Pengembangan Media Stopmotion Berbantuan Storytelling Pada Pembelajaran IPS SD

Social studies learning problem is an urgent problem and it is necessary to immediately find alternative solutions to problems to improve and improving the quality of social studies learning at SDN 2 Pangenjurutengah. Research that has the aim of increasing the motivation for learning Social Sciences at SD Negeri 2 Pangenjurutengah is increasing. To overcome these learning problems, it is necessary to apply innovative learning models that can increase student motivation including teacher skills, student activities, and student learning outcomes that encourage active student involvement in learning. The subjects studied in this study were SD Negeri 2 Pangenjurutengah, Class IV 2018/2019 Academic Year. The type of methods use in this research is development or Research and Development (R&D). The resulting product is social studies learning with stopmotion media assisted by storytelling consisting of learning media, teacher's books and students. The instrument used was tested for validity and reliability testing. Before analyzing the data, the analysis prerequisite test was carried out which consisted of a normality test. The results of the study obtained a validation score of 77.6% of material experts and a score of 78.9% of media experts. Data collection using a questionnaire in the learning model, usability, media design, material coverage of Elementary School Social Sciences obtained by the prerequisite analysis test, namely the normality test getting a score of 0.546> 0.05 (Kolmogorov Smirnov table) so that the distribution is normal. Hypothesis testing or t test get sig.0.000 <0.05 and t count 0.76 <1.69 (t table). From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the stopmotion media is to increase the motivation of elementary school students in social studies learning.

Lecturer teaching styles and student learning involvement in large classes: a Taiwan case study

ABSTRACT Previous studies have indicated the challenges posed by large classes in promoting quality education and better student learning. This paper argues that empirically exploring other latent variables inherent in the pedagogical triangle of the teacher, the learner and the content hold a number of promises in elucidating the dynamics of large classes as an emerging phenomenon in global higher education. This study intends to examine how university lecturers’ teaching styles moderate the relationship between teaching job and student learning involvement in the context of large classes. A multi-aspect survey was conducted with 446 electrical engineering students from six public universities in Taiwan. The use of inferential statistics revealed marked differences in the lecturers’ teaching job involvement and teaching styles when grouped according to institutional types, positions at their respective universities, and years of service. Notably, among the various teaching styles, the expert-model and delegator teaching styles can significantly predict students’ learning involvement; the formal authority teaching style moderates the relationship between lecturers’ teaching job involvement and students’ learning involvement. General implications are drawn from these findings and are discussed as they apply to the teaching of large classes.

Learning materials through saving water

The demands of the 21st century require students to be reliable communicators, creators, critical thinkers, and collaborators in solving problems through student involvement in learning. This research aims to explore the student’s mathematical reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills in mathematics using the cost of payments for water use as context. The subject of this research was eight-grade students of SMPN 19 Palembang. This research uses the method of design research with validation studies type which three stages, namely Preparing for the experiment; The design experiment consists of two cycles (Pilot Experiment and Teaching Experiment); and Retrospective analysis. The study results show that learning using receipts of water payments as a medium for saving water can help students develop reasoning and problem-solving skills in mathematics learning. However, students not accustomed to using information obtained from the analysis to solve the given problem. Students tend to provide non-mathematical arguments on each issue that require students to provide discussions about the learning material, especially data presentation.

PENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE PICTURE AND PICTURE DI SD 009 KUALA TERUSAN PANGKALAN KERINCI

he learning implementation problems found in public elementary school 09 Kuala Terusan are the low activity and learning outcomes of students who reach standards in science learning in grade IV. For this reason, the picture and picture type cooperative model is applied. The objectives of this study were 1) to determine the effectiveness of the picture and picture cooperative model in increasing students' learning activeness in Science and 2) to determine the effectiveness of the picture and picture cooperative model in improving the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 009 Kuala Terusan. This type of research is classroom action research. The duration of this research was from October to November 2020. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of the 2019/2020 school year 009 Kuala Terusan public elementary school. The instrument used was the observation sheet and student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study are 1) The picture and picture type of cooperative learning model is effectively applied in learning science material ......... at SDN 009 Kuala Terusan to increase the active involvement of students in learning .; and 2) The picture and picture type of cooperative learning model is effectively applied in science learning material ......... at SDN 009 Kuala Terusan to improve student learning outcomes from the original number of students whose cognitive scores are above KKM are 18 people. (45%) to 37 people (92.5%).

INTEGRASI PEMANFAATAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS ADOBE FLASH DENGAN LINGKUNGAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR BIOLOGI

This study aims to determine whether the integration of learning media with the environment is able or not to increase student interest in learning. This research uses meta-analysis-data in the form of descriptive explorative qualitative, which is related to learning media and the environment. Data is collected from various secondary data, which is combined and analyzed by calculating the same percentage of findings for similar problems. The results show that this integration can increase student interest in learning, especially when learning about Science at the Botanical Gardens School, which is characterized by increasing positive behaviors and feelings, also increasing attention, and involvement of students in learning.

The effectiveness of chemistry learning strategy in improving students’ learning process and achievement

This research aimed at describing and explaining the implementation results of learning strategy for senior high school chemistry based on starter experiment approach. This research was part of research and development conducted simultaneously in two different schools in the form of pre-experiment. Two chemistry teachers and 52 students were involved in this study. Mix methods consisted of observation and test were used to collect data. This study involved two topics of senior high school chemistry, namely Atomic Structure and Electron Configuration. This research focused on examining the effectiveness of learning process and learning achievement of students. The effectiveness of learning process was viewed from the involvement of students in learning obtained by observation techniques. The student learning achievement was viewed from the number of students achieving the minimum criteria of mastery learning set out by the schools. The result of this research revealed that learning process undergoes effectively which can be seen from students’ participation in learning, such as observing the starter experiment, promoting questions, discovering concepts, and applying concept to solve problems. In general, it can be stated that more than 90% students achieved the minimum standard of mastery learning set out by the schools.

STEAM-Project-Based Learning Integration to Improve Elementary School Students' Scientific Literacy on Alternative Energy Learning

The study aimed to find out how the integration of STEAM-Project-Based Learning (STEAM-PjBL) was applied with the aim of developing students' scientific literacy. The study employed a qualitative research method with multiple data collection through interviews, observations, reflective journals, and a scientific literacy test. The integration of STEAM-PjBL was applied in a science classroom at a public elementary school in West Java, Indonesia with the thirty grade 4 students. The study consisted of five steps of reflection, research, discovery, application, and communication (Laboy-Rush, 2010). A house miniature with hand-powered electric generator or solar-powered generator is employed as STEAM project on alternative energy learning topic. The collected data was analysed using five aspects of scientific literacy, namely general scientific ideas, science characteristic, natural science in context, higher-order thinking skills, and affective aspect. The results of scientific literacy analysis show that overall the highest percentage has reached the level of competence. Integration of STEAM-PjBL into science learning encouraged students to be able to see the relevance of science knowledge of phenomena in daily life, develop curiosity and problem solving, and increase students' courage to ask questions and explore various sources to find information. The challenges faced during the research are source and time management, development of project ideas according to the topic of learning, and student involvement in learning. In addition, students also get meaningful and interesting learning by STEAM project making. This research also provides an opportunity for teachers to develop their competence in applying various learning models.

UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI BELAJAR PPKN MATERI PEMBUKAAN UUD 1945 DENGAN METODE MAKE A MATCH PADA SISWA KELAS IX SMP NEGERI 3 COLOMADU SEMESTER 1 TAHUN PELAJARAN 2019/2020

Background of the lack of active involvement of students in learning there are at least three indicators that indicate this. First, students lack the courage to express opinions to others. Second, students lack the ability to formulate their own ideas. and third, students are not accustomed to competing to express their opinions with other friends. These problems eventually led to the achievement of student learning competencies to be low. The problems examined were formulated as follows: how is the effort to improve the learning competence of PPKn in the opening of the 1945 Constitution with the Make A Match method in class IX students of SMP Negeri 3 Colomadu Karanganyar Semester 1 2019/2020 Academic Year. This research method uses a classroom action research model (CAR). The subjects in this study were all students of class IX SMPN 3 Colomadu in Academic Year 2019/2020. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using comparative analysis and critical analysis. The results showed that the implementation of learning using the Make A Match method could improve the PPKn learning competence in the Opening of the 1945 Constitution in class IX students of SMP Negeri 3 Colomadu Karanganyar Semester 1 2019/2020 Academic Year. Student knowledge competence at the end of the second cycle reaches an average of 85.8, has exceeded the established performance indicators that is equal to 80. Attitude competence at the end of the second cycle reaches an average of 3.4 (active attitude) and student skills competency at the end of the cycle II reached an average of 89.1 (very good), so this action research was declared successful. Achievement of performance indicators in cycle II shows that the application of the Make A Match learning method is effective in increasing student learning competency. The suggestion for PPKn teachers is that they need to increase their knowledge about the variety of learning methods. This will help the teacher to be able to improve the quality of the process and student learning outcomes in the learning process. The use of the Make A Match learning method can be an alternative to increasing learning effectiveness.

The Improving of Mathematical Understanding Ability and Positive Attitudes of Unimed FMIPA Students by Using the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL)Approach

The active involvement of students in learning must be supported by providing special activities that are student-centered so that they can do "doing math" to find and build mathematics facilitated by lecturers. One aspect of "doing math" is to improve mathematical communication skills. The existence of communication skills will certainly bring students to a deep mathematical understanding of mathematical concepts. In addition to mathematical communication skills, an attitude that must be possessed by students is needed, including appreciating the beauty of mathematics, having high curiosity and learning mathematics. With such an attitude, students are expected to develop mathematical abilities, use mathematics to solve problems faced in their lives, and can develop mathematical dispositions. This research conducted on students of FMIPA with the aim of: (1) knowing students’ mathematical communication skills taught by using the problem based learning model and talking learning model; (2) knowing the differences in students’ mathematical disposition abilities taught using Problem Based Learning model and talking learning model; (3) produce a mathematical learning device in the form of an appropriate LAS used to improve students’ mathematical communication; (4) produce teaching materials in the form of textbooks with appropriate problem-based learning model used to improve students’ mathematical communication.

ВИКОРИСТАННЯ ТЕХНОЛОГІЙ СКРАЙБІНГУ І СКЕТЧНОУТИНГУ В ОСВІТНЬОМУ ПРОЦЕСІ

The article is devoted to the use of scribing and sketching technologies in the educational process as visualization technologies. It is proved that in the conditions of total environment with modern information technologies and large information flows and formation of clip thinking in students, visualization that takes into account these cognitive features promotes understanding, mastering and memorization of educational material, improves learning and communication skills, increases motivation, learning, and promotes critical thinking; keeps the attention of the individual on key points, makes him an active participant in the educational process. The advantages and disadvantages of using scribing technologies in the educational process are summarized. The types of scribing and possible variants of their use are researched and analyzed. Among them are painted, application, magnetic, flannel, which involves the use of flannel (carpet linograph). technologies for using special programs or online services to create online scribing (computer, animation, video scribing) is emphasised. Scribbing facilitation is singled out, which involves the translation of information from verbal to visual form. Attention is paid to the study of the positive impact of visualization on the assimilation and comprehension of material through sketching technologies: they increase student involvement in learning, encourage more effective strategies and promote key skills, including creative thinking, communication and skills to build and present knowledge. The main models of sketchouting and their variants of use are investigated: linear, vertical, radial, modular, trajectory, skyscrapers or columnar, popcorn.

Implementation of Web-Based Virtual Laboratory Media in Learning

The integration of information and communication technology in learning through the application of virtual laboratory media can be an alternative solution to overcome the constraints of time, cost, and laboratory safety in biology labs. Virtual laboratories are very suitable to be applied to the mechanism of evolution because they involve the context of space and time, and can provide opportunities for students to learn independently and increase active student involvement in learning. These study aims are to determine the effect of the application of virtual laboratory media on the understanding of student concepts; knowing increasing students' understanding of the concept of evolutionary mechanisms, and knowing students' responses after learning with virtual laboratories.This type of research is a pre-experimental design (nondesign) with one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 37 students. The media used as many as 8 web-based virtual laboratory programs (online) that can be freely accessed. Data collection techniques include tests (pretest and posttest) and questionnaires. The pretest and posttest values were analyzed by the T-test while the questionnaire data were analyzed descriptively. The application of web-based virtual laboratory media on the evolution mechanism material influences the understanding of student concepts (t arithmetic> t table then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted) The application of these media increases students' understanding of the concept of evolutionary mechanisms. The mean value increased from pretest 23.65 to 56.08 at the posttest with an increase of 32.43. Student responses to the application of media in learning showed 91.89% of students felt helped in understanding the process of evolution while 100% of students felt helped in understanding the role of evolution in causing evolution.

PENGEMBANGAN LKPD BERORIENTASI EKSPERIMEN DALAM PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK TERPADU DI SEKOLAH DASAR

One effort to improve the quality of education in Indonesia is through efforts to improve teaching and learning at all levels of education. The 2013 curriculum uses an integrated thematic learning approach from class I to class VI. Integrated thematic learning emphasizes student involvement in learning. One way that must be done by teachers in integrated thematic learning, especially in making LKPD is to have to link the material to the real situation of students in life in the community where they will work and live life, namely learning by using experimental methods in the learning process.This study aims to develop learning tools for thematic-oriented experiments in the form of lesson plans, student books, and student worksheets that are valid, practical, and effective.This equipment was developed using a four-D model. Spread not done. Data collection is done by validating and trying out the tools developed. The equipment design has been designed, validated by three experts and practices and then limited tested in class IV of SDN Dadok Tunggul Hitam Padang to determine the alignments and effectiveness of the equipment developed. From the results of this research, it can be seen that experimental learning oriented science equipment for elementary school consisting of lesson plans, and student worksheets has a very valid category. Based on limited tests, it can be seen that the implementation has a good category. Teacher and student responses after using this learning tool showed positive results where the average response was appropriate. Monitoring student activities is very high. Cognitive, affective, and motoric assessments show more completeness than the minimum standard. The conclusion of this study is that science-oriented experimental equipment for elementary schools is declared to be very valid, practical and effective.

PEMANFAATAN MEDIA BERBASIS ICT “KAHOOT” DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PPKN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract: The effective learning is learning centered to the students. This is because students are the centered of learning. The involvement of students in learning is important to provide student’s experience. Some effort to involve students in learning is to provide a learning media. The appropriate learning media must certainly be adapted to the needs of the students in the class. The learning which was conducted at MAN 3 Palembang is based on the result of the analysis of the needs and the materials that the students showed are more enthusiasm if it is use a media. One of the appropriate media is ICT-based which can be easily accessed by students is ICT-based. Kahoot is one of ICT-based media, because it depends network and device. Kahoot can increase students’ motivation because it is multimedia and give challenges to the students. The purpose of this study is to determine the use of kahoot media in learning PPKn to increase student motivation in MAN 3 Palembang. The research method of this study is library research. The discussion of this study are the important of accuracy in the selection of instructional media, kahoot as ICT-based media, efforts to increase students’ motivation and utilization of kahoot media in PPKn learning to increase students’ motivation. PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN VAK (VISUALIZATION, AUDITORY, DAN KINESTETHIC) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV SD NEGERI 147 PEKANBARU

This research is motivated by the low involvement of students in learning. This study aims to determine the differences in the learning outcomes of science students between the experimental class and the control class by applying the learning model VAK. This study uses quasi-experimental methods with a nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted in 147 Public Elementary Schools Pekanbaru with class IV D as the experimental class and class IV A as the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen from the experimental class pretest score of 51.25 and posttest which is 80.63. In the control class the average score of the pretest was 45.53 and posttest was 72.89.The score of the average gain of experimental class science learning outcomes is 0.62 and the average score of the control class is 0.50. The results of the t-test gain score average thitung > ttabel or 2,89966 > 1,99547 then Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the t gain test between the experimental class and the control class there were differences in learning outcomes IPA student learning in class IVSD Negeri 147 Pekanbaru which are significant.

Is integrating earth and space sciences (ESS) with art contexts necessary?

The study aims to obtain facts related to the process of implementing Physics learning on Earth and Space Sciences (ESS) subject in Bandung area. This study has been conducted to 125 twelfth graders and 3 teachers from three high schools in Bandung area through a survey method with questionnaire fulfilment. The results state that the student interest, self-attraction and agreement of integrating ESS subject with other subjects are positively response. On the other hand, the learning should be improved. Physics learning requires the involvement of students in finding their own knowledge through interaction with their environment. However, students stated that the perceived obstacle in ESS learning was the lack of involvement of students in learning. In conclusion, ESS is important to integrate with art context for developing several aspects. Furthermore, ESS developing process is needed to help teachers bring their classes in a more interesting, effective and innovative way.

Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Lancar dengan Menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Learning Tipe Make a Match Siswa Kelas III Semester 2 SD Negeri 64/IV Kota Baru Jambi

This research is backed up that the learning outcomes of elementary School 64/IV Jambi city is still low 58.69 with its submission to only 17.39%, which is only 4 people from 23 class III students elementary School 64/IV Jambi City. This is due to the lack of active participation and student involvement during the learning process. In addition before being addressed this PTK teacher has not used the Make A Match type method, just more using the lecture method. Teachers need to implement learning methods that can encourage student involvement in learning. The Make A Match type method is one of the methods that can fulfill these expectations. The purpose of this research is to know whether the Make A Match type method can increase learning activity and student learning outcomes. This research is a class action research (PTK) with the subject of research is a class III students of even semester (2) Elementary School 64/IV Kota Jambi. The methods of data collection that are tested in this study are the methods of testing and observation. Collected Data is analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in student activity and learning outcomes after receiving learning with the Make A Match type method. The results of increased learning outcomes and student activity will experience an increase in the reading smoothly for students of class III D SD 64/IV of Jambi City. The increase in the I cycle of 64.58 Learning management while the II cycle has increased to be 89.58% very good category. If the management is very good certainly affects the outcome of learning and activity of students that is cycle I activity students 70.58 enough categories while cycle II multiply the increase to 92.83 category very well. Further to the results of learning in the I 65.22 cycle category is enough while the II cycle is experiencing a peningktan to 79.80 good categories. It can be concluded that using a problem-based learning method can improve learning activities and student learning outcomes.

PENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA PADA PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK MENGGUNAKAN PBL

The purpose of this research is to explain the steps of Problem Based Learning model to increase student involvement in learning and the result of the learning, knowing the enhancement of the student involved, and knowing the growth of student’s learning result. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research which it should be done in two cycles. This research has been done in First Noborejo National Elementary School and the subject of this research is fourth-grade students consists of 34 people. The data collection technic of this research is using test and non-test technic. The technic that we used to analyze all the data is quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of this research showing that applying steps of Problem Based Learning Model which is orientated student on the problem, organizing student to learn, guide the individual and social experience, developing and providing masterpiece of the student, also analyzing and evaluating problem-solving process, an increased student involved and science learning outcomes in thematic learning on fourth grade student of First Noborejo National Elementary School. The proof of this research’s result is the growth of students involved from their first condition (pre-cycle) which was 77,47 and categorized as less active and after using this model, for the first cycle, it increased and reached 95,44 with category pretty active. In the second cycle, the average of the student involved increased become 118,32 with category active. The student learning outcomes also increased with the first learning outcomes average (pre-cycle) is 62,17 and only 13 students that pass the test (38,23%). It becomes better with the average grades of student’s learning outcomes is 78,39 and 23 students passed the test (67,64%). On the second cycle, the average grades of the student learning outcomes are 83,29 and 28 students passed the test (82,36).

Influence of Teaching Style on Pupils Engagement in Physical and Sport Education in Grammar School of Brazzaville

The aim of the study is to analyze whether the teaching style in Physical and Sport Education (PSE) influences the involvement of students in learning. The theory that non-interference, democratic and authoritarian styles of teaching at different times in the same physical and sport education lessons promotes student engagement in the building of motor skills. Our study took place in Brazzaville in public grammar school. A sample of 20 Physical and sport education teachers and 321 grade 4 and 3 students took part in the experiment. A questionnaire was distributed to students to determine the causes of their commitment to the teacher’s perception of the personality, the representations of the physical and sport education discipline and the teaching styles used by the teacher similarly, another questionnaire prepared was intended for teachers to analyze learning situations and to interpret teachers’ behaviours. The results show that 52% of pupils are involved in “learning and progress” learning with the authoritarian style, 58% of pupils are involved in learning “maintain order in physical and sport education” with the authoritarian style, against 40% of students are involved in learning to “get involved” with the non-interference style and 53% of students are involved in learning to “have fun” with the democratic style. In conclusion, the physical and sport education teachers favor much more the authoritarian style during the lessons of physical and sport education, in the Grammar schools of Brazzaville.

USE OF ROLE PLAYING TECHNIQUES IN DRAMA LEARNING AS EFFORTS TO IMPROVE SPEAKING ABILITY IN INDONESIAN LANGUAGE LESSONS

Teacher and student interaction in the teaching and learning process does not have to be dominated by the teacher, but must rely on students. In determining learning techniques the teacher must pay attention to the involvement of students in learning. Speaking is the ability to speak articulation sounds or words to express, express and convey thoughts, ideas, and feelings. This study aims to determine the ability of students in speaking through the activities of playing drama characters, knowing the difficulties faced by students, and finding solutions to overcome student learning difficulties. The method used in this research is class action method. The research instrument consisted of observation, ability to speak practice, questionnaire and field notes. From the results of research and data processing, it was concluded that overall, the implementation of role playing learning techniques in improving speaking skills was carried out through three cycles of action implementation which focused on three pronunciation indicators, intonation, expression, had a considerable impact with the target of increasing speaking ability student. In other words, that speaking learning using role playing learning techniques has a positive impact on improving the ability of sixth grade students of Public Elementary School 055 Jatihandap, Bandung City.

IMPLEMENTASI LESSON STUDY PADA MATA KULIAH PENGANTAR LOGIKA DI STKIP MUHAMMADIYAH KOTABUMI

Pengantar logika which focus on teacher-centered learning leads to the lack of student involvement in learning. This study aims to describe the application of learning models TAI-based lesson study and see the impact on improving student learning activities. Application of lesson study consists of three stages: planning, implementation (do), and reflection (see). Open lesson implementation is done three times. Based on the findings of the observers, the application of lesson study is able to shift the learning paradigm from teacher-centered to student-centered. This is indicated by the more dominant student activity in learning and increasing student activity every cycle.
