) Barumun Raya Islamic College (STAIBR) Sibuhuan. caused by errors in the use of capital letters as elements of the first letter of a word at the beginning of a sentence, the first letter of the name of a nation, ethnic group, and language. Analysis of errors in writing prepositions in, to and from students' theses at the Islamic High School Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI). Islam Barumun Raya (STAIBR) Sibuhuan is due to ignorance that the writing must be written separately from the words of its followers or a combination of words that are commonly considered as one word. Analysis of errors in the use of punctuation marks in students' theses at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) Barumun Islamic College Raya (STAIBR) Sibuhuan errors which include errors in the use of the period punctuation mark (.), errors in the use of the comma punctuation mark (,), errors in the use of the colon (:), and errors in the use of the question mark (?) errors. Punctuation errors are caused by differences in perception in the use of punctuation marks in accordance with EYD guidelines.
 

Analisis Pengembangan Minat, Bakat, dan Karakter Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 2 Muara Sugihan melalui Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Rohani Islam

The background in this research is to find out how the interests, talents, and character of students through Islamic Spiritual extracurricular activities at SMAN 2 Muara Sugihan. Islamic spiritual extracurricular activities aim to form students with Islamic character as well as efforts to motivate the practice of worship in schools. The formulation of the problem in this study is how are the interests, talents, and character of the students of SMAN 2 Muara Sugihan through Islamic Spiritual extracurricular activities. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. Research instruments using observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. And data analysis using reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results showed that Islamic Spiritual extracurricular activities carried out at SMAN 2 Muara Sugihan were good enough to develop students' abilities in terms of interests, talents and student character. It can be seen from the process of implementing Islamic Spiritual extracurricular activities itself where there are several programs from daily programs (Dhuha and Dzuhur Prayers in congregation and reading the Qur'an), weekly programs (Islamic Studies, Muhadhoroh, Qiro'ah, Friday Prayers in congregation, and cleaning the prayer room), monthly program (dhikr in congregation), and annual program (celebration of Islamic holidays). These programs make students more interested in developing the abilities they have.

Concept of Nafs in the Alquran

Psychology is a science that studies human experiences, such as feelings, five senses, thoughts, and will. Islamic psychology studies convey problems regarding human psychology, inner intricacies, and ruhual solutions that refer to Islamic normative law. The Quran commentary on human physique includes insane, ins, nas, or some basyar, and sons of Adam or Adam's descendants. Meanwhile, mental or psychological studies are broader, starting from nafs, ar-ruh, al-qalb, and al-'aql. This research aims to explain the concept nafs or human qalb, ruh, al-qalb, 'aql, and its relationship in the Alquran. This research uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach, all data is taken from various sources originating from psychology books, religious psychology books, the Alquran, theories, and expert opinions. All data that has been collected is then analyzed thematically, in other words, the themes that have been obtained are described comprehensively and in-depth. To make it more interesting, all themes from the results of this research will be discussed with the results of studies by previous researchers and qalb issues in the Alquran. This research gets results that concepts and relationships nafs (qalb) with ruh, qalb, and aql in the structure of human personality which becomes the ruhual substance in human formation. Nafs is an element formed from the entry of the qalb into the human body. Because it has elements of the hereafter and the worldly, then the qalb tends to do good and bad by using the aql. Therefore, man must guide his qalb with a clear qalb. The implications of this research are to provide reading material that helps readers understand it.

Hadis dan Media Sosial sebagai Alat Da’wah di Instagram: Study Ilmu Hadis

Social media that requires a network makes a new life for its users in the current millennial era. The purpose of this study is to see the study of hadith in social media used as a tool of da'wah in Islam, the research methodology uses descriptive analysis. The study of hadith in Instagram as a social media is used as a connector for Islamic da'wah. The results in this study are divided into three categories. First, the delivery of the hadith only includes a translation without showing the original editorial which is claimed to be from the prophet, after examining the accounts of Islamic studies, there are actually many hadiths that are not in accordance with the history and make false hadiths. Second, conveying the hadith by including the source of the hadith but leading to other sources so that the true meaning of the hadith as da'wah is used for worldly purposes. Third, conveying hadith in social media purely because of Allah and setting the hadith of the prophet in its place so that the truth of da'wah is conveyed to people who see it in the media. Therefore in taking news in the media must be careful to see the truth.

The burden of drug abuse: Predictors of prescription drug abuse among women in Northern Nigeria. A systematic review

IntroductionThe North-Eastern, North-Western, and North-Central cities in Nigeria comprise of 19 states, each with its own governor. With over 400 ethnicities in the country, Northern Nigeria is home to many ethnic groups nearly half of whom are the Hausa-Fulani whose main religion is Islam. Practices in Northern Nigeria has favoured polygamy, early child marriage, and a lack of desire for western education while encouraging the strictly Islamic studies especially among the Hausa/Fulanis. Northern Nigeria is also known for its gender inequality and poverty. Prescription drug abuse has become more common in recent years even among women in Northern Nigeria. ObjectivesThis study's objectives include finding out the predicting factors to entry into prescription drug use among women in Northern Nigeria. Highlighting the causes of growing numbers in prescription drug abuse as well as recommending solutions in form of preventative measures. MethodsEight articles were selected after being critically appraised for this study following a set of inclusion and exclusion criteria. For this mixed method Systematic Review (SR), a thematic analysis was used for the results and findings. ResultsThis research shows that some of the factors in the rise of prescription drug abuse among women in Northern Nigeria include: unemployment, insurgency due to the activities of violent extremist organization—Boko Haram—in the Northern region, as well as family dynamics which involves family history of drug misuse, early marriage, and a lack of education. ConclusionUnderstanding the factors influencing women into drug use in Northern Nigeria can help end the cycle. This study suggests recommendations to prompt a decline in the rising numbers of prescription drug use among women in Northern Nigeria.

The Influence Of The Modern Islamic Education Movement On The Development Of Islamic Thought In Indonesian The Perspective Of The Quran (Study Of Al-Qur'an Letter Ar-Ra'd Verse 11)

This discussion will talk about the organic link between the modern Islamic movement in Indonesia and the development of Islamic thought as we are witnessing it today in Indonesia. Arabic and Islamic Studies Teachers and Career Problems in Nigeria

Arabic language its teachers and intellectuals have been facing difficulties and obstacles for a long time in Nigeria, and these difficulties are often related to their profession, Unfortunately, this language has encountered obstacles that impede its tremendous growth and development, Professional problems are among the most challenges facing many teachers of Arabic and Islamic studies in the country. These challenges started from the Nigerian educational policy, where the Arabic language was placed in third place among the foreign languages used in the country, despite the large number of Muslims and those interested in the Arabic language, This is due to the lackadasical attitude of government towards Arabic and Islamic studies teachers, and for this reason it is difficult for them to compete side by side with their counterparts from other fields in terms of professional development. On that basis, this paper aims to discuss the professional problems and obstacles bedeviling Arabic and Islamic studies teachers in Nigeria, and also intends to bring forward some solutions and way forward to that obstacles.

Analisis Respon Mahasiswa Terhadap Pembelajaran Menggunakan Media Youtube Pada Mata Kuliah Bahasa Indonesia

The digital era, as we are currently experiencing, has made all lines of life visible in the digital world. Most people can definitely access YouTube. Until now, YouTube has become the social media network that is most in demand by adults and even children. Can not be separated in the world of education itself, teaching staff can really take advantage of this media to support teaching and learning activities. The formulation of the problem in this study is how students respond to learning using YouTube Media as a teaching medium in Indonesia language, analyzing how students' interest and motivation in learning introductory education courses. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were 32 students in semester 1 of the Islamic religious education study program in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 cademic year. This study aims to describe the perceptions of Unsulbar students towards YouTube media and the effects that arise after accessing learning materials through YouTube media. As many as 90.3% of 32 students stated that they liked YouTube media to be used as a learning medium and this research can provide an empirical basis for the benefits of YouTube developed by lecturers as a learning medium in introductory lectures and other courses in tertiary institutions

The intention of university students to donate at zakat institution through digital payment

IntroductionTechnological developments have led to several changes, one of which is the massive use of digital payments as a payment method. LAZIS Unisia has the potential to raise funds from stakeholders, including lecturers, students, alumni, and partners.ObjectivesThis study analyzes factors influencing university students' intention to donate through digital payments at LAZIS Unisia. MethodThe convenience sampling technique is used to collect primary data via an online questionnaire. The respondents are 104 students of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), one of the internal stakeholders at UII. The method of data analysis is PLS-SEM using the SEMinR package in R software.ResultsThis study found that social influence and price values significantly affect the UII students' interest in donating through digital payments at LAZIS Unisia, while the rest of the independent variables are not. This study also found that intention significantly relates to actual behavior. Respondents outside the university also need to be considered for similar research. ImplicationsThe results of this study can be suggestions for LAZIS Unisia to improve engagement on donation from stakeholders in UII.Originality/NoveltyThis study is a pioneer in understanding the stakeholders' intention, especially students as internal stakeholder, to donate through digital payment at the stakeholders' institution. In addition to the UTAUT2 model, this study adds brand awareness and perceived security as independent variables.

University students’ wellbeing and mental health during COVID-19: An online photovoice approach

The pandemic has had a multifaceted impact on individuals of all age groups, giving rise to a myriad of psychological challenges and problems. This effect has been particularly pronounced among university students who harbor concerns about their education and future prospects. In these trying times of COVID-19, it is of paramount importance to discern the factors that bolster or impede the mental health and overall well-being of college students. This knowledge serves as the foundation for delivering preventive and interventional support services. The objective of this study was to identify the biopsychosocial, spiritual, and economic factors that either enhance or hinder the lives of students specializing in Islamic sciences during the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this, the Online Photovoice (OPV) method was employed. The study engaged 108 participants (68 female and 40 male) from an Islamic Studies Department in Turkey. The findings revealed 27 factors that facilitated well-being, including elements such as the beauty of nature, positive emotions, and the support of family and relatives. Conversely, 27 factors were identified as non-facilitating, including issues like inadequate planning and communication, confinement indoors, and the experience of negative emotions. Professionals working with college students can leverage these insights to better serve their needs and address the challenges they face.
