Islamic Education Program Approach to Islamic Personality Development

The development of science and technology, on the other hand, raises new problems in the world of education in higher education, especially the behavior shown by students with the rampant consumption of alcohol, drugs, promiscuous behavior, and abortion, which is undeniable evidence of the negative impact of scientific and technological progress. This research aims to analyze the Islamic education program's approach towards Islamic personality development in Miftahul Khoir Student Boarding School Bandung. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were conducted by means of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Based on the results of the study, the Islamic education program at PPM Miftahul Khoir has a distinctive feature by referencing four main concepts in designing Islamic education programs, namely first getting to know the basics of boarding school science. Second, Tafaqquh Fiddīn. Third, leadership and entrepreneurship. Fourth, adab and ethics. This concept makes the program at PPM Miftahul Khoir different from Islamic education programs in Salafi boarding schools in general and other student boarding schools. The Islamic education program at PPM Miftahul Khoir will support the implementation of the objectives of Islamic education at PPM Miftahul Khoir, because the program is made by the educational objectives it wants to achieve. The Islamic education program at PPM Miftahul Khoir is divided into two program scopes: the program listed in the syllabus and the non-syllabus program.

Fostering Faithful Praxis: Tracing Educators’ Affective Turning Points in an Australian Islamic Teacher Education Program

There has been a rise in Islamic schools in Australia, a trend similarly seen in other Western countries, and yet limited opportunities for teacher preparation on what it means to impart an Islamically grounded education. This study utilizes qualitative research methods, specifically portraiture to shed light on the experiences of in-service Islamic school educators, with varied backgrounds and religious affiliations in a cohort of the Graduate Certificate in Education (Islamic Education) program in Australia. This faith-based teacher education program aims to foster “faithful praxis”, and recenter the Divine in teaching and learning. The research focused on analysing transformative affective shifts as reflected in the program’s final portfolios. Portraits of four participants reflect a reconceptualization of education as a holistic process that aims to nurture the whole student: mind, body, and soul. The portraits also highlight awakening experiences that signify the role of reflexivity and self-reflection of the educator so that educational renewal is of the whole collective in the school community. Implications of this study signify the role of spirituality in teaching and learning and the importance of moving beyond conventional and secular models of teacher education programs.

Management of Muslim converts in Lebak Banten by YASMUI, Muhammadiyah, and Al Washliyah

The major challenges faced by Baduy converts in understanding and practicing Islam are due to limited access to formal Islamic education and the encroachment of Christian missionary activities. The purpose of this study is to explore and evaluate the effectiveness of Islamic philanthropy programs conducted by institutions such as YASMUI, Muhammadiyah, and Al-Washliyah in fostering the religious and social welfare of Baduy converts. This research uses a qualitative, descriptive-analytical research method, with a focus on the long-term sustainability of converts' development programs. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results show that Islamic education and social-humanitarian programs have had a positive impact on the religious understanding and social conditions of the Baduy converts. Collaboration between Islamic philanthropic organizations and the government is essential in providing free education facilities and social welfare services. The implication of the research shows that to optimize the sustainability and impact of these programs, continuous collaboration between the government and Islamic philanthropic institutions is essential. This includes the provision of formal education, health services and economic empowerment initiatives. In addition, this research highlights the need for improved infrastructure and support from the government to face the challenges posed by Christian missionary activities and to improve the overall welfare of the Baduy community.

Design of Android-Based PAI Learning Media Using Mit App Inventor in Class X SMAN 1 Pasaman Regency

This research focuses on the problem of limited use of technology in Islamic religious education media which was previously used at SMAN 1 Panti. The aim of using Mit App Inventor in the learning media for the Android-based Islamic Religious Education program is to help teachers maximize the use of Mit App Inventor in teaching media and increase student motivation in taking Islamic Education lessons. This research uses any recognized research and development methodology. In this research, the author uses the 4D design paradigm, Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The results of this study use the Aikens V hypothesis for assessing validity, the Moment Kappa hypothesis for assessing practice, and the R.Hake hypothesis (G-Score) for assessing effectiveness. Validity test results with a minimum score of 0.87 indicate the test is valid. Effectiveness testing which is said to be "Very Effective" is valid with a value of 0.83, is said to be "High" and product practicality testing is obtained with a value of 0.90. This research shows that using Mit App Inventor as an Android-based Islamic Religious Education platform is very effective.

Menapaki Jejak Kebangkitan Pendidikan Islam di Era Pasca Reformasi (1998-2000): Sebuah Kajian Historis

The history of Islamic education in Indonesia spans from the arrival of Islam and has been influenced by government policies and socio-political dynamics. The Reform era brought significant changes in efforts to renew Islamic education to meet contemporary needs and strengthen Indonesia's national identity. Islamic organizations such as Salafi (Wahhabi), integrated Islamic schools, and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) have influenced Islamic educational policies. The research method employed was literature review, a qualitative approach relying on theoretical analysis from scholarly literature. The conclusion highlights that Salafi ideology underpins the establishment of educational institutions and foundations involved in disseminating Wahhabi doctrine through preaching and book publication. This movement has also influenced the formation of Islamic movements in Indonesia. Integrated Islamic schools, pioneered by activists from various campuses, emerged partly due to concerns over children's moral conduct and inadequate parental supervision. Significant changes and reforms include curriculum improvements, enhancement of teacher quality, and educational policies affecting the national education system. The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), starting from nurturing cadres and campus preaching, has evolved into a influential political force. PKS has laid a strong foundation for Islamic education programs and social initiatives. The influence of PKS is evident in improving the quality of Islamic education at elementary and secondary levels, as well as in shaping a strong Islamic identity among educated middle-class communities.

Persepsi Mahasiswa dalam Pembelajaran Berbasis E-Learning pada Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam

This research was designed to find out how Islamic school students feel about e-learning. This research examines how students interpret e-learning, how they use it, and potential opportunities. Remarkable openings and challenges associated with e-learning in understanding learning. This research plan consists of a subjective descriptive examination. Students at Sunan Giri Surabaya College, namely the Islamic education program which is strictly focused on this program, is the subject of the exam. The research results show that there are both opportunities and challenges in implementing internet-based learning. Thus, the results of this research provide a comprehensive picture of how Islamic Religious Education students view e-learning. This can be used as a useful reference for building more innovative and flexible learning methods in the future.

Perspectives of 2022 Islamic Education Students on the Utilization of Canva as a Multimedia Presentation-Based Learning Media

This research aims to explore and depict the perspectives of students from the Islamic Education Program (PAI) Class of 2022 regarding the utilization of Canva as a multimedia presentation-based learning tool. In this study, a narrative inquiry method is employed as a qualitative approach to delve into the stories and experiences of students using Canva. The data collection process involves discussions and interviews, which are then analyzed through a narrative analysis approach. The research findings provide significant insights into how students perceive Canva as a multimedia presentation learning tool and to what extent this can enhance the quality of learning in the PAI environment. The implications of the findings support the use of Canva as a potential tool to improve the effectiveness of learning in the digital era. It is expected that this research will make a positive contribution to the development of innovative and engaging learning strategies for students in the PAI Class of 2022.

The Effect of Islamic Financial Socialization and Education on Public Interest in Using Islamic Banking Services

This study used SPSS analysis tool to investigate the effect of Islamic financial socialization and education on public interest in using Islamic banking services, involving a sample of 66 respondents in two major cities in Indonesia. A survey method with a questionnaire was used to collect data, which was then statistically analyzed using SPSS. The results of data analysis showed that Islamic financial socialization and education had a significant positive impact on increasing public interest in Islamic banking services. This finding confirms that an effective educational approach in improving the understanding of Islamic finance principles, such as profit-sharing and the prohibition of riba (interest), plays an important role in supporting the growth of the Islamic banking sector in Indonesia. Consequently, Islamic banks and financial institutions need to continuously improve their Islamic financial socialization and education strategies to expand people's access to religiously-compliant financial services and to strengthen sustainable financial inclusion in the country. This study aims to explore the effect of Islamic financial socialization and education on people's interest in using Islamic banking services, using SPSS analysis tools and involving a sample of 66 respondents in two major cities in Indonesia. A questionnaire survey method was used to collect data covering respondents' perceptions and level of understanding of Islamic finance concepts. The collected data were then statistically analyzed using SPSS to evaluate the relationship between socialization and education variables with interest in using Islamic banking. The results showed that Islamic financial socialization and education had a significant impact on increasing public interest in Islamic banking services. More than 65% of respondents showed increased interest after being involved in the socialization and education program. This finding reinforces the importance of a comprehensive education strategy in explaining the principles of Islamic finance such as profit-sharing, prohibition of riba (interest), and transparency in financial practices. The implication of this study is the importance of Islamic banks and financial institutions to continue developing Islamic financial socialization and education programs as part of the effort to build public understanding and trust in Islamic financial products. This will not only support the growth of the Islamic banking sector in Indonesia, but also strengthen broader and more sustainable financial inclusion within it. As such, this study contributes to supporting sustainable economic development through the promotion and adoption of Islamic financial principles that are in line with religious values.

Dynamics of Non-Linear Student Motivation in Choosing the MPI Study Program at the Postgraduate Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang

This study emphasizes the dynamics driving non-linear students to choose the Management of Islamic Education (MPI) program at the Postgraduate School of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Often, these students lack a clear understanding of their reasons for selecting this program of study. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach involving in-depth interviews, the research explores the intrinsic and extrinsic motivational components influencing this decision. The findings indicate that students' personal interests, familial encouragement, career aspirations, and the influence of the academic environment shape their motivation. Hence, non-linear student motivation stems from a combination of internal factors, such as personal ambition and the need for self-development, and external factors, including family support and inspiration from successful individuals. Optimism, utilization of academic resources, and effective time management are additional factors driving adaptation within the academic environment. This provides program managers with practical insights to enhance their support for non-linear students.

Countering extremism through islamic education: Curriculum and pedagogical approaches

Enhancing Al-Quran Reading Proficiency in Higher Education: The implementation of the Focused Mad & Idgham Technique

The issue of students' weakness in Quranic reading has long been a concern in Islamic education, and it continues to persist. This study aims to innovate Quranic teaching techniques by focusing on Mad (elongation) and Idgham (merging) rules. The study examines students' motivation and involvement in Quranic reading activities and investigates their learning experiences. Twenty-nine Year 1 students and 22 students from the Islamic Education Programme, performing at medium and low levels, were selected to participate in the intervention. Data were collected and analysed by observing the students' Quranic recitations and reactions. The researcher introduced the Focused Mad (elongation) and Idgham (merging) technique (FMI) as a solution for improving Quranic reading. The findings revealed that some students in the Islamic education program still read the Quran at a less than satisfactory level. However, it was observed that students could read the Quran more effectively using the FMI technique as an intervention. The findings also indicated that the FMI technique can increase the motivation and involvement of learners in reading the Quran. Additionally, the positive perception of the FMI technique among students suggests its potential to enhance their learning experience in Quranic education, fostering engagement, comprehension, and confidence in Quranic recitation. Overall, the Focused Mad (elongation) and Idgham (merging) Technique (FMI) not only improves the ability to read the Quran but also boosts students' confidence and involvement in learning the Quran.

Lecturers’ Non-Verbal Communication during the English Lesson: Student Perceptions Study

To create effective teaching and learning, it is essential to comprehend students' perceptions. It assists lecturers in customizing their teaching strategies to fit the requirements and preferences of their students. This adaptation contributes to more effective instructional strategies, more student engagement, and a more successful learning experience for everyone involved in the classroom. The research focused on exploring the perceptions of nonverbal communication employed by English lecturers among first-semester students enrolled in the Islamic education program at STAIN Majene. The study used a descriptive quantitative design which involved 140 students across four classes, with 75 volunteered as samples. A questionnaire was used to collect data on various nonverbal communication cues, and descriptive quantitative analysis was conducted to gain insights. The results demonstrate that students have a positive perception of the use of nonverbal communication by English lecturers. It implies that students prefer dynamic and positive learning environment through appropriate use of this communication method in English lessons.

Analysis of Islamic Education Program at Taqwa Mosque Durian Village Medan

Islamic religious education programs are a form of real activities that are arranged systematically and integrated with the nuances of Islamic education. This study aims to gain a more detailed understanding of Islamic religious education programs at Taqwa Mosque so that it can be used as a reference for the public in designing Islamic education programs that are needed by the ummah in the future. In this study using descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observations and documentation studies. Then the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The findings in this study are that the Islamic religious education program at Taqwa Mosque Kampung Durian East Medan has five programs including: 1). Routine Study Program of Muhammadiyah Fathers; 2). Routine Study Program of 'Aisyiyah Mothers; 3). The recitation of Tahsin Al-Qur'an for children; 4). Muhammadiyah Youth Routine Study Program; 5). Friday Alms Routine Program. Of all routine Islamic religious education programs, it is carried out with the aim of meeting what Muslims need today in living the challenges of life in the futur.

IMPLEMENTATION OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT IN INTEGRATED ISLAMIC SCHOOLS IN SOUTHEAST SULAWESI

This study aims to determine the planning, implementation, and evaluation of implementing Islamic education curriculum development at integrated Islamic schools in Southeast Sulawesi. The method used in this study is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation; data is processed using data reduction, display, and verification. Data checking techniques use triangulation techniques, discussions with colleagues, and extending time in the field. The results show that the planning of the Islamic education program at integrated Islamic schools in Southeast Sulawesi is prepared at the beginning of each academic year and has been well implemented as an annual, semester, weekly, daily, enrichment, and remedial program. The curriculum implementation is carried out variably between the 2013 and independent learning curricula. Implementing the Islamic education curriculum in the classroom involves elements of educators, students, learning resources, and other supporting facilities and infrastructure. All subjects and all school activities are inseparable from the framework of Islamic teaching values. The excellence in implementing the Islamic education curriculum lies in additional activities such as Muhayyan, programmed sunnah fasting, memorization of six chosen surahs, and blessed Friday movements. The implementation of the Islamic Education curriculum can be evaluated by looking at four aspects: objectives, strategies, lesson content, and evaluation activities. Learning evaluation as a curriculum is implemented through formative, summative, and summative, with assessment targets covering cognitive, attitudinal, and skill domains.

Harmonization of Science and Religion as Problem Solving of Scientific Globalization and Humanitarian Crises

The development of science that has reached the global realm is currently in an unbalanced phase, the modern worldview that is actually able to harmonize science and religion actually refers more to the dominance of science, and sets aside religion, in this case Islam. UIN K.H Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan offers a new paradigm to overcome it, harmonization of science and religion. Therefore, the main focus of this research is how it works and its spelling in the academic world. To answer this problem, this study uses descriptive-qualitative methods. The results showed that the workings and implementation of harmonization of science and religion at UIN Gusdur as a problem solving scientific globalization and humanitarian crisis with the existence of scientific writing programs based on science and religion, Islamic education programs armed with technology, efforts to achieve international accreditation, multidisciplinary education, the establishment of science and religion-based study programs, the provision of Islamic courses in the early semesters, the KIP-K scholarship policy, and the development of Ma'had al-Jami'ah.

A Systematic Review on the Implementation of the Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education (ALIVE) Program in the Philippines: Implications on the Educational Psychology Practice

The purpose of this meta-synthesis is to gather issues about the implementation of the ALIVE program in Philippine public elementary schools based on the "Standard Curriculum for Elementary Public Schools and Private Madaris" (DepEd Order Number 51 Series of 2004) developed by the Department of Education. Based on a set of criteria, ten (10) research studies conducted between 2015 and 2023 were selected. The ALIVE Program's execution was examined through studies found in published articles from CrossRef, OpenAlex, and Google Scholar databases. The included studies were arranged using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 flow diagram. The concerns regarding the ALIVE Program's implementation was determined to be the meta-theme. Through the use of thematic analysis, seven sub-themes emerged, including: fostering cultural integration through the ALIVE program and collaborative leadership; modifying the program's implementation in diverse school settings; maximizing learning environments for the ALIVE program through strategic leadership; navigating educational challenges in historical and conflicting contexts for the ALIVE program; transforming education for inclusive perspectives in the ALIVE program; educating for inclusive social transformation; and holistic governance for educational equity. This systematic review provides a comprehensive synthesis of recent research, revealing the complex barriers impeding the effectiveness of the ALIVE Program. With the aid of educational psychology practice, the study seeks to provide a thorough knowledge of these issues in order to inspire focused interventions and reforms that will enable the program to be implemented successfully in the Philippines.

Implementasi Evaluasi Program Pendidikan Islam: Analisis Peran, Bentuk dan Kendala Kepala Sekolah

Evaluation of the Islamic education program is the responsibility of the school principal, it aims to achieve the aspired educational goals. However, school principals often do not understand the role and forms of evaluation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational program evaluation at SD 92 Muara Kibul, focusing on three things, namely the role and constraints of school principals, as well as the form of program evaluation. The research method used is qualitative, with a narrative approach. Data collection used observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that the role of school principals in evaluating education programs is to design program evaluations, collect information from various sources, assess evaluation results, make improvements based on evaluation findings, involve teachers, students, and parents, build a positive attitude towards evaluation as a tool for improvement. The form of program assessment is divided into two, namely assessment according to standards and assessment based on Islamic programs. The obstacles faced are limited resources, time, lack of cooperation with external parties.

Implementation of Curriculum Management in Educational Institutions

This article is to assess and comprehend Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ponorogo Islamic Center's execution of Islamic education program management. This study combines a descriptive analytic method with a qualitative article approach. Descriptive analysis was used for data gathering, with a focus on the administration of Islamic education programs and the elements that help or impede their implementation. At the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ponorogo Islamic Center, a variety of relevant parties, including instructors, students, and parents, participated in the article. The article results show that Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamic Center Ponorogo has a unique approach in implementing curriculum management. The integration of Islamic values, ethical education, and a holistic approach are characteristic of the learning process. Supporting factors for implementing curriculum management include awareness of the importance of ethical education as a foundation, integration of Al-Qur'an values in every aspect of life, and various extracurricular programs outside of school. On the other hand, obstacles arise in rapid adaptation to curriculum changes and lack of coordination with participants from the Ministries of Religious Affairs and Education. This article provides an in-depth picture of how Islamic education curriculum management at the MI Islamic Center Ponorogo can create a holistic learning environment based on Islamic values. These results can aid in the development of tactics and guidelines for Islamic education, especially at the elementary level, in order to increase its effectiveness and relevance to the demands of the times

Stereotypes, prejudices, and discrimination frequently emerge in Islamic educational environments, posing obstacles to personal growth, social integration, and the development of students' tolerance towards individuals and groups from diverse cultural backgrounds. The objective of this study is to comprehend and analyze how Islamic education can cultivate awareness and tolerance amidst cultural diversity. Qualitative research methodology, employing a literature review approach, was utilized in this study. The findings indicate that inclusive Islamic education should acknowledge and embrace cultural diversity as a positive aspect of learning. An approach that fosters awareness and tolerance towards cultural diversity is necessary. Furthermore, efforts are required to prevent and address stereotypes, prejudices, and discrimination within the educational setting. This research makes a significant contribution to the advancement of more inclusive and equitable Islamic education programs. The study's outcomes offer relevant recommendations for decision-makers, educators, students, and society in general, emphasizing the importance of nurturing awareness and tolerance towards cultural diversity tophold social harmony and inclusivity
