Effects of an activator on the IR stimulation and quenching of ZnS

Infrared stimulation and quenching spectra are reported for ZnS; seven stimulation bands are found in the range 0.85 to 5 μ. The long-wave limit and temperature dependence of the quenching spectrum are governed by the activator (Cu, Ag, or Au).
