AbstractFor Ising ferromagnets with S = 1, S = 3/2, and S = 2, the magnetization 〈Sz〉 and the Curie temperature TC are calculatded with the use of pair mode lapproximation. Assuming the bilinear and biquadratic exchange interactions (J and J′) between nearest‐neighbouring pair of spins and the uniaxial single‐ionic anisotropy D for each spin, the behaviours of 〈Sz〉 and TC as a function of these exchange parameters and the uniaxial anisotropy parameter are investigated for the Ising spin systems with various values of the spin.
