The methodology utilized a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings of the research emphasize the importance of a multicultural-based Islamic religious education curriculum, given that Indonesia is a diverse nation comprising various ethnicities, languages, religions, and cultures. Implementing a multicultural-based Islamic religious education curriculum is expected to have a positive impact on fostering harmony and tolerance among individuals.

New Islamic School Civilization in Education Curriculum in Digital Era

The civilization of Islamic schools within the educational curriculum in the digital era has depicted the advancement of Islamic education in the digitalization of education. The discussion regarding the curriculum of Islamic education in the context of the new Islamic school civilization in the digital era is an intriguing context to observe. This study argues that the emerging civilization of Islamic schools in the curriculum of Islamic education in the digital era has indeed provided innovation and contributed to technology-based Islamic education in Muslim schools. This study raises the question of how the form of the new civilization of Islamic schools is evolving within the curriculum of education in the digital era. To answer this question, the study employs qualitative research with a media approach for in-depth research analysis. The findings of this study demonstrate that the new civilization of Islamic schools in the curriculum of Islamic education not only imparts religion-based education but also teaches Islamic education based on the digitalization of technology and science. This study recommends the importance of conducting interviews on digital-based Islamic education in other schools to gain a more reflective and subjective understanding of the meaning of the new civilization of Islamic schools in the curriculum of Islamic education in the digital era.

Evaluation of Islamic Religious Education: Optimal Approach to Increase Tolerance

<em><span lang="EN-US">Inter-religious tolerance is one of the noble values of Islam that is important to be maintained and preserved. Efforts to increase tolerance can be made in several ways, one of which is through education. </span><span lang="EN-US">This article reviews the importance of integrating cultural values in the Islamic religious education curriculum as a strategy to reduce the potential for radicalism and increase intercultural tolerance in Indonesia.</span><span lang="EN-US"> The method used in this research is a systematic literature review (SLR), using the Google Scholar and Scopus databases using the Publish or Perish 8 tool with the PRISMA technique. The search results found a total of 332 articles, then excluded 42 articles that were retained for analysis and assessed for quality and relevance according to the research questions. The results of this study show that the majority of research focuses on the Indonesian context, which sees an urgent need for tolerance education in pluralistic societies. </span><span lang="EN-US">Diverse research approaches, ranging from the development of multicultural education programs to religious text-based learning models, show the dynamics of teaching tolerance. The findings also highlight the importance of interactive and participatory learning methods and the critical role of local wisdom in tolerance education. By presenting a comprehensive literature review, this article provides valuable insights for policymakers, educational practitioners, and researchers in designing effective educational strategies to counter radicalism and strengthen intercultural tolerance through Islamic religious education.</span></em>

Imre Lakatos Research Programme Methodology Application in the Curriculum of Islamic Education in Madrasah

Imre Lakatos's thoughts need to be developed in Islamic education, especially in schools with a larger portion of Islamic education when compared to public schools. This study aims to explain Imre Lakatos's thinking, which is often referred to as the research program methodology, as well as to analyze the application of the Imre Lakatos research program methodology in the Islamic education curriculum in madrasas, taking into account the three elements of the research program proposed by Imre Lakatos. Three elements in the research program include hardcore, protective belt, and a series of theories. A literature study approach supports the qualitative method used in this research. Data sources used are relevant literature obtained from books and journal articles. The data collection technique used is documentation. The results of this study show that the Islamic education curriculum based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadith occupies the main core (hardcore) position. Meanwhile, the subjects of Al-Qur'an Hadith, Aqidah, Jurisprudence, and Islamic Cultural History became the protective belt.

Partisipasi Stakeholder dalam Pengembangan Kurikulum Pendidikan Islam di Pesantren

This research aims to analyze the obstacles and challenges in involving stakeholders in developing the Islamic education curriculum in Islamic boarding schools, how stakeholders contribute to each stage of the curriculum development process and recommendations for Islamic boarding schools and educational development policies related to the Islamic education curriculum in Islamic boarding schools. The method used in this research is the library research method, data was obtained from various sources such as scientific journals, books, seminar papers and other publications both offline and online. The data analysis model consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that obstacles and challenges that may arise include differences in views and priorities, limited time and resources, inequality of representation, technical challenges, politics and personal interests, lack of effective communication, resistance to change, and intimidation of results. Stakeholders contribute to each stage of the curriculum development process by identifying needs and objectives, designing materials and learning, selecting learning and evaluation methods, testing and assessing, and revising and adjusting. Recommendations for Islamic boarding schools and educational policies related to curriculum development include increasing stakeholder involvement, forming a curriculum development team, openness to innovation, and integrating religious values. For education policy, apart from support and recognition, development of training stakeholders, provision of resources, support for research and innovation and partnerships with Islamic boarding schools.

Implementation of Islamic Religious Education Learning in Shaping Students' Muslim Personality at Indah Integrated Islamic Private Junior High School Medan

This research will describe how implementing Islamic religious education shapes the Muslim personalities of students at the Indah Integrated Islamic Private Junior High School in Medan. The method used in this research is qualitative. The subjects determined in this study are Islamic religious education teachers. Then, the author uses interviews, observation, and documentation in the data collection. While the technical analysis that the author uses involves data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, the results showed that implementing Islamic religious education has a positive effect on forming students' personalities. Students become better in terms of attitude, behaviour, and morals. First, the Islamic religious education curriculum at Indah Integrated Islamic Private Junior High School focuses on developing a comprehensive understanding of Islamic values and teachings. Secondly, the school uses an integrated approach to religious education, integrating religious and academic learning. Thirdly, this integrated approach successfully instils moral and ethical values alongside academic knowledge. Fourthly, the school's efforts in promoting Islamic education are visible in students' behaviour and learning.

The curriculum is an important tool in the learning process that should provide guidance and direction for educational performance. Islamic religious education as an effort to internalize fundamental, social, and moral values, urgently needs an effective and efficient curriculum. This research is a Library Research with literature studies related to the Islamic religious education curriculum and Independent Learning. The data analysis technique used is content analysis by categorizing data so that it can be formulated based on the problem under study. The collected data is analyzed by analytical descriptive methods. The approach used is a qualitative approach where the data is in the form of narratives or sentences, and this data is processed systematically to produce conclusions. This research is also a type of historical-philosophical research. The results showed that, first, the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in the vortex of independent education became a challenge in itself, where the rapid development of science and technology, changes in education ministry regulations that hinted at independent education, and the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0. Second, the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in Independent Learning education must be adjusted to include the values of science and technology, social values, culture, and the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0. especially after the Covid 19 pandemic which has changed the paradigm of Islamic religious education.

Analisis Kurikulum Pendidikan Islam Implementasi Kurikulum Muatan Lokal Aksara Arab Melayu MIS Terpadu Muhammad Fahri

This research aims to explain and describe the Islamic education curriculum implementing local content curriculum in the learning of Malay Arabic Script at Muhammad Fahri Integrated MIS. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation carried out at Mahammad Fahri Integrated MIS. The results of the research show that the Islamic education curriculum implementing local content curriculum in Malay Arabic script subjects is taught from grade one to grade six, this learning is carried out in schools and continued at MDTA. The learning resources used are books owned by the teacher. Learning methods include introducing hijaiyah letters, writing letters, recognizing and writing words, as well as various Malay Arabic script exercises. The challenge experienced by the teacher in this lesson was the students' difficulty in writing letters and translating from Indonesian or Latin to Malay Arabic script. Efforts made by teachers to overcome these obstacles include repeating material, providing examples, and providing various exercises to hone students' skills.

Given the persisting issues among high school students in Banten about their inadequate comprehension of Islamic religious education content, particularly in relation to corpse management, it is imperative to revise and enhance the Islamic religious education curriculum in these schools. The objective of this study is to investigate and assess the changes, approaches, and assessment of Islamic religious education instruction in high schools in Banten. The research findings indicate that Islamic religious education material in Senior High Schools can be renewed by incorporating corpse management material and guide tutorial modules. This renewal can also involve adopting the Blended Learning method, which combines traditional teaching methods with online resources such as package books, assignments, and tutorials accessed through e-learning platforms like 'Sipintar', Quizzizz, and Google Classroom. Additionally, the evaluation of Islamic religious education in high schools can be enhanced by implementing evaluation instruments that focus on online corpse management material. These evaluations can be conducted using the 'Sipintar', Quizzizz, and Google Classroom applications.

The independent learning program is a flexible program focusing on essential material, character development and student abilities. The Islamic education subjects found in madrasas consist of four groups: Al-Qur’an Hadith, Fiqh, Aqidah Akhlak, and SKI, all of which are regulated by Minister of Religion regulations under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion.

MODEL TADABUR AL-QURAN BERASASKAN TAFSIRAN ULAMA TERHADAP AYAT 205 SURAH AL-A’RAF DAN AYAT 37 SURAH QAF

Quranic contemplation is one most exalted worship in Islam because its function in guiding servant to the guidance of Allah SWT. It is the purpose of the revelation of the Quran and the legislation of recitation. Failing to contemplate the Quran is the reason why the hypocrites and polytheists in the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW were prevented from receiving guidance. Although contemplation is crucial in Islam, the development of Quranic contemplation skills does not receive proper attention in the Islamic education curriculum. In fact, the implementation of contemplation in tahfiz institutions in Malaysia is only at a moderate level. Therefore, this study aims to propose a practical model of Quranic contemplation based on the Quran itself, to explain the process of how the implementation can achieve the objectives of tazkiyah and tahalliyah in worship and generating recognizant of Allah. This study is based on a qualitative approach using document analysis as a research instrument. Research data were collected from more than 30 exegesis books involving scholar’s interpretations of verse 205 of Surah Al-A'raf and verse 37 of Surah Qaf, and analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The findings of the study show that the process of contemplation involves sensory, mental, and spiritual activities, namely, bringing the heart closer to Allah, listening effectively, thinking, reflecting, drawing lessons, and being devout. A further study is recommended for the purpose of implementing this model in the Islamic education system, especially in the tahfiz curriculum in Malaysia.

Enhancing Islamic Religious Education Through Religious Moderation: Insights from Yudharta University-Pasuruan

The development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum with the insight of religious moderation is one of the strategic efforts to face the challenges of pluralism in higher education, especially at Yudharta University Pasuruan which is a public university. This study aims to formulate a model of PAI curriculum that integrates religious moderation values. The research method used is field-research with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving lecturers, students, and managers of PAI study programs at Yudharta University. The results showed that the development of a curriculum with a religious moderation insight was implemented The curriculum development model used at the Yudharta campus uses and applies the MBKM model, because indeed the spirit of MBKM is a form of implementation of Merdeka Belajar, where Merdeka here is to give freedom to students. The forms of implementation applied at the Yudharta campus include strengthening moderation values through both academic and non-academic activities, including lectures, discussions and workshops involving many parties from different religious backgrounds.

This article is to assess and comprehend Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ponorogo Islamic Center's execution of Islamic education program management. This study combines a descriptive analytic method with a qualitative article approach. Descriptive analysis was used for data gathering, with a focus on the administration of Islamic education programs and the elements that help or impede their implementation. At the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ponorogo Islamic Center, a variety of relevant parties, including instructors, students, and parents, participated in the article. The article results show that Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamic Center Ponorogo has a unique approach in implementing curriculum management. The integration of Islamic values, ethical education, and a holistic approach are characteristic of the learning process. Supporting factors for implementing curriculum management include awareness of the importance of ethical education as a foundation, integration of Al-Qur'an values in every aspect of life, and various extracurricular programs outside of school. On the other hand, obstacles arise in rapid adaptation to curriculum changes and lack of coordination with participants from the Ministries of Religious Affairs and Education. This article provides an in-depth picture of how Islamic education curriculum management at the MI Islamic Center Ponorogo can create a holistic learning environment based on Islamic values. These results can aid in the development of tactics and guidelines for Islamic education, especially at the elementary level, in order to increase its effectiveness and relevance to the demands of the times

This study aims to explore the role of moderation of Islamic religious education teachers in the formation of character and morals of students through Islamic religious education. Which is not only limited to the individual aspect, but also has broader social implications. This study uses literature research methods to determine the mediating role of Islamic religious education teachers in the formation of student character and morals. This study examines concepts and theories related to the role of teachers as conveyors of religious and moral values in Islamic education by analyzing relevant literature. The results of the literature review show that teachers play a central role in transmitting religious and moral values to students through certain teaching strategies. Therefore, this study provides a deeper understanding of the role of Islamic religious education teachers in shaping the character and morals of students, based on empirical and theoretical evidence in literature, especially in the context of Islamic religious education. The implications of these findings may provide a basis for developing more effective educational policies and practices to promote strong character and good morale in students. So this research will provide a clear understanding of how the role of Islamic religious education teachers, teacher-student interaction, curriculum, and holistic approaches can play a role in shaping the character of students. The curriculum is an important part of the education system because it is one of the determining factors in achiefing goals. Likewise, the Islamic religious education (PAI) curriculum also plays a central role in various curricula to achieve the direction and goals of Islamic education itself. Islamic education aims to develop all human potential based on Islamic law. However, in reality, the PAI curriculum still has problems in real life. For example, the education model is still docmatic, old-fashioned, redundant, and the religius concept taught are no longer relevant to modern life. Teachers and all scool staff mus be able to trully understand and design the curriculum. In developing an Islamic religious education (IRE) curriculum, a special approach is anneded that ensures that the designed curriculum can bring students to the desiret changes. Teachers can choose several approaches that suit their teatching model, taking into account the specifics of Islamic education itself. Four approaches can be used in curriculum development: academic, humanistic, technological and social reconstruction approaches. The developed curriculum can then be used by various PAI teachers in the teaching and learning process at school.
