Analisis Kebijakan Otonomi Daerah dalam Peningkatan Kualitas Pelayanan dalam Tinjauan Islam

The aim of this research is to analyze the regional autonomy policy to improve the quality of public service in the Islamic perspective. Regional autonomy as a policy of decentralization gives authority to local governments to self-regulate regional affairs, with the aim of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of service to local communities. In Islamic terms, the concept of leadership and public service is strongly based on the principles of justice, trust, and the well-being of the people (maslaha). This study uses a method of literature study used to examine articles published in scientific journals at a particular time to find out how Islamic principles can be applied in the context of regional autonomy policy in Indonesia. Research results show that the implementation of Islamic values in regional autonomy policies can improve the quality of public service by strengthening accountability, transparency, and public participation. Furthermore, the implementation of a policy based on Islamic doctrine can encourage the formation of a government that is more responsive and accountable to the needs and wishes of local communities. The study concludes that there is great potential for achieving better public service through the synergy of regional autonomy policies and Islamic principles.

Profit-loss sharing principle in the Islamic finance industry: Current pattern and future direction

The Islamic banking and finance industry is founded on Islamic principles, with one of its main concepts being Profit-Loss Sharing (PLS). The rapid growth of the industry has led to extensive research on PLS. This study aims to capture the dynamic research landscape on PLS by examining the intellectual network, including the most influential scholars, countries, articles, publishing journals, and frequently discussed topics, as well as suggesting future research directions. We use bibliometric analysis to explore this topic, drawing data from the Scopus database. A total of 421 documents from 1992-2022 were analyzed. The study finds that Malaysia is the most productive country, Kabir Hassan is the most influential scholar, and the Journal of Islamic Accounting is the leading journal in the field. Four main topics are identified: the general theme of PLS, the implementation of PLS in different countries, PLS products, and governance and risk related to PLS. Future research is recommended based on these four topics.

Organizational Culture as a Catalyst for Literacy Development in Islamic Boarding School

Organizational culture in Islamic boarding schools plays a crucial role in improving students' literacy. Identifying the most influential cultural elements can help develop strategies to strengthen literacy skills among students. This study aims to analyze the role of organizational culture in promoting students' literacy in Islamic boarding schools. The research method used is qualitative, with a case study approach involving interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model includes data reduction, systematic data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that a conducive learning environment in Islamic boarding schools, strengthening sustainable literacy programs, effective collaboration with external partners, and developing values and norms by Islamic boarding school principles significantly contribute to improving students' literacy. These findings emphasize the importance of a holistic approach involving various aspects of organizational culture to achieve better student literacy outcomes. This study provides implications for Islamic boarding school management's importance in strengthening cultural elements that support literacy. In addition to providing new insights, this study contributes significantly to educational policies in Islamic boarding schools.

Navigating the Adoption of Islamic Banking in the Base of Pyramid Market of Pakistan

The purpose of this research paper is to examine the adoption of Islamic banking (AIB) in the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP) Market of Pakistan. The study used theory of planned behavior to hypothesize the relationship of the attitude (ATT), subjective norms (SN), perceived behavioral control (PBC), and Islamicity of the Product (IoP) on adoption of Islamic Banking (IB). Exploratory research design was used with a total of 400 questionnaires were distributed using a multi-staged stratified sampling (random sampling within each stratum) approach of which 320 usable questionnaires were returned representing 80 percent response rate. Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach was used to analyze the hypothesized relationship of the conceptual framework. Results indicated that attitude (ATT), subjective norms (SN), and Islamicity of product (IoP) explained notable effect on the adoption of Islamic banking comparatively the perceived behavioral control (PBC). The overall effect of ATT, SN, PBC, and IoP explained 39.3 percent on AIB within the context of BoP. The adoption of Islamic banking counts the aforementioned variables with their countable effects. The inclusive outreach and features explaining the Islamicity of the financial products can enhance the span Islamic banking market share. Islamic banking over the past decade has witnessed tremendous growth in Asian countries due to innovative financial offerings based on the Sharia Principles of Islam. This study contributed on how the Islamic financial products can be penetrated in the low-income markets like Pakistan with its specific focus in Southern region of the Punjab province. The theoretical framework of the study has demonstrated how the customer closely associated behaviors navigate the adoption of the Islamic banking.

Assessing Medical Students' Understanding of Do-Not-Resuscitate (DNR) Orders.

The evolution of medical directives surrounding cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) has led to the prominence of do-not-resuscitate (DNR) orders. These orders aim to respect patient autonomy and ensure dignified end-of-life care. While regulations in the United States emphasize patient choice and comprehensive discussions, Saudi Arabia's approach to DNR orders integrates Islamic principles alongside expert medical judgment. This study aimed to assess the awareness and comprehension of DNR orders among medical students at Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This study employed a cross-sectional design at Umm Al-Qura University in 2023. Convenience sampling yielded a sample of 145 participants, encompassing medical students from all years (first-sixth) and medical interns. A self-administered online questionnaire assessed participants' knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes regarding DNR orders. The questionnaire specifically addressed their familiarity with DNR orders, their understanding of the Islamic perspective on DNR, and the factors influencing their attitudes toward DNR. Results: The majority of respondents (62%) were familiar with the term "DNR," but only 52% correctly defined it. Social media was the primary source of information about DNR for most respondents (56%). A significant portion of respondents (60.7%) agreed with the concept of DNR, and 54% had personal experience with the term. Patient dignity (54%), religious concerns (66.7%), and legal concerns (60.7%) were identified as important factors in DNR decisions. A majority of respondents (67%) agreed that it is acceptable to discontinue life support for DNR patients, and 49.3% believed that organ donation should be encouraged among patient families. The study found that as medical students progressed through their training (from pre-clinical to clinical years and internship), their acceptance and understanding of DNR orders generally increased. The study found that medical students possess some basic familiarity with DNR orders, but there is considerable room for advancement in their comprehension and acceptance of the topic. Addressing these knowledge gaps may lead to improved patient outcomes. The findings also underscore the need to equip future physicians with a comprehensive understanding of DNR orders, their ethical ramifications, and effective communication strategies for engaging with patients and their families.

SYARIAH STOCKS: A NORMATIVE ANALYSIS OF ISLAMIC LAW AND INVESTMENT PRACTICES IN INDONESIA

Syariah stocks have recently gained attention in the Islamic community, which relies on Shariah principles to guide investment decisions. Islam emphasizes the importance of profitable investments that benefit all parties involved, while prohibiting investments that involve uncertainty or exploitation. This article provides an overview of the position of stock shares in Islamic law. Using a normative legal research method, this study analyzed the relevant Islamic texts, including the Quran, Hadith, and Fatwas issued by scholars. Syariah stocks are specifically designed to meet the requirements of Islamic law, which emphasizes transparency, fairness, and ethics in financial transactions. The National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulama Assembly (DSN MUI) issued a Fatwa No. 80/DSN-MUI/III of 2011, outlining the implementation of Islamic principles in equity securities trading. The Fatwa stipulates that the means of payment must be known in terms of amount and form, whether in the form of money or goods, and that there should be no payment in the form of debt. Additionally, the time and place of delivery must be clearly specified based on the agreement between parties. This type of contract involves multiple parties, including banking institutions, and must be conducted in accordance with Islamic principles. The Fatwa has contributed to clarifying the terms of stock trading under Islamic law, providing a framework for Syariah stocks to operate within the boundaries of Islamic law.

Comparative Study of Consumption Theories: The Perspective of John Maynard Keynes and Monzer Kahf

This study aims to compare the consumption theories of John Maynard Keynes, a conventional economist, and Monzer Kahf, an Islamic economist. The main objective is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each approach while emphasizing how both theories contribute to economic growth and stability. This study uses a qualitative methodology, thoroughly analyzing primary and secondary sources on the works of both economists. Through comparative analysis, this study evaluates the core concepts and assumptions of each theory. The findings show that Keynes' approach is concerned with individual consumption and its impact on savings and economic growth, while Kahf's theory encourages consumption for the collective good in accordance with Islamic principles. The study concludes that combining elements of both theories can offer a more balanced approach, which at the same time enhances social welfare and economic stability.

Revolutionizing Islamic Curriculum in Enabling Sustainable Futures through SDGs

This study aims to explore and enhance the integration of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into Islamic education curricula, which is rooted in values such as justice, stewardship, and social welfare. Despite the global recognition of education as a key driver for sustainable development, the incorporation of SDGs into Islamic education remains underdeveloped. Through qualitative analysis and phenomena studies in Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. Data were collected based on literature descriptions from national and international research results. This study identifies examples of successful SDGs integration and challenges that still exist, including resistance to change, resource constraints, and lack of understanding of the SDGs. The findings contribute to the development of a framework for embedding SDG content within Islamic curricula, advocating for active learning methods and collaboration with international organizations to exchange best practices. This research not only bridges the gap between Islamic principles and SDGs but also provides a foundation for more effective and sustainable implementation in Islamic educational institutions globally.

Digawa Community: Their Beliefs and Opinions: A Critical Analytical Study in Light of Islamic Sharia

This study examines the Digawa group in northern Nigeria, particularly in Jigawa State, known for their distinct beliefs and practices among Muslims. The research critically analyzes their history, divisions, and socio-economic impact to differentiate acceptable beliefs from those deemed rejected. Utilizing descriptive, analytical, field, and critical methods, the study references the sayings of Digawa leaders and Islamic Sharia texts. The Digawa are divided into praying (Qadiriyya and Mahdiyya) and non-praying sections, each with unique practices such as strict confinement of women, prohibition of music, and specific burial customs. The findings reveal significant deviations from mainstream Islamic scholarship, emphasizing the need for informed intervention to guide the Digawa towards more universally accepted practices. This analysis is supported by the Islamic principle of Ijtihad, which allows for interpretation and adaptation of Islamic teachings to ensure alignment with the core values and broader consensus within the Muslim ummah.

Management Principles from an Islamic Perspective: Exploration of the Interpretation of the Qur'an

This research aims to explore and analyze the managerial principles contained in the Al-Qur'an using an interpretive approach, as well as their relevance to modern managerial practice. Management, as a rapidly developing scientific discipline, is often understood from a Western perspective, while the Islamic perspective in management has not been widely explored. Through literature study and qualitative analysis of Al-Qur'an interpretations, this research identifies key principles in Islamic management, such as justice, trust, responsibility and ethical leadership. The research results show that these principles offer comprehensive and relevant guidance for resource management and leadership in the context of modern organizations. The managerial principles in the Qur'an not only provide direction in terms of strategic decisions but also emphasize the importance of the moral and spiritual dimensions in management. This research provides new insights for academics and practitioners in understanding and applying Islamic managerial principles, as well as suggesting the integration of these principles in contemporary managerial practice.

Analysis of Legal Studies on The Implementation of Qardh Bisyarti Rahni Products At KSPPS BMT USA Jepara

This study aims to analyze the legal review of the implementation of the Qardh Bisyarti Rahni product at KSPPS BMT USA Jepara. In addition, this study is expected to provide a better understanding of the efforts that need to be made to ensure legal compliance and operational sustainability of Islamic microfinance institutions. Qardh Bisyarti Rahni is one of the Islamic financial products implemented in Islamic microfinance institutions, which provides usury-free financing for the community. This study is important to ensure that the implementation of this product is in accordance with Islamic principles and does not violate applicable legal provisions. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of related documents. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Qardh Bisyarti Rahni product at KSPPS BMT USA Jepara has complied with applicable legal provisions and Islamic principles. However, there are several challenges that need to be considered, such as a lack of in-depth understanding of the legal aspects of Islamic law and changes in regulations related to Islamic finance.

The Synergy Between Fintech and Islamic Banking: Expanding Access to Financial Inclusion

This study aims to examine how the synergy between Fintech and Islamic banking can expand inclusive financial access in Indonesia. Through a literature review, this research identifies the role of Fintech in digital finance based on Islamic principles and the integration of the economic ecosystem. The findings indicate that the synergy between these two sectors holds significant potential for enhancing financial inclusion. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including regulations that have not fully accommodated innovation and the need for improved digital financial literacy. The study concludes that the synergy between Fintech and Islamic banking is a strategic step towards achieving inclusive financial goals in Indonesia, but it requires support from various stakeholders to overcome the existing challenges.

Psychological Interventions to Enhance Self-Efficacy and Motivation in Libyan Students

Extensive research shows that higher self-efficacy is associated with increased motivation, perseverance, and academic success; however, there is a notable gap in understanding how these constructs interact within the unique context of Libyan higher education. This study explores the relationship between self-efficacy and motivation among university students in Libya, where cultural norms, Islamic principles, and socio-political factors deeply influence educational practices. To address this issue, the study employed a cross-sectional design and collected data through self-administered questionnaires from students at major universities in Libya. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression techniques to examine the strength and direction of the relationship between self-efficacy and student motivation. The findings revealed a significant positive correlation between these two variables, indicating that students with higher levels of self-efficacy are more motivated in their academic pursuits. Furthermore, the multiple regression analysis identified self-efficacy as a significant predictor of student motivation, explaining 46% of the variance observed in the sample. These results underscore the critical role of self-efficacy in fostering student motivation within the Libyan educational context. The findings suggest that targeted interventions to enhance self-efficacy could significantly improve educational outcomes. The findings provide a foundation for future research and the development of educational strategies tailored to the specific needs of Libyan students, thus contributing valuable insights to the broader literature on self-efficacy and motivation in higher education.

This assistance aims to analyze Penghulu's Islamic Communication Assistance Strategy in Providing Premarital Guidance to Create a Sakinah Mawaddah Warahmah (Samara) Family in Kua Tanjung Morawa. The approach uses PAR (Participatory Action Research). The Islamic communication assistance strategy implemented by the headmen at KUA Tanjung Morawa in providing pre-marital guidance plays a very important role in creating a Sakinah Mawaddah Warahmah (SAMARA) family. The approach used includes a deep understanding of Islamic values, effective communication techniques, as well as empathy and emotional support for prospective bride and groom couples. Through structured guidance and based on Islamic principles, the bride and groom are able to help prospective bride and groom couples understand the importance of commitment, mutual understanding and cooperation in building a harmonious family, so that the goal of achieving a sakinah, mawaddah and warahmah family can be realized more fully real.

The Role of Social Media in Building Islamic Banking Consumer Engagement: Analysing the Impact of Brand Personality Traits and Brand Love

This study aims to shed light on the role of social media in building consumer engagement and examines the impact of Islamic brand personality traits on electronic word-of-mouth and brand trust in the context of social media engagement behaviour within Islamic online banking. To assess the proposed model a sample of 665 users was recruited. The results show that the brand personality traits of Islamic brands within the context of the Islamic banking sector have a positive impact on brand trust and electronic word of mouth when mediated by brand love. This study addresses this gap in research by examining the impact of Islamic brand personality traits and brand love on electronic word-of-mouth and brand trust in Palestine. These results underline the importance of considering the alignment of brand personality traits with Islamic principles in fostering engagement and trust towards the brand.

Tinjauan Hukum Pidana Islam terhadap Tindakan Tidak Melaporkan Transaksi Narkotika

Ideally, reporting narcotics transactions is a moral and legal obligation to maintain the safety and welfare of the community. However, in practice, many individuals fail to report such actions, creating gaps in law enforcement and community protection efforts. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Islamic Criminal Law perspective on the failure to report narcotics transactions and assess the extent to which Islamic principles such as Maṣlaḥah Mursalah, Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Munkar, and Islamic ethics and morality are applicable. The research methodology employed is a qualitative approach with library research and normative analysis. The study finds that the failure to report narcotics transactions contradicts the principle of Maṣlaḥah Mursalah, which prioritizes public interest and community safety. Additionally, such actions violate the principle of Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Munkar, which calls for the prevention of wrongdoing. The research also reveals that this non-compliance is inconsistent with Islamic ethics and morality, which emphasize individual responsibility in promoting the common good and protecting the community from harm.

Eco-Maqāṣid in Climate Change Campaigns: From an Ecolinguistics Study to the Philosophy of Islamic Law

This article aims to uncover ‘eco-maqāṣid’, an Islamic legal philosophy related to environmental awareness. Using a multimodality approach, the study begins by understanding the textual and visual meaning of climate change campaigns with Islamic themes on the @greenpeace.id Instagram account. The data were further explored through ecolinguistic studies to reveal The Stories We Live By, Ecological Philosophy (ecosophy), and Maqāṣid al-Sharī’ah. The findings show that the type of story constructed through the representation of the relationship between images and text is predominantly in the category of Salience, highlighting the importance of maqāṣid principles to environmental aspects. The principle of hifz al-nafs supports the promotion of environmental sustainability to protect Muslim health from the impacts of climate change. Hifz al-māl plays a role in the efforts of mitigation and adaptation to the threats of climate change to protect the assets and economic well-being of Muslim communities. Hifz al-nasl is related to the sustainable prese­­­rvation of Islamic rituals, holidays, and cultural traditions. Meanwhile, hifz al-dīn is reflected in the endeavor to care for the environment as a religious duty manifested from Quranic verses and Hadith. Hifz al-‘aql resonates with strengthening environmental education through Ulama advice and Islamic ethics. Finally, all ḍarūriyyāt al-khams advocates for the protection of all elements in nature. This integration of maqāṣid into ecosophy illustrates how Islamic principles guide environmental management against climate change, creating a framework called ‘eco-maqāṣid’.
