Aspek-Aspek Pendidikan Fiqih di Pesantren untuk Membangun Kesetaraan dan Perdamaian Dunia

Islam is the Universal Religion and a blessing for the whole of Nature, so that the principles taught are also universal without any discrimination against certain groups. As a religion that has shari'a or specific guidelines which we term fiqh, the shari'a must also be universal without distinguishing rules for certain groups unless there are underlying factors. In the above article, we have discussed many editorials that support equality in the field of gender, social affairs, and education as well as reveal some references that Islam is indeed a religion that loves peace. In the social field, it discussed disabilities, the rich, poor and free, and slaves, while in the education sector, it discussed disabled people and convicts. The aspects of fiqh that are discussed are about Worship, Muamalah and Munakahah. All aspects discussed support the existence of the principle of peace which is supported by the basis of equality. As a result, equality and peace have begun to be realized and sought after and supported by the government through many Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.

Islamic Moderate Values in Teaching Classic Islamic Books at Modern Islamic Boarding Schools in Indonesia

This study discusses Islamic moderation in learning classic Islamic books at modern Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. This study aimed to examine the application of Islamic moderation in learning classics and the supporting factors for the successful application of religious moderation in learning classics at the Islamic Boarding School of Modern al-IstiqamahNgatabaru Indonesia. This study used qualitative methods, and data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and written document analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are three indicators in the application of Islamic moderation in learning the ‘yellow book,’ namely the application of moderation in the learning process, the application of moderation in the form of understanding, and the application of moderation in the form of practice in worship. The supporting factors for Islamic moderation in learning the ‘yellow book’ are, Islamic boarding schools are not tied to one school of thought, ustad provides the broadest possible understanding to students, ustad does not indoctrinate students to follow one school of thought, ustad is not allowed to justify one school and blames on the other hand, students are free to choose the schools they believe in strongly. While the inhibiting factors are the limited practice of santri worship, senior santri are not allowed to influence junior santri, and learning the ‘yellow book’ is still limited. The implications of Islamic moderation in understanding the ‘yellow book’ at the Modern al-IstiqamahNgatabaru Islamic Boarding School are elastic and flexible, tolerant, not categorized, and not confused in making choices. Many alums are in different Islamic mass organizations, and alums join student organizations that are diverse, and active in religious activities in the community.

The Integrated Pathway: A Novel Educational Model for Islamic Boarding Schools in Indonesia

This study aims to investigate Islamic boarding school or pesantren education in Indonesia comprehensively. The dataset was generated from the Scopus database and Google Scholar using the keywords “Pesantren” and “education”. There were 24 papers reviewed in the research. The research findings show that the character values instilled in Islamic boarding school education in Indonesia include promoting tolerance and egalitarianism, sharing mutual respect, mutual love, hard work, politeness, and nobility, and many more. Another finding discovers many pesantren education approaches clustered into excellent approaches, human approach, environmentally based education, culturally based learning, technology-based, Modern-traditional approach, Self-regulated learning, school education, pesantren education, and role modelling. Furthermore, the critical finding is a proposed new model of pesantren education, namely the pesantren education transformation model, that combines all education approaches. The transformation model integrates local wisdom, global, knowledge and skills. The theoretical contribution of this research is that a new model has been produced and is a refinement of the existing Islamic boarding school education model. This educational transformation model can provide a new discourse regarding Islamic boarding school education development. The practical contribution of this research is that the Islamic boarding school education model can be implemented in various Islamic boarding schools by considering local wisdom and the values held by each Islamic boarding school.

Implementation Of Gender Equality Education In The Boarding School Tarbiyatul Mu'allimat Al-Islamiyah Al-Amien Prenduan Sumenep

Education and pesantren are two parts that cannot be separated for the survival of the students. One of the bad stigmas among society is that a woman is marginalized by men, so there are many cases of harassment or even violence against a woman. With the existence of islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, it turns out that it has a change in the order of society to raise the degree of women in Indonesia. That men are now also activists to maintain the existence of a woman. The existence of this islamic boarding school provides a solution to raise the degree of a woman because in pesantren today it has taught several skills and education based on gender equality education. Thus, female students can grow and develop with confidence to defend themselves to be able to compete with a man. In this study, researchers used a qualitative field approach with a type of case study research. While the method in collecting data, researchers use three methods, namely observation, interview and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique is through data reduction, data exposure and data verification. The form of implementation of gender equality education management applied in tarbiyatul mu'allimat al-islamiyah is leadership and management training, worksop improvement of group leaders and organizational skills among female students while the advantage of this implementation is the confidence of each student to be able to compete with a man and have a trustworthy and honest leadership spirit. Meanwhile, the drawback is that there are some students who are indifferent in carrying out and implementing the discipline of islamic boarding schools that have been mutually agreed upon, both kyai, teachers and students.

Business Strategy in Islamic Boarding School: A Case Study of Pesantren Hidayatullah Depok Indonesia

Purpose: Abstract. This study aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and strategic priorities in the development of a business unit in a pesantren, a culturally rooted Islamic boarding school in Indonesia. Methodology: Employing ANP-SWOT analysis, this study indicates that strengths and opportunities are the main priorities in developing pesantren’s business unit. The most influential aspects of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are cooperation with internal and external parties in developing business and marketing management that is not optimal Results: Islamic boarding schools can play a more important role in economic activities as producers that meet community needs, in particular, and even supply a broader market. The most important strategy is to improve the quality of human resources by improving the mindsets and skillsets of business activities.

Peluang dan Tantangan Santri di Era Digital (Studi Kasus Pada Pondok Pesantren Al Amin Sidoarjo)

Digitizing Islamic boarding schools in Era Society 5.0 is an opportunity as well as a challenge for all Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, apart from branding for their Islamic boarding schools, digitizing Islamic boarding schools also aims to inform the public that education is important. One of them is education at Islamic boarding schools as one of the printers of superior generations, especially in the fields of religion, self-reliance, manners, and social life. This study aims to describe the importance of digitizing education at the Al-Amin Sidoardjo Islamic Boarding School in the Era of Society 5.0. This research was conducted through a qualitative approach using descriptive analytic methods and included in field research. In Era Society 5.0, digital-based Islamic boarding school education is urgently needed, especially at the Al-Amin Sidoardjo Islamic Boarding School, which is still in the process of digital literacy. As for some of the efforts that have been made by the Al-Amin Sidoardjo Islamic Boarding School in digitizing, among others, by not conducting digital literacy training for students through graphic design courses so that students have IT competencies needed by the world of work and society, providing a computer laboratory with internet access for finding sources and references. religious and general knowledge that is difficult to access directly, and the use of websites and social media as a means of branding, dissemination of pesantren information dissemination, as well as pesantren administrative needs. Meanwhile, the challenges faced by the Al-Amin Sidoardjo Islamic boarding school are more in the unavailability of a special team of operators who are technically in charge both in terms of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating related to the pesantren's website and social media. In addition, the maintenance of digital systems and devices that are used for digitalization is not yet optimal.

Educational Innovation of Islamic Boarding Schools in Indonesia and Malaysia in Facing the 21st Century Challenges

The problem of 21st Century education is in facing the challenges to produce generations with ability to think critically and skills in solving life problems. The challenges can be responded through educational innovation in Islamic boarding schools. The purpose of the research is to analyze the forms of educational innovation made by Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia and Malaysia in facing the 21st Century. This research uses systematic literature review (SLR) type of qualitative approach. The tools used to codify the literatures are Publish and Perish, ERIC, and Google Scholar. The codification result finds 64 articles on Islamic boarding schools innovation in Malaysia and 207 articles on it in Indonesia. The articles codified are limited from 2013 -2023. The result of the research shows that there are differences between educational innovations in Indonesia and Malaysia in the period of 2013 to 2023 in the aspects of the use of technology, community involvement, collaboration with other educational institutions, combination of religious and general education, and in the aspect of project-base education. The similarities between the two are in increasing the faith of Muslims through religious education and creating generations of noble character. To face the challenges of the 21st century requires the role of a transformational and distributive leader who can form unity, partnership, cooperation, democracy, tolerance, and involvement in leadership practices.

The Deradicalization of Islamic Boarding School in Indonesia: Study About the Prevention of Radicalism and Terrorism Movement in Indonesia

This research is about the deradicalization issue at Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. The object of research is the deradicalization process in Islamic boarding schools. By using a political sociology approach, the research tries to capture the religious radicalism phenomena which are not fully the religious ideology indication but it is also social political tendency. This research is guided by social theories such as radical theory and deradicalization theory. The research method used is qualitative. Collecting data using interviews, observations, documentation and focused discussions (Focus Group Discussion). Data analysis was carried out by means of content analysis, discourse analysis and narrative analysis. Finding of the research is the radicalism action is begun from unsatisfying radical groups toward government, both in terms of economy, law, and politics. The increase of radical groups is influenced by religious doctrine taught by educational institutions affiliated with radical groups in other places. Deradicalisation is done through educational institutions and the roles of religious and state leaders. The roles of priest, curriculum and local community also have big roles in the deradicalization effort of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.
 
 Penelitian ini membahas tentang isu deradikalisasi di pondok pesantren di Indonesia. Objek penelitian adalah proses deradikalisasi di pondok pesantren. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi politik, penelitian ini mencoba menangkap fenomena radikalisme agama yang tidak sepenuhnya merupakan indikasi ideologi keagamaan tetapi juga merupakan kecenderungan sosial politik. Penelitian ini berpedoman pada teori-teori sosial seperti teori radikal dan teori deradikalisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan diskusi terfokus (Fokus group Discussion. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara analisis konten, analisis wacana dan analisis naratif. Temuan penelitian ini adalah aksi radikalisme berawal dari ketidakpuasan kelompok radikal terhadap pemerintah, baik dari segi ekonomi, hukum, maupun politik. Meningkatnya kelompok radikal dipengaruhi oleh doktrin agama yang diajarkan oleh lembaga pendidikan yang berafiliasi dengan kelompok radikal di tempat lain. Deradikalisasi dilakukan melalui lembaga pendidikan dan peran pemimpin agama dan negara. Peran imam, kurikulum dan masyarakat lokal juga memiliki peran besar dalam upaya deradikalisasi pesantren di Indonesia.

Implementation Of the IQRA' Method to Improve The Quran Reading Quality Of The Students of Harfan Maftahil Bilad Boarding School

Learning the Qur'an is currently progressing along with the times and technology. Various methods of teaching the Qur'an are used by Ustaz and Ustadz in various Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. Due to the many problems faced and technological advances, children need to learn the Qur'an from an early age to form morals from an early age. Therefore, it is important for children to learn to read from an early age, especially the Qur'an, especially using recitation techniques to facilitate the achievement of the objectives of learning the Qur'an correctly. In this study, one of the reading methods, namely the iqra method, was used to improve the quality of reading the Qur'an by the students of the Harfan Mafatihil Bilad Islamic Boarding School. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The target of this research service is the students of the Harfan Mafatihil Bilad Islamic Boarding School, West Tegalbadeng Village.

Development of Environmentally Friendly Culture in the Islamic Boarding School through Social Intervention Strategy

As one of Indonesia’s traditional Islamic education institutions that grow out of society’s needs, Islamic boarding schools generally have not had many discussions regarding the environment. The present paper aims to describe the existing environmental condition regarding the level of understanding of the students within an Islamic boarding school regarding environmentally friendly culture, programs and activities. Secondly, to establish if social interventions carried out by the government related to the development of environmentally friendly culture can support the realization of environmental quality improvement. This research was conducted in two Islamic boarding schools in West Java and North Sulawesi Provinces; Al Ittifaq Ciwidey Islamic Boarding School, Bandung, West Java Province, and Assalaam Manado Islamic Boarding School in North Sulawesi Province. Each was chosen to represent the regions of West Indonesia (Pesantren Al Ittifaq) and East Indonesia (Pesantren Assalaam). The data collected consisted of primary data and secondary data. The scope of the data to be collected included aspects related to the effort to create an Islamic boarding school that is environmentally friendly. In practice, this study used several data analysis methods, including a review of literature, descriptive analysis, and focused discussions. The strategy of social intervention in the form of Eco-Pesantren programs carried out by the government can be a formula for developing environmentally friendly Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia regarding sustainability. One of the critical aspects of developing an environmentally sound Islamic boarding school is the integration of the principles of environmental awareness and sustainability into the curriculum.

The Reformation Era in Indonesia: Santri's Polarization and the Developmental Dynamics of Pesantren

Since the fall of Suharto's regime in 1998, Indonesia has entered a new era of democracy dubbed the Reformation era. Religious ideology grew throughout this period, both locally and as a result of globalization. As a result, the polarization of students can no longer be read through classical or conventional typologies. The classic typology of students in the style of Clifford Geertz, followed by Yon Machmudi and Ahmad Najib Burhani's typology of students, also needs to represent the reality of students in the reform era fully. So, the literature study supported by interview data offers a new typology of santri divided into four forms, namely ideological, sociological, academic, and political santri. These four typologies color students’ polarization and impact the dynamics of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. However, this polarization in many cases experienced a "mess of polarization", so it was difficult to read the direction of the dynamics of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia during the reform era except with high monitoring intensity. Generally, the dynamics of the rapid trend are split into two big poles, moderatism and fundamentalism or radicalism, but they are still very flexible.

The Implementation of Muhawarah Learning in Madrasah Tsanawiyah

One of the methods used in learning Arabic that can improve maharah kalam is muhawarah; the muhawarah method is often used in several Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. The facts found by researchers in the field are that in MTs Persis 31 Banjaran, muhawarah is a particular subject studied at school. This research aims to discover the process of muhawarah learning at MTs Persis 31 Banjaran. This study used descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. After the data was collected, data analysis was carried out using the technique proposed by Milles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research result shows that the process of muhawarah lesson at MTs Persis 31 Banjaran contains four core activities of muhawarah learning, including (1) memorizing mufrodat, (2) analyzing mufrodat, (3) translating conversations, (4) carrying out simple conversations. The teacher's skills in achieving learning objectives are very influential, one of which is regarding the methods used in muhawarah learning. Methods appropriate to students' material, infrastructure, and conditions can make it easier for teachers to achieve learning objectives and increase student enthusiasm for learning.

The Importance of Digital Media in Arabic Language Learning; The Use of Canva in Vocabulary Learning

Using media in learning Arabic is an essential way to convey messages and materials quickly to secondary school students. This study explores how students in a modern Islamic boarding school in Indonesia learn Arabic using digital-based media known as Canva, a program that contains both technology and novelty. This research uses mixed methods, with data obtained from observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Results show that learning vocabulary with Canva increases students' motivation and concentration, resulting in more effective and communicative vocabulary learning.

Charismatic Leadership and Silah Rituality in The Educational Culture of Boarding Schools

This research focuses on how to become a ritual in the communication process. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The research participants comprised seven people: Kiai, ustadz and santri. Collecting research data using interviews and documentation and analysing with data reduction procedures, presentation and interpretation of data. The orientation should detail the role of rituality in charismatic leadership to build cultural commitment to education. After studying in-depth, it can be concluded that the company's charismatic leadership transforms spirituality in developing solidarity actions, work and religious commitment to Islamic boarding schools education. This research can be a reference for further research, focusing on studying Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, especially on charismatic leadership patterns.

Improving Vocabulary Acquistion through Gogo’s Movie in Classroom Setting for Islamic Boarding School Students

Currently, learning English is essential for improving comprehensive literacy, including in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. English researchers and teachers are now faced with the difficulty of determining the effective learning strategies. One of the most effective learning strategies to consider is learning through movies. This study aims at improving vocabulary acquisition through Gogo’s movie in classroom setting for Islamic boarding schools students. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was employed since the researcher focused more on useful procedures in addressing students’ lacking vocabulary acquisition in Islamic boarding schools. The CAR consists of 2 cycles, and each cycle consist of 3 meetings. The subject of this research was 14 first year (1st grade of junior high school) students of 4 Islamic boarding schools in Kediri City, Indonesia. The researcher collected the data used observation and test, and analyzed data by qualitative approach through evaluation and quantitative approach through observation. The quantitative data was measured from students’ accuracy included students’ answers classified into complete and incomplete options. At cycle 1, the results’ meetings were inadequate and the target was not achieved. After employing some actions, the data showed a significant improvement at the cycle 2 and target in this cycle was achieved. By this result, a group of 16 individuals have good vocabulary acquisition through Gogo’s Movie. Thus, the researcher concluded that improving vocabulary acquisition through Gogo’s movie in classroom setting for Islamic boarding school students was achieved.

Characteristics of Islamic Boarding School Students

Education character will only be formed with support from various parties. Therefore, the role of schools, either formal or non-formal (Islamic boarding schools), is very decisive in achieving that goal. This study aims to describe the character of the Islamic boarding school students (santri) and the inculcation of Islamic morality in the santri who are in the wrong Islamic boarding school in Indonesia, namely the Syaichona Moh Islamic Boarding School. Cholil Bangkalan is part of the contribution of Islamic boarding schools in building a developed and civilized country. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods: interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis of Miles and Huberman models found that planting Islamic characters applied in the cottage is integrated with the obligations, prohibitions, and sanctions for those who break the rules. Efforts to instil this character are applied in students' religious activities (ubudiyah), pesantren, and school programs. Then from the efforts to teach the Islamic personality, students are formed religious education which is built on the vision and mission of the pesantren and is strengthened by all shoulder cuttings in the boarding school environment

Tasmi’ Al-Qur’an di Kalangan Mahasiswa:

This study aims to discuss sima'an especially Sima'an at the Tahfidz Alif Islamic Boarding School. The method used in this research is qualitative in nature with library research, namely finding sources from written materials with a historical approach. The results of the discussion of this study include the understanding and history of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, the meaning of sima'an, and the function of implementing sima'an in Islamic boarding schools. This study concludes that sima'an al-Qur'an at the Tahfidz Alif Islamic boarding school has been going on since the establishment of the pesantren in 2009. The background of the students comes from different universities and different faculties. Sima'an for students of the Tahfidz Alif Islamic Boarding School has a religious function which can be seen from the position of the Qur'an for Muslims themselves as a guide or guideline for Muslims to carry out their religious activities. However, as much as 10.3% of students did not feel that sima'an motivated them to become hafidzah.

THE INFLUENCE OF STUDENTS’ GRAMMAR PROFICIENCY ON READING ABILITIES: A STUDY AT AN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL

This study explored the relationship between grammar and reading abilities of third-grade junior high school students of an Islamic boarding school in Indonesia. The total number of students sampled in this study was 60 students, with details consisting of 30 female students and 30 male students. The data collection instruments used in this research were grammar tests and reading comprehension tests. The researchers analyzed the data using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and calculated the data using Microsoft Excel 2019 program to test the hypothesis. The result of calculation using Microsoft Excel 2019 program found that the correlation coefficient of grammar mastery and students' reading ability is 0.93 with a significant level of 0.01. With these results, it can be seen that these variables are positively correlated. And there is a significant relationship between grammar mastery and the student's reading ability.

Islamic Boarding School Based on Women’s Empowerment and Equality

Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia are often considered an important aspect of religious education. One aspect of the discussion that is rarely discussed in Islamic boarding schools is women's empowerment and gender equality because this is often considered an idea derived from western ideology and education. However, to solve the country's economic and development problems, ideas and discussions around gender equality and women's empowerment are now increasingly coming to the fore and becoming a public concern. One of the institutions that became the focus of this research was the involvement of Islamic boarding schools in teaching these ideas to their students. Thus, the main question in this study is how gender and women's empowerment are implemented in Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological studies to explore and identify existing field results by carrying out field observations and interviews with various speakers including educators and students as the primary method of data collection. Observations and interview questions are based on research formulations that focus on the practice and involvement of institutions and each Islamic boarding school actor in gender equality and women's empowerment. The results illustrate the role of an educational institution that optimizes education based on gender equality and women's empowerment in its curriculum. In addition, each individual also has an active role in efforts to empower women to change the negative stigma brought by conservative Islamic understanding of women. Education in Islamic boarding schools also actively tackles radicalism among its students. This study discusses how Islamic boarding schools in Tasikmalaya are reforming their curriculum and environment to assimilate with gender education and women's empowerment.

FENOMENA WAKAF PENDIDIKAN PESANTREN DI INDONESIA

The discussion of this article begins with an explanation of the general provisions regarding waqf. Next, a brief description of waqf education in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia is explained. Paid education schemes are the most dominant in it. At first glance, this seems to contradict the nature of waqf education as charity. Due to the high costs by the students, it gives the impression that the pesantren is a business institution. This paper explains the permissibility of waqf boarding schools to collect fees from students to maintain the continuity of education while maintaining that waqf does not become a business for personal, family and certain group interests. This paper also describes some of the phenomena that occur in the management of waqf pesantren, such as the impact of the lack of literacy of some pesantren managers regarding waqf and heirs suing pesantren waqf land. It was also stated that apart from paid pesantren, there are also pesantren in Indonesia which free their students from fees, because they are financed with productive endowments and assistance from donors.
